Captured terrorist Hussain confesses he was paid Rs 30,000 by Pakistani Colonel Yunus Chaudhry to attack the Indian Army

A Pakistani terrorist identified as Tabarak Hussain who was arrested by the Indian Army from Rajouri, Jammu and Kashmir, revealed on Thursday that he was tasked by a colonel of the Pakistani Army to launch an attack on the Indian soldiers. He said that Pakistani Colonel Yunus Chaudhry had given him around Rs 30,000 to carry out the suicide mission.

“I along with four-five others had come here on a suicide mission. We were sent by Pakistan Army’s Colonel Yunus who gave me Rs 30,000 to target the Indian Army. Had recced one-two posts of the Indian Army,” the terrorist said confessing that he is long associated with terrorism.

Hussain further said that he was trained by Major Razak of the Pakistan Army for the operation, and he was caught because his associates betrayed him. “I was betrayed (by accompanying terrorists) and subsequently captured by the Indian Army. I underwent six-month training and visited several (terrorist) camps (run by the Pakistan army) for Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) members,” he was quoted.

According to the reports, Hussain was arrested by the Indian Army officials on August 21 while he tried to enter the Indian territory along with four other suspected terrorists. He was injured after the alert Indian Army troops intercepted the intruders. The other four reportedly fled from the spot and left Hussain in injured condition in the Indian territory.

The Indian Army officials then shifted the injured Pakistani terrorist to the military hospital in Rajouri and also administered blood. The terrorist received first aid including three bottles of blood from the Indian Army officials. The Army men also fed him food with their hands. “He came to bleed our troops but they saved his life, gave him their blood, and fed him by their hands,” Brigadier Rajeev Nair, the commandant of the military hospital in Rajouri was quoted.

Reports mention that the now-captured terrorist is a resident of Sabzkot village of Koti in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. The Indian Army interrogated Hussain to learn that he and his associates had crossed the border to launch an attack on the Indian Army and that they were sent by Pakistan colonel Yunus Chaudhry who had paid him Rs 30,000.

Brigadier Rajeev Nair elaborating on the incident further said that Hussain was pleading for his life when he was arrested. He was heard shouting, “Mai Marne ke liye aaya tha, Mujhe dhoka de diya. Bhaijaan Mujhe yahan se nikalo (I had come to die but was betrayed. Brothers, pull me out from here)”. Hussain meanwhile also disclosed that he and his brother Haroon Ali were detained by the Indian Army in the same region in 2016 and were returned on humanitarian grounds in November 2017.

The Indian Army briefed the media on August 25 to inform them that Pakistan had made two back-to-back attempts to disturb peace in the Jammu area. “The first attempt was made on August 21 when alert soldiers deployed in Jhangar spotted movement of two to three terrorists from across the LoC in the early hours. One terrorist tried to cut the Indian post fence when he was challenged by alert sentries. The terrorist trying to flee was brought down by the effective fire. The other two terrorists who were hiding behind fled the area by taking cover of dense forest and broken ground. The injured Pakistani terrorist (Hussain) was captured alive then and provided with immediate medical aid”, Brigadier Rana confirmed.

He further said that on the night of August 22 and 23, a gang of two to three terrorists attempted to enter the Lam region. “As they proceeded forward into our minefields, a series of mines were detonated, killing two terrorists on the spot. The other terrorist may have been injured and is hiding in the vicinity, or has returned to take advantage of the bad weather and dense forest”, he added.

The Army officials on August 23 recovered the dead bodies of the two terrorists. They flew a quad-copter over the heavily mined area to identify the dead bodies. “A deliberate operation was launched through the heavily mined area and the bodies of both the terrorists were recovered along with one AK-56, three magazines, and a large quantity of ammunition”, the Army said.

‘He failed even though he was informed two hours before that PM will use that route’: SC holds Ferozpur SSP responsible for Modi’s security breach in Punjab

The Supreme Court ruled on Thursday that Ferozepur SSP Avneet Hans was responsible for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s security breach during his visit to Punjab on January 5 this year.

A bench led by Chief Justice of India (CJI) NV Ramana observed that the Ferozepur SSP “failed to discharge his duty” despite receiving information in advance that the Prime Minister will use the route. The apex court was perusing the report submitted by the independent panel led by Justice (retired) Indu Malhotra, appointed to probe PM’s security breach in Ferozepur, Punjab.

“Ferozepur SSP failed to discharge his duty to maintain law and order. He failed to do this even though sufficient force was available and even though he was informed two hours before that PM Modi will use that route,” said CJI in court today.

