Russia launches Moon landing mission Luna-25 after 47 years, ISRO congratulates Roscosmos

Russia on Friday launched Luna 25, the country’s first lunar mission in 47 years. Luna-25  took off from the Vostochny launch facility in Russia’s Far East, Russia-based TASS news agency reported.

Launched aboard a Soyuz-2 Fregat rocket, Luna 25 took flight at 8:10 am (local time) on Friday. The Fregat booster separated from the rocket’s third stage approximately 564 seconds after the launch, according to TASS reported. The Luna-25 spacecraft will separate from the booster about an hour after the launch. The flight to the moon will take up to 5.5 days, as reported by news agency ANI.

ANI reported that the spacecraft will spend between three and seven days about 100 kilometers above the lunar surface before reaching the Boguslawsky crater area. Meanwhile, Manzinus and Pentland-A craters have been named as alternative landing sites.

The primary goal of the mission will be to polish the soft landing technology. The mission might become the first spacecraft ever to reach near the South Pole of the Earth’s natural satellite, according to TASS.

The spacecraft will look for natural resources, including water, and analyse the effects of space rays and electromagnetic emissions on the lunar surface. Luna 25, also called the Luna-Glob-Lander, will study the composition of the moon’s polar soil and the plasma and dust contained in the very thin lunar exosphere, or the moon’s scant atmosphere, for one year, the ANI report added.

The lander has several cameras and they will make timelapse footage of the landing and an HDR wide-angle image of the moonscape. Luna-25 will turn its cameras during pre-programmed periods and after a signal from the Earth, TASS reported.

USA’s National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) provided some additional details about the Luna-25 mission. Their statement read, “The lander has a four-legged base containing the landing rockets and propellant tanks, an upper compartment holds the solar panels, communication equipment, on-board computers, and most of the science apparatus.”

According to NASA, the lander has a 1.6 meter-long Lunar Robotic Arm (LRA, or Lunar Manipulator Complex) to remove and gather the surface regolith to depths of 20 to 30 cm. The LRA is equipped with a scoop (175 cubic cm volume) and a sample acquisition tool, a 4.7 cm long tube with an internal diameter of 1.25 cm.

The Moon landing mission is a significant development as the Western world tries to alienate Russia more and more. It is being perceived as a power statement by Putin, to show the world that despite being tangled in a difficult war, Russia still has enough steam to carry out complex space missions and maintain a healthy economy.

Indian space organization ISRO, whose Chandrayaan 3 mission is also on the way to the Moon, has congratulated Roscosmos, the Russian space agency.

“Congratulations, Roscosmos on the successful launch of Luna-25. Wonderful to have another meeting point in our space journies. Wishes for Luna-25 and Chandrayaan-3 missions to achieve their goals”, ISRO wrote.

Luna-25 might reach the Moon before Chandrayaan-3, or around the same time. Chandrayaan-3, though currently in the lunar orbit, has the scheduled date of Moon landing on August 23. Luna-25 is expected to take only 5.5 days to reach the 100 Km distance from the Moon, there it will spend 3-7 days before landing at the lunar South Pole.

Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury internationalises Manipur issue in Parliament a day after Kapil Sibal wanted a referendum in Kashmir

Leader of Opposition Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury on Thursday (10th August) while addressing the Parliament blatantly invited foreign intervention in India’s internal affairs. While talking on the no-confidence motion, the Congress MP said that Manipur became the “civil war-like” talking point worldwide.

He said, “When you (PM Modi) visited Europe, in France where you were conferred with an award, we were also happy about it. At that time, Manipur was being discussed in the European Parliament, it was being discussed in America too.”

Chowdhury said that the Congress had then tried to explain time and again that the “Manipur issue cannot be confined to any state or any nation, it has already assumed a global dimension that is why Prime Minister’s intervention is indispensible, is called for. That was our argument. There is no harm.”

Notably, Rahul Gandhi and the Congress received widespread positive coverage in the foreign media during the sensitive time. The BJP has hit out at the LoP asking why is Congress against India.

Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury’s controversial statement comes a day after Kapil Sibal while arguing against abrogation of Article 370 called for a Brexit-like referendum in Kashmir.

“Ultimately this was political decision taken in the context of the situation then prevailing, right. And the complete abrogation of Article 370 must also be a political decision. Your Lordships will remember in Brexit what happened, there was no constitutional provision seeking a referendum. But when you want to severe a relationship which has been entered in, you must ultimately seek the opinion of the people. Because people are central to this decision,” said Sibal whose argument was shot down by the Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud.

Military rulers of Niger threaten to kill deposed president Mohammad Bazoum if foreign countries try to intervene to restore the govt

Days after the military in Niger successfully staged a coup and removed President Mohammad Bazoum, they have now threatened to kill Bazoum if other countries try to interfere in the matter. According to a report by AP, the ruling Junta told the U.S. Under Secretary of State Victoria Nuland that deposed President Mohamed Bazoum will be killed if regional countries attempted any military intervention to restore his rule. The president is currently being detained by the junta.

Representatives of the junta told this to Victoria Nuland during her visit to the country this week. AP reported that a Western military official confirmed this on the condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the situation. A US official also confirmed the development, also speaking on condition of anonymity.

On July 26, the military of Niger, led by General Abdourahamane Tchiani, who was the former chief of the Presidential Guard, seized power in the Sahel nation by removing President Mohammad Bazoum. Bazoum has been in detention since.

A diplomatic mission led by US Deputy Secretary of State Victoria Nuland had travelled to Niger’s capital Nimaye. However, they could only meet the new military chief of staff Brigadier General Moussa Salaou Barmou, not the new leader General Abdourahamane Tchiani or deposed President Bazoum.

The US mission sought to find a ‘diplomatic solution’ to ‘restore democracy’ in their country after the July 26 coup. However, the military rulers flatly refused the proposals. When Nuland threatened to cut all kinds of support to Niger if the military leaders do not stand down, the Junta said that they don’t need American money.

“Use your money to fund a weight loss program for Victoria Nuland,” they reportedly said.

