Karnataka Shocker: Enraged man kills wife for not serving him dinner, beheads and skins the body

On the night of 27th May a man named Shivarama from Tumkur, Karnataka, was arrested for killing his wife because she had refused to serve him food. He not only ended her life but also severed her head and removed all of her skin. The corpse of 35-year-old Pushpalatha was discovered in the kitchen of the home she stayed with him in the village of Huliyurudurga in the district.

The couple, who had been together for more than ten years, had an eight-year-old boy and lived in a rented house. The woman’s skin had been peeled off by the accused, exposing her veins and intestines as her body lay in a pool of blood next to the decapitated head in the house.

According to the police, the couple had a fight after Shivaram who is employed at a sawmill got home from work on Monday night. His job was a frequent point of contention for them. Afterwards, she refused to offer him dinner and the argument escalated to the point where he stabbed the victim in a bit of rage and then chopped off portions of her body with a machete. He then continued to skin the corpse until the wee hours of 28th May. Their son who was present inside the residence was asleep during this time.

He proceeded to disclose his horrifying act in front of his landlord and his employer the next morning. The employer informed the police immediately, after which police reached the spot.

“A 35-year-old female’s body was found at the spot. Her husband was also at the spot. During questioning, he confessed to the murder,” mentioned Ashok Venkat, Tumkur Superintendent of Police. He added, “We have secured the accused. Shivaram and Pushpa were married for 10 years in an intercaste marriage. They had minor fights. Yesterday they had a fight over employment issues. He killed his wife and informed his employer. They immediately informed us. We have sent the body for post-mortem.”

Karnataka Deputy CM DK Shivakumar claims Kerala Aghoris are performing ‘black magic’ rituals, sacrificing goats, pigs to destabilise Congress govt

0

In a shocking revelation, Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister, DK Shivakumar on Thursday said that Kerala tantriks were being used to carry out black magic against him and Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to destabilise the Congress government in the state.

Speaking to reporters at his Sadashivanagar residence, he said, “Kerala tantriks are being used to carry out ‘Shatru Bairavi Yajna’ against us. We have strong faith that God and people’s blessings will protect us.”

Shivakumar claimed that he had credible information that the black magic rituals are being carried out in an isolated place near Raja Rajeshwari temple in Kerala to destabilise our government in Karnataka.

“They are using tantriks to carry out ‘Raja Kantaka’ and ‘Marana Mohana Sthambana’ yajna. The people who were privy to the black magic rituals have given us all the information,” he said.

Shivakumar said that the yajnas are being conducted by ‘Aghoris’ and 21 red goats, three buffaloes, 21 black sheep, and five pigs are being sacrificed for black magic.

“These yajnas are being conducted through Aghoris, and we have information that pancha bali – 21 red goats, 3 buffaloes, 21 black sheep and 5 pigs – is being sacrificed for the black magic,” he added.

The Dy CM further said that despite their attempts and experiments to cause harm, the force that he believes in will protect him.

“Let them do black magic, it is their belief, the force that we believe in will protect us. I always pray to God before leaving home,” he added.

On being asked if the magic was being carried out by the BJPs or the JD (S) he maintained that politicians from Karnataka are responsible.

“We know who is getting it done. Politically active people are targeted frequently. I know who is conducting this ritual. Let them continue their efforts; I don’t bother,” added Shivakumar.

Bangladesh: Muslim students brutally thrash Hindu boy over ‘blasphemy’, victim in critical state

A Hindu student named Utsab Kumar Gian, studying at the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Science and Technology University in Bangladesh, was thrashed by a Muslim mob on accusations of blasphemy.

It was alleged that Utsab initially posted a ‘derogatory message’ against Prophet Muhammad in a social media group and then deleted it later. When the news spread that the victim allegedly committed ‘blasphemy’, Muslim students of the university gheraoed him on Sunday (26th May).

They brutally thrashed Utsab and coerced him to confess about ‘mocking’ Prophet Muhammad. The frenzied mob of Muslim students then took the victim to the proctor Md. Kamruzzaman’s office, where he was forced to provide a written confession.