The court added that the five-member committee has suggested remedial measures to strengthen the Prime Minister’s security. “We will send the report to the centre so that necessary steps can be taken,” the court said.

SC appoints independent panel to probe PM Modi’s security breach in Punjab

It may be recalled that a week after PM’s convoy was blocked for over 20 minutes by protestors at a flyover about 30 km away from Hussainiwala in Punjab, the Supreme Court, on January 10, had directed to appoint an independent panel to investigate Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s security breach in Ferozepur, Punjab. The panel will be headed by a retired Supreme Court judge. The top court, while hearing a plea on the subject, told both the Centre and the Punjab governments that their investigations into the matter should be halted.

The court further proposed that the independent panel should incorporate the DGP Chandigarh, the IG National Investigation Agency, the Registrar General of the Punjab and Haryana High Courts, and the ADGP (security) of Punjab.

Notably, the three-judge panel chaired by Chief Justice of India (CJI) NV Ramana, Justice Surya Kanta and Justice Hima Kohli had taken the decision to form an independent panel to probe PM’s security breach based on a petition filed by the “Lawyers’ Voice” organisation.

The breach of PM’s security, according to the petition, was a deliberate failure on the side of the state authorities. It has urged the Supreme Court to take stringent action against the Punjab government’s “erring” officials. The PIL also raised concerns about why and how private individuals were granted access to PM Modi’s route.

On January 5, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s cavalcade was stalled for about 20 minutes on a flyover in Punjab owing to farmer protestors blocking the flyover. A huge security breach occurred when private automobiles were spotted approaching the cavalcade. According to the MHA, the Punjab government failed to deploy adequate security to ensure the safety of any road traffic. The Punjab Police had reportedly directed the protesters towards the flyover where the PM’s convoy was about to pass.

‘Pegasus not found’: Supreme Court says no conclusive proof of the spyware found on the phones submitted for examination

On August 25, the Supreme Court said that no conclusive proof have emerged to support the claim that Indian govt was using the Pegasus spyware to snoop on people. CJI Ramana said that the apex court-appointed committee probing the matter has concluded that the Israeli spyware was not found in the 29 mobile phones it examined.

The bench comprising Chief Justice of India (CJI) NV Ramana, Justice Surya Kant, and Justice Hima Kohli noted that there was some malware found in 5 of the 29 devices, it was not Pegasus. The bench said, “We are concerned about technical committee 29 phones were given… in 5 phones some malware was found, but the technical committee says it cannot be said to be Pegasus. They say it cannot be said to be Pegasus.”

The committee headed by former Supreme Court judge Justice RV Raveendran submitted its report in July. Other members included in the committee were former IPS officer Alok Joshi and Chairman of the Sub-committee in International Organisation of Standardisation/International Electro-Technical Commission/Joint Technical Committee Dr Sundee Oberoi.

The Court further noted that the Government of India did not assist the committee in the probe. The Court noted that while considering the future of the case, the apex court might upload the report on the court’s website. The case has been adjourned for four weeks.

As per reports, the court-appointed committee has recommended the enactment of a law on surveillance and improving the right to privacy, enhancing the cyber security of the nation, strengthening the protection of the right to privacy of citizens, and also a mechanism for raising grievances regarding surveillance which is illegal.

The Court said that it might upload the committee report on the website after Senior Advocate Kapil Sibal and advocate Vrinda Grover said they have a right to know what kind of malware was found on the phones and sought a copy of the report. Sibal said, “We don’t have portions which have national security implications, but we need to know what the malware was and if a redacted version can be given to the ones who gave their phones.”

However, the CJI added that some people of the 29 who had submitted their phones for examination have requested that the report should not be made public. Therefore, the court will decide which parts of the report can be made public without compromising the confidentiality of the persons who submitted their phones.

The Pegasus controversy

The Pegasus snooping issue started on July 18, 2021, when a group of media networks and investigative reporters claimed that among the 50,000 phone numbers chosen for infection with the Pegasus malware were those of Indian ministers, legislators, activists, entrepreneurs, and journalists.

Notably, Israel-based company NSO which built the spyware, claims that it only deals with governments and not private entities. However, it never disclosed who its clients were. Several international media outlets, including The Wire from India, released a series of reports claiming the Indian government used the spyware. The reports were based on an “analysis” done by a team of Amnesty International. It is notable that the Supreme Court-appointed committee had also used the tool develop by Amnesty to detect the spyware, along with various other tools.

