He went to stop them, Hindus listened to him, Muslims dragged and killed him: Ankit Sharma’s brother talks to OpIndia

While the Delhi anti-Hindu riots rage on, the country woke up to disturbing news on 26th January. An Intelligence Bureau (IB) officer, Ankit Sharma, had been brutally murdered and his tortured remains were recovered from a nearby drain. Some said that the IB officer was mercilessly thrown after the murder during the Delhi anti-Hindu riots, others alleged that the body was hidden so it would not be recovered.

The family of Ankit Sharma had been looking for him since Tuesday. His father, Ravinder Sharma, is also head constable in the Intelligence Bureau. Ankit Sharma had joined the IB in 2017. As per reports, his rank was ‘security assistant’.

Ravinder Sharma had held the Aam Admi Party responsible for his son’s brutal murder. As it emerged, AAP Corporator Tahir Hussain is smack in the middle of this brutal saga where Ankit, a young, dedicated IB officer was brutally murdered.

Hindu residents of Moonga Nagar area of Chand Bagh have levelled serious allegations against AAP Corporator Mohammed Tahir Hussain. As per the residents, the Muslim mob operated from Hussain’s house to unleash their carnage. Eyewitnesses have said that Ankit Sharma was dragged in the house that belongs to Tahir Hussain, AAP MLA, by a Muslim mob along with two others. Images and footage of Tahir Hussain himself wielding a laathi have emerged along with the rooftop of his house, littered with stones and petrol bombs.

Ankit Sharma’s brother has also maintained in his various conversations with the media that his brother was murdered by Tahir Hussain and a Muslim mob that was working under his command.

The road outside Tahir Hussain’s 4-storey house bears testament to their version of events. One can hardly make out that beneath the stones, alcohol bottles presumably used as petrol bombs, crates and empty boxes of petrol, there once lay a road. In front of Tahir Hussain’s building, one can see a “Piyaoo” (water drinking station) with his name on it. From the facade that Tahir Hussain had created, it was hard to fathom that something so sinister would be afoot inside that 4-storey building.

In order to whitewash the heinous murder of Ankit Sharma, on Wednesday, the Wall Street Journal (WSJ) published a report titled, “India’s Ruling Party, Government Slammed Over Delhi Violence”. In its report, the WSJ claims that Ankur Sharma, the brother of the deceased IB officer allegedly said to them that the rioters had come armed with stones, rods, knives, and even swords, and shouted slogans ‘Jai Shri Ram’ before attacking his brother Ankit Sharma. As per WSJ’s assertions, Ankur Sharma accused Hindu groups of attacking his brother Ankit Sharma, who was later found brutally murdered in Delhi.

Speaking to OpIndia, Ankur flatly refuted this quote. “I have never said this madam, the people who murdered my brother were not shouting Jai Shree Ram”, he said.

With a heavy, distressed voice Ankur told me the chilling sequence of events that led to the brutal murder of his brother, IB sleuth Ankit Sharma. Ankur said that his brother, a dedicated government official who worked for IB was on duty. After leaving the house early morning for work, he returned in the evening. He parked his bike in front of the house, and without even entering the house said that he knows the people in the area and wanted to convince them to stop rioting. “Usne kaha main in logo ko jaanta hu, ye meri baat sun lenge” (He said I know these people personally, they will listen to me), said Ankur.

Despite his family telling him not to go and let the police handle the situation, Ankit, an on-duty IB officer, crossed the lane where he resided and went to speak to both sides – Hindus and Muslims.

Ankur tells me that when Ankit went to speak to the Hindus and Muslims, he specifically identified himself as an IB officer. He thought that if he identifies himself as such, people would be more willing to trust him and stop.

As it turns out, that was not the case. Ankur, Ankit’s brother said that when he spoke to the Hindus, the Hindus retreated immediately, however, the Muslim side had different plans. Hearing that Ankit was an IB officer enraged them even more. While the Hindus stopped, the Muslim mob mobilised further and caught hold of Ankit. He says that the Muslim mob then started dragging him to Tahir Hussain’s house, the AAP corporator. While Ankit was being dragged inside by the Muslim mob, from the 4 storey building belonging to Tahir Hussain, stones started raining down on everyone below.

Read: Delhi riots: Petrol Bombs, crates of stones found stored on AAP councillor Tahir Hussain’s rooftop

In fact, it was not just stones that rained down. Ankur says that along with stones, petrol bombs and even gunshots were being rained own by the Islamists from inside Tahir Hussain’s building.

According to Ankur, this was being done so nobody would attempt to rescue Ankit. As soon as Ankit started being dragged inside the house, Hindus ran to rescue Ankit, however, they were fended off by the rain of stones, petrol bombs and bullets.

“Unhone Ratan Lal ko bhi maara, DCP ko zakhmi kiya, ye log police ke logon ko maar rahe hai. Ankit ne apne aap ko IB officiial bataya, isiliye maar giraya”, Ankur told me.

