SFI workers vandalise Rahul Gandhi’s office in Wayanad over SC order on Eco Sensitive Zone, clash with Congress workers

The office of Rahul Gandhi in Wayanad in Kerala was vandalised by SFI workers today. The Congress leader is Lok Sabha MP from Wayanad. The SFI workers marched to Rahul Gandhi’s office, and then entered the office and vandalised it.

The Congress party has blamed the Students’ Federation of India (SFI) for the vandalism. SFI is the student wing of the Communist Party of India (Marxist).

Videos posted by Congress workers show that the miscreants entered the office of Rahul Gandhi and clashed with the Congress workers present in the office in Wayanad. In a video posted by Youth Congress on Twitter, the workers of SFI and Congress can be seen fighting with each other.

Chairs in the office were broken and Congress workers were beaten.

“The extremism in the left-wing politics of Kerala is out in open. Why is Kerala Government promoting such hooliganism in Kerala? The goon should be identified and put behind the bars,” youth Congress Twitter account posted along with the video.

In another video, the miscreants can be seeing entering the office which looked like is located on the first floor of a building. Some of them are seen carrying and waiving the white SFI flag with red star.

The entire was ransacked and vandalised as a result of this clash. Videos taken after the incident show how fixtures and furnitures were destroyed in the clash. One portrait of Rahul Gandhi is seen lying on a chair, while another portrait with its frame broken is seen lying face down on the floor.

Reportedly, the SFI workers are angry over Rahul Gandhi’s alleged silence of the recent Supreme Court order over maintaining eco sensitive zone. Earlier this month, the apex court had ordered to maintain an Eco Sensitive Zone of 1 km around protected forests. The court banned any permanent structures in such ESZs.

This has triggered protests in Kerala, as it is feared that thousands of people will lose their livelihood due to this. Farmers in several areas in the state including Idukki, Kottayam, Pathanamthitta and Wayanad are already protesting against the order, as they use the edges of the protected forests for farming. The state govt and the church are supporting them.

According to media reports, the SFI workers that ransacked Rahul Gandhi’s office demanded that he break his silence over the issue. But Congress workers claim that SFI was angry because Rahul Gandhi had already written a letter to Kerala CM over the issue.

Rahul Gandhi had sent a letter to CM Pinarayi Vijayan over the issue on June 2, where the Congress MP had urged the state govt to intervene in the matter. He had suggested the state govt to the Central Empowered Committee (CEC) and the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEF and CC) to solve the issue.

He had written that there was growing apprehension about the grave implication of the judgment on the lives and livelihoods of the people in the State. As one of the most densely populated regions in the Western Ghats, maintaining a minimum ESZ of one kilometre would hamper the activities of the local communities, many of whom peacefully coexisted in these protected areas for generations, he had said in the letter.

Rahul Gandhi had said that the court order allows for some dilutions of the provision in overwhelming public interest, and the state govt should take advantage of the same.

However, the ruling LDF had termed the act of Rahul Gandhi writing to the CM over the issue as childish and immature. The left parties had said that state govt has no role in this matter, and only the central govt can intervene in it.

Sidhu Moosewala’s song SYL released posthumously: From wishing for return of Babbar Khalsa terrorist to ‘sovereignty’ for Punjab, read about the problematic lyrics

Khalistani sympathiser and Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala was shot dead near his village in Mansa on the 29th of May 2022. Since his death, his first song ‘SYL’ (Satluj Yamuna Link Canal) has been released which centers around the long-standing river water dispute between Punjab, Haryana, and Himachal Pradesh. The song has expectedly got a large number of views on YouTube having been released less than 4 weeks after Moosewala’s death.

As the Twitter user “The Hawk Eye” summarised on Twitter, the lyrics of the song glorified terrorists, provoked violence, and tried to fuel the fire of ‘self-determination’ for Punjab, talking about an independent Khalistan.

The song, in which Moosewala repeatedly says that forget water, we will not give even a drop of water to anyone, has problematic lyrics and visual imagery all the way through. Right at the start, Moosewala talks about giving Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, and Chandigarh to Punjab. On 1st November 1966, post-independence Punjab was divided into 3 states, Punjab, Haryana, and Himachal Pradesh on the basis of language.

