Congress and Islamists hurl abuses at PM Modi because he repeated exactly what Congress has promised to Muslims time and again

On Sunday (April 21), Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a sharp attack on the Congress party for embracing Rahul Gandhi’s ultra-leftist agenda of ‘wealth redistribution’. PM Modi stated that his election manifesto of the Congress party reflected Maoist ideology. During an election rally in Banswara, Rajasthan, PM Modi mentioned Rahul Gandhi’s promise to survey and share the country’s riches.

Speaking about then-Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s speech in which he claimed that Muslims ought to be given the first right to the nation’s resources, PM Modi stated that if the Congress heads back to power, they will redistribute the nation’s wealth among Muslims, intruders, and those with multiple children.

The Prime Minister’s address put Congress, Islamists, Leftists, and their media allies into a frenzy. Almost as soon as PM Modi delivered the address, a flurry of misinformation began to circulate claiming that the Prime Minister branded all Muslims in India as ‘Ghuspethiyas’ or ‘intruders’. Also, several Congress leaders and Islamists slammed PM Modi for speaking the truth out.

On 22d April, former Karnataka Assembly Speaker K R Ramesh Kumar called PM Modi ‘Shani’, a planet which is often looked at as a malefic planet from the astrological lenses. “Modi is a shani which has gripped this country. We are waiting for June 4. We have prayed to God to rid the country of this Shani,” Ramesh Kumar said while campaigning in Rojarhalli village of Kolar taluk.

“It is unfortunate to see that the seat once occupied by Indira Gandhi, who boosted the self-confidence of people belonging to all castes and communities, including women, is now occupied by Modi,” he added. The video of the speech by Kumar is making rounds on social media.

The Congress party from its official platform posted several posts and videos calling PM Modi a liar. “PM Modi has a bad habit of lying. Once again, he was caught lying,” the X post by Congress read. Later, in another post, the Congress posted a caricature image of PM Modi and termed it a ‘face of lie’.

“The Prime Minister of India is a liar,” one of the posts by Congress read. Further, Congress leader Supriya Shrinate who earlier had made vulgar comments against Kangana Ranaut, BJP candidate from Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, abused PM Modi and called him shameless. She slammed PM Modi for saying that Congress will not even spare women’s wedding necklaces. “In which manifesto is it written that the party is going to do that? What are you even reading?” she blatantly asked.

The Congress in its manifesto said that everybody’s property would be surveyed and then the country’s riches would be shared. The property eventually would include traditional gold investments and ornaments owned by Indian families and women, which Shrinate probably forgot to understand.

In his speech on Sunday, PM Modi emphasised, “They have said that if they form a government then a survey of property belonging to every person will be done. It will be checked how much gold our sisters own, how much money government employees have…They also said that gold owned by our sisters would be equally distributed. Does the govt have the right to take your property? ‘Mangalsutra’ sone ki keemat ka mudda nahi hai, unke sapno se juda hua hai…”

Congress’ Rahul Gandhi also commented on the matter and didn’t hesitate to call PM Modi a liar. “After the disappointment in the first phase of voting, the level of Narendra Modi’s lies has fallen so much that out of fear, he now wants to divert the attention of the public from the issues. Trends have started coming in regarding the immense support that Congress’s ‘Revolutionary Manifesto’ is receiving. The country will now vote on its issues, vote for its employment, its family and its future. India will not go astray!” he said.

Further, notorious Supreme Court advocate Prashant Bhushan who has a history of favouring the Congress party also posted a video of PM Modi, slamming him for speaking the truth. “When the elections seem to be slipping out of hand, they have to rant about Hindu-Muslim. The Election Commission will keep sleeping in the meantime,” Bhushan said.

Meanwhile, Congress’ Mallikarjun Kharge also commented on the issue and said, “What Modi ji said is not only a hate speech but also a well-thought-out ploy to divert attention. Today the Prime Minister did what he has learnt from the values of the Sangh. Lying for power, making baseless references to things, and making false accusations about opponents are the specialties of the training of RSS and BJP. The 140 crore people of the country are no longer going to fall prey to this lie. Our manifesto is for every Indian. In the history of India, no Prime Minister has lowered the dignity of his post as much as Modiji has.”

Several Islamists who have a history of spreading hatred against the RSS and the BJP, and the Hindu community in general, also slammed PM Modi for peaking the truth about the Congress manifesto. Islamist ‘journalist’ Arfa Khanum Sherwani abused PM Modi and said that he only knew how to deliver hate speech.

