Police in Rajasthan’s Sriganganagar registered a case against pastor Baggu Singh and his son for forced conversions through alleged miracle cures. Villagers protested outside the police station, demanding the pastor’s arrest within 48 hours.
The pastor claimd that his magical water, which has the blessings of Jesus Christ, can completely cure any person of any disease, in a period of 3 months.
Accused Nihal told the victim's father that his daughter had been converted to Islam and was married to a Maulvi. He referred to the victim's father as 'Kafir' and said that he will send him to 'Jahannum' (hell).
The gang had more than 20 WhatsApp groups. Photos and videos were uploaded every day. Slowly, Hindu youths were trapped by uploading obscene photos and videos. If the youth showed interest, he was called to the madrasa. There were girls who were tasked with brainwashing the Hindu youths.
The police seized several incriminating materials from the possession of the accused and the victim, including religious literature promoting conversion, CDs containing videos of fugitive Islamist preacher Zakir Naik, skull caps, and garlands.
