The Bihar police made shocking revelations today about an 8-page PFI document that talks about teaching a lesson to the “coward Hindus” of India. The 8-page PFI document underlines the PFI goal for the years ahead. In the document named ‘India Vision 2047’, PFI has circulated internally among its cadre that they aim to completely dominate the ‘coward Hindus’ and subjugate them and this goal will be achievable even with 10% of Muslims rallying behind PFI. 

They have also mentioned that they plan to launch a full-fledged armed uprising against the Indian State with the help of their trained cadre and with the help of Islamic countries like Turkey. They have also appealed to other Islamic countries for help to bring the Indian State and the majority of Hindus ‘to their knees’. The police added that former SIMI terrorist Parvez and the ex-police officer named Jalluuddin, arrested by the police, have raised funds worth lakhs for this recent endeavour. 

OpIndia has accessed the full 8-page document, the contents of which are far more shocking than what the police have revealed so far. The “India 2047” document has a tagline that underlines the goal of PFI – “Towards Rule of Islam in India”.

The document fear mongers about the “current status of Muslims in India”, to “PFI in every household” strategy, their India 2047 plan and actionable points for the Muslim community in India.

Following is a point-by-point break up of what the document wants the Muslim population to do in the coming years to establish the rule of Islam and tame the “coward Hindus”.

What the document says about “present state of Muslims” in India

The first subheading of this “vision document” of the Popular Front of India (PFI) is the present state of Muslims in India. In this section, the document peddles the usual victimhood narrative that Islamists have used for years to inspire their co-religionists to pick up arms.

  1. PFI laments the fact that the ruling community of India – Muslims – have now become second-class citizens. It says that there are 9 districts in the country where the Muslim population is above 75%.
  2. PFI says that the current condition of Muslims started from the time of the Britishers, who it hilariously claims, adopted discriminatory policies against Muslims and “favoured” Hindus. “The privileges earlier enjoyed by Muslims in terms of property rights, etc. were withdrawn, Government jobs were denied and trade facilities were restricted. Since the dawn of the independence, the Government of India dominated by the upper caste Hindus adopted discriminatory measures against Muslims”, the document says.
  3. The document says that Muslim kids compete with Dalit kids and that “the rise of sectarian Hindutva forces has further aggravated the socio-economic and political conditions of Muslims. The political deprivation of Muslims has come so low that the Government of India does not bother to consult Muslims even on the matters concerning Shariat”.
  4. It says that the Muslim community is divided by “silly differences” and therefore it was difficult to fight “Hindutva forces”. It further said that the Muslim community, being the second largest in the world (in terms of the Indian population) needs to give a “model to the world” as to how the community needs to fight “anti-Muslim forces”.
  5. The Islamist organisation outlined its own role in the Muslim community. “The world looks at Indian Muslims as a model and the Indian Muslim community hopelessly waits for a miracle to happen. Sooner or later, leadership has to emerge from within the community to protect it from the immediate threats and to provide a real development model for the deprived sections of the society based on freedom, truth and equal enforcement. This is the role the Popular Front of India sees itself in”.

Vision 2047 of PFI

  1. In the document, PFI says that they have given themselves the date of the year 2047 to ensure that there is an Islamic government in India.
  2. “We dream a 2047 where the political power has returned to the Muslim community from whom it was unjustly taken away by the British Raj”, says the document.
  3. Pertinently, the PFI document says that the Muslim community has always been a minority and it does not need to be a majority to win. “If we look into history of Islam, Muslims were always in minority and for victory we do not need to have a majority. Popular Front of India (PFI) is confident that even if 10% of total Muslim population rally behind it, PFI would subjugate the coward majority community to their knees and bring back the glory of Islam in India”, the document says.
  4. The document clearly says that PFI cadres and leaders and working towards the establishment of an Islamic government in India. “PFI cadres and Muslim youths should be repeatedly told that they all were working for Deen. Allah had created the world/Kayanaat and Muslims were made for two reasons, the first to establish the law of Allah and secondly Muslims are Daai on earth. This should always be kept in mind that the rule of Islam has to be established”, the document underlines.

Stages of progression towards Islamic rule, according to the PFI document

PFI in its document outlined 4 stages of progression towards establishing an Islamic rule in India.

Stage 1:

In the first stage of this progression, PFI says that all Muslims everywhere, in different areas and belonging to different sects, need to unite under the banner of PFI. They would be recruiting more members and giving them arms training, including the use of rods, swords and other weapons – this training would also include offensive and defensive techniques.

“For this one needs to repeatedly remind Muslim community of its grievances and establish grievances where there is none. All our frontal organisations including Party should be focussed on expanding and recruiting new members. Simultaneously, we have to establish an Islamic identity among everyone beyond the concept of being an Indian. We would begin to recruit and train members into our PE department wherein they should be given training on attacking and defensive techniques, use of swords, rods, and other weapons“, the document said.