Also, ‘journalist’ Ravish Kumar said, “PM’s politics is based on communal hatred. Even after ten years, he cannot give a speech without mentioning Muslims, the Muslim League, and fish.”

“This is also an insult to the majority community. It seems that the Prime Minister considers the majority community worthy of this. Their children will keep dying of unemployment and the Prime Minister will keep calling them Muslims and Muslims. Sad,” he added.

The list of Islamists who spread misinformation included self-proclaimed ‘fact-checker’ Mohammad Zubair of AltNews, who dog whistles against Hindus and spreads fake news to shield Islamists regularly.

Based on the tweet of Satish Acharya, who only makes cartoons when he has the opportunity to target PM Modi or Hindus, even Pakistani ‘journalist’ Hamid Mir claimed that PM Modi called all Indian Muslims infiltrators. He further hailed Satish Acharya for being a ‘brave journalist’.

Also, propagandist YouTuber Dhruv Rathee slammed PM Modi and said that the culmination of the first phase of the elections had sent PM Modi in shock. “All the fake propaganda from WhatsApp University has become part of his speeches now,” Rathee said.

AIMIM National President Asaduddin Owaisi also slammed PM Modi for allegedly ‘demeaning’ the Muslim community. “Modi today called Muslims infiltrators and people with many children. Since 2002 till this day, the only Modi guarantee has been to abuse Muslims and get votes. If one is talking about the country’s wealth, one should know that under Modi’s rule, the first right to India’s wealth has been of his wealthy friends. 1% of Indians own 40% of the country’s wealth. Common Hindus are made to fear Muslims while their wealth is being used to enrich others,” he said.

Addressing an election rally in Rajasthan’s Banswara, PM Modi on Sunday said, “Earlier, when they (the Congress) were in power, they had said Muslims have the first right to the wealth of the nation. This means they will distribute this wealth to those who have more children, to infiltrators. Should your hard-earned money be given to infiltrators? Do you agree to this?”

“Congress’s manifesto says they will take stock of the gold mothers and daughters have, and will distribute that wealth. Manmohan Singh’s government had said Muslims have the first right to wealth. Brothers and sisters, this Urban Naxal thinking will not spare even the mangal sutras of my mothers and sisters,” he added.

The Congress and Islamists slammed PM Modi for making such statements, the proof of which was published by the BJP hours after the PM’s speech. The BJP posted a video of a speech by former PM Manmohan Singh who in the year 2006 had said that Muslims must have the first claim on resources.

“We will have to devise innovative plans to ensure that minorities, particularly the Muslim minority, are empowered to share equitably in the fruits of development. They must have the first claim on resources,” Singh could be heard saying.

Not just former PM Manmohan Singh, but several other Congress leaders have been accused of indulging in minority appeasement as a means to cultivate a vote bank and shore up their electoral support.

PM Modi meanwhile also slammed the Congress party for appeasing illegal migrants such as Rohingyas and Bangladeshis who have illegally squatted in India for votes. The politics around the underway Lok Sabha Elections is becoming quite interesting with PM Modi exposing Congress’ evil side. The Congress already on the verge of ending is making all the efforts to defend itself and hide its evil face, but failing miserably.

The General elections in India which are underway are scheduled to be held in seven parts from April 19 to June 1, 2024, to elect 543 Lok Sabha members. The votes will be counted, and the results will be announced on June 4, 2024.

Who are you, United Nations? – Delhi High Court dismisses PIL seeking release of Arvind Kejriwal, imposes cost of Rs 75,000 on petitioner

On 22nd April, Delhi High Court dismissed PIL seeking Aam Aadmi Party supremo and Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal’s release on ‘extraordinary interim bail’. The court also imposed costs of Rs 75,000 on the petitioner while dismissing the case. The plea was submitted on behalf of the applicant by Advocate Karan Pal Singh, who happens to be the President of Naya Satta Party, a political party operating out of Delhi. Singh sough bail in all criminal charges registered by the Enforcement Directorate and the State till the completion of Kejriwal’s tenure as Chief Minister. In its order, the court pointed out that Arvind Kejriwal is in judicial custody by virtue of the court orders.

The plea was filed by a fourth-year law student under the name of “We the People of India”. The court said it was not maintainable as the courts in its writ jurisdiction cannot grant extraordinary interim bail in pending cases against a person holding high office.

Delhi High Court questioned applicant if he was member of the United Nations

The matter was heard by a bench led by Acting Chief Justice Manmohan. Notably, Advocate Rahul Mehra, appearing for Arvind Kejriwal opposed the plea submitted for Kejriwal’s release. Mehra called it “impermissible prayers” and called it “sorry state of affairs”. He also pointed out that the applicant’s father is the president of a political party and asserted he wanted to make the court a “political forum”.