Further, in the very next line, Moosewala says that after ‘returning’ Haryana and Himachal Pradesh to Punjab, complete sovereignty should be provided to Punjab else they will not give any water to anyone. This demand for sovereignty for a state is only a step short of demanding a separate Khalistan.

The song also goes on to warn that if there is no alternative way then Balwinder Jattana will return. Jattana was the terrorist who killed 2 senior engineers working on the SYL project in Chandigarh. Affiliated with Babbar Khalsa terrorist outfit, the Ropar resident Jattana killed Chief Engineer and the Superintending Engineer working on the SYL project in 1990. Following the murders, the construction on SYL stopped as the terrorised engineers refused to continue working on it. Jattana was later killed in a police encounter in 1991.

In the text on-screen during the song, Sidhu Moosewala goes on to call SYL canal the causative agent of the Congress-led pogrom of Sikhs in Delhi in 1984. The flag hoisting at Red Fort by a Sikh mob on 2021 Republic Day also finds a place in the video of the song. The video also shows a bomb blast on an animated canal, pushing the idea that violence should be used to stop SYL.

The song ends with Meghalaya Governor Satyapal Malik’s disturbing speech in which he said that one should not test Sikhs’ patience as they killed Indira Gandhi, General Vaidya in Pune, and General Dwyer in London.

While Rahul Gandhi claims ED officials hailed his stamina, ED says Rahul said he was too tired and did not answer 20% questions

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi who is under ED’s radar in the National Herald case claimed on Wednesday 22nd June 2022 that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials interrogating him were surprised by his stamina. However, the ED officials have refuted this claim and said that Rahul Gandhi dodged 20% of the questions saying that he was too tired to answer them.

On Wednesday, June 22, Rahul Gandhi attended a program at the All India Congress Committee headquarters. It was a meeting of lawmakers and senior leaders called from various states. Rahul Gandhi claimed that the agency officials were astounded by his stamina and resilience since he remained seated still for hours while they kept moving. Rahul Gandhi said that when the officers inquired about his secret, he attributed it to his vipassana training.

But what ED officials have revealed is in sharp contrast to the claims made by the Congress leader. According to a report by the Times of India, a source in the agency said, “The fact is that he avoided replies to almost 20% of the questions put to him by saying that he was feeling too tired.”

Gandhi has been recording his statement with the ED in multiple sessions in connection with the National Herald case. After he was questioned on June 14, it was reported by some media outfits that he was interrogated for 20 hours. However, the ED sources clarified that he was questioned for only three hours and the rest of the time was utilized by Gandhi to evaluate and proofread his responses. The responses are reviewed, corrected, and retyped before they are signed by Gandhi.

The agency sources said, “He took long to go through his own replies and it is the reviews which accounted for the longer part of the session each day.” The Wayanad MP would arrive at around 11 am at the ED office and every day he left at 11 pm. In between, he was allowed to go home for a one-hour lunch break.

The ED sources also said that it was wrong of the Congress party to publicize the claims made by the Gandhi scion about what happened during the ED interrogation, considering the fact that the party had earlier sent a legal notice to the home minister, the finance minister, and the law minister in which the party had accused ED of committing a criminal offence of leaking the details of the interrogation.

The National Herald scam is one of the most notable legal cases in Indian history, as the Gandhis are directly accused. The mother-son duo of Congress President Sonia Gandhi and her son Rahul, along with their aides – Oscar Fernandez, Motilal Vohra and Sam Pithroda are alleged to have been involved in massive ‘cheating and breach of trust’ in the acquisition of Associated Journals Ltd (AJL) by Young Indian Pvt Ltd (YIL). Assets worth crores of rupees had been allegedly transferred for purposes other than originally intended for a paltry sum. Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi got unconditional bail in December 2015.

‘Tehelka tapes have no legal value, claims were only to seasonalise and politicise’: Supreme Court while dismissing Zakia Jafri’s plea

While dismissing a plea challenging the clean given to PM Narendra Modi by SIT in the 2002 Gujarat riots, the Supreme Court today said that the Tehelka tapes are of no avail. The plea was filed by Zakia Jafri, widow of former Congress MP Ehsan Jafri, who was killed during the violence at Gulbarg Society in Ahmedabad on February 28, 2002. The petitioner had heavily relied on the tapes to alleged that Modi was involved in the riots. The court also said that claims made by people like Sanjeev Bhatt and Haren Pandya were only to seasonalise and politicise the issue.

