Muzaffarnagar school case: Father of the boy, cousin who shot the video deny any communal angle behind the incident

On Saturday (26 August), the father of the minor boy who was seen in a viral video being slapped by other students on the instructions of their teacher, came out openly to deny that there was any communal angle behind the incident. While speaking to media personnel, the victim’s father categorically stated that there is no religious or Hindu-Muslim angle in this case as is being wrongfully portrayed by the Islamo-leftist cabal on social media to fan communal disharmony.

Narrating the whole episode, he stated that the incident took place on the 24th of August and the said video was recorded by his nephew. Highlighting the fact that though they had asked the teacher to remain firm and strict with their child, he added that the teacher shouldn’t have acted in the manner that transpired back then.

Arguing that the teacher had no right to ask other students to beat their kid, he demanded that action should be taken against the teacher for the said incident.

He said, “My son is seven years old. This incident happened on 24th August. The teacher made the students beat my child again & again. My nephew made the video and had gone to school for some work…My seven-year-old child was tortured for an hour or two. He is scared…This is not a Hindu-Muslim matter. We want the law should take its own course.”

Additionally, the cousin of the kid who recorded the video of the incident and identified himself as Nadeem son of Mohd Imtiaz also asserted the same. While elaborating on the incident, he highlighted that the accused teacher was asking other students to beat his cousin. However, he added that the teacher’s remark and the video were edited to make aggravated and communal claims regarding what transpired in front of him.

He stressed that the teacher said Muslim mothers take their kids to their relatives’ house during the examination period which negatively impact their studies. He categorically highlighted that she didn’t make any anti-Muslim remarks.

Earlier, the Muzaffarnagar Police also had ruled out any communal angle in the incident. After denying communal angle in the case, the police official added that appropriate departmental action would be taken against the accused teacher who has been identified as Tripta Tyagi, the owner of the Neha Public School.

Khatauli Circle Officer, Dr. Ravi Shankar, said, “We are trying to convince the child’s father to file a complaint; after that, we would be able to file an FIR. Further legal action is being taken.”

Following the incident, the accused teacher admitted that she made a mistake and was guilty of asking other students to slap the minor boy for making mistakes. Subsequently, she sought an apology for the same. However, she stressed that she had no malicious or communal intentions and didn’t pass off any communal remarks as are being claimed on the basis of the video, which she claimed is edited. She too added that she was merely pointing out that Muslim mothers take their kids to their relatives’ houses during exams and their preparation suffers in the way.

The whole episode explained

On Friday (August 25), a video of a student being slapped by his classmates, on the instructions of the teacher, went viral on social media. The incident took place at the Neha Public School in Khubbapur village in Muzaffarnagar district of Uttar Pradesh.

As per reports, the incident took place on Thursday (August 24) when a student got his multiplication table wrong. The class teacher, Tripta Tyagi who is a handicapped woman, instructed other kids in the class to slap him. In a video that went viral on social media, the said student could be seen in tears while other kids slapped him one by one.

It has come to light that the Neha Public School received affiliation in 2019 and conducts classes for students from classes 1-5.

Following the incident, the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) also took cognizance of the case. Priyank Kanoongo, the Chief of NCPCR said, “Taking cognizance (of Muzaffarnagar school case), instructions are being issued for action. Everyone is requested not to share the video of the child. Give information about such incidents by email. Do not become a part of the crime by revealing the identity of the children.”

Uttar Pradesh: Former BSP MP Shahid Akhlaq’s son Danish Akhlaq arrested in connection with the rape of a Delhi girl

Danish Akhlaq, son of Bahujan Samaj Party leader and former member of parliament Mohammed Shahid Akhlaq was apprehended by Meerut police for the rape of a Delhi student on the pretext of marriage. He was arrested late at night on 25 August. His cell phone was also searched, although he had deleted all the data from the device.

The Hindu female accused him on 25 August of rape under false pretence of marriage. He has additionally been charged with making obscene videos and threatening to kill her.

The police of Kotwali and Partapur reached Shahid Akhlaq’s house at around 1:30 a.m. after which the accused was taken into custody and brought to Partapur police station where he was interrogated. The victim’s statement is scheduled to be recorded by the police in court on 26 August.

They are also looking into the CCTV footage from the Chrome Hotel which is situated along the Delhi-Dehradun highway where he called the B.A. (Bachelor of Arts) third-year student and proceeded to sexually assault her after consuming alcohol. It is also reported that he could be the owner of the place and due to this her identity card was not taken there.