Mehra informed the court that he is taking required steps in the matter which was told to the counsel of the applicant by the court. Furthermore, Rahul Mehra clearly pointed out that Kejriwal did not need any assistance from the applicant in the matter.

The court asked the applicant “Who are you to help him? How do you get a veto power? Are you a member of the United Nations?”

Counsel appearing for the applicant claimed that due to the arrest of Kejriwal, the entire government has stopped working in Delhi as CM is the head of the government. He further pointed out that there were reports that there was shortage of medicines in the hospitals that come under Delhi Government.

When pointed out that Singh is founder of a political party, the counsel claimed that his party was not participating in any elections. He added, “My only concern is that 3 crore people of Delhi in which 1.59 crore people are registered voters… what about their children, their education and medicine.”

The court dismissed the case and imposed costs of Rs 75,000. The court said, “This court is of the view that the present petition is not maintainable as R5 is in judicial custody in pursuance to the judicial orders which have not been challenged in the present petition. Further, this court in writ jurisdiction cannot grant extraordinary interim bail in a pending criminal case initiated against a person holding high office.”

The court added that “it is important to remember the principles of equality enshrined in the constitution and the basic rule of law be ever so high, the law is above you. This is imperative to retain public confidence in the constitution of India.”

The court said, “The court is in view that the petitioner’s claim of being custodian of people is devoid of any basis”, and he holds no power of attorney on behalf of Kejriwal to furnish any personal bond. Furthermore, the court pointed out that Kejriwal has the means and wherewithal to file the case which has already been done.

The Delhi High Court added that all the submissions mentioned in the plea have already been dealt with by the Delhi High Court.

Arrest of Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal

On 21st March, ED went to Arvind Kejriwal’s residence in the evening for questioning. Later, he was arrested by the investigating agency in the Delhi Excise Policy Scam. Kejriwal was presented in the court the next day where ED got his custody. AAP has claimed that Kejriwal’s arrest was politically motivated and illegal. However, his appeal in the court for interim relief was rejected.

Delhi Excise Policy Scam

In November 2021, the Delhi Government introduced a new liquor policy. In June 2022, the Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee filed a complaint against the new Delhi Excise policy. In July 2022, the Chief Secretary of Delhi flagged the anomalies in it. Delhi LG requested CBI to initiate a probe and ED joined the investigation by registering the matter under PMLA. Since then, multiple arrests have been made, including Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and his former deputy Manish Sisodia.

Jharkhand: Muslims threaten to boycott Congress and vote in favour of BJP over the lack of representation in LS polls

0

In yet another blow to the Congress party, the Muslim community in Jharkhand has decided not to vote for Congress candidate Krishna Nand Tripathi. They threatened a boycott against Congress over the lack of representation from their community.

They sought that candidates from the Muslim community contest for at least four seats in the state including the Chatra, Godda, Koderma, and Giridih, or else they would not vote for the Congress candidate.

Mahagathbandhan, commonly referred to as the Grand Alliance, is a political party coalition in India’s eastern state of Jharkhand that was created right before the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. The alliance includes parties like the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, the Indian National Congress, the Rashtriya Janata Dal, the Nationalist Congress Party, and the Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist Liberation).

The Chatra Lok Sabha constituency has five assembly seats namely Latehar, Manika, Panki, Chhatra, and Dumariya. Notably, BJP candidate Kalicharan Singh is making concerted efforts to connect to voters from all backgrounds with an enthusiastic campaign. A month ago, the BJP candidate received a grand welcome from the Muslim community days after the party announced his candidature for the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections.

The resistance from the Muslim minority, which accounts for 20% of the population in the Chatra constituency, will likely only worsen Congress candidate Tripathi’s problems. The Congress party on 16th April announced another list of three candidates in Jharkhand for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. The party fielded Deepika Pandey Singh from Godda, Krishna Nand Tripathi from Chatra, and Anupama Singh from Dhanbad.

The people from the Muslim community then raised an objection saying that though Chatra is a constituency that has more Muslim voters, the Mahagathbandhan decided to field a Hindu candidate.

On Saturday (19th April), Muslim intellectuals had a meeting to discuss the topic and expressed their decision to field their candidate or host a public gathering to decide whether to vote for the BJP.

During the meeting, the intellectuals said that the Congress Party should stop making the mistake of taking Muslims of Chatra for granted. “Now Muslims have completely awakened. Under any circumstances, the candidates of the Congress Party and Grand Alliance will not be able to take the votes of Muslims by showing fear of the BJP,” they said.