Nuland stated that the military leaders of Niger were ‘unresponsive’ to her proposals and suggestions on how they want to proceed to ‘restore democracy’ in the country. The discussion with the military leaders was “extremely frank and at times quite difficult”, Nuland told the media at Nimaye.

In the meanwhile, West African heads of state have started deliberations after the Junta defied their deadline to reinstate the deposed president. However, the alliance known as the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) have limited options to force Niger’s ruling military to accept their demands, as the possibility of a military intervention is highly remote.

“It is crucial that we prioritize diplomatic negotiations and dialogue as the bedrock of our approach,” Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who currently chairs the bloc, said before a closed-door meeting of the ECOWAS members.

On Wednesday, a Nigerian delegation met the junta’s leader, Gen. Abdourahmane Tchiani. However, the military leader refused to meet U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Victoria Nuland. A delegation comprised of ECOWAS, the United Nations and the African Union was also barred from entering the country.

They did tukde-tukde of Vande Mataram: As PM Modi launches a stinging attack on Congress, learn about the brief history of the national song

0

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the monsoon session of the parliament in Lok Sabha on 10 August. He replied to the opposition’s no-confidence motion and spoke on a number of issues including the national song Vande Mataram and slammed the Congress party in a scathing attack. “Who are these people,” he asked and charged, “The same ones who parted Mother India into three pieces. The same ones who cut two arms of the nation when they were supposed to eliminate its shackles. They are the same people who chopped not only Mother India but also Vande Mataram song because of appeasement politics.”

The Bharatiya Janata Party stalwart was alluding to the year 1937 when Congress decided to appease the Muslims by dropping the final three stanzas of the national song and labelled them “communal.”

It is notable that the original Vande Mataram poem by Bankim Chandra Chatterjee has six stanzas, but only the first two stanzas were adopted as the national song. Therefore PM Modi said that Congress had chopped the Vande Mataram song.

A brief history of Vande Mataram

Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay assiduously composed a song in 1870 that would go on to achieve a glorified national status yet be explosive in its entirety. The Bengali song Vande Mataram, which is knitted through the Anandamath novel was published in 1882. However, it would shortly come to be associated with the fight for India’s independence, playing a crucial role in the development of Indian politics.

India was still a part of the British empire when Anandamath was initially written in the 19th century. There was widespread intellectual, religious, and cultural deprivation at the time. Anandamath was created as a potent literary tool to arouse nationalistic impulses among the nation by renowned literary figure Chattopadhyay during this time, however, with a stipulation.

Anandamath was founded during the Bengal agrarian crisis, when the region was struck by three successive famines, in the early 1770s against the backdrop of the Fakir-Sannyasi Rebellion. However, interestingly, the novel blamed the agonising conditions on the ruler Nawab Mir Qasim and charged that the state’s downfall was caused by his tacit consent to The East India Company.

“The East India Company was then calling the shots from behind the facade of a puppet Muslim Nawab. It was rack-renting peasant surplus to augment revenues from which the Company extracted a massive tribute. The drive was so relentless that three successive droughts produced a famine of catastrophic proportions in 1770. Much of the land returned to waste and approximately one-third of the population starved to death,” noted historian Tanika Sarkar in “Birth of a Goddess: Vande Mataram, Anandamath and Hindu Nationhood.”

The account, according to her held “the Nawab responsible not just for widespread death and starvation, but also for a deliberate and total destruction of Hindus, of their honour, faith, caste and women. In other words, it forces a split between the agents and victims of the famine: the agents are Muslims and the starving and dying people are always identified as Hindus.”

Both the novel and Vande Mataram have been read from a variety of perspectives ever since they first appeared on the shelves. History demonstrated that the latter has drawn a lot of criticism from the Muslim community because many have claimed that the song has anti-Muslim overtones.

The fictitious characters in the book believed that the famine was a punishment meted out by Muslims to Hindus per Tanika Sarkar. Her translation read, “Our faith is ruined. Our caste and honour are gone, now even our lives are in danger unless we drive out these drunken Muslim wretches. How can we save the religion of Hindus,”

It further continued, “We do not want power for ourselves. We want to exterminate all the Muslims on this land as they are enemies of God. Many had resented the end of Hindu power and Hindus had been eager for the restoration of their faith.”

Vande Mataram is presented in the novel within this literary and ideological framework. Rabindranath Tagore performed the song for the first time in front of an audience in 1896 during a meeting of the Indian National Congress.

It later evolved into a battle cry during the 1905 partition of Bengal and quickly advanced to become a strongly evocative representation of the freedom movement. However, at this point, it seemed as though there was real tension between Muslims and Hindus. Muslim leaders started expressing their worries.

All India Muslim League President Syed Ali Imam declared, “I cannot say what you think, but when I find the most advanced province of India put forward the sectarian cry of ‘Bande Mataram’ as the national cry, and the sectarian Rakhi-Bandhan as a national observance, my heart is filled with despair and disappointment; and the suspicion that, under the cloak of nationalism, Hindu nationalism is preached in India becomes a conviction,” while speaking at the organisation’s second session in December 1908.

Muhammed Ali Jinnah, the founder of Pakistan reiterated his reservations years later. He expressed his disapproval of the song and penned, “Muslims all over (India) have refused to accept Vande Mataram or any expurgated edition of the anti-Muslim song as a binding national anthem,” in The New Times of Lahore, dated 1 March 1938.

The potential of the song to infuriate the Muslim population was recognised by others besides him. India’s first prime minister Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru was also aware of the same. He had personally written to Rabindra Nath Tagore the previous year, in 1937 and voiced identical concerns that the song, despite its patriotic intentions, had religious biases towards the Hindu majority.

Tanika Sarkar recorded, “Nehru asked Tagore if the translation was accurate. It does seem that the background is likely to irritate the Muslims.” However, the latter pointed out that the first two of the five stanzas did not have any religious overtones. The following is its English translation by Sri Aurobindo Ghosh.

Mother, I praise thee!

Rich with thy hurrying streams,
bright with orchard gleams,
Cool with thy winds of delight,
Dark fields waving Mother of might,
Mother free.