Utsab was again beaten mercilessly by the same mob and was later handed over to the Gopalganj Sadar police station in Dhaka Division of Bangladesh.

Due to the serious nature of his injuries, Utsab was admitted to the Gopalganj Sadar Hospital. After his condition worsened, the victim was rushed to the Khulna Medical College Hospital, followed by the Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

In the meantime, the accused who assaulted Utsab demanded strict legal punishment against him and permanent expulsion from the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Science and Technology University.

At the time of writing, the victim was said to be unconscious. While speaking about the matter, Gopalganj Sadar Police Station OC said, “We have admitted him to the hospital. Let him get well first. Following that, we will take appropriate legal action.”

In the meantime, the university’s proctor Md. Kamruzzaman remarked, “He (Utsab Kumar Gian) confessed to blasphemy. He has been remanded in police custody and legal action will be taken.”

“The Vice-Chancellor and the Deputy Vice-Chancellor of the university are absent. I have communicated the matter to them over the phone. Necessary measures will be taken against Utsab after their return.

Earlier this month, a Bangladeshi court sentenced a Hindu girl named Tithy Sarkar to 5 years in prison A former student of Jagannath University, Sarkar was booked by the police on 2nd November 2020. She was also the convenor of World Hindu Struggle Council and office secretary of the Students Protection Council of Jagannath University.

Kerala: Air India Express crew member Surabhi Khatun arrested from Kannur Airport after 1 kg gold found in rectum

An Air India Express crew member identified as Surabhi Khatun was arrested for purportedly smuggling nearly one kilogram of gold from Muscat to Kannur by hiding it in her rectum. On the 28th of May, the DRI at Kannur International Airport intercepted Surabhi Khatun, a cabin crew member from Kolkata, who had arrived from Muscat. During the search, 960 grams of gold in compound form was recovered.

After being interrogated and completing all formalities, she was brought before the court and sentenced to 14 days in Kannur’s women’s prison. This is the first time in India that an airline crew member has been arrested for smuggling gold by concealing it in the rectum.

Meanwhile, an investigation is now underway and the information obtained thus far indicates that Khatun smuggled gold multiple times. The role of Kerala-based persons in the smuggling gang is also being probed.

Earlier this week, a similar incident was reported involving a Air India Express passenger. A Kottayam native woman who arrived at Kochi International Airport from Dubai in an Air India Express flight with illegal gold worth Rs 20 lakh was arrested by customs officials. The officials recovered gold biscuits weighing 261 grams tucked in her socks.

Big question on US ‘democracy’ as Biden’s main opponent Donald Trump declared ‘guilty’ in finance case

Following a New York jury’s verdict, former President Donald Trump stands convicted on all 34 felony charges of falsifying business records, raising pertinent questions about his future political endeavours and voting rights, CNN reported.

As the verdict reverberates across political circles, one of the most pressing inquiries emerges: Can a convicted felon run for president? The answer, unequivocally, is yes.

The US Constitution outlines three prerequisites for presidential candidates: natural-born citizenship, a minimum age of 35, and at least 14 years of US residency – criteria that Trump satisfies. Although the 14th Amendment imposes restrictions on individuals engaged in insurrection, a special law invocation by Congress remains necessary, an unlikely scenario in the current political landscape, according to the CNN report.

Judge Juan Merchan has slated Trump’s sentencing for July 11, strategically coinciding with the Republican National Convention’s commencement in Milwaukee, just four days later. Speculation looms over the possibility of a prison sentence for Trump, despite the likelihood of a non-incarceration outcome for most Class E felony convictions in New York, according to CNN senior legal analyst Elie Honig.

Notably, Trump’s status as a former president entitles him to lifetime Secret Service protection, ensuring security regardless of his legal predicament.

However, the prospect of a presidential campaign from a prison cell is not unprecedented. Eugene Debs, the socialist leader, mounted a presidential bid from a federal prison in Atlanta during his 10-year sentence for sedition in 1920.