Throughout the document, interestingly, PFI talks about keeping the pot boiling and reminding every Muslim of the “grievances” they have and also establishing a Muslim identity beyond just being “Indian”.

Stage 2:

In its stage 2, PFI openly calls for the use of violence against Hindus. It says that the grievances of the Muslims should be reiterated over and over again and violence should be used “selectively” to “terrorise opponents” (Hindus) and display their collective strength. They further talk about mass mobilisation and limiting the “exposure of trained cadre to security forces”.

Stage 2 then outlines how they can carry on their nefarious activities by using punch lines like “Ambedkar”, “constitution” etc.

“From all the cadres who are being given PE, those with talent are to be spotted and recruited to be given advanced training on weapons including fire-arms and explosives. Meantime, Party should utilise concepts such as ‘National Flag’, ‘Constitution’ and ‘Ambedkar’ to shield the real intention of establishing an Islamic rule and to reach out to SCs/STs/OBCs. We would reach out to executive and judiciary and also strive to infiltrate our members in these at all levels in order to gather information and get favourable outcome in matters of our interest. Further, liasoning is to be established with foreign Islamic countries for funding and other help”.

In a scary confession, PFI says that they would try to a) infiltrate the judiciary and executive, b) use concepts such as the National Flag, Constitution etc to shield their real motives of establishing Islamic rule, and c) give firearms training to those Muslims who show “talent”, d) Liaison with foreign Islamic nations for funding.

Stage 3:

After outlining their strategy to give arms training, infiltrate the Judiciary and liaison with foreign Islamic nations for funding, the terror organisation goes on to its third stage.

  1. In this stage, the PFI says that Party (PFI) should form close alliances with the SC/ST/OBC community and win at least a few seats in elections. The alliance that the PFI wants to forge is with 50% Muslims and 10% SC/ST/OBC.
  2. PFI talks about creating a divide between RSS and SC/ST/OBCs. “We need to create a split between RSS and SCs/STs/OBCs by projecting that RSS is an organisation interested only in the welfare of upper caste Hindus”, the document says.
  3. PFI talks about discrediting all “secular” parties to further the need for a purely Muslim party that will cater to the needs of Muslims and SC/ST/OBCs.
  4. PFI asks its cadres to stockpile weapons at this stage.
  5. “The PE department should project its strength through the discipline of its members, uniformed marches and intervening physically in the defence of the community wherever required and attacking anyone against its interest. Stockpiling of weapons and explosives should be done in this stage”, the document says.
  6. All other “frontal organisations” must continue to work on fulfilling the previous stages, PFI says.

Stage 4

  1. In this stage, PFI says that it should become the undisputed leader of all Muslims, sidelining all other Muslim and secular organisations.
  2. It should also gain the trust of 50% of SCs/STs/OBCs and emerge as their representative too.
  3. PFI says that if it can achieve this support, it would be enough for them to grab power at the national level.
  4. “Once in power, all important positions in the executive and judiciary as well as the Police and Army are to be filled with loyal cadres. The doors of all Government departments including Army and Police would be opened to be filled with loyal Muslims and SCs/STs/OBCs to correct the past injustice and imbalances in their recruitment”, the document says.
  5. The ones who were being given arms training would become more “overt” at this point and “eliminate those against their interest”. “The actions of our PE department would become more overt and the number of cadres would be exponentially increased at this stage. Those against our interest are to be eliminated. These PE cadres would also act as a safeguard against influence of security forces by our opponents”, the document says.
  6. The last stage would be, after stockpiling weapons and training armed cadres, to establish an Islamic constitution and eliminate all those who stand in the way (basically, Hindus). “When we have enough trained cadres and stockpiling of arms, we would declare a new Constitution based on Islamic principles. External forces would also come for help at this stage. There would be systematic and widespread elimination of our opponents and return of Islamic glory”, the document says.

Current actionable points outlined by the PFI, that wants to establish Islam in India and eliminate all Hindus