Glory of moonlight dreams,
Over thy branches and lordly streams,
Clad in thy blossoming trees,
Mother, giver of ease
Laughing low and sweet!
Mother I kiss thy feet,
Speaker sweet and low!
Mother, to thee I praise thee.

Who hath said thou art weak in thy lands
When the swords flash out in seventy million hands
And seventy million voices roar
Thy dreadful name from shore to shore?
With many strengths who art mighty and stored,
To thee I call Mother and Lord!
Thou who savest, arise and save!
To her I cry who ever her foeman drove
Back from plain and Sea
And shook herself free.

Thou art wisdom, thou art law,
Thou art heart, our soul, our breath
Thou art love divine, the awe
In our hearts that conquers death.
Thine the strength that nerves the arm,
Thine the beauty, thine the charm.
Every image made divine
In our temples is but thine.

Thou art Durga, Lady and Queen,
With her hands that strike and her swords of sheen,
Thou art Lakshmi lotus-throned,
And the Muse a hundred-toned,
Pure and perfect without peer,
Mother lend thine ear,
Rich with thy hurrying streams,
Bright with thy orchard gleems,
Dark of hue O candid-fair

In thy soul, with bejewelled hair
And thy glorious smile divine,
Loveliest of all earthly lands,
Showering wealth from well-stored hands!
Mother, mother mine!
Mother sweet, I praise thee,
Mother great and free!

Hindu goddesses are often mentioned in the third and fourth stanzas. “Thou art Durga, Lady and Queen, with her hands that strike and her swords of sheen.” While a cursory reading of the song would not seem objectionable, it compares Goddess Durga to the nation.

Rendering such a gesture of respect to a country via a mention to a Hindu deity was considered to be troublesome for the Muslim community which practises the monotheistic faith of Islam and does not worship Hindu goddesses.

A.G. Noorani, a historian, examined this enigma in his essay Vande Mataram: A Historical Lesson. “The context only makes it worse. ‘The land of Bengal, and by extension all of India, became identified with the female aspect of Hindu deity, and the result was a concept of divine Motherland.’ How secular is such a song,” he questioned.

The first two stanzas, which portray the homeland in all its beauty and as a generous nurturer, appear to have been developed in its original form around 1872. The remaining three stanzas were later modifications that were incorporated when the book was released and allegedly take on darker and more aggressive overtones where the goddess is described as grasping weapons of war.

As a result, in 1937, the Indian National Congress decided to omit the last three stanzas and explained that only the first two, non-controversial stanzas would be sung during its sessions while catering to the desires of the Muslim community and wanting the tremendously inspirational Vande Mataram to be a part of its tradition.

It’s interesting to highlight that Mahatma Gandhi praised the ardent patriotism demonstrated in Vande Mataram in 1915. However, he discovered its penchant for causing turmoil in society due to the aversion of the Muslim community. “No matter what its source was, and how and when it was composed, had become a most powerful battle cry among Hindus and Musalmans of Bengal during the Partition days. It was an anti-imperialist cry,” he observed in Harijan in July 1939.

He added, “As a lad, when I knew nothing of ‘Anand Math’ or even Bankim, its immortal author, ‘Vande Mataram’ had gripped me, and when I first heard it sung it had enthralled me. I associated the purest national spirit with it. It never occurred to me that it was a Hindu song or meant only for Hindus. Unfortunately, now we have fallen on evil days.”

Vande Mataram was a strong contender to become the nation’s anthem in 1951, but the constituent assembly chose Rabindra Nath Tagore’s Jana Gana Mana instead following Partition. Nevertheless, despite losing its status as the nation’s official anthem, Vande Mataram continued to be revered as a national song.

As the no-confidence motion is defeated in Lok Sabha, read everything PM Narendra Modi said in his reply to the motion

On 10th August 2023, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the Lok Sabha during the ongoing monsoon session of the parliament. Narendra Modi was answering the no-confidence motion moved by the opposition.

The main portions of the speech by Prime Minister Narendra Modi are as follows:

So many senior members have put their thoughts in the last three days here. Most of them reached out to me in ample detail. I have also listened to a few of them. I thank the crores of people in the country who have repeatedly expressed their confidence in us. The almighty is very kind. He makes out a way to fulfil his plans. I consider it a blessing of God that He suggested the opposition to bring a no-confidence motion. Just the same was the case in 2018 when a no-confidence motion was against us. I had said at that time that this is not our floor test. It was actually the floor test of the opposition who could not even secure the actual number they had at that time. After that in the general elections, the people of India showed no confidence in them. BJP’s seat tally increased and so did that of the NDA. Therefore a no-confidence motion is a blessing for BJP and NDA. I am sure that NDA and BJP will come back to power breaking all the records again in 2024.

The opposition should have seriously participated in this monsoon session right from the beginning because so many important bills were discussed and passed here. Data is a new oil. Digital Data Protection Bill was so important. But their priority was politics. They care for their politics but not for the youth of the country and poor farmers of the country. They made the housework on the terms of their allies. And what kind of discussions you held on this no-confidence motion too? Your court attendants in the media are also not happy. You set the fielding and we were hitting fours and sixes on your no balls one after the other. Why does not the opposition prepare well? I even gave you a time of five years, still, you did not prepare well. This is your present condition.

The opposition has a habit of being flexed everywhere. But they should remember that the people are also watching you. I would like to tell them that those who don’t have their own accounts in place are expecting accountability from us. The discussions in this no-confidence motion are like never before. The leader of the biggest party in the opposition was not given a chance to speak. In 1999, Atal Ji’s government faced a no-confidence motion. Sharad Pawar led the debate as a leader of the opposition. So did Sonia Gandhi in 2003 and Mallikarjun Kharge in 2018. Adhir Ranjan Choudhury on the other hand was not given a chance this time. Congress knows how to spoil the good things like making dung out of jaggery. I don’t know why he was sidelined. Was there any call from Kolkata? Congress insults him again and again. In the name of elections, Congress removes him as a floor leader temporarily. We have full sympathy towards Adhir Babu.

