Amid allegations of irregularities in the conduct of entrance examinations, the National Testing Agency (NTA) claimed on Sunday that its website and all its web portals are fully secure

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) said that it has robust SOPs for exams ahead of NEET-PG

“We are committed to holding zero-error exams, and a high-level committee is being formed to improve NTA functioning," Education minster Dharmendra Pradhan said

NEET candidate Anurag Yadav from Bihar has confessed that the leaked question paper given to him by his uncle matched the actual exam paper.

The counsel further informed the court that the NTA has decided to take legal action in the matter. Meanwhile, counsel representing NEET candidate Ayushi Patel informed the court that he has nothing to say in the petitioner’s defence. The court called it a "sorry state of affairs".

The apex court, while hearing fresh petitions relating to alleged paper leaks and malpractices in the NEET-UG, 2024 exam on May 5 this year, issued notices and sought a response from NTA within two weeks.

Regarding NEET examination, Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan assured that every aspect is being looked into, accountability will be fixed, and depending on the nature of the lapse, action will be taken.

Students continue to protest against the NTA demanding the re-examination of all the students and not just 1,563 of them who were given grace marks

The government also told the apex court that these NEET students would be informed of their actual marks (without the grace marks) and given the option to take a re-test

Many candidates are concerned that the mark inflation in the NEET UG 2024 results will make it more difficult to get into medical school this year. Several students have taken to social media to demand that the results be cancelled and a re-examination be held.