The Supreme Court bench led by Justice AM Khanwilkar said that while the petitioner has heavily relied on the Tehelka tapes involving alleged confessions of some people that had appeared in 2007, they are not legally acceptable. The bench further said that the tapes were already considered ‘at great length’ by the court between 2008 and 2011 when the court was monitoring the SIT probe, and the tapes are of “no avail”.

The apex court said that the confessions seen in the tapes are extra-judicial and they don’t stand the test of law. The court said that such extra-judicial confessions can be taken only against the maker of the statement, not against other persons mentioned in the statement.

“It does not follow that the contents of such tape would have probative value. Upon investigation, if it was to be found that the tape and the contents have probative value, only then it could be used, that too against the maker of the statement alone and not against any other person,” the court noted.

The court also noted that the SIT had interrogated all the relevant persons seen in the Tehelka sting videos, and their statements were recorded. Moreover, some of the claims made in the tapes were not corroborated by probe of the SIT, like the claim that there was a build-up of arms and ammunition in Gujarat even before Godhra train burning incident.

In another very important observation, the court said that there is no evidence or recovery of the bullet fired from private weapon by any member of the mob that attacked Jafri. Instead, the “empty cartridge shells and bullet casings” found at the site were actually fired from the licenced weapon of Ehsan Jafri.

The bench further noted that the Tehelka tapes only alleges criminal conspiracy at the local level, and they have nothing to do with the allegations of a “larger conspiracy” which was probed by the SIT. The court said that the local level conspiracies were already investigated in respective cases, which includes nine cases probed by the SIT under the supervision of the Supreme Court.

Dismissing the petition, the apex court said that doubting the wisdom of the court would be a travesty of justice, because the entire investigation was completed by the SIT under the supervision and monitoring of the court.

The bench also agreed with the SIT lawyer that Zakia Jafri has been changing goalposts regularly. While she earlier alleged a ‘larger conspiracy’ based on Tehelka tapes and the claims of Sanjeev Bhatt and Haren Pandya, after the SIT found those claims baseless, she changed her position saying “there can be no direct evidence regarding larger conspiracy”.

Dismissing the claims of a larger conspiracy, the court said, “This argument, we unhesitatingly opine, is nothing short of red herring.” The judgement further added, “What has been conveniently glossed over is that, to make out a case of larger criminal conspiracy, it is essential to establish a link indicative of meeting of minds of the concerned persons for commission of the crime(s), committed during the relevant period across the State including the heart-rending episode unfolded at Godhra on 27.2.2002, in which large number of Kar-sevaks were burnt alive in train bogies”.

The court said that the SIT has proved the claims of Sanjeev Bhatt and Haren Pandya to be false, and also found how the state govt did their best to control the riots. The bench said that the statements of Bhatt, Pandya and one R B Sreekumar were only to sensationalise and politicise the issue, however the statements were replete with falsehood.

The Tehelka tapes refers to a sting operation the controversial magazine Tehelka had conducted five years after the 2002 Gujarat riots, which were aired in November 2007 on Aaj Tak. In the tapes, several Sangh Parivar activists had allegedly described that the Gujarat riots were pre-planned by Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal. However, the SIT had found that the tapes had no legal basis, and therefore they were not included in the evidence in the cases. Today the Supreme Court confirmed that the sting tapes are not legally valid.

This is not the first time the Supreme Court has rejected material produced by the left-liberal ecosystem who are trying to somehow implicate PM Narendra Modi in the Gujarat riots cases. Earlier, the apex court had refused to consider the book ‘Gujarat Files’ authored by controversial journalist Rana Ayyub in the proceedings. The court had thrashed the book saying that it was based upon surmises, conjectures, and suppositions.

In fact, the claims made by Rana Ayyub in her book are so questionable that even the extreme leftist publications had also refused to publish it, and eventually Ayyub had published it herself. The book was based on a sting operation Rana Ayyub had supposedly conducted, but she has not published the videos still now.

Journalist Madhu Tehran had revealed that she had offered to publish the tapes on Tehelka, but Rana Ayyub had refused.