The issue was raised in Lok Sabha as well, where the Government of India categorically denied snooping or indulging in any illegal surveillance on any Indian citizen. So far, no concrete proof has been provided by any entity that could support the claims made against the government of India in the matter.

On August 6, a report in Hindustan Times noted that the committee had found no traces of Pegasus spyware in the gadgets it had examined.

Rajasthan: Class 7 student brutally thrashed for failing to answer questions in class test, teacher taken into custody

On Wednesday, a Dalit boy studying in class 7 in a school in Rajasthan was brutally beaten by a teacher for failing to answer the questions in a class test. The accused teacher has been identified as Ashok Mali who works at a government school in Rajasthan’s Barmer.

According to the reports, the Police have taken the accused teacher into custody and are interrogating the case. The incident is said to have happened on Wednesday when the student failed to answer the questions asked in the class test. The furious teacher beat the student, and then pushed him on the floor after the student asked the reason for beating him.

The brother of the victim who also studies in the same class witnessed the incident and said that the teacher had slammed the victim’s head against the wall. One of the teachers further revealed that the brother of the victim came running to the other staff members and said that his brother had been beaten up by their teacher. “I brought the boy with me, and gave him water and food. His brother brought a tablet and gave it to him. I asked him about the medicine and tried calling the family. But the call didn’t get connected,” the other teacher added.

The victim fell unconscious at the school and was immediately shifted to the hospital for treatment. “The child complained of a stomachache and headache, but there was no serious injury. The condition of the child is stable. But, precautionary CT scan and sonography have been done,” said Dr. Dilip Chaudhary who is treating the child.

Meanwhile, Kotwali SHO Gangaram confirmed the incident and said that the family of the victim has not yet filed a complaint against the accused teacher. “Teacher has been summoned and action will be taken after a complete investigation of the case is done. The child is now stable”, he stated.

The family of the victim condemned the incident and demanded strict action against the teacher. The family members however claimed that the boy was beaten because he had submitted the class test answer sheet late. Several Dalit organizations also staged a protest against the teacher and the school in Barmer. Reportedly, the accused teacher identified as Ashok Mali was taken into custody after the severe protests.

Earlier a similar incident was reported in the Jalore district of Rajasthan when a 9-year-old Dalit boy named Indra Meghwal was thrashed for touching a pot of water that was meant for the teacher. The incident happened on July 20 after which the boy was shifted to the hospital for treatment. He died on 13 August during treatment, and the accused teacher was arrested.

‘Bad script, cringe scenes’: Vijay Deverakonda-Ananya Pandey starrer Liger gets trashed by critics

The much-anticipated sports action film Liger, starring Telugu star Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday, is now in theatres but it seems to have failed at striking a chord with the audience and critics. Since its release, the film, directed by Puri Jagannadh and also produced by him alongside Charmme Kaur and Karan Johar’s Dharma Production, has been garnering negative reviews with film critics and fans writing it off as a ‘flop’ movie.

Many people on Twitter have expressed their disappointment at the film’s ‘weak script’ and ‘screenplay’ and called out Puri Jaganaddh’s ‘lazy direction’.

A movie reviewer @urstruelyPeter called out Ananya Panday’s ‘dud’ acting and the ‘too many cringe scenes’ in the movie.

Some have called the film a ‘wasted opportunity.’

Prashanth Rangaswamy mentioned how Vijay’s stammering in the film is annoying.

A film critic going by the Twitter handle @venkyreviews rated the movie 2.5 on 5 and said that Liger is a “movie that had potential to be decent is wasted by senseless writing and cringe-worthy scenes!”

“Puri’s biggest strength is the hero characterization and dialogues but in this movie, he went completely over the top and it goes into the cringe zone. Tyson’s character is ridiculous. This is not a movie for VD to enter the Pan India market. Bad Choice #Liger,” Venky Reviews added.

Film critic and reviewer Kamal R Khan (KRK) posted a series of Tweets wherein he too reviewed the movie by using the hashtag #LLagGayeLigerKe. In his latest Tweet, KRK predicted the losses the producers of the movie Liger are set to incur. “Finally I got official budget of #Liger and it’s ₹160Cr! @karanjohar released it in Hindi on Commission. While distributor Mr Warangal Srinu bought all south languages theatrical rights for ₹67Cr! He will lose min ₹30Cr. While Karan will lose ₹50Cr! #LLagGayeLigerKe

KRK shared reviews of Telugu movie critics, who too have written off the Dharma Productions-Puri film Liger. Some have criticised the director for his ‘senseless writing’ and rushed proceedings’, while some have called him out for the ‘ridiculous plot’ and ‘lazy direction’.