“Our population in Jharkhand is second after the tribals. We have represented Godda and Dhanbad and other Lok Sabha constituencies many times with 20% population. Despite this, the Grand Alliance did not consider a Muslim candidate for even one of the 14 seats, which is unfortunate,” they added.

The Muslim leaders also stated that, despite having a 20% Muslim population, the Grand Alliance had failed to field a Muslim contender for any of Jharkhand’s 14 seats. Tripathi is also experiencing opposition from within the RJD, with some workers protesting the high command’s choice to support him.

India will hold general elections in seven parts from April 19 to June 1, 2024, to elect 543 Lok Sabha members. The votes will be counted, and the results will be announced on June 4, 2024.

PM Modi warns against Rahul Gandhi’s wealth redistribution plans: Understanding the cleverly worded hints in Congress manifesto

On 21st April, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched an attack on the opposition, especially the Congress Party amid the ongoing Lok Sabha Elections 2024. In his address at a public meeting in Rajasthan, PM Modi pointed out Congress plans to do an economic survey to find out who owns how much wealth and asserted it will be redistributed to Muslims, particularly the infiltrators.

PM Modi warned that the Congress Party plans to take away the wealth of poor families and would not even leave the Mangalsutra of married women. Evidently, Congress, left, liberals and Islamists got rattled by PM Modi’s statement and started calling it fearmongering, divisive politics and whatnot. Notably, PM Modi pointed out that it was written in the manifesto that the Congress Party would do all these things and if one carefully reads the manifesto, his warning is backed by evidence.

First of all, it is essential to note that since former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh claimed minorities, particularly Muslims, have the first right to the resources of the country, the Congress Party has faced a lot of backlashes. Singh’s statement from 2006 comes back to haunt the grand old party more often than it can digest. Media houses like The Lallantop tried to twist what Singh said in his statement claiming his words were misinterpreted but the truth comes out much easier with access to videos and text of the statement.

Ahead of the Lok Sabha Elections 2024, Congress leader and possibly grand old party’s PM Face, Rahul Gandhi, launched a project to woo SC/ST/OBC communities. He has promised to do a caste census and socio-economic survey to understand “where the wealth” of the country is “stored”. Though the Congress manifesto does not talk directly about wealth redistribution, Gandhi has repeatedly and openly propagated the idea. On 6th April, during a rally at Hyderabad, Rahul Gandhi, stressing on the party’s “Jitni aabaadi utna haq” slogan and said, “We will first conduct a nationwide caste census to determine how many people belong to the Other Backward Classes (OBCs), Scheduled Castes (SCs), Scheduled Tribes (STs) and minorities. After that, we will conduct a financial and institutional survey in a historic step to ascertain the distribution of wealth.”

Furthermore, there are sections and sub-sections in the manifesto that hint towards the sinister plan. As we discuss the Congress manifesto, it is essential to understand that Congress has been very careful about using specific words in the document, especially Muslims. Interestingly, the word “Muslim” did not come even once in the manifesto. As a matter of fact, they did not use any words like Hindu, Christian or others. The same goes with other parties as they also avoid using direct reference to religion, most probably due to the Model Code of Conduct (MCC).

However, there are other ways to differentiate between minorities of the Hindu community and other minorities in the country. For instance, Congress used caste, SC/ST and similar words or phrases to talk about minorities in the Hindu community. However, in other sections, it used an umbrella term “minorities”. It is a fact, which was clear by Singh’s 2006 statement, that when it comes to “minorities”, Congress prefer Muslims.

Now coming to the manifesto. Under the Section Equity on page 5 of the manifesto, the first point reads, “Congress will conduct a nationwide Socio-Economic and Caste Census to enumerate the castes and sub-castes and their socio-economic conditions. Based on the data, we will strengthen the agenda for affirmative action.” This is the first, open “hint” that Congress is all set to find out who owns how much wealth.

Source: Congress Manifesto for Lok Sabha Elections 2024

Notably, Congress never mentioned how it would work. Rahul Gandhi simply said in his statement that it would be redistributed among those who do not have wealth. Interestingly, Gandhi or Congress did not explain what would be counted as wealth. Is the gold that families own would be counted? What about the family jewellery? What about the inherited property of the middle class the lower middle class or the poor families? There is always someone poorer in the society. What would Congress take away and to what extent?

Gandhi in his statement on wealth redistribution simply said “It will be redistributed”. However, he did not explain the process or anything related to it leaving a major loophole in the system they are planning to bring.