While Trump’s eligibility to run for president remains intact, questions regarding his voting rights post-conviction linger. State regulations dictate felons’ voting privileges, with Vermont and Maine permitting voting from prison.

Trump’s residency in Florida introduces additional complexities, as the state’s referendum to re-enfranchise convicted felons in 2018 was accompanied by stipulations mandating the payment of fines and fees associated with sentences.

Neil Volz, deputy director of the Florida Rights Restoration Coalition, predicts minimal obstacles for Trump’s voting rights restoration, given Florida’s deference to felony conviction jurisdiction.

Despite the state’s ongoing efforts to streamline eligibility confirmation for formerly incarcerated individuals, confusion persists regarding fee requirements, hindering many from exercising their right to vote, CNN reported.

Sexual harassment case: JDS MP Prajwal Revanna arrested after landing in Bengaluru airport, to be produced in court today

Suspended MP Prajwal Revanna, who was arrested in the obscene video case at the Bengaluru Airport soon after he landed, is expected to be taken out for medical examination soon, following which he will be produced before the court.

Revanna was brought to the CID office in Bengaluru after he landed at Kempegowda International Airport. He is likely to face a probe by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) over allegations of sexual harassment and criminal intimidation following a complaint by a woman who worked in his household.

He returned to India from Berlin, Germany, nearly a month after leaving the country on a diplomatic passport and was immediately taken into custody.

The Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the Karnataka government detained Revanna on his arrival at Bengaluru airport. According to officials, Revanna will be produced in court later today in connection with the alleged obscene video case.

The SIT team confiscated two of his check-in bags and took them away in a separate car. Security was stepped up outside the CID office in Bengaluru, and barricades were put outside the office ahead of Revanna’s arrival.

Revanna is facing a probe by the SIT over allegations of sexual harassment and criminal intimidation following a complaint by a woman who worked in his household. He returned to India from Berlin, Germany, nearly a month after leaving the country on a diplomatic passport and was immediately taken into custody.

Prajwal Revanna, in a self-made video released on May 27, said that he will appear before the SIT on May 31 for questioning. Revanna said that his trip was pre-planned as there was no case against him when the voting was held in Karnataka on April 26 for the general elections. He also alleged political conspiracy against him as he was “growing in politics.”

The anticipatory bail plea filed by Revanna on May 29 is still pending in court. Revanna’s anticipatory bail plea was filed hours after the SIT arrested two prime accused in connection with the case. The arrested have been identified as Naveen Gowda and Chetan, the police said on Wednesday.

According to police sources, the accused were arrested when they appeared before the High Court seeking anticipatory bail. Arrested Chetan Gowda and Naveen Gowda allegedly distributed pen drives containing videos of Prajwal Revanna sexually assaulting women.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal on Thursday said that a show cause notice was issued against Revanna on May 23 and action to revoke his diplomatic passport was initiated.

“MEA has initiated action under provisions in the Passport Act 1967 for revocation of the diplomatic passport of Prajwal Revanna. A show cause notice was issued to the passport holder on May 23, giving him 10 working days to respond to our notice. We are waiting for his response and accordingly, we will take things forward once we hear from him or once the 10-day period expires,” he said.

AAP again claims Arvind Kejriwal lost weight in jail, Tihar jail again publishes his health data busting the lie

On Monday, AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal claimed that his weight decreased by 7 kg in a month without a reason, and this is a serious health problem. He made the claims after approaching the Supreme Court seeking an extension of his interim bail by 7 days, which was rejected by the court later on Tuesday. And now, data released by Tihar jail shows that his weight remained mostly unchanged during his stay in the jail.

Addressing a press conference in Bathinda, Kejriwal said on Monday, “My weight has fallen a lot. If a person’s weight falls by 7 kg in a month without any reason, then it is a very serious problem. So the doctors have prescribed several tests. I have asked for 7 days so that I can get all my tests done within a week. There could be some serious disease going on inside. The doctors said that if all the tests are done, then at least we will know whether some serious disease is going on inside or not.”