Gautam Adani and his family’s donation of Rs 60,000 crore to be used in the fields of healthcare, education, and skill development

On the occasion of the 60th birthday of Adani Group’s chairman Gautam Adani, he and his family decided to donate Rs 60,000 crore for social causes. The Adani Foundation will administer this corpus for various social causes.

According to reports, the Adani Foundation will oversee the donations, which will be used to support healthcare, education, and skill development. Gautam Adani said, “This is one the largest transfers made to a foundation in the Indian corporate history. This commitment also honors the birth centenary year of my father Shantilal Adani.”

A statement released by the Adani group said, “To utilize the potential of India’s demographic advantage, there is an ever-growing need to focus on the areas of healthcare, education, and skill development. The shortfalls in each of these areas are roadblocks to an ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat.’ The Adani Foundation has gained rich experience in working with communities focused on integrated development efforts across all these areas. Addressing these challenges can significantly enhance the competence and competitiveness of our future workforce.”

Providing more details on the donations to be made, Gautam Adani said, “In addition to being the 100th birth anniversary of my inspiring father, this year also happens to be the year of my 60th birthday and therefore the family decided to contribute Rs. 60,000 crores towards charitable activities related to healthcare, education, and skill development, especially in the rural regions of our nation.”

He added, “We will invite three expert committees in the coming months to formalize strategy and decide the allocation of funds in these three areas. The committees will have members from the Adani family in supporting roles.”

Gautam Adani further said, “At a very fundamental level, programs related to all these three areas should be seen holistically and they collectively form the drivers to build an equitable and future-ready India. Our experience in large project planning and execution and the learnings from the work done by the Adani Foundation will help us uniquely accelerate these programs.”

The Adani group, which began as a modest agri-trading company in 1988, has grown into a conglomerate that engages in green energy, airports, data centers, cement, mining, logistics, and power generation. Gautam Adani is currently Asia’s richest person.

Man threatens to kill Yogi Adityanath and bomb Gorakhnath Temple; propagandists use his Hindu identity to hide his links to anti-Hindu outfit Bhim Army

Earlier today, a few journalists gloated upon the discovery that the man who operated under Muslim aliases such as ‘Rashid’ and ‘Suleman’, and had threatened to kill UP CM Yogi Adityanath and bomb Gorakhnath Temple turned out to be a Hindu, identified as ‘Sonu Singh’.

Soon after it was revealed that the man who had threatened to blow up the Gorakhnath Temple and vowed to kill UP CM Yogi Adityanath turned out to be a Hindu, several propagandists, including some notable journalists, took to Twitter to share the development, although with limited details about the case, with information inconvenient to their propaganda conveniently left out.

Ashraf Hussain, a journalist by profession, took to Twitter to insinuate that the case was a conspiracy to defame Muslims. He stated that Sonu Singh created the ‘Lady Don’ account and used Muslim aliases for threatening bomb blasts at the Gorakhnath Temple.

Another ‘journalist’, Ranvijay Singh, who has written for dubious organisations such as IndiaSpend, a firm that infamously commissioned a hate tracker that was strongly biased against the Hindu victims and twisted facts to reinforce Muslim victimhood, also partook in this exercise of sharing incomplete information about the ‘Sonu Singh’ case.

Several other social media users too shared partial information about the case to allege how Hindu criminals took up fake identities to defame Muslims.

Ironically, these social media users, including Ashraf and Ranvijay, have been evidently mute on the rising cases of love jihad, when Muslim men feign Hindu identities to entrap Hindu women into relationships and then pressurise them into embracing Islam.

Propagandists conveniently conceal Sonu Singh’s links to Bhim Army

Nevertheless, in this case, the propagandists carefully omitted to mention a key detail about ‘Sonu Singh’, who was caught issuing death threats against UP CM Yogi Adityanath and had threatened to bomb Gorakhnath Temple. While Ashraf, Ranvijay and others focused their attention on Sonu assuming Muslim identities, they refused to highlight that Sonu Singh is a member of the ‘Bhim Army’.

On February 4 this year, a Twitter handle named Lady Don threatened to blow up Gorakhnath Temple and kill CM Yogi Adityanath. In the first tweet, it was written that a bomb was planted on the UP assembly in Lucknow, railway station and bus stand.