  1. Establishment of grievances: The PFI document says that rising Hindutva and the RSS-backed-government have given them enough reasons to make Muslims believe that this government is working against the interest of Islam and that the trust deficit between the government and the Muslim community has become wide enough, thanks to the efforts of PFI. “Muslim community should always be reminded about the atrocities perpetrated upon them during demolition of Babri Masjid, communal riots and lynching of Muslims. There must be concerted efforts by all State units to make Muslims believe that the RSS led Government was planning to declare India a Hindu Rashtra and drive Muslims out of the country”, the document said.
  2. Mass mobilisation: Mass mobilisation is detailed as a “priority area” to regain the “lost glory of Islam” by PFI. According to the document, there are 3 aspects to this – Inclusiveness, Outreach and Engagement (mobilisation). “Being an inclusive organisation means Popular Front should have space for everyone from the community who wants to contribute towards our cause. Outreach means approaching the community by educating them about the issues and setting priorities for the community. Engagement in mobilisation means not just limiting our outreach to one-way education, but also engaging the masses to participate in our agenda. Bringing the people to the forefront to strive for their rights will be the expected result of mass mobilisation. To engage the mass, all the present platforms from within the organisation should be used and also existing community platforms should be influenced”, the document says.
  3. PFI in every house: The aim of PFI is to recruit every eligible member from every Muslim household, however, if that is not possible, a) recruit at least one member from every Muslim house, if not, b) recruit one person to the party, if not, c) Recruit any of them to any of our frontals, if not, d) Make them readers of our magazines/articles or at least make them post on social media.
  4. Recruitment and training of Muslims: Shockingly, at this point, PFI goes on to talk about committing unbridled violence against Hindus. It says that it does not really know the appeal of their armed ground cadre amongst the people and also does not know how much fear they induce in Hindus therefore, this needs to be tested. The PFI document says that under the garb of Yoga classes and the Healthy People Healthy Nation campaign, arms training must be given to their PE cadre. “Our well-trained PE trainers are being sent State to State to impart training to PFI members in weapon handling and explosives. We have a shortage of trainers and the numbers of potential trainees are very large. Resourceful candidates should be identified and trained to become Basic PE course instructors, secondary PE course instructors and PE masters. Further, we do not have so far proper secluded training centres/locations for conducting advanced PE courses. To meet the challenge, State units should acquire plots in Muslim-dominated localities or remote locations in order to set up proper training facilities and depots for stock-piling of arms and explosives. Locations of these centres should be under the knowhow of only selected persons. We have a long way to cover in order to train all PFI cadres and sympathisers in basic PE as well as build our own dedicated army of trained PE cadres before we can achieve our goal”, the document says.

Collection of information on Hindus, Hindus leaders and asking for help from foreign nations

In this “actionable point”, PFI goes as far as to insinuate that they should keep details about Hindus and Hindu leaders handy before the “final showdown”, essentially meaning, that they should be ready with the information to murder these Hindus and Hindu leaders.

“It is imperative to collect and keep ready detailed information about the personal details of Hindu/RSS leaders and locations of their offices before the stage of final show down comes. The information wings at various levels should keenly follow up and update their data-base. Tracking their activities would also help us in responding against their atrocities. Keeping in view the importance of information wing in the roadmap of our final goal, the working of the wing at all levels needs to be strengthened and sharpened”, the document says.

The PFI ends its “vision document” by saying that in case of a full-blown showdown with the Indian state, they will need help from “friendly Islamic nations” like Turkey. While they say they have developed close ties with Turkey, other Islamic nations need to be reached as well.

“In the scenario of full-fledged show down with the State, apart from relying on ours trained PE cadres, we would need help from friendly Islamic countries. In the last few years, PFI has developed friendly relationship with Turkey, a flag- bearer of Islam. Efforts are on to cultivate reliable friendship in some other Islamic countries”, the document says.

On Thursday 14th July 2022, a Delhi court deferred the bail decision of Sharjeel Imam in the ongoing sedition case against him. The prosecution has sought time to file its written reply in the case. The next hearing of the case will be on July 20.

The Delhi court has also asked the jail authorities to submit the CCTV footage of the cell in which the accused ex-JNU student Sharjeel Imam is lodged. The court has also asked that the duty register of the Jail Sevadar be presented in the court. These instructions by the court have come after the accused alleged that he was assaulted in jail and was also called a terrorist.

The accused Imam is the alleged mastermind behind the Anti-Hindu Delhi riots. Former JNU student and Islamist Sharjeel Imam is facing charges under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) for his role in orchestrating the riots in the national capital Delhi in February 2020. The FIR was initially registered for the offenses punishable under sections 124A (punishment for sedition), 153A (Promoting enmity between different groups on the grounds of religion, race, place of birth, residence), 153B (Imputations, assertions prejudicial to national integration) and 505(2) (Statements creating or promoting enmity, hatred or ill-will between classes) of the IPC and later section 13 (punishment for unlawful activities) of Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA) was added.

Sharjeel Imam was instructed by the Supreme Court to go to lower courts. He then moved to the Delhi High Court for bail. The Delhi High Court directed him to the lower court.

Hours after the 2 individuals were arrested for indulging in anti-India activities in Patna, the Bihar Police revealed that one more was arrested and that all the accused had planned to attack the event that witnessed the presence of PM Modi on July 12. The duo identified as Md Jalaluddin and Athar Parvez had trained around 26 people for creating violence at PM Modi’s event in Patna on Tuesday.

According to the reports, the Bihar Police busted the terror module on the evening of July 11 and arrested two accused, one of whom is a former police officer from Jharkhand. Meanwhile, the other is named Athar Parvez who is a former SIMI member and currently is a member of PFI and its political arm SDPI. ASP Manish Kumar informed in a press conference on July 14 that Parvez’s younger brother is also a convicted terrorist who was jailed in 2001-02 for involvement in a bomb blast case.

