SP leader makes sexist remark against BJP leader Jaya Prada, says people in Rampur will be ‘entertained’ by her presence

Azam Khan himself has made sexist remarks against Jaya Prada in the past and called her a "naachnegaane wali" (singer-dancer)

Samajwadi Party’s Sambhal District President, Firoz Khan has exhibited his mental sickness by passing an extremely outrageous remark against the BJP’s newly inducted member, veteran actor-turned-politician, Jaya Prada.

Firoz Khan, a close aide of SPs controversial leader Azam Khan, in a highly disgraceful remark said that people of Rampur, the constituency Jaya Prada would be representing against Azam Khan, will make full use of this one time opportunity granted to them.

In a lewd and sexist remark, Khan said that Jaya Prada would henceforth adorn the evenings of the people of Rampur. He said that residents of the district would stay entertained and their evenings will now be colourful as Jaya Prada would be visiting Rampur frequently to campaign for the Lok Sabha elections.

Continuing to deliver filth, Firoz Khan said that the people of Sambhal, an adjoining district, would also now like to spend their maximum time in Rampur since Jaya Prada would be present there.

Firoz Khan further added that people of Rampur are prudent enough to vote for the Samajwadi party but they are also smart enough to make full use of this God-sent opportunity.

His audacious words were nothing but a cheap display of his trivial thinking and his party’s ideologies. He further insulted Jaya Prada by saying that the people of Rampur would indulge in cheap thrills when Jaya Prada visits her constituency and sing songs like “mere pairon mein ghungroo bandhado aur Phir meri chaal dekhlo” referring to a Hindi song from the movie Sunghursh (1968).

Meanwhile, SP leader Azam Khan, who is representing the party from Rampur constituency has also shared a bitter relationship with Jaya Prada in the past. In fact, earlier Jaya Prada had revealed that Azam Khan had attempted an acid attack on her. She had also stated that due to Khan, she had once perceived a threat to her life and was under severe trauma.

Recently, Jaya Prada in a veiled attack said that Allauddin Khilji’s character reminded her of Azam Khan while the latter had taunted her with a similar sexist remark calling her a nachneganne wali (dancer-singer).

The war of words between the two candidates is expected to only intensify in the days to come as Jaya Prada and Azam Khan, continuing with their 10-year-old feud, are ready to battle it out at Rampur again.

Ironically, it was Azam Khan who initially brought Jaya Prada into Samajwadi Party fold and helped her win in Rampur parliamentary constituency on the party ticket. Jaya Prada had won the Lok Sabha election from Rampur in 2004 and 2009.

However, the relations turned sour as Jaya Prada sided with former Samajwadi Party general secretary Amar Singh. Things worsened to such an extent that Azam Khan supporters openly campaigned against her during 2009 Lok Sabha elections.

Azam Khan will be contesting Lok Sabha elections for the first time while Jaya Prada has won the Rampur seat twice before this.