Every country has a time when it takes firm steps to march ahead. I talk with all my experience that this time of the century is the opportunity for India to fulfil all its dreams. We all are going through such a crucial time period. I say this with confidence that this time will have an impact on this country for the upcoming 1000 years because 140 crore countrymen are putting in a joint effort to lay the foundation of the next 1000 years. We have a great responsibility while living in this time. And our only duty is to achieve development, its resolve and our efforts to manifest our resolve. The world today believes in the caliber of our youth and we should also believe in them. They can take us from Sankalp to Siddhi. In 2014, the people of India voted for a government with a full majority of power. In 2019, looking at the track records, they repeated the same because they knew who can fulfil their dreams. And people gave us another chance to serve them, this time with more firm backing. Every person in this house is responsible to provide opportunities to every citizen of this country as per their aspirations. We gave a scam-free government to the youth of India. We gave them the confidence and chance to fly in the open sky. We re-established the lost identity of India on the global stage.

When we were doing this all, the opposition gave a futile attempt to break the belief of the people in the guise of this no-confidence motion. today India is known for a record number of start-ups, FDI, exports and whatnot. They cannot listen to this all quietly. Today the poor have the confidence to fulfil their dreams. Poverty is reducing very rapidly. 13.5 crore people came out of poverty in the last five years. IMF writes in its paper that India has almost eliminated extreme poverty. IMF has called our social welfare schemes a logistical marvel. WHO said that through Jal Jeevan Mission India is saving 4 lakh lives every year. Who are these 4 lakhs? They are our own family members who come from poor strata.

WHO analysed Swach Bharat Mission and said that it saved 3 lakh deaths. Who are these 3 lakhs? they are the people living in very difficult conditions in the urban slums and rural areas. They are the deprived ones who were saved by this scheme. UNICEF said that due to Swach Bharat Mission, the poor saved Rs 50000. But these people including Congress and other opposition don’t believe what people in the world can see from so far away. They are full of disbelief and ego. They do not see the confidence shown by the people of the country. No one can help this ostrich tendency. This is like a Kala Tika put on so as to secure all the auspicious things happening here. because you came here to the house wearing black clothes.

In the last three days, the opposition brought up so many abusive words. I don’t know how many dictionaries they might have referred to. It is good that they get a catharsis through it. They abuse me every now and then. Their favourite one is Modi Teri Kabr Khudegi. But I make a tonic out of their abuses. But why does this happen? I will tell you the secret behind it today. I firmly believe now that the opposition has got a secret blessing. It is that whom they think ill of is blessed with everything. One example is here. 20 years now. So many attacks but nothing harmed me. I can prove it with three examples.

There were talks about the banking sector getting doomed. they would bring big-shot scholars from foreign countries to tell this so that people would believe them. What did happen? Our public sector banks are registering a net profit of more than 2 folds. They doomed the banks with NPA. Now, we have come out of that problem and Nirmala ji has told it in detail today morning.

The second example is HAL which makes our defence helicopters. They harmed it so much and said so many things about it defaming it in the world. They said HAL is finished. India’s defence industry is finished. In those days HAL factory doors were filmed when their workers were holding strikes. Those workers were also threatened with lies. Now, see HAL is reaching new heights of success. It has registered its highest revenue ever. This is despite the lies and accusations by the opposition. They also tried to instigate HAL workers but HAL achieved so much despite this.

Third example of the blessings opposition has is LIC, They said so many bad things about LIC. But LIC is doing so well. For people treading in share market, there is a tip. Invest in the public sector companies whom opposition abuses. The institutes they blame get a better fortune. The way they abuse the nation and democracy I am sure the nation and democracy will become stronger.

They don’t believe in the efforts, hard work and capacity of the country. I said a few days ago that in the third tenure of our government, Bharat will become the third-largest economy. Had they been a responsible opposition, they would have asked us how we are going to do this. Should I teach this also to you? Or they could have told the people that they will make India number one. But see their political narrative. See the lack of innovative ideas. See the ill-experienced talks. They say that this feat will anyways be achieved. They say we will be the third economy just like that. If they are to be believed, it proves that they do not have any policy, vision or knowledge about the strengths of the Indian economy. That is why during the Congress regime India kept growing the poverty.

In 1991, we were about to become bankrupt. We swung between 10 to 15 spots in the top economy list. But in the BJP regime, we are among the top 5. Congress thinks that it happened just like that. But we believe in Reform, Perform and Transform. Added to that we plan things and do hard work. Make changes in the plan when necessary. And this is how we are going to be the third-largest economy.

I also want to express the confidence of the nation through my words. The country is confident that when you will bring the no-confidence motion again in 2028, the nation will be among the first three economies. This is the confidence of the nation.

No confidence is their trait. We gave a call to Swach Bharat. they doubted it. We started to build toilets. They doubted saying that ‘Is this topic to be discussed from Red For?’. They did the same with Yog Divas, Startup India. We talked about Digital India. They doubted that too. We talked about Make in India. they made fun of it. Congress party never believed in the capacity of India. This is their track record.

And whom do they believe? Let me tell you. Pakistan would attack us every now and then. And they loved Pakistan so much that they believed Pakistan when Pakistan used to run away from responsibility for terrorist attacks. Kashmir was burning because of terrorism. Congress’s government did not believe the people of Kashmir but Congress believed Hurriyat, separatists and those who raise the Pakistani flag. We executed surgical strikes and air strikes. they did not believe Indian Army. They believe anyone who abuses India in the world. They enjoy defaming India. They give importance to any small thing against India and amplify it here in India. They did not trust the Made in India vaccine against coronavirus. They advocated a foreign vaccine. People believed in the Made in India vaccine. They don’t believe in the people and capacity of India. I want to tell here that the people of India have a deep feeling of no confidence towards Congress. Congress is so full of its ego that it cannot see the ground reality.

In so many parts of the country, Congress has not won for decades. They won in Tamil Nadu for the last time in 1962. For the last 61 years, Tamil Nadu is saying Congress – no confidence. In West Bengal, they won for the last time in 1972. For the last 51 years, West Bengal is saying Congress – has no confidence. For the last 38 years, Bihar Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat is saying Congress – no confidence. For 28 years, Odisha is saying Congress – no confidence. For the last so many years, Assam and Tripura is saying Congress – no confidence. In states like Delhi, they do not have a single elected MLA.