Reports mention that the two accused Md Jalaluddin and Athar Parvez had trained around 26 people for the terror mission and had taught them to use guns, swords, and knives. The Police also recovered the relevant documents from the accused to discover that the PFI was hurt by the alleged ‘blasphemous’ statements made by ex-BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma and that they had made a terror plan to take revenge against the alleged remarks.

The FIR registered in the matter also mentioned that the accused belonging to the terrorist organization had planned to disturb the event in which PM Modi had participated on July 12. PM Modi was on a visit to Bihar to attend a function organized on the occasion of the centenary celebrations of the Bihar Assembly as part of which he unveiled a commemorative pillar, planted a sapling of the ‘Kalpataru’ tree, and laid foundation stones of a guest house and a library.

Assistant Superintendent of Police Manish Kumar said that the Police were constantly keeping watch on terror organizations and their activities ahead of PM Modi’s visit as routine work. “Because the Prime Minister was coming, we were alert, and in the meantime, we came to know about these people’s office and we started investigating it closely. FIR has been lodged against a total of 26 people of which 3 people have been arrested”, he was quoted.

Bihar Police discovered during the inquiry that Parvez was in frequent contact with members of many abroad organizations and was seeking foreign funding to carry out anti-India operations. Suspected terrorist training has also begun in Phulwari Sharif 15 days before PM Modi’s visit. The police raided and detained two guys as soon as they received the information. An FIR has been filed against 26 individuals.

To note, one of the documents named ‘India vision 2047’ that has been recovered by the Bihar Police talks about ‘subjugating coward majority community and bringing back the glory. According to the Police, the document is very objectionable and talks about the ‘rule of Islam in India’. “PFI sure that even if 10% of whole Muslim population gather behind it, PFI will conquer frightened majority group and restore the glory,” Kumar continued, quoting an excerpt from an eight-page lengthy paper titled ‘India Vision 2047’.

According to the Police, the document further states that in the event of a full-fledged conflict with the state, apart from relying on cadres, they would need help from their friendly Islamic countries. “In recent years, PFI has built cordial connections with Turkey, a flag-bearer of Islam,” the police official quoted from the document.

It is notable here that the Islamic organisation PFI has been found to be involved in a number of anti-India activities often manifested as violence and hostility towards the Hindu communities and the government. From Shaheen Bagh anti-India protests, anti-CAA riots, and Bengaluru riots in 2020 to recent riots in several cities of India, PFI’s footprint has been everywhere. A number of reports have emerged showing that after the radical Islamic organisation SIMI was banned, most of its members have assimilated into the PFI.

Just when the liberals thought they can take a short break from outraging over his doing puja and relax over a cup of the first flush from the Janpath estates, he has forced them to rush to action stations to outrage yet again! How dare he create a statue of a lion with claws?

I know our liberal friends are keen to see India burn like Lanka (except for the part where the public set fire to opposition politician Ranil’s house), let us let our imagination run wild and assume that Rahul Gandhi is our PM and created this statue and BJP is the one opposing. 

While both parties are perfectly capable of hypocrisy and political shenanigans wrapped up in a moral façade, we are more interested in the reaction of our world-famous ‘fearless and independent’ intellectuals, academia and ‘journalists’.

Opposition leader J P Nadda, in his tweet, said, “Shehzade’s decision to bare the lions’ claws is just a warning that they are planning to impose emergency and reveals the family’s fascist mindset. We will fight this just like we fought in 1975”.

Reaction was swift and brutal.

Rajdeep Sardesai quipped that BJP has run out of ideas and is now raking up trivial issues. “When so many other issues are there, why raise this? Shubh ratri!”

His wife and independent journalist Sagarika was more scathing – “If the BJP wants a docile animal, why don’t they propose the cow? What a decline from the 56-inch days!”

Varadarajan’s take was much more nuanced – “BJP once again reveals its fascist, patriarchal DNA. Male lions don’t show claws but female ones do, especially when they are threatened. By attacking the government over this matter, Nadda proves he still lives in the 18th century”.

Kavita Krishnan was asked for her reaction. “Sorry I am rushing from one revolution, I mean TV studio, to the other. Anyway, stop this fascist, Sanghi attempts to turn a lion into a cow. Cows are to be eaten, not lions. They eat so they need claws. Go back to school Modi, not WhatsApp!”.

Comrade Yechuri was as usual measured and intellectual in his criticism “This just shows the struggle of the subaltern is not over. We support this government from the outside since we want power without accountability as always and we strongly endorse this decision to change the lion’s docile persona. The claws represent the fight against Hindutva and superstition just as the sickle does in our flag”.

Shekhar Gupta had an entirely new angle in his usual 50-word editorial – “They want to hide the claws and turn the lion into a vegetarian. After all, BJP is still an upper caste party. Without claws what will the lion eat? Grass? If still in power, they would have asked all lions and tigers to stop eating meat. As a Punjabi, I relish my meat and so does the lion.”