It was only later that they felt something untoward had happened with Ankit. While the FIR was filed late at night, the next day, his mutilated body was recovered from the drain.

Ankur has not seen his brother’s mutilated body yet. When he spoke to OpIndia, he was in his native village, waiting for Ankit’s mortal remains to be brought to perform the last rights.

“I have to take care of my family, didi. They are broken. He was everyone’s favourite. He was friendly and always willing to help. They killed him and now we don’t know how to handle ourselves”, he said.

“It was Tahir Hussain who killed him, didi. He is the head of the riots here. He is conducting the riots. He was directing the Musalmans who dragged him inside the house. Arvind Kejriwal will paint my brother as a rioter, didi. He was not a rioter. He was a government official who had gone there to convince people to stop fighting. He knew people from both sides. He is a Shaheen”, Ankur said distressed.

When asked for financial details for anyone who would like to help, Ankur said that they are first trying to give Shaheen Ankur Sharma the last rights he deserved and would find out about legitimate account details later.

“Help us get Shaheen status for Ankur, he was not a rioter, Arvind Kejriwal will try to prove he was one”, were his last words before Ankur left to wait for his brutally murdered brother’s mortal remains, to perform his last rights.

Ankit’s body had several deep knife cuts on his throat and sides. He had been tortured before he was killed, Ankur said. Shaheed Ankit Singh – a man murdered by Islamists – was just doing his job.

Islamists chopped his limbs, burnt him alive: Dilwar Singh’s family narrates horror of Delhi’s anti-Hindu riots

The riots that gripped several parts of Northeast Delhi has engulfed the lives of more than 30 people. Three more people died during treatment at the Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital in New Delhi.

While the count is still on, the brutality unleashed by Islamist rioters during the Delhi riots on one youth named Dilwar Singh has probably gone unnoticed by sections of media and the Delhi police. A young man from Uttarakhand living in Shahdara, Delhi, who according to GTB hospital data died of burn injuries, was actually brutally hacked to death by the rioters on the evening of 23 February.

People close to Dilwar Singh established contact with Opindia about four days after the incident. They revealed that Singh, a resident of Thalisain Block located in Pauri district of Uttarakhand, was on the evening of 23 February burnt alive by the rioters who first brutally chopped off his limbs before throwing him into a shop gutted in fire.

The aggrieved family member told OpIndia that they somehow saved themselves from the frenzied mob but could not save Dilwar Singh. The incident has left the family devastated.

Another person, Shyam Singh, who was present at the scene of the crime with the deceased Dilwar managed to escape from there. According to the information received, the body of the deceased Dilwar Singh has been kept in Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital.

Shyam Singh, a resident of village Ida in Uttarakhand, confirmed that all the papers and identity documents of Dilwar Singh were burnt to ashes in the incident.

The protests against CAA hit the streets of Delhi in the middle of December last year, which led to riots in Seelampur-Jamia and other parts of the country. The Islamist mob set ablaze, destroyed and Vandalised crores of public property in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and West Bengal.

The Islamists took the agitation further with the Shaheen Bagh sit-in protests including women and Children against CAA and NRC, that was expected to meet an end after mediation by supreme court lawyers but the protestors continues there, with additional protesters gathered at Jaffrabad Metro station, further leading to the violent clashes among groups and the police.

The death toll of the Delhi riots has reached to over 30 including policeman Ratan Lal, and more than 200 people are injured. On Wednesday, the fury in ecosystem mounted when IB officer Ankit Sharma was found murdered in a drain in North-east Delhi amidst the communal riots.

Today the Delhi Commissioner of Police, Amulya Patnaik said that the situation in Delhi under control, as normalcy is coming back to the areas affected by the clashes.

Here is how every claim made by left-liberals and opposition on justice Muralidhar’s transfer is a lie

In yet another example of blatant fake news peddled by left-wing intellectuals and journalists, today a large number of such people accused the union government of transferring justice S Muralidhar from Delhi High Court to Punjab & Haryana High court a day after he made scathing remarks on the govt and the Delhi police in a midnight hearing on Delhi riots. A notification issued by the Law ministry transferring Justice Muralidhar was widely circulated on social media, with the insinuation that govt has transferred him in retaliation to his critical remarks against the govt.

The Congress party launched an attack on the government over the issue, alleging that govt wanted to remove justice Muralidhar from the Delhi riots case so that BJP leaders accused in the case are protected. Congress spokesperson Randeep Singh Surjewal called it a hit and run show by the Modi govt to “save the perpetrators of hate”. Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra tweeted that, “The midnight transfer of Justice Muralidhar isn’t shocking given the current dispensation, but it is certainly sad & shameful”. Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi also joined the blame game, who tweeted, “Remembering the brave Judge Loya, who wasn’t transferred”.

