Protests have intensified in Sindh following the fatal shooting of Kailash Kolhi, a Hindu tenant farmer, by a local feudal lord. While the accused remains at large, rights groups like the Minority Rights Organization are calling for terrorism charges and a crackdown on the systematic persecution of poor minority workers in rural Pakistan.

Mahira Akhtar, a Pakistani citizen, worked as a government school teacher in Rampur, UP, for years by concealing her identity and using forged documents. Exposed in a departmental inquiry, she was dismissed, and police filed an FIR for fraud and forgery under IPC sections.

Pakistan activated its diplomatic network in the US almost immediately after Operation Sindoor began. Pakistani diplomats contacted senior officials across the Trump administration, members of Congress, the Pentagon, and the State Department nearly 60 times in a matter of weeks.