Now coming to the section “Religious And Linguistic Minorities”, sub-section 5 read, “The economic empowerment of minorities is a necessary step for India to realise its full potential. We will ensure that banks will provide institutional credit to minorities without discrimination.”

Here comes the interesting part. To understand Congress’s plan, we have to go back to Singh’s 2006 statement again. He had said, “We will have to devise innovative plans to ensure that minorities, particularly the Muslim minority, are empowered to share equitably in the fruits of development. They must have the first claim on resources.” Congress thrived on appeasement politics for decades. From the Waqf Board to the Places of Worship Act or flipping the Supreme Court’s decision in the Triple Talaq matter by Rajiv Gandhi, the grand old party left no stone unturned to make the policies Muslim-centric.

In India, when most of the opposition parties talk about minorities, they talk about Muslims. Even though Muslims are the second largest part of the population and communities like Jain, Sikh and Christians among others are the true minorities, appeasement politics thrives exponentially under Congress rule.

Congress also wants to abolish the cap of 50% in reservations. There is a strong possibility that Congress will take one step ahead and introduce Muslims under SC/ST and OBC communities to give them reservations as direct reservations to Muslims often draw criticism. In short, Muslims are the largest religious minority group. If Congress is talking about religious minorities, in most probability the benefits will go to Muslims.

Source: Congress Manifesto for Lok Sabha Elections 2024

Again, under the same section, sub-section 6, it reads, “We will ensure that the minorities receive their fair share of opportunities in education, healthcare, public employment, public works contracts, skill development, sports and cultural activities without discrimination.”

It makes Congress’s plan clearer. The fair share directly hints towards increasing reservations in different sectors. Congress has a history of taking shortcuts and if anyone believes Congress will develop infrastructure to eliminate the root cause of discrimination, they won’t. The easiest way out here is to announce reservations in the abovementioned sectors.

While merit should be prioritised in all sectors, appeasement politics never let it happen. Lok Sabha Elections 2024’s results are almost 1.5 months away. Remember, wealth redistribution is a well-tried formula that has failed miserably worldwide.

‘Muslims have first claim on India’s resources’: How Congress tried to defend the controversial speech of Manmohan Singh in 2006 and why it does not hold true

On Sunday (21st April), Prime Minister Narendra Modi hit out at the Congress party and its Muslim appeasement politics during an election campaign meeting in Banswara town of Rajasthan.

He lambasted the wealth distribution scheme of Congress scion Rahul Gandhi and reminded the voters about the infamous speech of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh from 2006.

“During the time of their government, they (Congress) had declared that Muslims have the first claim of this country’s resources. First, they will seize your properties and distribute them to Muslims, those who produce a high number of offspring, and infiltrators,” PM Modi emphasised.

“Your properties will be handed over to infiltrators. Is that acceptable to you? This is the Congres manifesto according to which the gold owned by our mothers and sisters would be estimated, seized and distributed to those promised by former PM Manmohan Singh,” he pointed out.

PM Modi added, “This is the mindset of these urban Naxals. They will not even spare your mangal sutra and can go to any extent.”

Soon after the Congress party, its loyalists in the media and its close-knit ecosystem went overboard to discredit PM Modi and give a clean chit to ex-PM Manmohan Singh.

Screengrab of the tweets by Congress party and Rahul Gandhi

Congress spokespersons also spared no time trying to undo the damage inflicted on the party’s image by PM Narendra Modi.

With more than six phases of elections remaining, the Congress ecosystem has been rattled to the core by the speech of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

But this desperation to save the party’s image is not a new phenomenon. It was in full swing even 18 years ago.

The failed attempt at defending Manmohan Singh

On 9th December 2006, the then Prime Minister Manmohan Singh stated categorically that Muslims have the first claim on India’s resources. He made the contentious remarks during a meeting of the National Development Council (NDC).

He had explicitly mentioned the Muslim community in his speech. “We will have to devise innovative plans to ensure that minorities, particularly the Muslim minority, are empowered to share equitably in the fruits of development. They must have the first claim on resources,” Manmohan Singh had said at that time.

The transcript of his speech can be verified from the video footage of the event. When the video made headlines in 2006, the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) was quick to issue a clarification alleging ‘deliberate and mischievous misinterpretation’.

“The Prime Minister’s observations have also been quoted out of context in some sections of the electronic media, fuelling a baseless controversy,” a press release by the PMO dated 10th December 2006 read.

It had tried to rationalise the speech by arguing that the remarks were directed towards all ‘weaker sections of the society’ and not the just Muslim community in particular. PMO had even referenced parts of the speech where Manmohan Singh had mentioned ‘SC/STs, other backward classes, minorities and women and children’.