He opined that the South critics have called #Liger an ‘unbearable headache.’

KRK in another Tweet shared a YouTube video wherein fans have reviewed the movie Liger. He captioned his Tweet, “Liger Public Review directly from Tamilnadu. People are abusing ⁦@karanjohar⁩ ⁦@ananyapandayy⁩ and ⁦@TheDeverakonda⁩ | Liger Public Talk – YouTube.”

Besides, any other movie critics have taken to Twitter to express their disappointment with Vijay Deverakonda starrer Liger.

“Other than VD’s physical transformation, film has no plus. Horrible perf from Ananya. No villain character (Puri is d villain). 1st half s atleast Bearable, 2nd half is total crap. Forced Mike Tyson Climax sticks out. Full of Outdated scenes. WORST!”, wrote Film reviewer CK Reviews.

All in all the Telugu star Vijay Deverakonda and Bollywood actress Ananya Panday’s pan-India film Liger has failed to impress cine-goers.

Directed by Puri Jagannadh, the sports-action film features Vijay as the titular MMA fighter boxer along with Ananya. Besides Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday, former world heavyweight champion boxer Mike Tyson is seen making a cameo in the film.

The Dharma Productions-Puri Jagannadh film has been in the making for three years and faced many delays due to the pandemic.

According to the trailer, Liger is the story of a youth born and raised on the streets of Mumbai who goes on to become a world champion in kickboxing.

The film hits theatres today in all languages, including Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada. The Hindi version of Liger, meanwhile, will premiere only night shows today (August 25) and will have regular shows from Friday (August 26) onward. For all other languages, the film’s theatrical release date is August 25.

It is notable here that Puri Jaganandh is one of the most successful filmmakes in the Telugu industry and has delivered superhits like Pokiri (remade as ‘Wanted’ starring Salman Khan in Hindi), Ye Maaya Chesave among many others. Vijay Devakonda starred in the movie ‘Arjun Reddy’ which was later made into Hindi as ‘Kabir Singh’.

Vijay Deverakonda, Ananya Panday starrer Liger faces boycott calls for its association with Karan Johar

Notably, prior to its release, Liger had also faced tremendous boycott calls by Netizens. The internet community had called for the Telugu movie “Liger” to be boycotted for a number of reasons, but mostly because Karan Johar is involved with it. The trend started after Vijay supported actor Aamir Khan and his latest box office failure, Laal Singh Chaddha.

In an interview with India Today, Vijay stated, “When you decide to boycott a film, you are not only affecting Aamir Khan, you are affecting thousands of families who lose work and livelihoods. Aamir Sir is someone who pulls the crowd to the theatres. I am not sure why this boycott call is happening, but for whatever misunderstanding, this is happening, please realise you are not affecting Aamir Khan alone but the economy.”

Owaisi proudly informs how he got ‘sar tan se juda’ chanting goons released after giving soundbytes to media that he doesn’t ‘support such slogans’

AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi very late on Wednesday took to Twitter to boast how his intervention led to release of 90 odd Islamist rioters who chanted the murderous ‘sar tan se juda’ beheading slogans.

He said that on his representation to the DCP South, about 90 odd Islamists were released. He claimed that his MLAs and corporators have been ‘working all night’ to de-escalate the situation. This comes at a time when reports have suggested that fresh chants calling for beheading were made on Wednesday by an Islamist mob which even included two AIMIM corporators.

Owaisi then informed the Islamists were released at 1:30 am. He then accused the police of using ‘disproportionate force’ and barged into someone’s home and detained five youths. He then blamed the violence and hateful beheading calls on ex-BJP leader Raja Singh’s ‘hate speech’, which was a satirical skit in response to ‘comedian’ Munawar Faruqui’s comedy skits where he had mocked Hindu gods and goddesses. Singh, in his viral video, had not taken name of any divine figures of Islam.

Owaisi had earlier ‘condemned‘ the ‘sar tan se juda’ comments. The Hyderabad MP had asked people to not take law into their hands and called for FSL for getting voice of Raja Singh tested with the audio in the viral video.