The account further mentioned that Bhim Sena President Seema Singh will kill the Chief Minister by posing as a human bomb. In the subsequent tweet, Lady Don said that Suleman Bhai planted a bomb at eight places in Gorakhnath Math, and the CM’s rags will fly away.

After the tweet, the police registered a case against the threatening person and started investigating the matter. Investigation revealed that Lady Don is not a woman but a man, identified as Sonu Singh, a resident of Ahmedpur under Sirsaganj police station area of Firozabad district, and a member of Bhim Army.

Bhim Army and its questionable antecedents

Bhim Army, which touts itself as an ‘Ambedkarite’ and Dalit rights organisation, is an outfit that often partners with Islamists to indulge in anti-Hindu activities. It had famously thrown its weight behind the anti-CAA protests in India against a law that fast-tracked the citizenship process of religious persecuted minorities from three neighbouring countries of Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan who have come to India as refugees before December 31, 2014.

In September 2021, social media websites were awash with a video of the Bhim Army woman president Seem Singh wherein she had threatened to bomb UP CM Yogi Adityanath. Bhim Army was also named in the Hathras riots conspiracy. In June 2021, an audio of a Bhim Army member vowing to rape upper-caste girls had gone viral. A year before that, abusive and vile tweets against BJP leaders by Bhim Army chief Chandra Shekhar Aazad had stormed the internet, provoking demands for his suspension from the microblogging platform.

How PM Modi riles liberal elites: The choice of Droupadi Murmu, the frustration of the cabal and the dangerous games they might play

PM Modi has done it again! He manages to do things that leave our liberal elites seething in anger, but unable to directly attack his actions. They vent their frustration in many ways. Often, they take it out on him by choosing an entirely different arena.

The choice of Droupadi Murmu, a tribal leader who has grown from the grassroots, has riled them as well. We will see why and how the ecosystem may plan its revenge.

NDTV’s initial coverage of the story is a study in ‘propaganda’. In fact, reading our liberal websites and magazines should be compulsory for anyone interested in researching political propaganda and hatchet jobs disguised as “journalism”. Not able to attack BJP directly, it refers to President Kovind’s choice as “Bihar Governor Ram Nath Kovind, who happened to be a Dalit”. In other words, it wants to mention Bihar Governor and Dalit in the same breath, and does not want to credit BJP with choosing a Dalit! In fact, the person that wrote it or the editor thinks it is so clever, that it is repeated in the headline to give it more punch!

You see, Kovind was Bihar Governor that happened to be Dalit, not a Dalit that happened to be Bihar Governor – a position that Modi gets to fill as well. After all, Bihar Governors have a natural claim to Presidency nominations so his being Dalit was a mere coincidence!

Of course, when you play with words there are many a way to escape. You can talk about “context”, “nuance” etc., and take full benefit of plausible deniability. And of course, abuse the person questioning as a Sanghi, troll or whatever words that comes to their mind.

Let us turn to the question of why elite liberals hate Modi for choosing “outsiders” that don’t belong.

Modi himself was attacked relentlessly by the ecosystem of Stalinists, Beijing’s serfs, Islamists and brown-nosed coolies of corrupt fascist families that control the “liberal” narratives in India. One elite leftist “journalist”, Malini Parthasarathy said she would not want someone that can’t speak English in that position. Obviously, she must have been impressed with Deve Gowda or Charan Singh’s enthralling audience with perfect Queen’s English and wants the standards not to be lowered. Of course, Manmohan saheb can speak any language because saying nothing is the same in Telugu, Swahili, or French.

We often come across assorted low-life critters crawling out of rocks and blackwater tanks of Janpath to abuse Modi in other ways, including his alleged lack of knowledge on western cutlery. The point is always the same – he is not one of ours, he cannot rule. No matter what the majority of Indians that voted to say. Of course, selective, temporary exemptions are granted to rustic leaders from cow belt, who don’t care about English or vinglish, provided table scrap of their loot is also shared “fairly” and doesn’t in any way impede the main loot in Delhi.

The answer to the question of WHY they behave this way is quite simple.

Firstly, these abuses and elitist contempt for merit, far from disqualifying them, act like stamps in the Starbucks cards that you can trade for more coffee. In this case, it is a passport to many juicy gigs, chances to write Op-Eds in western “liberal” rags, global NGO gigs, dollar flow into fundraisers and “investments” from favoured moneybags in your online rag. Membership has its benefits.