I sympathise with the opposition leaders. Some days ago, in Bengaluru, you came together to cremate the 20-year-old UPA. I should have expressed my sorrows at that time only. But it is not my fault that I am late. Because when you were cremating UPA, you were celebrating the process of applying plaster on the ruins of a building. You fought for credit for naming the new alliance. And you are taking this alliance in front of the people. Who you are following? those who do not have any understanding of the culture of this country. they do not know any difference between red chilly and green chilly. But you people know the Indian traditions. The people hiding behind false identities are ultimately exposed. Those who just have a name to save themselves are well described in our sayings. Those who call themselves fighters are running away from the battlefield and those who call themselves the luckiest ones are the most ill-fated ones. They had to take the support of the NDA to keep themselves alive. But according to their ego, they added two I’s in the NDA. One I represents the ego of one family. Other I represent the ego of all the parties. To steal NDA, they broke INDIA into I.N.D.I.A.

UPA thinks that its credibility may increase by using the name of the country. Their alliance partner DMK’s minister from Tamil Nadu has recently said that India does not matter to him. According to him, Tamil Nadu is not in India. In fact, Tamil Nadu is the state that always batted for patriotism. And such voices are appearing from there. You have so many internal conflicts and paradoxes you should introspect upon.

The obsession with a name is not their new trait. It is a decades-old thing. they think that they can rule the country by changing their name. The poor see their names and cannot see any work, as they did nothing. Hospitals, roads, schools, parks, sports awards, airports, and whatnot. Everything has its name. They ran schemes in their name and looted money under those schemes. The poor did not get anything. Nothing regarding their identity is their own. nothing belongs to them. They claim that their name, electoral sign etc. belong to them. But everything is borrowed from someone else. But they cannot hide the ego of their party.

Their founder AO Hume is a foreigner. In 1920, the people of India adopted a flag Congress stole it. They stole the Gandhi surname to lure voters. This reflects their mindset to centralise everything in the hands of one family. this is not the I.N.D.I.A. alliance. This is the Ghamandia alliance meaning egoistic alliance. Every one of them wants to become a prime minister. They did not even think about whom they are opposing in states and whom they are supporting in Delhi. In West Bengal, they are fighting against TMc and CPM. No one can forget what did they to Adhir Ranjan Ji in 1991. In Kerala, their friends vandalised their offices. How will you hide your age-old sins from the people?

You are together because you are all in trouble. Even if little change occurs in situations, you all will draw swords against each other. This egoistic alliance is the representative of dynastic politics in the country which was opposed by all the makers of this country at the time of independence. Everyone criticised dynastic politics. Because it is the common man who suffers due to dynastic politics. But Congress always opposed this thought and embraced dynastic politics. We know that Congress loves dynastic politics. You need to be a darbari to get the benefits in the system.

Many great people like BR Ambedkar, and Babu Jagjeevan Ram suffered due to this Darbari culture. Morarji Desai, Charan Singh, Chandrashekhar – there are so many names they destroyed in this Darbari politics. They did not put portraits of the great leaders in parliament due to this court politics. It was Atal Ji’s non-Congress and other non-dynastic governments in the 1990s decade that honoured them by putting up their portraits in the parliament. they don’t accept anyone out of their family as a prime minister.

But sometimes they speak the truth. As they said Hanuman did not burn Lanka but the ego of Ravan burn it. The people of India are the incarnation of Lord Ram. therefore you reduced from 400 to 40. The people of India elected the government of full majority twice. But you are not digesting that a son from a family of poor is sitting on this chair of responsibility. This will not let you sleep. And the people of the country will not let you sleep. There was a time when they used aeroplanes to cut their birthday cakes in, sent their clothes for dry cleaning. Today aeroplanes are used to send vaccines and a person using simple slippers is flying in aeroplanes. They used navy ships for family trips. Today those ships bring the Indians stranded in foreign countries back home. They are Namdars and we are Kamdars.

Yesterday, someone said about talking from the heart. The nation knows his brain for a long time. Yesterday, the nation saw his heart. They love Modi so much that they remember him 24 hours in a day. Even if I have water during my speech, they will say Modi Ko Pani Pila Diya. If I sweat while working hard for people, they become happy saying that Modi Ko Pasina Dila Diya. The one who is sinking has hope from even a small stick.

I can understand the problem of Congress. They launch a failed product for so many years. they fail in every launching attempt. As a result, they have started hating people like never before. They fail themselves and then they hate the people. however, they call themselves Mohabbat Ki Dukan. But people of the country say that this is a shop of lies and hate. This shop has sold emergencies, partitions, the massacre of Sikhs, lies told, history, and proofs of the bravery of Uri and the pride of the Indian army as well. You should be ashamed.

Most of us come from villages and small families. If a person from a village goes to a foreign, he keeps describing it for years. It is quite obvious for one such person. But those who never grew a sapling are bound to get confused during actual farm visits. Those who have not actually gone to the grounds no nothing. When they describe the hardships in India, they forget that their ancestors ruled India for 50 years. By describing those problems they are actually providing the report card of their past generations. Such is their shop of hatred.

They know that their new shop will be shut in a few days. I want to seriously tell the people of the country about the financial policies of this egoistic alliance. they want a weak nation and an incapable nation. We see the neighbouring countries following a policy just like that of Congress. I don’t expect them to become any better. People will teach them a lesson. The freebies promised during campaigns have turned into burdening taxes on the people. This egoistic alliance is a guarantee of bankruptcy of India, doomsday of the Indian economy, double-digit inflation, policy paralysis, instability, corruption, anarchy, appeasement, dynastic politics, heavy unemployment, terrorism, violence, and taking the country 200 years back. They cannot guarantee to make the country the third-largest economy in the world. I give this guarantee to make the country among the three largest economies in the world during my third tenure in the government.