AAP leaders further claimed that Kejriwal has lost 7 kilograms weight in ED custody after his arrest and his ketone level is high which could signal some serious disease. AAP leader and Delhi minister Atishi said, “Despite being out of custody and under medical supervision, he has not been able to regain the weight again. Early tests have indicated that his ketone levels are extremely high. Unexplained sudden weight loss along with high ketone levels could be the indicator of some serious medical ailments, including damage to the kidneys, including cancer.”

She claimed that doctors have advised a series of tests, including “PET scans of his entire body, and other such serious tests,” justifying the demand for bail.

However, data released by Tihar jail on Kejriwal’s health expose that all these claims are nothing but lies. In a statement issued today (30 May 2024), the senior medical in-charge of Tihar jail gave details of Kejriwal’s body weight on 6 different days from 1 April to 9 May, which show his weight fell from 65 kg to 64, which had gone up to 66 kg in between.

Therefore, when Arvind Kejriwal was in judicial custody in Tihar Jail, his weight remained almost constant, and there was no drastic 7 kg fall as claimed by Kejriwal and other AAP leaders.

This is not the first time the AAP claimed Kejriwal’s weight loss after his arrest. In the first week of April, AAP had claimed his weight had decreased by 4.5 kg. But the Tihar Jail authorities had busted this lie by releasing his medical data, which showed that his weight was constant at 65 kg. Later his weight went by 1 kg to 66 kg.

His weight gain in jail was the result of consumption of sugar-rich food, despite being a diabatic patient. ED had alleged that the Delhi CM was trying to boost his blood sugar level by eating mangos, potatoes, sweets etc, all brought from his home, in order to claim bail on medical grounds.

This shows that AAP is lying about Arvind Kejriwal’s weight while the data proves otherwise. Atishi claimed the weight went down during ED custody. But earlier in April, the claim was that weight decreased by 4.5 kg, and now they are saying 7 kg. His weight has remained constant from the day he was sent to Tihar to the day he was released on interim bail.

Atishi claimed that when ED arrested Kejriwal, his weight was 69.5 kg, so it went down by 4.5 kg to reach 65 when he was sent to Tihar. On 9 May, the day before he was released, his weight was 64 kg. Therefore, even if it is true that his weight was 69.5 kg on 21 March, it will be a fall of 5.5 kg over two months, not a 7 kg fall in a month.

Sexual torture, rape of corpses, degradation of dead bodies of women and more: What the UN report said about Hamas atrocities against Israeli women during 7 October attack

On 26th May, 45 Palestinians taking shelter in Rafah were killed in an air strike initiated by Israel to kill Hamas operatives. A tent where refugees were taking shelter was destroyed in the air strike. The elderly and children were also killed in the strike. Within hours, Israel acknowledged the mistake leading to the deaths of 45 refugees and initiated an investigation into the matter.

Campaigns ran online and offline against Israel calling it a genocidal nation. However, no one talked about the context of the air strikes that have been happening since 7th October 2023, the day on which Hamas terrorists entered Israel and killed over 1,300 people. Incidents of rape and sexual violence against women as well as corpses were reported in a UN report.

In a report released by the United Nations, it was revealed how harrowing were the cases of sexual violence done by terrorists of Hamas and its associated groups on 7th October 2023 when they attacked Israel. The UN mission conducted research from 29th January to 14th February 2024 and documented a series of atrocities committed against women from Israel and foreign nationals who came under attack. It shed light on the brutality and atrocities faced by the victims.

Context of the attack

On the morning of 7th October 2023, Hamas terrorists launched a rocket attack on Israel and used it as a shield to barge into Israeli territory along with other armed terrorist organisations including Palestinian Islamic Jihad and Popular Resistance Committees. They breached the Gaza perimeter fence and launched a coordinated attack on civilians as well as military targets. The attack resulted in the death of over 1,300 people including women, the elderly, and children. Thousands were reported injured and hundreds were taken hostage by Hamas. The hostages were transported to Gaza.