In its desperate attempt to shield the then Prime Minister from criticism, PMO conveniently forgot that there were no phrases similar to ‘particularly the Muslim minority’ in the entirety of the speech.

The intention behind the remarks was crystal clear even in 2006. But when PM Manmohan Singh ended up stirring the hornet’s nest, the PMO came to his rescue. The controversy again surfaced 18 years later on Sunday (21st April) when PM Modi called out the Muslim appeasement politics of the Congress party.

And this time, the Congress-sponsored activists, journalists and spin doctors have come forward to defend the indefensible remarks of PM Manmohan Singh in 2006.

Controversial track record of Manmohan Singh

During his 10-year stint as the Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh has been unabashed in keeping forward his party’s agenda of consolidating the Muslim vote bank.

While it is true that he is remembered for his 2006 speech, the veteran Congress leader had made similar comments on at least four other occasions between 2004 and 2014 (the entirety of the UPA rule).

On 3rd July 2004, he remarked, “I am distressed by the low representation of minorities, particularly the Muslim minority, in many walks of life, both in the public and the private sector. I do not need to underline to this audience the gravity of the problem that this creates for our collective effort to create a truly inclusive and tolerant society, where the benefits of economic development are shared by all citizens.

On 2nd November 2006, Manmohan Singh highlighted the Congress party’s special preference for the Muslim community in comparison to other religious minorities.

As I see it the main factor responsible for socio-economic backwardness of the minority communities, particularly the Muslim community is the lack of access to the common school system. This is particularly true in the case of the Muslim girls. During the current plan period and the next plan period, we must ensure that concrete schemes for setting up of secondary and higher secondary schools in the Blocks and Districts having predominantly Muslim population are indeed implemented with sharper focus on the Muslim girls. Widening of access of the Muslim girls in professional education, particularly medical and engineering courses should be a priority area of educational programmes.

A month later, he said

Some minorities in India have done better than others. For example, in India, minority communities like the Jains and the Sikhs have fared relatively well from the process of social and economic development. However, other minorities, especially the Muslim community in certain parts of our country, have not had an equal share of the fruits of development. This has most recently been established by data provided in the Report of the High Level Committee on the Social, Economic and Educational Status of the Muslim Community of India, popularly known as Sachar Committee. It is incumbent upon any democratically elected government to redress such imbalances and eradicate such inequities. I assure you, our Government is indeed committed to doing this.

Just months before the 2014 election, Manmohan Singh lamented about Muslims not being able to reap the fruits of development.

On 13th January of that year, the then Prime Minister had said, “All minority communities do not form a homogenous group. Some have done reasonably well, benefitting from the processes of social and economic development. However, other minorities, especially the Muslim community in certain parts of our country, have not had an equal share of the fruits of development. This has most recently been established by the data provided in the report of the Sachar Committee which our Government had set up.

West Bengal teacher recruitment scam: Calcutta HC declares 2016 SSC recruitment null and void, orders fresh appointments

0

The Calcutta High Court on Monday declared all appointments null and void in the selection of candidates in West Bengal government-sponsored and aided secondary and higher secondary schools through a 2016 recruitment process.

The court has ordered the School Service Commission (SSC) to conduct fresh recruitments. The court further ordered that those who were recruited illegally will have to return their salary within six weeks.

All appointments by the SSC in the categories of teachers of classes 9, 10, 11 and 12 and group-C and D staffers through the State Level Selection Test-2016 (SLST) where irregularities were found have also been declared null and void.

The Calcutta HC has also instructed the administration to take action on fresh appointments in the next 15 days.

One exception in the matter has been mentioned by the court in the case of Soma Das, a cancer victim. The court ruled that Das’ job will remain safe.

Advocate Vikram Banerjee told ANI, “Particularly, the tender process was given to a blacklisted company, namely NYSA and that process is illegal. The number of illegal appointees can not be detected, in view of which the entire selection process has been cancelled. The beneficiaries of this illegal process must refund their salaries. The district collectors of all districts in West Bengal have been directed to start the recovery process within four weeks. A fresh selection process must be started. A fresh tender must be publicly advertised.”

“During the process, a super-numerical post was created by the state of West Bengal. Given the illegal appointees, the state of Bengal tried to accommodate them, but this was purely illegal. The Division Bench has directed to investigate and find out who created the super-numerical post. If necessary, the influential person will be taken into custody by CBI,” he added.

The court pronounced its judgement after hearing petitions and appeals relating to alleged irregularities in the selection of candidates in the 2016 recruitment process.

