Germany to accept Indian passports issued in 2018 again, MEA resolves issue

We had reported how if one has got an Indian passport issued or renewed in the year 2018, would face issues in travelling to Germany since Germany was refusing to accept the newer passports because of the manner in which the passport number was punched through all the pages.

As it has now emerged, the Ministry of External Affairs has adequately communicated the issue to Germany, and Germany has started accepting the new passports.

We had reported earlier how several people were facing immense problems due to this issue. This seems to have been now resolved.