This is not the first time a mainstream politician has normalised ‘sar tan se juda’ hateful slogans calling for beheading of ‘blasphemer’. Few months prior, NCP leaders like Imtiaz Jaleel had provoked a mob to hang ex-BJP leader Nupur Sharma on crossroads for her allegedly blasphemous statements on Prophet Muhammad. Similarly, Congress leader had threatened of violence and turning Singh’s constituency into ‘ashes’ over his viral video. All these politicians are normalising violence and beheading calls.

In fact, not just normalising and justifying, none of these have ever condemned that beheading or murder should not be punishment for ‘blasphemy’. Celebrity Muslim journalists like Rana Ayyub, Arfa Khanum Sherwani and even ‘fact-checkers’ like Alt News’ Mohammed Zubair – none of them have said it in as many words that no one should be killed over ‘blasphemy’.

Karnataka: BJP MLA KS Eshwarappa gets threat letter warning to ‘cut his tongue’ for calling Tipu Sultan a ‘Muslim Gunda’, files complaint

On Tuesday, the Karnataka BJP MLA KS Eshwarappa registered a complaint at the police station after he received a threat letter warning that his ‘tongue will be cut’ if he continues to call the 18th-century Mysuru ruler Tipu sultan a ‘Muslim Goonda’.

According to the reports, the threat letter was sent to Eshwarappa at his residence on Wednesday. “Some cowards have sent an anonymous threat letter that I have called Tipu Sultan as a Muslim gunda and warned me that they will cut off my tongue,” Eshwarappa stated.

He added that he was not at all scared by such threat letters and called the anonymous coercers ‘cowards’. “I have never been scared nor will I be. But as a member of the assembly, I have approached law enforcement authorities, and given a complaint to investigate and find this coward who wrote this letter. I am confident that they will take action,” he added on August 25.

Tensions in the state of Karnataka erupted after Independence Day over the posters and banners featuring Tipu Sultan and Veer Savarkar. In Shivamogga, at Amir Ahmad Circle, one of the groups wanted to place a picture of Veer Savarkar on a high mast light pole while the other group had planned to install a picture of Tipu Sultan.

Reportedly, the other group who wanted to tie the picture of Tipu Sultan instead of Veer Savarkar made several attempts to replace or damage the picture of the latter. The Police then resorted to a mild lathi charge to bring the situation under control and disperse the crowd.

BJP MLA KS Eshwarappa meanwhile had made alleged remarks saying that Hindus in Karnataka’s Shivamogga were being deliberately targeted by Muslim goons and jihadis. Clarifying his earlier statements, Eshwarappa on August 25 said that not all the Muslims were goondas. “I want to tell elders of the Muslim community, I’m not saying all Muslims are goondas. Elders of the Muslim community have made efforts for peace in the past, I want to tell them to advise the youngsters who are indulging in goondaism, if not the government will act and they should be ready to face it”, he said.

Earlier in February also, the Karnataka BJP MLA had reacted first to the brutal murder of Bajarang Dal worker, Harsha Jingade and had called the attackers ‘Muslim Goondas’. He also led the funeral procession despite objections from the Shivamogga district administration which resulted in escalated tensions in the area.

To note, on August 16, the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) was also questioned by some Islamists and opposition politicians for displaying the poster of Veer Savarkar at Kempegowda Metro Station in Majestic. The poster went unnoticed for days, however, a passenger amid the current controversy questioned the BMRCL’s decision to celebrate Savarkar.

In the current case, Eshwarappa who received the threat letter on Wednesday has said that he has never called all Muslims ‘Goondas’, and he’s not scared of such threats. The BJP MLA hopes for the law enforcement authorities to take proper action in the case.

Telangana: NCPCR takes cognizance of children being made to raise ‘Sar Tan Se Juda’ slogans, writes to Commissioner of Police to register FIR

On August 24, the Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) took cognizance of a viral video from Telangana where children were seen raising ‘sar tan se juda’ slogans during protests in Hyderabad against Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ‘s suspended MLA T Raja Singh.

In a letter to the Hyderabad Police Commissioner, NCPCR has directed the Police to register an FIR in the matter and produce the children seen in the video before the Child Welfare Committee. The commission has further directed the commissioner to take action within seven days and submit an action taken report.

The letter read, “As per reports and videos which have surfaced on social media, a shocking revelation shows a video wherein several children in Hyderabad are seen raising slogans of ‘Sar Tan Se Juda’ and demanding that Shri T. Raja Singh, a BJP MLA be hanged. It seems that the children have been influenced and used in the protests as political tools.”