Malini too seemed to agree. “What does Modi think? Is this Hindu office canteen? Does he want lions to eat curd rice and pickles?”

Swati Chaturvedi was at her best in her NDTV Op-Ed – “now that we have a dynamic young 65-year-old PM in Rahul, and dashing Rehan ready to step in to provide leadership, sources in the BJP tell me they are not comfortable. They prefer 95-year-old Modi to be back. And he has no teeth left. That’s why they are upset with the lions baring their teeth. This was confirmed to me by two very reliable internal BJP sources. Please don’t say I fished it out of my morning cup”.

Her colleague Rohini expressed it best “Lol Sanghis want a lion without tooth and claws, just like the godi media. I can fearlessly speak truth to power now as I did in 2017 before the UP elections!” On her Instagram account, she posted a nice picture of herself in her newly upgraded 4BHK happily munching on drumstick chicken with her teeth.

The issue has now become international. Greta Thunberg and the UN spokesperson condemned the reported statement of Nadda. “We are finding it strange that attempts are being made to change the fundamental character of a lion. This is bad for the world and makes climate change even worse by affecting delicate ecosystems”.  

President Biden was told to deliver a strongly worded statement attacking Modi but unfortunately, he read out the lunch menu in his press conference. The intern responsible for this teleprompter goof-up has been sacked. 

The NYT in a strongly worded editorial, condemned Hindu nationalists’ attempts to change the story of animal evolution and force fit it into their outdated worldview that was rejected by Indian voters. It also demanded that one of the four lions be declared non-binary and the other queer.

Stung by this reaction, BJP has now gone into the defensive. Indications are that they will quietly drop the entire matter.

46 cases in 7 months, minor Hindu girls targeted: Increasing cases of Grooming Jihad in Bareilly where men use false identities

From January 2022 to July 10, there have been 46 reported cases of Grooming Jihad in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh. It is evident that there is a well-planned conspiracy behind the cases. According to a report in Jagran, the Police have registered many of the cases as extortion, however, the statements given by the victims tell a different story.

The Bal Kalyan Samiti has recorded the statements of the victims of Grooming Jihad. As per the Committee’s officials, most of the girls said in their statements that they were kept in the dark and later forced to convert to Islam.

As per the official records, there were 250 cases where minors were the victims. Out of these cases, 46 were of girls who were lured by men of other religions and forced to convert. On average, at least seven girls in Bareilly were subjected to Grooming Jihad every month. In the majority of the cases, the girls converted to Islam.

The Committee said that at least eight girls have said on record that Muslim boys posed as Hindus and lured them into a relationship. They came to know about their actual religion only after leaving home. Five of the girls were instigated to commit theft at their homes. They were asked to steal cash and jewellery from the house before leaving. Reportedly, one of the victims is the daughter of a local leader.

A Muslim boy had come to her house to install CCTV cameras and got into a relationship with a teenager. On June 26, the teenager left the house with cash and jewellery at night. The accused, who was identified as Dawood, kept her at his house. On June 28, Police tracked her and arrested Dawood. In her statement, the teenager alleged that her family members of Dawood were involved in the matter. The Police booked Dawood in POCSO Act and sent them to jail.

Hindu girl lured and taken away to Punjab for Nikah

In another case, a Muslim boy named Amir posed as a Hindu and lured a 15-year-old Hindu girl. Both of them lived in the same Police Station area. As per reports, Amir tried to talk to her on several occasions. He would circle the locality and even gave her a mobile phone as a gift. Soon, they started talking, and eventually, he brainwashed her completely. He told her they would travel the world, and he would treat her like a queen.

One night he took the teenager with him and went to Punjab. He asked her to do Nikah with him. The girl questioned her as he presented himself as Hindu, but Amir persuaded her to do Nikah. Later she also got pregnant. He made the teenager stop talking to her family. She somehow managed to talk to her parents and inform them what had happened. Her parents filed a complaint against Amir and brought her back from Punjab. At the moment, she is five months pregnant.

Teenagers lured to commit theft at home

A Muslim boy named Barish wanted to target a Hindu girl. He got in touch with the boyfriend of her best friend and befriended him. Slowly, Barish used the person to get in touch with the Hindu girl. The whole time he posed as a Hindu boy. He finally befriended the Hindu teenager girl and started talking to her regularly. During that period, he brainwashed her and convinced her to move in with him. He also convinced her to steal valuables from her house. One night, the girl left home with a lot of cash and jewellery. The family members of the girl filed a complaint on the basis of suspicion, and the girl was brought back by the Police. Barish was booked under POCSO Act and sent to jail.

Bal Kalyan Samiti’s Dr Rakhi Chauhan told Jagran that both the girls had recorded their statements with the Committee. At present, they are living with their parents and visit the Committee every month. Dinesh Chandra, president of Bal Kalyan Samiti, said in a statement that such cases have increased in the current year compared to the previous year. Around six to seven such cases come to light every month. Depending on the circumstances, the girls are sent either with the parents or to the children’s home.