Secondly, many of our so-called journalists are dynasts themselves or have benefited from the corrupt, nepotist, cronyism-ridden, mutual back-scratching network of left-liberal elites. Merits or talent had nothing to do with it. It goes without saying that practically all of them are from upper castes as well. So don’t be surprised if they root for an upper-class dynast from a similar background.

Some of them were simply born into the job. Papa and gramps was a journalist, so am I. Many of them are some connected or favoured babu’s daughter, liberal neta’s brother or wife or girlfriend etc. Since they control the ecosystem and the awards that go with it, close ties to powers don’t make them officially biased at all. They are still fearlessly independent and “speak truth to power” depending on who is in the power of course. They will get upset if you question their independence. While anyone that was seen at a bus stop standing next to a BJP leader becomes “Sanghi” for life, these elites are just journalists. They don’t have to explain their conflict of interests or even disclose them. You are a troll if you question.

You may have noticed – they often must quote their drivers or maids when discussing the problems of the subaltern because they themselves have not experienced even one skipped a meal or one job application that was turned down! They romanticise the dynasty era and its shortages and depravity because they were not the ones that stood in mile-long ration shop queues or suffered day-long power cuts if there was electricity at all. As someone sarcastically put it, you waited five years for the phone and fifteen minutes for a dial tone. You can’ go to a shop and buy an HMT watch or a Bajaj scooter. You need to wait or have connections. Like their annadatas, they too studied overseas or in good schools and colleges and came back to lecture us on the “idea of India”.

Meritocracy is alien to them and must oppose it tooth and nail as it endangers not just them but the entire ecosystem. It is like an alien species of weed or predator imported and starts wreaking havoc as the native ones are not adapted to them. It sends a bad signal to Dalits and tribals that they should demand real powerful jobs not just the posts like floor leader of House etc that the Prince Regent thinks he is too good for.

Let us now turn to ‘HOW’ – after all, some things are not easy to oppose or take on directly. Other ways must be found. Attacking BJP for choosing a Dalit affects their carefully constructed façade of sympathy for the subaltern. As we mentioned, most are upper-caste elites and therefore depend on their political loyalties and obedience to the “cause” to wipe clean their own privileged lives and fast-track careers and thus attack others for being anti-Dalit.

So, the choice of Kovind for the highest job was “dealt with” in a variety of ways – not talking about it, blacking it out, attributing other reasons, cynicism etc. But such was the anger that unless I am mistaken, Madame never visited him once for courtesy, except to present memos and demands. Her coolies in the media have never said anything good about that man, who too rose to the highest office from a humble background. Contrast that with comparing Kanhaiya to Mahatma Gandhi and Rahul to the Mahatma for his “splendid speech”! It is not as if these boot lickers were short of words.

The choice of Murmu presents the same problem. And it will be dealt with in the exact same way. Propaganda, snide remarks, tangential attacks, outright lies and half-truths. And of course, selective blackouts.

So don’t be surprised if attacks are launched on Modi and BJP from totally unexpected flanks. Some of these tried and tested weapons are still potent. All it takes is to get someone to throw a stone at some place of worship to start a global cycle of outrage that goes all the way to Biden or UNSC. Having tasted victory through street power, burning trains, violence and anarchy, that is yet another open route.

You can even expect tribals to be incited through well trained leftist liberal networks to nullify this choice.

The ecosystem is scared. They will lash out. It is best if both the government and the people are prepared.

Khap leaders in Haryana threaten to socially isolate those who apply for Agnipath scheme while Muslim outfit asks mosques to promote it in Kanpur

Amid the ongoing protest against the Centre’s Agnipath Scheme, some Khap Panchayats in Haryana called for a social boycott of all those who would apply for the scheme. The leaders of the Khap Panchayat also declared a boycott of politicians from the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party-Jananayak Janata Party combine and of corporate houses that have supported the scheme.

According to the reports, a meeting of the leaders of Khap Panchayat and other community leaders took place in the Rohtak district of Haryana. Leaders from Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, and some of the student organizations also participated in the meeting.

Om Prakash Dhankar, the Chairperson of this meeting stated on the behalf of the Khap Panchayat that people from society who would try to apply for this scheme would be socially isolated and boycotted. “We are boycotting this scheme which wants young people to be hired as labourers in the name of being an Agniveer”, the chairperson added.