Findings on sexual violence

The United Nation’s mission found that there was a pattern of extreme sexual violence including rape, gang rape and mutilation of corpses. The report indicated there were at least three locations where such heinous acts were witnessed by the victim.

Nova Music Festival and surrounding areas

There were around 3,500 attendees from Israel and other countries at the Nova Music Festival. As it was near the Gaza perimeter fence, it became the site of mass murder and sexual violence. According to the eyewitnesses and credible information gathered by the UN mission, there were multiple incidents of rape and gang rape. In several cases, the victims were murderers. Some of the most disturbing reports included instances where the corpses of women were raped by the terrorists. Several bodies were left naked from the waist down, tied and shot in the head revealing a systematic pattern of sexual violence.

Road 232 and escape routes became centres of sexual violence

The attendees of the Nova festivals and residents of the surrounding areas took Road 232 as their escape route. However, they faced unimaginable horrors while trying to save themselves. There were bodies found with severe injuries, including genital mutilation and extensive burn damage across the route. Witnesses reported that there were incidents of rape with those who tried to escape from Road 232. The mission team found a pattern of bodies that were partially or fully naked, suggesting there were incidents of sexual violence.

Kibbutzim Re’im, Be’eri, and Kfar Aza

Similar atrocities were reported in the kibbutzim of Re’im, Be’eri, and Kfar Aza. In Kibbutz Re’im. According to reports, a woman was raped outside a bomb shelter. In Kibbutz Be’eri and Kfar Aza, the agencies found dead bodies of women who were naked, tied and shot, which indicated possible sexual violence.

Nahal Oz Military Base and hostages were taken to Gaza

The Nahal Oz military base became a hub for signals intelligence and saw significant casualties and abductions. There were reports of rape and genital mutilation at the base. Some reports suggest that the reports could not be verified, however, the pattern of injuries pointed there were possible cases of sexual violence. The mission team found clear and convincing evidence that hostages taken to Gaza were subjected to rape, sexualized torture, and other forms of inhumane treatment. The mission also believes that the atrocities are still ongoing against the hostages that are yet to be freed.

The UN report painted a grim picture of the atrocities committed by Hamas and its associated terrorist organisations against the women from Israel and other nations during the 7th October attack. The documented cases of sexual violence, rape of corpses, and degradation of dead bodies highlight there is an urgent need for accountability and justice for the victims. It was Hamas’s actions that resulted in the wrath of Israel on Gaza. It would not be an exaggeration to say that the alleged victims of Israel’s strikes on Gaza are collateral damage to Israel’s determination to rub off the name of Hamas from the face of the earth.

All Eyes on Rafah campaign – one-sided propaganda whitewashing Hamas’s crimes

On 28th May, several celebrities from India shared stories on Rafah. An AI-generated image with the text “All Eyes On Rafah” was shared on the social media platform Instagram over 33 million times. Here are some of the celebrities who shared the image or a similar story.

Actors and actresses including Malaika Arora Khan, Zareen Khan, Sonam Kapoor, Kriti Kharbanda, Nora Fatehi, DQ Salmaan, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, tripti Dimri, Rakul Preet, Rahul Dua, Varun Dhawan, Nitanshi Goel, Urfi Javed, Swara Bhaskar and Ahsaas Channa were among those who shared the same story on social media. On the other hand, Huma Qureshi and Kareena Kapoor shared a post published by UNICEF calling for a ceasefire in the region. Here are screenshots of the stories published by these celebrities.

What happened in Rafah? IDF says civilian casualties may be result of Hamas explosive warehouse inside civilian area

Rafah is the southernmost part of the Gaza Strip. It shares a border with Egypt and the Rafah crossing is presently the only way Gaza residents can leave the area. However, Egypt only allows humanitarian aid inside. Egypt has refused all requests for evacuation and does not allow Palestinians to enter their nation.

At least that was what the world thought, because, recently Israel’s military operations in Rafah exposed several tunnels extending from Rafah to Egypt, allegedly allowing Hamas terrorists to enter Egyptian territory without anyone noticing. Israel has claimed at the ICJ hearing that Egypt’s government knew about those tunnels.