A representative of Shahid Akhlaq claimed that the rape case was false and issued a statement which claimed that the victim trapped the perpetrator and called it an incident of honey-trap. According to him, this scheme was hatched by a person close to the politician.

The girl reportedly filed a complaint at the SSP office in Meerut on 25 August and identified herself as a Delhi resident. She stated that a young man by the name of Danish Qureshi had messaged her earlier. They exchanged phone numbers after chatting for a while and started a conversation afterwards. She revealed that he posed as single and lured her into his trap.

He came to Delhi’s Hauz Khas area on 20 August to meet the girl and described himself as the son of former MP Shahid Akhlaq. He then called her on 22 August to meet him and gave her the address of the hotel. She disclosed that no one asked for her identity card and she was sent to a room by the manager upon reaching there.

According to the allegation, the perpetrator entered the room and started talking. He also drank alcohol during that time and raped the victim. He tried to pacify her after she began crying because of the violation and promised to marry her. He also recorded a video of her taking a bath there. She grew suspicious, checked his cell phone and deleted the clip.

She also learned of his marriage and found out that he was in touch with multiple Hindu girls through his chats. They were being similarly deceived by him.

Notably, Danish Akhlaq had pointed a pistol at a person in a restaurant. When the matter reached the Meerut police, the police claimed that the weapon was made of wood. He has opened gunfire publicly several times in the Kotwali area, however, managed to get away in all the cases till now.

His father is a meat trader and has been a member of parliament in the year 2004 on a Bahujan Samaj Party ticket. A case was registered against him in 2009 along with 24 others regarding a slaughterhouse.

Courier delivery man honey trapped by Pakistani agent pretending to be ‘Aarushi Sharma’ and leaks defence information, arrested

Every day, Pakistan uses different strategies to obtain intelligence from India. A 36-year-old man named Bhaktabanshi Jha from Bihar has turned out to be the recent victim of our hostile neighbour’s trickery. He was honey-trapped and transferred critical information to Pakistan following which he was arrested, according to the inputs shared by military intelligence on 25 August.

The accused provided the Pakistani intelligence agency with sensitive military secrets and was apprehended by the Kolkata Special Task Force (STF). He met a Pakistani Intelligence Operative (PIO) on Facebook in the month of October of last year while he was employed as a courier delivery person for an international courier firm in Delhi.

The operative befriended him through a fake Facebook profile named ‘Aarushi Sharma’. The operative communicated with him and the two became friends after which they started talking on the instant messaging application WhatsApp.

She operated her WhatsApp account through an Indian mobile number. They then began having dirty talks on audio and video calls after this. The duo had a similar conversation even a few hours before the Bhaktabanshi Jha was caught.

The Pakistani operative told him that her sister was a defence journalist who worked in a news organisation and wanted the information for her. She asked him to install an application called Net Camera which tagged pictures clicked through it with their respective locations. He snapped multiple photographs of military bases in Delhi in the month of March using the application at her behest as well as shared them with her.

Authorities involved in the investigation believe that he also communicated multiple times with a male official of the Pakistani intelligence service who introduced himself as her father.

Investigations revealed that ‘Aarushi Sharma’ and her fictitious father had requested him to arrange a pre-activated SIM card to run WhatsApp from an Indian number. Bhaktabanshi Jha also provided this facility to them after he was transferred to Kolkata in West Bengal by the courier company.

He was reportedly summoned to the STF office of the Kolkata Police on 25 August for interrogation. His cell phone was seized and secret information in the form of photographs, videographs, online chats etc. were recovered from the device.

He was captured under the Indian Official Secret Information Act and other sections of the IPC and is set to be produced in a local court on 26 August. Kolkata STF and other agencies are further probing the matter to determine all facets of his cooperation with Pakistan’s agency and assess the damage caused by his anti-national activities.

The offender’s arrest is considered to have dealt a blow to Pakistan’s intelligence service and is anticipated to stop future leaks of crucial material impacting national security. Later, it was discovered that he had identified himself as an analyst in an Indian media institute in his Facebook profile.

Jawahar Lal Nehru greater than Lord Shiva? Congress’ Rashid Alvi justifies ‘Jawahar point’ on moon while criticising ‘Shiv Shakti’ point

On Saturday (August 26), Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that the touchdown point of the Chandrayaan-3 moon lander will be renamed ‘Shiv Shakti’ and that of the Chandrayaan-2 moon lander will be renamed ‘Tiranga.’ As soon as the Indian Prime Minister made the aforementioned declaration, the Congress party, guided by their peculiar habit of finding flaws in every effort the BJP undertakes, quickly chimed in to criticize this endeavour as well.