Maharashtra: Shinde-Fadnavis govt reduces petrol prices by Rs 5 and diesel prices by Rs 3

The newly formed Eknath Shinde government in Maharashtra reduced the prices of petrol and diesel in the state by Rs 5 and Rs 3 respectively. The decision was taken in the second cabinet meeting of the state government held by chief minister Eknath Shinde and deputy chief minister Devendra Fadnavis. Revised petrol price in Mumbai – the capital city of Maharashtra will be Rs 106.35 while that of diesel will be Rs. 94.28.

Devendra Fadnavis tweeted, “Great relief to Maharashtrian & Marathi Manus! Happy to announce that the new Government under CM Eknathrao Shinde has decided to reduce Petrol & Diesel prices by ₹5/litre & ₹3/litre respectively.”

In a subsequent tweet, Devendra Fadnavis tweeted, “This is our step towards the appeal made by Hon PM Narendra Modi Ji for the benefit to common citizens. The state will carry a burden of ₹6000 crores for this decision.”

On 22nd May 2022, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman stated that the central government will bear the full cost of the Rs 8 per liter reduction on petrol and Rs 6 reduction on diesel. On Saturday, May 21, 2022, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced that the central government will lower the central excise duty on petrol and diesel. This has eventually cut the retail price of petrol by Rs 9.5 and diesel by Rs 7. After this, many BJP-ruled states including Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh reduced the VAT charged by the state governments which further lowered the fuel prices in those states.

Now, as Bharatiya Janata Party formed a government in Maharashtra in coalition with the Eknath Shinde group of Shiv Sena, the decision is taken in the second cabinet meeting on 14th July 2022. Informing about the other decision taken in the cabinet meeting, Chief Minister’s Office (CMO Maharashtra) tweeted, “Cabinet Meeting Decision taken in the meeting held on Thursday, July 14, 2022, are briefed as follows: 1. Decision to reduce rates by Rs 5 per litre on petrol and Rs 3 per litre on diesel. (Department of Finance) 2. Swachh Maharashtra Abhiyan (Urban) 2.0 will be implemented in the state. (Urban Development Department)”

CMO Maharashtra wrote in the next tweet, “3. AMRUT Mission 2.0 (Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation) sponsored by the central government to be implemented in the state. (Urban Development Department) 4. Mayors of municipal councils and Nagar Panchayats will be directly elected by the people. (Urban Development Department)”

Earlier today, the Shinde government also announced that all projects related to the Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train project have been cleared.

‘Will launch probe into how it became part of syllabus’: Head of Punjabi University bends to SGPC, removes mention of Bhindranwale as terrorist

On July 13, Punjabi University decided to remove some ‘objectionable’ content from a MA political science book after the Shiromani Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee (SGPC) wrote to the varsity. In the latter, SGPC strongly objected to the book as it mentions Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale as a terrorist. The syllabus-based book is published by the university’s Distance Education Department.

“I came to know about the objectionable content. We will remove it and launch a probe into how it became part of the syllabus,” said Satnam Singh Sandhu, head of the Distance Education Department of Punjabi University, Patiala.

The decision came after SGPC president Harjinder Singh Dhami wrote to the Vice-Chancellor and the department concerned urging it to take immediate note of the “objectionable content” and issue clarifications over it.

In the letter, SGPC President Advocate Harjinder Singh expressed his displeasure over the ‘derogatory’ content of the book. Hailing Khalistani terrorist Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale as a ‘saint’, Singh said, “Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale has been described as a terrorist in the syllabus of MA political science. This unacceptable language is found in the Punjabi medium book of MA political science (fourth-semester syllabus). From page 26 onwards of the Punjabi University book starting with the chapter titled ‘Punjab De Sikh Jangju Andolan Da Vishleshan’ (Analysis of Sikh Militant Movement in Punjab), Bhindranwale has been targeted and the curriculum contains many more controversial information about the Sikh struggle. In view of the seriousness of the matter, I have ordered to take action. We have written a letter to the V-C of Punjabi University and the department concerned asking them to make amends for the insulting content.”

“This is nothing but an expression of the university’s anti-Punjab and anti-Sikh mindset which could endanger the state’s peaceful atmosphere. “Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale was a Qaumi Shaheed, declared martyr by Sri Akal Takht Sahib. He fought for the rights of Sikhs and Punjab, and was martyred in a clash with the Army during Operation Blue Star. Legal action would be taken against the university if it doesn’t change the content and apologise,” the SCPC chief added.

AAP govt takes back order to remove pics of Khalistani terrorist Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale and Hawara from state-run buses 

Earlier in the day, OpIndia reported how the AAP government in Punjab was compelled to take back the orders that it had passed on July 6 to remove the pictures of Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale and Jagtar Singh Hawara from state-run buses.

