The five Pakistani nationals include Afzal Khan, Mohammed Moaz Akbar, Ahmed Mumtaz, Arslan Ali Sajjad, and Abdul Rahman Abdul Sattar. The Bangladeshi national arrested by Bahraini authorities has been identified as Mohamed Israfel Meer.
Complainant Rukhsana said the duo entered India on a Pakistani passport, fraudulently secured Indian documents, travelled abroad multiple times and continued residing in Meerut without lawfully acquiring Indian citizenship.
During the India-Pakistan cricket series in 2007, several Pakistani fans came to India to watch matches, including one at Green Park Stadium in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. Out of these, 32 Pakistani nationals overstayed their visit and 28 of them have remained untraceable.