On 26th May (local time) Palestinian terrorist organisation Hamas launched rockets at the Tel Aviv area in Israel. Sirens were heard across the region warning the residents to take shelter immediately. Hours after the rocket strike by the terrorist group, Israeli forces launched an airstrike at Rafah, an area that is the southern most part of the Gaza strip, where currently many Palestinians have taken shelter.

Notably, it is on the border with Egypt. During the airstrike, Israel accidentally hit a tent camp where reportedly displaced Palestinians were living. Media reports have claimed that around 45 people including children and elderly lost their lives and 200 were injured in the strike. However, Israel has denied it, saying they had hit a terrorist shelter away from civilian area.

IDF has stated that they had launched a precision strike with a limited amount of explosives at an area 1.7 km away from the civilian zone. However, secondary explosions might have been triggered because Hamas has a habit of storing explosives and munitions in civilian areas, often using civilian compounds as cover.

Also, Hamas has been successfully running a misinformation campaign. They have earlier made misleading, sometimes totally false claims amplifying victimhood, while using Palestinian civilians as human shield throughout the conflict. One such attempt was the desperate efforts to claim “hundreds of civilians killed in Shifa hospital“. Soon enough, images and videos exposed their lies. The fire incident in a parking lot was amplified as mass destruction, with active help from international media.

The attack by Israeli forces was aimed at killing Hamas operatives hiding in the area and they successfully neutralised two of them. United Nations and the World Health Organisation condemned the air strike on Rafah. Israel has expressed regret over the death of 45 people in the fire and explosions and launched an investigation in the matter.

Displaced priorities: The hypocrisy of selective outrage

The recent surge in such posts by numerous Indian celebrities has brought to light a troubling trend of selective outrage. A particular image was shared over 33 million times worldwide on Instagram which appears to be an attempt to create a negative narrative against Israel. These celebrities collectively amplified the message which reminded of the “I am ashamed” placard campaign during the Kathua incident. Instead of trying to get into the depth of the incident to find out what happened, Hindus were targeted with selective outrage. However, their conspicuous silence on other pressing issues reveals a stark hypocrisy.

The social media onslaught of the ‘All eyes on Rafah’ campaign has again exposed how celebrities are detached from ground realities and the bigger picture. Dozens of hostages taken away by Hamas after the October 7 massacre are yet to return home. Recently released videos show how brutally young girls were raped and tortured by Hamas terrorists, but none of that was enough to incite concern from these celebrities with millions of followers.

120 organizations, opposition, activists and pet journalists plan to create tensions ahead of election results, conspire to get the polls cancelled by court after PM Modi’s victory

Neelu Vyas Thomas, who calls herself a journalist and is associated with Ajit Anjum’s YouTube channel has made some alarming disclosures. Now, instead of believing in democracy, the group that opposed mobs and protested against mob lynching is inciting society to anarchy. However, this is not a novel development as a pattern can be discerned if one looks at Shaheen Bagh, the farmers’ agitation, or even Rahul Gandhi’s remarks overseas.

The votes for Lok Sabha elections are scheduled to be counted on 4th June. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to be re-elected for a third term in office. The opposition did form the I.N.D.I. Alliance, but the JDU of Nitish Kumar, the RLD of Jayant Chaudhary, and the SBSP of Om Prakash Rajbhar withdrew from the coalition. TMC is not part of the alliance, while AAP is contesting against the alliance in Punjab.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi hosted over 200 rallies and roadshows and had interviews with over 80 media outlets while very few opposition leaders—aside from Tejashwi Yadav—were observed undertaking any considerable groundwork.

Neelu Vyas Thomas in the video claimed that training is being provided for all opposition counting agents and that arrangements are underway for handling exit polls. Furthermore, she asserted that plans are in place for a large-scale protest in the event that vote fraud is discovered after which the election might be invalidated and legal action pursued. In other words, it indicates that the opposition would not accept the glorious festival of democracy.