Those who do not believe in democracy know how to talk but they do not have the courage to listen. They just abuse me and run away. Make a ruckus and run away. Tell lies and run away. If they had shown any agreement to the Manipur discussion appeal by the home minister, their demand would make any meaning. But they just wanted to stall the work. Yesterday, Amit Bhai talked in detail. But now this is a discussion on a no-confidence motion. Therefore, the treasury benches will cover all the topics. But you want only to politicise this issue.

Amit Shah has explained the Manipur issue on behalf of this house. He talked in detail to inform the whole nation in detail about this. It was a very honest attempt to address the issue. But you are just politicising the issue.

A decision came from the Manipur court. The situations arising in its favour and opposition led to violence in which many families were affected, and people lost their loved ones. Serious crimes against women were committed. the central and the state government is trying their best to bring them to strict punishment. I assure the nation that a dawn of peace will arise soon and Manipur will rise with confidence. I want to tell the daughters, mothers, and sisters of Manipur, this country and this house stands firm with you. We all will together solve this problem and establish peace there. I assure the people of the country that we will leave no stone unturned to put Manipur back on the development track.

The things said in this house about Bharat Mata have hurt every Indian citizen. Can’t they live without power? Why do they wish for the death of mother India? Sometimes they talk about the murder of democracy, and sometimes murder of the constitution. Their words reflect their actions and intents. Who are these people? The same ones who parted Mother India into three pieces. The same ones who cut two arms of the nation when they were supposed to cut its shackles. They are the same people who cut not only Mother India but also Vande Mataram’s song because of appeasement politics. they promote the ones who raise the slogans of Bharat Tere Tukde Honge, the ones who talk of cutting apart the Siligudi corridor to separate northeast from India.

Those who left the house should answer what is Kutch Tibbu? These DMK people write to me about Kutch Tibbu. It is an island near Tamil Nadu someone gave to someone else. Wasn’t it a part of Mother India? Who cut it away? Indira Gandhi. this has been the feeling of Congress for Mother India.

I say this with a great feeling of sorrow – there are three incidents I want to tell. On 5th March 1966, Congress attacked helpless citizens in Mizoram using Indian Air Force. Weren’t they Indian? Mizoram remembers those horrors even today on every 5th of March. Congress has kept this hidden from the people of the country. We know the attack on Akal Takht, but they developed this habit from Mizoram. And they are today preaching to us. they have killed the trust of the people of the northeast. Those wounds are still paining.

In 1962, a dreadful radio announcement was made which is still painful for the people of the northeast. In the difficult times of the Indo-China war, the only tall leader in the country at that time, Nehru Ji said ‘My heart goes out to the people of Assam’. People of Assam still remember that.

Those who call themselves a successor of Rammanohar Lohiya should remember that Lohiya ji had levelled serious accusations against Nehru ji for knowingly ignoring the northeast and keeping it undeveloped. He said that it is an act of grave carelessness to lock an area of 30000 square kilometres of land into cold storage and keep it undeveloped. Many ministers from our government visited that area more than 400 times. I went for more than 50 times. This is not a number. This is a Sadhana.

Congress cares a little if there is a political gain or electoral gain. those states in the northeast have one or two Lok Sabha seats. therefore Congress has had a step-motherly treatment towards the Northeast. This was their attitude. For the last nine years, we are working for Northeast because it is a part of our heart. Today they are presenting the Manipur issue as if this has emerged only in the last few days. The only creator of the problems in the Northeast is Congress and its politics. Not even the people of the northeast. Manipur is full of Indian culture and devotion. It is a land that gave countless sacrifices during the Azad hind Sena’s action. This part of our country was sieged by separatism during the Congress regime. there was a time when extremist organisations would rule the systems. They did not allow to put a photograph of MK Gandhi in public offices, hurled bombs at Azad Hind Sena’s memorial, schools were shut, books in a library were burnt, temples would be closed by 4 pm, army deployment was a must, ISCKON temple was attacked, officers like IAS and IPS would give their salary as extortion to these extremists – and all this was a norm during the Congress regime. The outrage of Congress is selective and politically motivated.

Our government in Manipur is trying hard to improve situations in Manipur for the last 6 years and we will continue to do that. Bandhs and blockades are a part of history already. Northeast India may seem a distant place today to many people here. But the way southeast Asia is changing and the world is changing, our northeast will become the centre of the world. We can see that happen in the near future. And we are prioritising the northeast development for the same reason. We put crores of rupees to develop infrastructure there. For the first time, Agartala is connected by train. Manipur has a goods train, Assam has Vande Bharat, waterways are functional, sports university and AIIMS are built there. People of the northeast are an important part of the government for the first time. Sabka Sath Sabka Vikas is thus an article of faith for us and not just a slogan.

I never thought that I would get a chance to sit and work here. But I assure the people of the country that every part of my body and every moment of my life is dedicated to the nation.

I praise the opposition for one thing. I had assigned them one task as the leader of the house. They listened to me and brought a no-confidence motion. But they were not prepared at all. No creativity, no innovation, no homework, no valid points, nothing. I give them another chance to bring a no-confidence motion in 2028 again. But I expect them to get prepared so that the people of the country consider them worthy to at least become an opposition party. But they just keep making a ruckus and stalling the house.

Being the top house, parliament is the pride of the nation and MPs should respect it. Parliament is not for touring once in a while. People have sent us here to work. To not work is to betray people. I trust the people of this country and the trust they have in their minds. They did not lose their trust in 1000 years of slavery. They work for the nation. We faced so many attacks during the slavery period. But the people of India did not let the flame of trust blow away. We are indebted by that. In the last nine years, our aspirations are reaching new heights. Every Indian is full of confidence. India does not bend, does not stop, and does not get pressurised. When the common man of the country believes in the country, quite naturally the world believes in the country. It is an opportunity to believe in your country. Keep quiet if you don’t understand it.

In 2047 when the country will celebrate its 100th year of independence, India will be a developed country. It will be because of the collective effort of the countrymen. History will see our Karmas as the foundation of this development.