The grand old party’s senior leader Rashid Alvi, who had asked for evidence of the surgical strike conducted by Indian armed forces against Pakistan and tried to cast aspersions on the Ayodhya verdict and the integrity of the apex court, went on to criticise PM Modi’s decision to name Chandrayaan 3 landing point as ‘Shiv Shakti’ point.

Alvi, for reasons best known to him, found the decision to rename the landing point on Chandryaan-3 ‘laughable’. Speaking to India Today journalist, a snippet of which is going viral on X, formally Twitter, the Congress senior leader said, “It is laughable. Who has given the right to PM Modiji to do the naamikaran of the surface of the moon? The entire world will laugh. We are not the owners of the moon,” Rashid Alvi is heard complaining, adding that the BJP party has a habit of exhibiting ownership ever since they assumed power.

Alvi’s verbal concussion did not end there. The India Today journalist questioned the Congress leader on his hypocritical stance on this issue reminding how his party, when in power, named the landing point of Chandrayaan 1 the ‘Jawahar point’, after their then supremo Jawahar Lal Nehru. Alvi immediately went on to eulogize Nehru calling him incomparable. Rashid Alvi asserted, in reference to Modi’s selection of the name “Shiv Shakti,” which is named after one of the most revered Hindu deities, that Nehru’s name could not be compared to “any other” name.

“You can’t compare Jawahar Lal Nehru. Whatever ISRO is it is only because of Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru,” Alvi argued in defence of Congress’ longstanding practice of serving as the poster child for dynasty politics and nepotism.

Well, what the Congress leader should do besides idol worshipping the Nehru-Gandhi dynasty is perhaps undertake some research to ensure that he has the facts straight. Had he done that, he would be aware that PM Modi’s decision to rename Chandrayaan 3 and 2’s landing sites is not uncommon. Not just India but also the other three nations—the United States, China, and Russia—that have made successful moon landings in the past have upheld this tradition.

As mentioned above, the landing site of Chandrayaan 1 was renamed after Congress leader and India’s first prime minister Jawahar Lal Nehru.

Notably, the Moon Impactor probe of Chandrayaan-1 touched down on the moon’s surface on November 14, 2008. The MIP crashed the moon’s surface close to its south pole. The point where it did the hard landing was named ‘Jawahar Sthal’ or Jawahar Point.

Likewise, the landing site for China’s complex Chang’e 5 moon sample and return mission launched in November 2020, was named ‘Statio Tianchuan’ and the landing site of China’s Chang’e-4 lunar probe was named ‘Statio Tianhe.’ Tianhe is the Chinese word for Milky Way and Statio is Latin for base.

Similarly, the site on the moon where the Apollo 11 crew members of the United States landed and walked in the year 1969 was named “Statio Tranquilitatis” (Tranquillity Base). The USA, in fact, undertook several lunar missions in the past years and gave different names to the sites each time their spacecraft landed on the surface of the moon.

In the same way, Russia called the landing site of its Lune 2 mission, the sixth spacecraft in the Luna program that was sent to the Moon was dubbed Sinus Lunicus. Its 1966 Lune 9 mission’s touchdown site was given the name Planitia Descensus. The Soviet Luna program’s Luna 16 unmanned space mission’s landing site in 1970 was known as Sinus Successus.

10 people dead, several others injured in fire on a private train coach in Madurai, authorities blame smuggled illegal cylinder

At least ten people lost their lives and more than 20 received injuries after a fire broke out in a tourist train coach parked on Bodi Lane near Madurai railway station in the early hours of 26 August. It carried individuals from the state of Uttar Pradesh. The dead were charred to death when an LPG cylinder exploded inside their private train coach. The fire which started at around 5 a.m. was put out by 7:15 a.m.

Southern Railway release informed, “10 persons reported dead.” The deceased persons were removed from the compartment by police, fire and rescue team members in addition to railway employees who assisted in dousing out the fire.

The rescue operation commenced and bodies were shifted to the Government Rajaji Hospital in Madurai. The fire was sparked by an “illegally smuggled” cylinder, according to railway officials. The coach that was connected to the Punalur-Madurai Express Train No. 16730 at Nagercoil Junction on 25 August reached Madurai at 3.47 a.m. The coach was detached from the train after reaching Madurai and parked separately.