What kind of training are the polling agents receiving? It’s possible that the counting centres will have a similar situation to that of Chhapra, Bihar, where two people were killed when Rohini Acharya, the RJD candidate and daughter of former Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav, arrived and provoked violence during the polling. The security personnel must exercise extreme caution if this is the case. It’s possible that polling agents are being instructed to generate conflict and create tensions.

The opposition knows exactly how to take advantage of social media for this. Fake footage will be shared on social media, and if there is a technical issue, it will be magnified to the point where it appears that electronic voting machines (EVMs) nationwide have been breached, leading to harassment of the counting staff. On the day of counting, we should be ready to put an end to this kind of social media trickery. The identity of the polling agents needs to be looked into in advance.

As per Neelu Vyas Thomas, the other crucial point is that arrangements are being made for the management of exit polls. We would like to inform you that all TV stations and survey organizations will release their exit polls on the evening of 1st June, after the conclusion of the seventh and final phase of voting. These polls will claim to indicate the number of seats that each party could obtain. The opposition is obviously aware that the BJP would be shown as winning an overwhelming majority as it is also the ground reality.

It’s true that the opposition knows it is losing. During the exit polls, their TV channel representatives would unnecessarily rant, distort the facts and make inflammatory comments. Their frenzied responses will not match the questions. The media outfits will be labelled “Godi Media” based on the numbers they project. It is obvious what his spokespeople will do on the day of the exit polls, given the manner in which former Congress Party President Rahul Gandhi insults even women by dubbing reputable journalists as “chamcha” and “chamchi.”

The third significant point made by Neelu Vyas Thomas is that the election can also be taken to the doors of the judiciary. Notably, there is nothing unprecedented in it. The opposition brought every issue before the Supreme Court, ranging from the repeal of Article 370 to the purchase of Rafale fighter jets. However, the apex court maintained the decision to revoke Article 370 in addition to giving the Modi administration the green light on the Rafale agreement with France.

Leaders including Arvind Kejriwal of the AAP and Hemant Soren of the JMM were imprisoned and only put into judicial custody upon the court’s directive. Afterwards, fingers are being pointed at the court regularly. Be mindful that this is not happening only now. The highest court has been the target ever since Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi delivered the Ram Mandir judgment in November 2019. The “Babri is alive” trend is a part of this campaign.

The fourth and most hazardous statement made by Neelu Vyas Thomas concerns the “Jan-Andolan” (people’s protest). What does the opposition consider a mass movement? Delhi was held captive by the women of Shaheen Bagh for three months. The ‘farmers movement’ led to a one-year occupation of Delhi’s boundaries and cost the states of North India Rs 500 crore a day, while businessmen incurred a Rs 200 crore loss as a result of Shaheen Bagh.

Muslims were instigated through the Shaheen Bagh riots by spreading false information about CAA throughout the nation. Jats and Sikhs were stirred up by the ‘farmers protest’ which was taken over by pro-Khalistan elements. The national tricolour was insulted on Republic Day when the Khalistani flag was raised on the Red Fort. More than fifty individuals were killed in the Delhi riots which were rooted in Shaheen Bagh unrest. Schools and temples were targeted.

The prosperity of a nation’s society is a prerequisite for it to become a superpower. How can any country grow into a superpower if its citizens lack financial resources? This is why the nation’s capital is frequently taken hostage in the name of movements as it kills two birds with one stone. First, they gain media attention and second businessmen endure huge losses. The government will face more challenges and the opposition will be happier as business declines.

What does the Gandhi scion interpret “Jan-Andolan” to mean? It is worth recalling that in May 2022, he voiced that the BJP had thrown fuel throughout India and one spark would be enough to burn the entire country while addressing a conclave in London. He had stated that India is not on the right path at the moment, citing divisiveness in the country and the BJP’s hold on the media. Ponder, what other reason could there have been to visit overseas and make such demeaning comments about our nation?