A division bench, formed by the Chief Justice of the High Court at the direction of the Supreme Court, was hearing the matter.
The hearing in the matter was concluded on March 20 and judgement was reserved by the division bench.

The West Bengal School Service Commission (SSC) teacher recruitment scam came to light after the arrest of Bengal BJP leader Partha Chatterjee, a Trinamool Congress leader who served as the education minister in Mamata Banerjee’s cabinet until his arrest on July 23, 2022.

Earlier on February 16, a team of the Enforcement Directorate conducted raids on close associates of Partha Chatterjee in Kolkata. Chatterjee was arrested after Rs 21 crore in cash and jewellery worth above Rs 1 crore was recovered from the Kolkata residence of Arpita Mukherjee, a close aide of the former education minister.

Chatterjee and his aide Arpita Mukherjee, are facing a probe into the West Bengal School Service Commission (WBSSC) recruitment scam.

Karnataka: Rafik rapes a Hindu woman in front of his wife, had blackmailed the victim and forced her to convert to Islam; 7 booked

In a shocking incident in Karnataka, a case has been registered against seven people including a husband and wife, for allegedly forcing a 28-year-old married Hindu woman to convert to Islam by threatening to reveal her intimate pictures.

The victim said that the accused identified as Rafik raped her in front of his wife and forced her to wear a burqa, he also stopped her from wearing ‘kumkum’ on her forehead.

Rafik and his wife misled the woman and he indulged in sexual relations with her. Accused Rafik then took intimate pictures of her and used them to blackmail her into converting from Hinduism to Islam.

According to the police. Rafik and his wife forced the victim to move into their Belagavi home in 2023 and demanded that she do whatever they said. The woman said that Rafik raped her last year in front of his wife, while the three were living together.

In April of this year, the accused duo allegedly told the Hindu woman not to wear ‘kumkum’. They compelled her to wear a burkha and perform namaz five times a day, according to Belagavi SP Bhimashankar Guleda.

The complainant said that caste-based slurs were used against her and that the accused told her she would have to convert to Islam since she belonged to a backward caste.

According to the woman’s complaint, Rafik asked her to divorce her spouse and threatened to release personal images of her if she did not comply. She also stated that Rafik and his wife threatened to kill her if she refused to convert to Islam.

An FIR was filed in Saundatti against seven persons based on the woman’s complaint. The accused persons have been booked under the Karnataka Protection of Right to Freedom of Religion Act, relevant sections of the IT law, the SC/ST Act, and the Indian Penal Code, including those for rape, kidnapping, wrongful confinement, and criminal intimidation.

Karnataka: Islamists attack Hindu man for offering ride to Muslim colleague, woman later accuses victim of ‘molestation’

On Thursday (18th April), a Hindu man named Umesh was brutally thrashed by a frenzied Islamist mob for offering a ride to a Muslim woman.

As per reports, the incident took place in Chitradurga city of Karnataka. Umesh works at a garment store and is a resident of Eerajjanahatti. On the fateful night, he was on his way to drop his colleague Parveen at her home.

At about 8 pm on Thursday, a group of 5 Islamists stopped the victim and verbally abused him for accompanying a Muslim woman. They then proceeded to assault him brutally. Umesh sustained severe injuries to his head and other parts of his body.

Following the attack, the victim reported the incident to the Chitradurga Town police. In the meantime, he underwent treatment at a local government hospital. Soon after, a police team led by SP Dharmendar Kumar and DSP Dinakar visited Umesh at the hospital.

When the news of the attack spread, members of the Hindu community gathered outside the hospital and demanded justice for Umesh. They also sought the immediate arrest of the perpetrators.

A day later on Friday (19th April), the victim’s colleague Parveen lodged a police complaint against him and accused him of molestation. She alleged that Umesh behaved inappropriately during the ride and tried to take her to a location different from her home.

The Muslim woman claimed that Umesh did not stop at Kanaka Circle and attempted to take her towards Chandravalli Thota. Parveen said that this forced her to raise alarm, following which her brother’s friends came to the spot and intervened (thrashed the victim).

‘Bhagwa love trap’ conspiracy theory and its aftermath

‘Bhagwa Love trap’ is a baseless theory about Hindu outfits, supposedly training Hindu youth to lure, and entrap Muslim women and turn them into non-Muslims. OpIndia has reported that an Islamic cleric by the name of Sajjad Nomani has been making such outrageous claims since 2021.

The conspiracy theory soon took the form of a social media hashtag, which Islamists used to share videos of random hijab-wearing Muslim women and their male Hindu friends/ acquaintances and partners without their consent.