I appeal to the fellows in the house, there were so many serious issues in the country even before Manipur and we have faced it together and come out of it successfully. Let us work all together towards a better tomorrow. I once again thank those who brought the no-confidence but I would say that this is a motion of betraying people’s feelings.

“Over 4 lakh lives saved by Jal Jeevan Mission, 3 lakh lives saved by Swachch Bharat Abhiyaan”: PM Modi cites WHO data, says opposition oblivious to India’s development

In an all-guns blazing attack on the Opposition, PM Modi said that instead of using an opportune atmosphere that is before the country, the Opposition has betrayed the people under the guise of the no-confidence motion. In a scathing attack on the opposition while replying to the no confidence in Lok Sabha, he said that the truth that the world is witnessing from afar, the Opposition cannot see even from such a close distance. “What can the country do about the (Opposition’s) Ostrich approach,” PM Modi said suggesting that the Opposition deliberately ignores India’s rise at the global stage.

“Today, India’s youth has launched record number of start ups and brought pride to India, record amount of foreign direct investment is pouring into India, India’s export is touching new heights. They (Opposition) cannot listen to anything good about India, such is their condition,” PM said.

He said that the poor are assured that their dreams will be fulfilled. “Poverty is reducing at a fast rate. According to NITI Aayog, 13.5 crores have come out of poverty in the past five years,” PM Modi said.

Quoting the International Monetary Fund (IMF), PM said that India has nearly eradicated extreme poverty. “IMF has touted our direct benefit transfer (DBT) and other such social welfare schemes as a logistical marvel.”

He also mentioned that the World Health Organisation (WHO) has said that the Jal Jeevan Mission has saved four lakh people. “Who are these four lakh people? They are the poor, exploited, backward members of our families…they are those who were compelled to life of adversity…the W.H.O is talking about the lives being saved of these four lakh people,” PM said.

“The W.H.O after conducting an analysis of the Swachch Bharat Abhiyaan said that the scheme has saved the lives of more than three lakh people.” PM Modi said these three lakh people are those who are compelled to live in shanties, who have to live through several obstructions, are my members of poor families, are those who survive in the slums in the cities, are those who live in rural areas, and they are those who belong to the backward classes.

“UNICEF has said that because of the Swachch Bharat Abhiyaan, the poor is saving Rs 50,000 every year. But the Congress along with some other opposition parties do not trust these achievements of India,” PM said.

In a more direct attack on the Congress, PM Modi said, “There was a time, they used planes and ships on their birthdays for enjoyment. Now planes are being used to transport vaccine and Navy ships are being used to bring back stranded Indians in other countries.”

PM Modi also recounted how the Congress had instigated HAL employees and said that it is faring far better under BJP’s rule now. “Despite their attempts to instigate the workers of HAL, the company has registered highest over revenue.”

Back in 2018 in the run-up to the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Rahul Gandhi had targeted the BJP government over its deal with France for Rafale fighter jets. Despite no evidence, Rahul Gandhi continued to peddle rumors that the Modi government was trying to shut down Hindustan Aeronautics Limited and render its employees jobless.

In February this year too, PM Modi had accused the Congress of spreading misinformation about HAL and wasting Parliament’s time.

No Confidence Motion defeated by voice vote after opposition MPs walk out, Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury suspended from the house

The No Confidence Motion brought by the opposition parties in the Parliament was defeated today after Prime Minister Narendra Modi replied to the motion. Although the result of the motion was already known as the Modi government does not face any challenge in terms of numbers, at the time of the voting, only treasury bench MPs were present in the house.

After three days of debate following the tabling of the motion by Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi, the opposition MPs walked out when PM Modi was speaking. They didn’t wait for the PM’s speech to conclude or to participate in the voting on the motion.

After the PM concluded his speech, speaker Om Birla invited Gaurav Gogoi to deliver his concluding remarks as the mover of the motion. But there was no response, as the MP from Assam was not present in the house. After calling his name several times, the speaker put the motion for voting, and it was easily defeated by a voice vote.

Following the voting, speaker Om Birla expressed unhappiness over the conduct of Congress MP Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury and BJP MP Virendra Singh Mast, saying their behaviours were not parliamentary. Responding to the remark, Mast apologised for causing interruptions during the debate, saying that he could not tolerate the insult of his leader.

Following this, the speaker asked parliamentary affairs minister Pralhad Joshi on the matter. The minister said that Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, the leader of the Congress party in the house, interrupted the speeches of PM Modi and other members of the treasury bench. He said that it has become the habit of Chowdhury to interrupt others, and he repeatedly makes false allegations.

As a result, Pralhad Joshi passed a motion to suspend Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury from Lok Sabha for the rest of the session. He said that for ‘gross, deliberate, and repeated misconduct of Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury in utter disregard to the house and the authority of the chair’, the matter of misconduct of Chowdhury should be referred to the committee of the privileges of the house for further investigation, and he should be suspended from the house till the committee suspends its report.

The motion was passed by voice vote, which means the leader of the Congress party in Lok Sabha has been suspended from the house.

Rajasthan: Money lender Mehrdeen rapes woman for not being able to repay interest on loan she took for her husband’s treatment, arrested

On Wednesday, August 9, the Nagaur police in Rajasthan, informed that it has arrested a money lender identified as Mehrdeen for allegedly raping and blackmailing a married woman in his neighbourhood.

The action was taken based on a complaint filed by the woman on August 7 at Nagaur police station wherein she alleged that Mehrbeen raped her once five months ago and then later once in Jodhpur. He committed the heinous crime on the pretext of the loan he had given her a few months ago for her husband’s medical treatment.

The woman said in the complaint that she had taken Rs 10,000 as a loan from the accused Mehrbeen for the treatment of her ailing husband, who was suffering from paralysis. She had returned Rs 5000 to Mehrbeen and was continuing to return the remaining Rs 5000 in monthly instalments of Rs 500.

One day, Mehrbeen approached the woman and demanded that she paid him interest on the loan she had taken. He asked her to give him Rs 10 for every hundred rupees she had taken as a loan. From that day onwards, the accused started regularly threatening her to repay the interest amount.

One day, when the victim’s husband was away for some work, Mehrbeen barged into her house and raped her for not being able to repay the interest. He also filmed the act and started using it to blackmail her.