It further added, “ln view of the above, the Commission deems it appropriate to take suo-moto cognizance U/s l3l (l) O of CPCR Act, 2005 since there is a prima-facie violation of relevant provisions under Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 20l5and relevant provisions of Laws.”

T Raja Singh Controversy

The controversy around suspended BJP MLA T Raja Singh erupted after he uploaded a video criticizing controversial comedian Munawar Faruqui who has a show scheduled in Hyderabad. He had threatened that if the show happened, he would set the venue on fire. In the video, he allegedly made some derogatory remarks against Prophet Muhammad that led to widespread protests demanding his arrest. During those protests, calls for his beheading were made as well. Following the controversy, BJP suspended him and asked him to submit a reply in 10 days.

T Raja was subsequently arrested in the matter and was later released on bail. After release, T Raja said he would upload part two of the video soon. He said though he would remain a loyal foot soldier for PM Modi, protecting Dharma is more important for him than the party.

‘Kaat dalo saalon ko’: Islamists in Telangana raise slogans to murder RSS Swayamsevaks, one Kaleem Uddin arrested

On August 24, Telangana Police arrested an Islamist identified as Kaleem Uddin for raising slogans calling for the murder of RSS Swayamsevaks during a rally against suspended Bharatiya Janata Party MLA T Raja Singh. Nalgonda Superintendent of Police (SP) Rema Rajeshwari said he was booked under Sections 153, 295(A), and 506 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

A video of Kaleem Uddin had gone viral on social media platforms where a group of Islamists was holding a protest march against T Raja Singh for the alleged derogatory remarks against Prophet Muhammad. In the video, the accused was seen raising the slogan “Kaat Daalo Saalon Ko,” to which the crowd said, “RSS Walon Ko” (the slogan translates to “cut RSS members into pieces”).

Another slogan that was raised during the protest rally that was heard in the video was “Bolo Bolo Kya Chahiye, Gustakh-e-Nabi Ka Sar Chahiye” (it translates to “what do we want? The head of the blasphemer”).

Thakur Raja Singh controversy

Raja was recently arrested by Hyderabad Police for alleged derogatory remarks against Prophet Muhammad, following which he was also suspended from the party and asked to submit a reply within ten days on why strict action should not be taken against him.

He had published a video criticising certain practices, which was deemed ‘blasphemous’ by Islamists. Former IT cell head of AIMIM and social media influencer Syed Abdahu Kashaf had led a protest against him and raised ‘sar tan se juda’ (call to behead) against T Raja. Following the backlash, the video was removed from social media platforms. However, now T Raja has threatened that he would publish the second part of the video purportedly with similar remarks.

Multiple cases were registered against T Raja at Dabeerpura and Mangalhat. In a statement, the Police said, “We have been receiving complaints against him at various police stations across the city. All cases will be clubbed.”

Though the Police had asked for his remand, the court had ordered his immediate release. Later, T Raja said though he would remain a loyal foot soldier for PM Modi, protecting Dharma was more important for him than the party.

T Raja Singh case: Over 90 Islamists who chanted ‘Sar tan se juda’ chants released on Owaisi’s instructions, reports say

Over 90 Islamists who raised murderous ‘Sar tan se juda’ beheading chants over T Raja Singh’s comments on Munawar Faruqui’s ‘comedy show’ where he had once mocked Hindu gods and goddesses, have now been released by Hyderabad Police. A report by Times Now states that the police has released over 90 Islamists who ‘protested’ overnight for two nights calling for beheading have now been released.

A report by Times Now Navbharat says that the Islamists have been released on directions of AIMIM’s Asaduddin Owaisi.

Men, women and even children were involved in stone pelting as well as chanting the murderous chants calling for T Raja Singh’s beheading. The report says that AIMIM leader met the DCP South Zone and got these ‘protestors’ released.

As of today, section 144 has been imposed in Hyderabad. While on one hand, these 90 Islamists have been released, some reports suggest police has started crackdown on rioters and amid heavy chanting of Nara-e-Takbeer, Allahu Akbar, police deployment has been strengthened. Meanwhile, the Hyderabad Police Commissioner CV Anand finally visited the old city where the violence broke out after Islamists took to protest. Reports suggest the top cop was not involved in tackling law and order situation in the city that escalated over past few days and got on ground only late on Wednesday when things seem to have gone out of hand.

Meanwhile, on Wednesday, a large mob of over 50 people along with AIMIM leaders called for beheading of T Raja Singh near City College. They were taken into preventive custody and shops were shut. The afternoon prayers at the masjid were also done under strict police bandobast.
