BJP came to help the victims when the administration failed to do so in the face of Islamist violence. Led by leaders like Suvendu Adhikari and Sreerupa Mitra Chaudhury, the party has helped Hindus at every level.

Some TMC leaders blamed the BJP and Hindus for the Murshidabad violence whereas others dismissed its severity.

Al Jazeera, through its Goebbels-like propaganda, attempted to blame Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the carnage in Murshidabad instead of the rioting Muslim mobs that set Hindu homes on fire, destroyed livelihoods, issued death and rape threats and poisoned water tanks.

On being asked whether he was attacked for performing Charak Puja rituals, the victim said, "It is quite possible."

Muslim minors have been involved in several violent incidents across the nation, especially over the last few months.

The incident sparked a nationwide outrage, especially after West Bengal’s Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee,  a woman herself, downplayed Sandeshkhali rape cases passing them off as ‘minor incident’.

One Hindu woman said that bombs were being hurled in Murshidabad, prompting her to flee her home. Another woman said, “They told us that Modi passed the Bill (Waqf Amendment), and so we will not allow any Hindus to live here.”

BJP has lashed out at Trinamool Congress MP Yusuf Pathan for posting photos of him sipping "good chai (tea)" in "calm surroundings".