The leaders also appealed to the people to oppose the leaders of the BJP and Jananayak Janata Party and those corporate houses that have extended their support to the scheme. This is a day after corporate businesspersons including Vedanta’s Anil Agarwal, Anand Mahindra, Harsh Goenka, Dr Sangita Reddy, Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, and Sanjeev Bikhchandani backed the scheme. The businesspersons promised to open job opportunities for young trained and skilled men and women after their 4-year stint in the Agniveer scheme.

Reiterating that the community will keep its distance from youngsters who apply for the Agnipath Scheme, Dhankar added that the Centre must take back the scheme. He also cited the reports of a boycott of Indian products in the Gulf countries after the Nupur Sharma controversy and urged the people to similarly not buy any products of over Rs 10,000 from the corporate companies who supported the Agnipath Scheme.

It is important to note that the decision of some of the Khap Panchayat to oppose the Agnipath Scheme comes as a contrast to the response from the Muslim community and several Muslim outfits have decided to popularise the Central Scheme. Reports mention that the Association of Muslim Professionals (AMP) in Kanpur has appealed to Muslim youths to apply to join the military services under the scheme. The outfit has also urged the imams of the city mosques to popularize the Central scheme during the Friday khutbas (sermons).

Agnipath scheme was rolled out by the Centre on June 14 for recruitment into the Army, Navy and Air Force earlier this month. Selected applicants will be called Agniveers and enrolled under respective Services Acts for four years. The monthly salary of an Agniveer in the first year of employment will be Rs 30,000, of which Rs 21,000 will be in-hand and Rs 9,000 will go to a corpus with an equal contribution from the government. Monthly salary in the second, third and fourth year will be Rs 33,000, Rs 36,500 and Rs 40,000 respectively.

Dear ‘journalists, Bollywood Divas and assorted intellectuals: The Maharashtra fiasco is not a ‘murder of democracy’, stop living in fool’s paradise

Dear “journalists”, Bollywood left divas and assorted “intellectuals”,

You have been beating your breasts and crying out aloud over the events of the past week.

Yes, it has been a disappointing week. Your carefully constructed façade of “best CM” who is an “able administrator” has come crashing. Who was the last able administrator that didn’t even know what most of his own MLAs are thinking?

And instead of confronting the truth, you have sought refuge in familiar lies – that democracy has been murdered and MLAs are “for sale” and “people’s verdict doesn’t matter”. You may want to wipe your brown noses (Tharoor™) and smell the real world.

No democracy is not being murdered this week. It was murdered when the winning alliance was broken and losers punished by people were made winners in a backroom deal. It was murdered when a family’s naked ambition for power and desire to promote another Pappu to perpetuate it resulted in the sacrifice of principles, insulting hundreds of grassroots leaders that worked for them.

In fact, in essence, Shiv Sena is being de-dynastified. This was not the first time in politics this happens. After all, this is how Jayalalitha defeated M N Janaki, wife of MGR and CBN took over the party from NTR’s nearest kin.

Leaders that joined Balasaheb for an ideology, however much you may hate it, can’t see it reduced to another Congress. After all, not all parties are filled with Mani Shankar Aiyars, Digvijayas and Jairam Rameshs.

Principles were murdered when you started dishing out certificates of secularism as soon as he emerged after a dip in the tank at 10JP. That’s when the Sanghis like us came to know there’s something more powerful than a dip in the Ganges. And we all know the reasons for such dramatic transformation of Shiv Sena from, as you yourself often said, a party of thugs to liberal progressives, was, to quote Sherlock Holmes, largely metallic.

Hypocrisy became as abundant as Terra Luna tokens when corrupt yellow journalists and charlatans amongst you started praising him as the best CM even before he did any real work.

And in the “opinion” of some of you, he was supposed to have handled COVID efficiently and “set an example” and “shows how easy it is to manage” – a certificate you issued even before we had cases in triple digits. And kept repeating that lie even as MH inched towards #1 in case numbers and deaths – then you started saying “he handled COVID well despite a high number of cases and deaths”. Viola! Heads you win, tails also you win! He could do no wrong. I did not see any of you corrupt frauds running around cremation grounds, video cameras in hand, or rural hospitals in MH invading the privacy of the sick and the mourning.