A letter issued by PRTC Patiala read that the Corporation had received a complaint by the government about the photographs via email. The state government had directed PRTC to take appropriate action, following which the Corporation had issued orders to remove the photographs.

However, as per the PRTC orders, some religious organizations claimed their religious sentiments were hurt, and the order was thus withdrawn.

Hawara is a Babbar Khalsa terrorist serving a life sentence for assassinating Chief Minister of Punjab Beant Singh. Following the July 6 orders, Sikh groups in Punjab including Dal Khalsa, Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC), Akali Dal (Amritsar), and others organized a protest against the orders to remove the photographs and slogans from the state-run buses. They had threatened to revolt against the orders if they were not revoked by Tuesday.

Notably, in the month of March this year, the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) also raised strong objections to the decision of ‘banning’ the flags carrying pictures of Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale by the Himachal Pradesh government.

Illegal Chinese nationals: Special Task Force arrests Ravi Natwarlal’s partner Johnson with three accomplices, UP police arrest 14 other Chinese nationals

On Wednesday 13th July 2022, the Special Task Force (STF) arrested a Chinese national named Johnson (age 27) who ran a pub-bar-casino in Greater Noida. Johnson was arrested with his three accomplices. The Uttar Pradesh police have also arrested 14 other Chinese nationals including a woman. These arrested Chinese people were illegally living in India since 2020.

Four Chinese nationals have been detained by the Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force’s Noida division. They were all collaborators with Chinese citizen Xue Fei (36), who was operating an illegal club cum guest house in a village outside of Greater Noida despite his visa expired. According to police sources, the accused were part of a hawala racket run by Fei.

The arrested accused have been identified as Ryan, Zeng Haozhe, Zeng Deye, and Johnson. Johnson is the partner of Ravi Natwarlal who owned the guest house from where Xue Fei was arrested. All four detained Chinese people were living in India without a valid Visa. Johnson was absconding since two Chinese nationals, who spent 18 days in the same guest house, were caught without a visa at the Nepal border. Johnson lived in the guest house with his girlfriend who hails from north-eastern India. It was through his girlfriend that Johnson operated a bank account. Now the STF will take him on remand and interrogate him.

According to a report by Amar Ujala, Johnson had forgotten to take a visa in a hurry while absconding. Without a visa, he could not return to China. In such a situation, he was trying to escape from the Indian border to China or any other country but was caught by the STF.

According to a report by the Millenium Post, a senior official of STF said, “Ever since the arrest of Fei last month, we had been picking up people associated with him, and Johnson was found to be the business partner in the illegal club run in Greater Noida village. Names of three more people popped up during interrogation who have also been held by our teams using electronic surveillance. Apart from Johnson, the three were arrested late on Tuesday night while Johnson was nabbed on Wednesday morning.”

The Greater Noida Chinese nationals arrests

On Tuesday 14th June 2022, Noida Police raided a property in Gharbara village, which was revealed to be a Chinese-only club. Almost 20 Chinese nationals residing unlawfully in India utilized this club as a safe haven and gathering place. The police are searching for the jailed Chinese national’s three Indian associates. One of them is Ravi Natwarlal. Fei has consistently mentioned him as one of the Indians who signed the leasing deal for the club’s premises. The recently arrested accused Johnson was the partner of Ravi Natwarlal and Xue Fei.

More Chinese nationals arrested

Fourteen Chinese people, including a woman, were arrested on Wednesday for allegedly unlawfully residing in the country since 2020. They were all employees of a private sector company in Noida Phase 2 and had legitimate passports, but their business visas had expired.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Noida) Rajesh S said, “The 14 Chinese nationals were detained by the Sector 49 police station team. The local intelligence unit had information that their visas had expired in 2020 but they had overstayed.” The DCP said the detained persons are not linked to the Greater Noida case.

According to a report by India TV News, the detained Chinese nationals are identified by police as Junhui Yin, Chuanliu Gong, Honglin Qi, Shilong Gang, Jintao Zhang, Tan Yang, Xiaogang Zhao, Yingli Zhang, Zhi Liu, Tao Wang, Dao Lin Zhang, Zhixiao Pan, Huang Yingjie. Feiyan Tang is the only woman detained by the police in this case.

Jharkhand: State-run school’s headmaster Abul Kalam thrashes class 4 student for writing ‘Jai Shri Ram’ on blackboard

On July 9, a minor student of a state-run school in Giridih, Jharkhand was brutally assaulted for writing ‘Jai Shri Ram’ on the classroom’s blackboard. The incident was reported from the Palmo village, located in the Giridih district of Jharkhand.

According to a local media report, the headmaster of Upgraded Govt Middle School Palmo (UGMSP), Mohammad Abul Kalam, on July 9, thrashed the class four student, after he learned that the boy had written ‘Jai Shri Ram’ on the blackboard the previous day. Upgraded Govt Middle School is a state-run school for Grades 1 to 8. 