A few days later, the accused forced the victim to accompany him to Jodhpur by threatening her with the video he made the previous time. In Jodhpur, the accused again raped her and also filmed the act. This time, Mehrbeen went a step ahead and leaked the video on social media.

After the video went viral, the victim attempted to commit suicide by jumping into a pond but she was saved by some locals present there. The villagers informed the local police about the incident, who in turn reached the spot and launched a probe into the case. The victim reached the police station on August 7 and filed a complaint against the accused.

‘This is opposition’s favourite taunt which I take as tonic’: As Modi takes a dig on ‘Modi teri kabar khudegi’ chants read how many times it was used

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday tore into the Congress party for the abusive and unparliamentary language they use against him and his government. Addressing the Lok Sabha in response to the Opposition’s no-confidence motion against the NDA government, Modi took a jibe at the opposition parties saying that “Modi teri kabar khudegi’ is their favourite slogan.

Referring to the insults and slurs hurled at him over the past three days, Modi said that the opposition has a collection of the choicest of slang, insults, and slurs reserved just for him. He stated that the opposing parties’ behaviour is driven by a pattern, and they probably scan the dictionary on a daily basis to choose the most abusive and degrading insults to use against me.

“The opposition frequently continues to call me names. I am aware that they are obliged to do so by habit. I have no idea where they get the abhorrent language to use against me. They’re constantly looking through the dictionary, I believe, to find such unparliamentary words,” PM Modi said, adding, “I feel happy that by cursing me at least they get their peace of mind.”

Continuing to mock the grand old party, Modi added that the opposition party’s current favourite among all the derogatory and obscene phrases and jargon for me is “Modi teri kabar khudegi” (Modi, your grave would be dug), but I always turn it into a tonic,” Prime Minister Modi quipped.

Notably, this is not the first time that PM Modi has mocked the grand old party for raising the slogan ‘Modi teri kabar khudegi’ (Modi, your grave would be dug). In March this year, addressing a public rally at the inauguration event of the Bengaluru-Mysuru expressway in Mandya, PM Modi said, “Before 2014, the Congress government at the Centre left no stone unturned to ruin poor people. Congress government looted the money which was for poor people.” Taking a dig at Congress for raising the slogan ‘Modi teri kabar khudegi’ (Modi, your grave would be dug), the Prime Minister said Congress is dreaming of digging Modi’s grave’ while Modi is busy in building Bengaluru-Mysuru Expressway and easing the lives of poor.

“Congress is dreaming of ‘digging Modi’s grave’ but they don’t know that blessings of mothers, sisters and people of the country work as protection shield for me. They (Congress) leaders are busy dreaming of ‘digging Modi’s grave’ while I’m is busy in building Bengaluru-Mysuru Expressway and improving the lives of poor,” PM Modi said.

Notably, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led BJP government has served for eight years, and with each passing year, attacks on the Prime Minister and his party from the leftist brigade in India and abroad as well as the rattled members of the opposition parties have only gotten worse. In reality, since Prime Minister Modi took office, members of the opposition, particularly those from the Congress, have frequently used such theatrics to berate the current administration.

‘Modi teri kabar khudegi’ slogan used by opposition in the past

On Friday, 28th April 2023, ‘Modi Teri Kabar Khudegi’ slogans were raised at the wrestlers’ protests at Jantar Mantar in Delhi. India’s ace wrestlers including Vinesh Phogat, Bajrang Punia, and Sakshi Malik are protesting at Jantar Mantar in Delhi against Wrestling Federation of India’s president and BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh.

On 23rd February 2023, Pawan Khera and other Congress leaders raised slogans against Prime Minister Narendra Modi saying “Modi Teri Kabar Khudegi”. the opponents of the BJP government in the centre and various states have often used the phrase of burying somebody while registering their so-called protests. Many other Islamists have also raised slogans to bury Hindutva in the past few years, especially during the protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act in 2019 and 2020.

A complaint was lodged with the Aligarh police station regarding certain slogans that were chanted against Uttar Pradesh’s chief minister Yogi Adityanath at Aligarh Muslim University. The shocking slogan in the protest in AMU was ‘Yogi teri kabar khudegi, AMU ki dharti par’ meaning “Yogi, you will be buried in the AMU’s soil”. Similarly, AMU students had raised slogans during the anti-CAA protests saying Hindutva, Savarkar, etc. will be buried in AMU.

Indore: Maulana Shadab Khan insults sanitation workers, accuses them of looking at women with bad intentions, booked under SC/ST Act

0

On Wednesday, August 9, the Madhya Pradesh Police filed a complaint under SC/ST act against one individual identified as Maulana Shadab Khan for abusing sanitation workers in the city of Indore. Khan released a video claiming that the sanitation workers looked at the Muslim women inappropriately in the Chanan Nagar area of the city.

In the video that went viral over the internet, Maulana could be heard saying, “Now we won’t allow our daughters, sisters, and wives to throw the garbage into the sanitation van. We pay due taxes and also extra garbage tax. We’ll throw more Rs 60 per/month (Rs 2 per day) on the face of the sanitation workers but they only will have to pick up the garbage.”

Stating the reason behind this declaration, Maulana said, “I have seen when ladies from our community raise their hands to throw the garbage into the van, their clothes also rise from the waist and these sanitation workers shamelessly watch the ladies in that condition.”

The sanitation workers after the video incident got enraged and demanded strict punishment against the Maulana. They gathered in large numbers in the Chandan Nagar area of the city and protested against the Maulana demanding strict action against him. They also didn’t pick up the garbage from the area for two days.

After this, the Maulana happened to apologize to the sanitation workers who belong to the Valmiki community. However, the latter demanded strict action and said that the house of the Maulana should be demolished.

They mentioned their community sentiments had been hurt and that they are not in need of money, but respect. “He is talking about Rs 60, we can individually throw Rs 60,000 on his face. His house should be bulldozed,” the sanitation workers added.

Valmiki Samaj has now filed FIR against the Maulana and booked him under relevant sections of the law.