You chased after poor migrant workers that were chased out on hot and dusty roads, for TRP and sob stories, to attack Yogi, but not the prosperous states, including MH, that chased them out at moment’s notice without even food or water – that was your idea of “speaking truth to power”. I have a different name for it, but it is unprintable. I can whisper into your ears though.

All because Uddhav Thackeray declared obedience to you-know-who and kowtowed, just like you do. He attacked Modi day in and day out, even in alliance, but dared not say one word against the famiglia as he perfectly understands true fascism and the consequences of taking it on.

All he had to do was open his mouth and you leftists and “fearless journalists” started clapping and dared not to be the one to stop first. Just like your comrade pals overseas did with mass murderers and rapist savages like Stalin and Mao and Ceausescu. Go read your tweets!

Some of you were happy as the MVA regime went slow on crucial infrastructure projects, effectively killing them just out of spite – essentially doing the job you specialize in. After all, many of you travel first class to seminars in London or Paris, posting happy selfies, and live on fake fundraisers, why do you care about whether ordinary Mumbaikar gets to ride a public train.

How many of you were honest to admit, other than Uddhav Thackeray and his son, other Sainiks just stood to lose, even if they managed to get ministerial berths for now? After all, there is no way NCP-Congress will allow them to contest 100+ seats in the next poll! But then you are long used to presenting one family’s interest as above that of state, nation and everything else.

An alliance where each of the parties, with roughly the same number of MLAs, took turns holding the CM chair would have been more balanced, but that did not suit the ambition of UT. He had to wring the CM chair out of the dynasts, something BJP did not allow itself to be blackmailed into. In the process throwing his party as well as his comrades under the bus, destroying its long-term future. But you didn’t care. As long as it heralds the return of dynastic loot in Delhi and the good ol’ days when you lived on the table scrap. Now you are talking principles and outraging!

You are busy pretending as if Shinde was the first leader to check into a star hotel or resort, busy telling us how much each room costs – but then we know what you were doing when similar things were done by your friends.

Carry on, live in your fool’s paradise and velvet-lined echo chambers. Accumulate more brown(ie) points. The families deserve you as much as you deserve them.

The people know better.

‘Uddhav Thackeray should also come to Assam on vacation’: CM Himanta Biswa Sarma says all MLAs of all states are welcome

As the Eknath Shinde camp of the Shiv Sena MLAs has chosen the Hotel Radisson Blu of Guwahati to stay at, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has invited Uddhav Thackeray to Guwahati on a vacation. Himanta Biswa Sarma said so when he was asked about the rebel Shiv Sena MLAs staying in the hotel at Guwahati.

While speaking to ANI, Himanta Biswa Sarma said, “I heard from you only that more MLAs are reaching Guwahati. I invite all the MLAs in the country to come and stay in Assam.” In response to this, the ANI reporter asked Himanta Biswa Sarma’s reaction to the allegations by opposition the Assam Chief Minister is disturbing the federal structure by allowing rebel Shiv Sena MLAs to stay in his state.

Himanta Biswa Sarma said, “How does this have anything to do with federal structure? How can I ban the people from coming and staying in hotels in our state? Tomorrow if you book a hotel and I prohibit you and say that there is a federal structure in the country and so you don’t come to the hotel in Assam, will it be fine? Will you call it a federal structure?”

Himanta Biswa Sarma further said, “I don’t know how many days will they stay there but whatever number of days they spend in Assam, I will be happy for that. They should stay there. I invite everyone to Assam. Everyone should come to Assam.”

When asked for his message to Uddhav Thackeray, Himanta Biswa Sarma said, “He should also come to Assam on vacation.”

Earlier, Himanta Biswa Sarma had expressed his welcoming gesture for the rebel Shiv Sena MLAs to Assam and said, “If Guwahati becomes the political epicentre of all the states, centre or even foreign countries, I will welcome it.”

Himanta Biswa Sarma had said, “This is the time the state govt needs money. If the hotel rooms are full at this time, we will get a tax. We have good hotels in Guwahati now, there is Radisson, there is Taj, therefore everyone should come to Guwahati so that business in the city increases. One person staying in a hotel means we will get GST, we will earn.”