The incident came to the fore after the traumatised child narrated his ordeal to the parents. At first, the child refrained from telling his family what transpired, out of the fear of possible further assault. The parents, however, could gauge that something was off with the child due to his mental state. After much prodding and pestering, the child finally shared his ordeal.

The parents, in turn, narrated the horrifying incident to some other parents in their neighbourhood. After the news spread, local villagers called for a meeting in the school on July 13. Dozens of people, including numerous notable members of the panchayat, headmaster Abul Kalam, and the school administration committee, attended the meeting.

During the meeting, many other parents also accused headmaster Mohammad Abul Kalam of forcing their children to clean the school toilets. Many irate villagers castigated the headmaster for torturing the young children studying in his school. Seeing the atmosphere heating up, the members of the panchayat informed the local Mufassil police station in Hazaribagh, Jharkhand. When the police arrived, they first pacified the enraged locals before dispersing the crowd.

Information about the incident was also given to the District Education Officer Pushpa Kujur, who ordered a probe in the case and assured strict action against the headmaster if found guilty.

Condemning the incident, Avinesh Kumar, the state spokesperson for the BJP in Jharkhand said that the Taliban-style tyranny would likely be witnessed in Jharkhand in the near future given the way the current ruling dispensation has been endorsing radical Islamism and pandering to fundamentalists in the entire state.

Islamification of state-run schools in Jharkhand

Notably, the government schools in Jharkhand have recently been in the headlines for their steady Islamification. Several state-run schools have reportedly been making modifications in response to the whims of the local Muslim population.

Recently it was reported how Sharia and Islamic practices were being imposed on the students of a state-run school in Jharkhand’s Garhwa district, with children being forbidden from praying with their hands folded. Then reports emerged on how state-run schools in areas like Jamtara and Dumka, which is the hometown of Chief Minister Hemant Soren, were being converted into Urdu schools, and the weekly offs changed from Sunday to Friday (Jumma).

In April, a ruckus ensued in the Government Jagannathpur Polytechnic college in Jharkhand after students chanted ‘Jai Shri Ram’ and Bharat Mata Ki Jai slogans while celebrating ‘Nav Samvatsar’, the first day of Hindu New Year. OpIndia reported that on Saturday, April 2, 2022, a group of students gathered on the terrace of Jagannathpur Polytechnic College’s residential hostel building to celebrate the first day of Hindu New Year. Students celebrated and chanted ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’ slogans, which infuriated some ‘secular’ students and those from a ‘particular community.’ These students complained to the college principal, who rusticated one of the students and suspended two others who led the celebration. Along with this, almost 500 Hindu students were denied food on that day.

There seems to no end of trouble for Alt News co-founder Mohammad Zubair, as today a court in Hathras in Uttar Pradesh remanded him to judicial custody for 14 days. Zubair was produced at the court in Hathras, and after the hearing the court sent him to judicial custody till July 27.

As many as seven cases have been registered against Zubair in Uttar Pradesh, out of which two are in Hathras. One of the cased is related to his social media posts defaming Hindu Gods and Hinduism. He has been charged under section 153A (promoting enmity between different groups on ground of religion, race, etc.), 295A (deliberate and malicious acts, intended to outrage reli­gious feelings of any class), 298 (Uttering, words, etc., with deliberate intent to wound the religious feelings of any person) of Indian Penal Code and section 67 (publishing or transmitting obscene material in electronic form) of Information Technology Act.

The FIR filed on July 4 at the Kotwali police station had said that Zubair used to make a “mockery of Hindu deities” on social media. Hathras authorities had produced a warrant at the Sitapur jail, where he is currently lodged, to produce him in Hathras for the hearling.

Last month Zubair had deleted his Facebook page and removed several tweets after netizens had pointed out Hinduphobic messages he was posting on social media. His anti-Hindu posts on Twitter and Facebook had come under scrutiny after he had triggered the nationwide protests and violence against Nupur Sharma for her comments on Prophet Mohammad.

The second FIR againat Zubair in Hathras was registered over riots in Purdil Nagar on June 10 after Friday prayers. Zubair is accused of inciting the riots against Nupur Sharma. He has been charged under IPC sections 153 A (promoting enmity), 353 (criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his duty), 188 (disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant), and 120 B (criminal conspiracy) in this FIR.

Zubair was arrested by Delhi police after an FIR was registered against him accusing him of hurting religious sentiments by a 2018 tweet. Subsequently, more FIRs were filed against him in Uttar Pradesh, and police started taking action on FIRs that were already filed against him earlier.

Apart from the 2 FIRs in Hathras, FIRs have been filed against him in Ghaziabad, Muzzafarnagar, Sitapur, Lakhimpur Kheri and Chandauli. All of these FIRs were registered almost a year ago in 2021. While he has been granted interim bail by the Supreme Court in the Sitapur case, he has not been granted relief in the Delhi case.

It is notable that given the volume of allegations against Md Zubair, the Uttar Pradesh Police have formed an SIT to probe the cases against him.
