The Muslim mob attack on Hindus in Harrow has reopened the wounds of the 2022 anti-Hindu Leicester violence. In recent years, Hindus have constantly been targeted and villainised by the Islamo-leftist cabal.
Both the Muslim men fled the spot; however, they returned with a mob carrying weapons, including pipes in their hands and started fighting with the Hindus involved in the Holika Dahan
Clearly, there is a coordinated echo chamber that has been recycling the same old, and most importantly, debunked anti-Hindu propaganda to whitewash Islamist extremism and violence. These attempts to delegitimise OpIndia’s exposure of anti-Hindu violence in Leicester, by recycling the same tropes have been ongoing since 2022.
The School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) report titled 'Better Together: Understanding the 2022 Violence in Leicester', claims that its findings show that “no single community or group is ‘to blame’ for the violence, distrust, and tensions that erupted in 2022.” However, the report conveniently picked Hindus, Hindutva, and the BJP government in India to blame for violence and communal polarisation in Leicester in 2022.
The local police said that Venkatesh and Aziz's families have been neighbours for about 15 years. Recently, Aziz and his wife, Afia, had a falling out, after which Afia left the house with the children. Aziz sought Venkatesh's help to prevent the family from breaking up.
In a statement, Geeta Sikand, the media representative of the Global Coalition for the Protection of Hindus in Bangladesh, said, “This is about ensuring the world pays attention to the suffering of vulnerable communities. We are asking for protection, accountability, and peace.”
Meanwhile, Ujjain district Superintendent of Police Pradip Sharma said, “We have already detained 15–20 men found involved in the violence. CCTV footage and video clips are being scanned to identify more rioters who engaged in violence.”
The incident unfolded in Sukhla Gali, opposite the Bade Ram Mandir, where Vishwa Hindu Parishad city minister Sohail Thakur (Bundela) was standing. Ishaan Mirza and several other young men arrived and questioned him about his position. The situation escalated into an argument and then a fight.