Police claimed that the fire erupted when a passenger lit a gas stove to make coffee. The officials stated, “This is a private party coach that was attached at Nagercoil Junction yesterday by train no. 16730, Punalur-Madurai Express. The party coach was detached and kept at the Madurai Stabling Line.”

They added, “The passengers in the private party coach have smuggled gas cylinder and this has caused the fire. Many passengers got out of the coach when they noticed the fire. Some passengers had got down at the platform itself.”

The press release read, “While the coach was stabled/parked, some members of the party in the private party coach were using the illegally smuggled cooking gas cylinder unauthorisedly for preparing tea/snacks, which caused the fire in the stabled/parked coach.”

Madurai District Collector MS Sangeetha remarked, “Around 5:30 am today, there was a fire in a coach halted here at Madurai railway station. There were pilgrims travelling from Uttar Pradesh in it. When they lit the gas stove to make coffee, the gas cylinder blasted. As of now, we have retrieved nine bodies.”

Indian Railways has announced an ex gratia of Rs 10 lakhs each to the families of the individuals who died in the tragedy. While the General Manager of Southern Railway and other senior officials rushed from Chennai to Madurai, the Divisional Railway Manager (Madurai) and Additional Divisional Railway Manager (ADRM) already reached the location.

The private party coach left Lucknow on August 17 and was due to arrive back in Chennai on 27 August via the Kollam-Chennai Egmore Ananthapuri Express before continuing on to Lucknow. The Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) platform can be used by anyone to reserve a party coach, however, they are not permitted to transport any combustible items like petrol cylinders, per the officials.

Southern Railway released two helplines, 9360552608 and 8015681915 for information and queries about the incident and casualties.

A cylinder and a bag of potatoes were among the strewn goods that were on the accident site, indicating attempts to make food.

As the landing point of Chandrayaan-3 gets named the ‘Shiv Shakti Point’, read how the moon became an ornament of Lord Shiva

On Saturday 26th August 2023, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that the touchdown point of the Chandrayaan-3 moon lander will be renamed as ‘Shiv Shakti Point’. He made the announcement at the ISRO Telemetry Tracking & Command Network Mission Control Complex in Bengaluru. At the same time, the crash landing site of Chandryaan-2’s moon lander has been renamed as ‘Tiranga Point.’

After a 40-day journey into space, the Chandrayaan-3 lander, ‘Vikram’, touched down on the lunar South Pole on Wednesday, 23rd August 2023 evening, making India the first country to achieve this feat.

India also became only the fourth nation after the US, Russia and China to successfully conduct a lunar landing mission. After the landing of the Vikram lander, the Pragyan rover rolled out of it, which will visit the surrounding areas to study.

Moon has a very important place in the Hindu Dharma. The crescent moon seen on Lord Shiva’s head is often seen as an ornament worn by the supreme Hindu deity Shiva. As the Chandrayaan-3’s landing point gets renamed as the ‘Shiv Shakti Point’, it becomes essential to know about the Dharmik significance of the moon and the association of the moon god (Chandra) with Lord Shiva.

According to Hindu Dharamik scriptures, the crescent moon – Chandra gracing Lord Shiva’s head enhances His profound spiritual presence. Each possession belonging to Lord Shiva holds deep significance. Numerous legends within Vedic literature delve into the artefacts held by the trio Brahma-Vishnu-Shiva and other deities.

The twenty-seven constellations meaning Nakshatras are Prajapati Daksha’s daughters. These 27 daughters were married to Chandra. However, Chandra bestowed his affection and focus solely upon Rohini, disregarding the rest 26. Upon learning of this unfavourable treatment towards his daughters, Daksha cursed Chandra that his luminance would diminish and gradually wane.

Filled with fear over the curse, Chandra promptly sought counsel from Lord Brahma, who directed him to approach Lord Shiva. After listening to Chandra’s plea, Lord Shiva told him that the curse could not be nullified as Daksha being a Prajapati had all the right to direct the fate of his subjects including Chandra.

On the other hand, the absence of the moon disrupted the equilibrium of nature, as countless lives relied on its gentle, moonlit presence. In such a situation, Lord Shiva had to find some way out so that lives are saved and Daksha’s curse also remains intact. Therefore, bestowing his blessings upon Chandra, Shiva proclaimed: “Throughout Krishnapaksha, your light shall wane, and during Shuklapaksha, your glow shall wax, ensuring contentment for all.”