What plot lies ahead now? There will be anomalies on the day of counting, according to 120 groups that identify as civil organizations. They have also raised concerns about the Election Commission and the voting process. Additional meetings are scheduled by those people, who already met for six hours with the goal of undermining the Election Commission. There is currently an attempt to set off riots under the pretext of “civil society.” While all voting numbers are made public, it is falsely claimed that the Election Commission is withholding the information.

Opposition leaders are included in these organizations along with former officials. This is the same elite that formerly claimed to be “intellectuals” and people believed anything they uttered. Now, no one is listening to them. YouTubers like Dhruv Rathi who repeatedly term Prime Minister Narendra Modi a ‘dictator’ are a part of this scheme. The opposition is actively spreading negativity in order to stifle public welfare programs, infrastructure projects and India’s positive international image.

Raghuram Rajan blames Arnab Goswami for Rahul Gandhi’s stupidity, calls him intelligent and brave instead

In a recent interview, former governor of the Reserve Bank of India, Raghuram Rajan heaped praises on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. Rajan blamed Rahul Gandhi’s 2014 interview with senior journalist Arnab Goswami for his “wrong portrayal” as someone incapable of thinking and leading.

On the 28th of May, in an interview with ThePrint, Raghuram Rajan was asked about his closeness with Rahul Gandhi and whether he advises the Gandhi scion. In response to this, Rajan said, “Rahul Gandhi is often depicted because of that totally disfiguring interview with Arnab Goswami way back, as someone who doesn’t have the capabilities to think and lead. I think that’s such a wrong portrayal in the sense that you know he’s smart, intelligent, and also brave. I think what people discount which they should not, is this is a family which has seen the grandmother assassinated, the father blown up,” Rajan said.

“To engage in politics, to be in the midst of crowds.. if I had that experience I would be hiding in a bed all the time. So I think there are a lot of attributes that are commendable…” Rajan added while eulogising the Gandhi scion.

In his seemingly not-so-successful bid to project Rahul Gandhi as a misunderstood ‘genius’, Rajan called Rahul Gandhi a “reasonable” leader with “strong conviction”.

When Arnab Goswami “frankly” destroyed Rahul Gandhi’s first “launch”

Interestingly, back in 2014, Rahul Gandhi gave his first-ever televised interview to the then Times Now editor-in-chief Arnab Goswami. The interview titled: Frankly Speaking With Arnab Goswami exposed the diminutive political acumen and proved to be nothing less than a disaster for Congress’s unannounced Prime Ministerial candidate. In the interview, Rahul Gandhi gave repetitive answers like RTI, Anti-Corruption Law, MNREGA, systematic failures etc and even tried to dodge Goswami’s questions about the then-Congress vice president’s views on the BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi, why he was avoiding a head-on contest with Modi etc. One of the most iconic moments of the interview was when Goswami asked Gandhi if it was right to seek an ‘apology from Narendra Modi for the 2002 Gujarat Riots but not apologise for the 1984 Anti-Sikh Riots even as the Congress’, and Rahul Gandhi admitted involvement of some of his party leaders.

Raghuram Rajan’s admiration for Rahul Gandhi

It is interesting to note that this is not the first time that Raghuram Rajan has expressed his admiration and support for Rahul Gandhi. Back in December 2022, Rajan joined Gandhi in his controversial foot march Bharat Jodo Yatra in Rajasthan. In his admiration for Gandhi and disdain for Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Rajan has at times resorted to spreading misinformation in the garb of criticising the Modi government’s policies like the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme. Rajan back in 2016, called India a “one-eyed king in the land of the blind [Andhon mein kaana raja]” suggesting that India’s economic growth is accentuated because the global economic growth was weak.

In January last year, Raghuram Rajan described as a ‘young’, ‘curious’ and ‘smart’ man, who is in no way a “Pappu”. He said that the Congress leader has a “good sense of what the priorities are and a good sense of basic risks and being able to evaluate them…” Probably, Rajan should share his views on Rahul Gandhi’s destructive and divisive ‘priorities’ like caste ‘X-ray’ and wealth redistribution among others.