The posts are often accompanied by emotional messages and seek public help in identifying the couples. Soon after, social media was rife with videos of Islamist mobs ambushing random Hindu-Muslim couples.

This would then be followed by heated arguments, physical assault on Hindu men, and even molestation of Muslim women. The victims have been targeted on roads, restaurants, eateries, and even hotels.

Based on local reports and social media videos, OpIndia has compiled several cases (herehere and here) where Hindu men and Muslim women were attacked by extremists under the pretext of the ‘Bhagwa love trap.’

OpIndia has also published an investigative report, highlighting how Islamists are using Whatsapp groups to target Hindu-Muslim couples.

Did PM Modi brand all Muslims as ‘infiltrators’? How Islamists including AltNews’ Mohammad Zubair, Pakistanis and ‘liberals’ spread fake news

On Sunday (21st April), Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a scathing attack on the Congress party for including the ultra-leftist agenda of ‘Wealth redistribution’ promised by Rahul Gandhi. PM Modi asserted that its election manifesto reflects the ideology of Maoists. While addressing an election rally in Banswara, Rajasthan, PM Modi spoke about Rahul Gandhi’s promise that the nation’s wealth would be surveyed and redistributed. Talking about the speech by then Prime Minister Manmohan Singh where he had claimed that Muslims should have the first right to the nation’s resources, PM Modi said that if Congress comes back to power, they will redistribute the nation’s wealth among Muslims, intruders and those who have multiple children.

The speech by the Prime Minister sent Congress, Islamists, Leftists and their media allies into a tizzy. Almost as soon as PM Modi delivered the speech, a flurry of lies was unleashed to claim that the Prime Minister branded all Muslims as ‘Ghuspethiyas’ or ‘intruders’ in India.

Maktoob Media, which has a history of spreading hate against Hindus and whitewashing the crimes of Islamists, published a report claiming that the speech by PM Modi was “Islamophobic” since it branded all Muslims as infiltrators and ‘those who have more children’.

On X (formerly Twitter), several Islamists lied about PM Modi calling all Muslims ‘intruders’.

The list of Islamists who spread misinformation included self-proclaimed ‘fact-checker’ Mohammad Zubair of AltNews, who dog whistles against Hindus and spreads fake news to shield Islamists regularly.

Riding on the tweet of Satish Acharya, who only makes cartoons when he has the opportunity to target PM Modi or Hindus, even Pakistani ‘journalist’ Hamid Mir claimed that PM Modi called all Indian Muslims infiltrators. He further hailed Satish Acharya for being a ‘brave journalist’.

While Islamists and so-called fact-checkers claimed that all Muslims were called infiltrators when one hears the speech by PM Modi, it becomes evident that he differentiated between Muslims and infiltrators, while saying that Congress will redistribute wealth to both these sections.

PM Modi emphasised, “They have said that if they form a government then a survey of property belonging to every person will be done. It will be checked how much gold our sisters own, how much money government employees have…They also said that gold owned by our sisters would be equally distributed. Does govt have the right to take your property? ‘Mangalsutra’ sone ki keemat ka mudda nahi hai, unke sapno se juda hua hai…”

Highlighting the same, the Prime Minister added that this means that after doing the wealth survey they will distribute it to people who have more children, to illegal migrants, and to Muslims, for whom Manmohan Singh had said they had the first right over resources.

Now, each of these elements needs to be looked at separately. When the Prime Minister spoke about ‘those with more children’, we must recall that Rahul Gandhi and Congress have been harping on ‘jitni abadi utna haq’, claiming that wealth should be redistributed according to population share. It therefore becomes obvious that those with more children would get a greater share of the redistributed wealth. That Muslims have more children compared to Hindus or any other segment of society is a fact that cannot be denied simply because the truth is deemed Islamophobic by Islamists.

Next, the PM says that Muslims would get a larger share of this ‘redistributed wealth’. Going by the statements of then Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Congress’ propensity to appease Muslims, this statement also cannot be negated. The Congress can defend itself as they deem fit, however, it is also true that so far in the speech, PM Modi has not branded all Muslims as infiltrators.

It is only after this statement and after a pause, that PM Modi mentioned infiltrators (ghuspethiyas). Which was a clear indication towards illegal migrants such as Rohingyas and Bangladeshis who have illegally squatted in India, and those who Congress appeases regularly.

These are three distinct segments mentioned by the Prime Minister in his speech, and claiming that he called all Indian Muslims as ‘infiltrators’ is a gross misrepresentation of his speech.