Subsequently, Shiva personally adorned the Crescent Moon, embodying the Moon’s essence, upon His head to enhance the moon’s splendour for a fortnight. This act initiated the cycle of waxing and waning of the Moon. Lord Shiva transcends the constraints of time, as exemplified by His regulation of the Moon’s waxing and waning; a manifestation of Lord Shiva’s time-controlling power.

According to Hindu scriptures, it is from this incident that Chandra is seen waning during the Krishna paksha which is from the full moon to the new moon and increasing during the Shukla paksha which is from the new moon to the full moon. This motion of the moon forms the basis of the Hindu calendars. Shukla means bright. Krishna means dark. Paksha means fortnight.

The Moon God holds dominion over the realm of the mind. Lord Shiva, who governs even the Lunar deity, is the source of all meditative energies bestowed upon individuals. This influence originates from Shiva’s own meditation and detachment from the material realm. However, this disposition does not indicate indifference; he readily bestows blessings upon those who endeavour to cultivate and govern their minds.

Such has been the significance of the moon in relation to Lord Shiva. By naming the landing point of the Chandrayaan-3’s Vikram lander the ‘Shiv Shakti Point’, the government of India has revered the civilisational notions of India in the right spirit.

Muzaffarnagar school case: Police say no communal angle in the incident, NCPCR seeks action

The class teacher, who is a handicapped woman, instructed other kids in the class to slap him. She was identified as Tripta Tyagi, the owner of the Neha Public School.

In a video that went viral on social media, the said student could be seen in tears while other kids slap him one by one. Tyagi was also heard saying, “Kya tum maar rahe ho? Zor se maaro na (Why are you hitting him lightly? Hit him hard).” She had also made a reference to ‘Mohammedan students.’

The area falls under the jurisdiction of Mansurpur police station. While speaking about the incident, SP (Muzaffarnagar) Satyanarayan Prajapat, informed, “In the video, the teacher said that the Mohammedan children, who are not looked after by their mothers, go astray. This was also confirmed by the man who shot the video.”

After ruling out the communal angle in the case, the police official added that appropriate departmental action will be taken against the accused teacher. Khatauli Circle Officer, Dr Ravi Shankar, said, “We are trying to convince the child’s father to file a complaint; after that we would be able to file an FIR. Further legal action is being taken.”

The child’s father told The Indian Express that he would not send his child to the school on receipt of the refund of the fees. “A settlement has been reached that no complaint would be filed,” he was heard saying.

Priyank Kanoongo, the Chief of the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR), said, “In Uttar Pradesh’s Muzaffarnagar, the incident of a teacher getting a child beaten up by other children in the class has been reported.”

“Taking cognisance, instructions are being issued for action. Everyone is requested not to share the video of the child. Give information about such incidents by email. Do not become a part of the crime by revealing the identity of the children,” he emphasised.

It has come to light that the Neha Public School received affiliation in 2019 and conducts classes for students from Std 1-5.

Attack on Indian High Commission in London a disgrace: UK Trade Secretary Kemi Badenoch

0

On Friday, August 25, the Business and Trade Secretary of the United Kingdom, Kemi Badenoch, condemned the attack on the Indian High Commission in London in March. Badenoch called the attack by the Khalistani terrorists a “disgrace” adding that the British government is committed to ensuring that people feel safe there. She said this in response to Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal’s comment that, despite the UK’s large Indian population, the Indian High Commission felt unsafe.

While speaking at the meeting of G20 trade and investment ministers in Jaipur, Rajasthan, Kemi Badenoch said, “In any country no matter how much of a global superpower there will always be problems and in the UK one of the most interesting things, and I say this as one of the immigrants to the country, is that quite a lot of the times people don’t integrate the way we want them to and they bring problems and the same negative attitudes and the same issues from wherever they come from and bring it to the UK.”

It is pertinent to recall that on 19th March 2023, pro-Khalistani elements had barged into the Indian High Commission in London and they had removed the tricolour from the premises. Amidst chants of ‘Khalistan Zindabad’, a man was seen scaling the walls of the building and pulling down the Indian flag. He then waved the Khalistani flag jubilantly while Indian officials at the building seized the tricolour from the man.

With regard to the talks pertaining to a free trade agreement between India and the UK, Minister Goyal said on Friday that the negotiations are in progress and the talks will conclude as soon as possible. UK trade secretary Badenoch on Thursday said that  India and the United Kingdom are actively discussing commercial mobility under the proposed free trade agreement (FTA), with negotiations nearing conclusion.