There are two lies that Congress and other left-liberals are peddling in the matter. First, the Union Government didn’t transfer Justice Muralidhar after an overnight decision. His transfer was recommended by the Supreme Collegium on February 12 itself, and the law ministry merely issued the notification as per the decision of the collegium. It may be noted that transfers and appointment in the higher judiciary are in the hand of the Collegium, and the govt has no role in it. Apart from justice Muralidhar, the SC Collegium had also recommended the transfer of justice Ranjit C More from Bombay to Meghalaya High Court, and justice Ravi V Malimath from Karnataka to Uttarakhand High Court.

SC Collegium recommendation of transfer of 3 judges

Reacting to the baseless allegation, law minister Ravi Shankar Prasad tweeted that the transfer was done as per recommendation dated 12.02.2020 of the Supreme Court collegium headed by Chief Justice of India. He also informed that before transferring the judge, his consent was taken, and well-settled process in such matters have been followed.

The law minister also responded to Rahul Gandhi’s justice Loya reference, and said that the Loya judgement has been well settled by the Supreme Court already. “By politicising a routine transfer, Congress has yet again displayed its scant regard for the judiciary. People of India have rejected Congress Party and hence it is hell bent on destroying the very institutions India cherishes by constantly attacking them”, he said.

The second lie is that Justice Muralidhar was transferred to remove the hearing the Delhi riots case, because even if he was not transferred, he was not going to hear the case further. The reason is, the case was not originally listed for Justice Muralidhar’s court. The case was listed before the Chief Justice of the Delhi High Court, and justice Muralidhar had heard the case in urgency as the Chief Justice was absent on that day. The case was not transferred to his court, it remains listed under the CJ, so subsequently the case was to be heard by the CJ only, even if justice Muralidhar remains in Delhi High Court.

Delhi HC cause list

The cause list of the Delhi High Court for February 27 shows that the case will be heard by the Chief Justice at 2 PM.

After it became well known that justice Muralidhar has been transferred as per Supreme Collegium’s decision, some people tried another falsehood to attack the government. Leftist propagandist Prashant Bhushan, who is often seen spreading fake news, claimed that although the collegium had recommended the transfer of 3 judges after its February 12 meeting, the govt issued notification for transfer of Muralidhar only.

Prashant Bhushan’s tweet

He also claimed that while normally judges are given about 10 days in transfers, he has been transferred with immediate effect. The same claim was made by a number of social media users.

This is an absolute lie, as the union govt has issued three separate notifications for transfer of all three High Court judges as per the recommendation of the collegium. All three notifications were uploaded on the website of the department of justice last evening, therefore it is a lie that only justice Muralidhar has been transferred.

Transfer notification of all three judges on DoJ website

Moreover, although the 3 notifications do not mention any date of joining their new High Courts, the notifications do not say that the 3 judges are transferred with immediate effect. The notification merely says that the judge has been transferred and he has been directed to assume charge of his office in the respective High Court, without mentioning any time or saying that it has to be done immediately.

Although Prashant Bhushan later tweeted that notification for all three judges have been issued, he didn’t delete his original tweet, which has already 3.7 thousand retweets and 7.1 thousans like, which means the fake news contionues to be spread on social media.

It has also been reported that Justice Muralidhar has been transferred to Punjab and Haryana High Court to facilitate his elevation as the Chief Justice of the court. He is expetcted to become the Chief Justice after the current  Chief Justice Ravi Shanker Jha is elevated to the Supreme Court. Therefore, if the government had anything against Justice Muralidhar, it would not have issued the notification which will help in eventually getting promoted as a Chief Justice.

505 Gold coins found during renovation work at Jambukeswarar Temple in Tamil Nadu

The Jambukeswarar temple in Thiruvanaikovil, Tamil Nadu struck gold when 505 gold coins weighing 1.716 kg were found in a sealed vessel during digging.

As per officials, the coins were in a sealed pot that was spotted by workers near the Akhilandeshwari Shrine. When the temple officials opened it they found 505 gold coins. The coins are yet to be examined by the archaeologists to understand their age and history. As per reports, the pot was found at a depth of almost 7 feet.

According to sources, the temple, considered to be over a 1000 years old, was undergoing a renovation process in a periodic manner. The temple management had decided to clear vegetation off the Valai Kottam located opposite of the Ambal Sannidhi and develop a Nandhavanam (flower garden). The brass pot consisting of gold coins was extracted by curious workers who opened the lid and found gold coins filled to the rim. The information was later passed on to District Administration.

Srirangam Tahsildar came to the temple to examine the find, which weighed about 1.716 grams. As the coins have historical inscriptions and symbols the archaeology department will be conducting tests to ascertain their age and history.

The Akilandeswari Samedha Jambukeswarar temple is believed to have been constructed 1800 years ago by Chola Chieftain Kotchengannan (Prince with red eyes). The temple is in the Srirangam island where the famous Ranganathaswamy temple is located.

This is believed that the temple received many donations over a period of time that includes silver Vahanams, gold ornaments and immovable properties. The temple has a majestic complex, complete with courts, towers, and ponds.

Currently, the gold treasure is kept at the treasury for safekeeping.

AAP convenor who referred to murdered IB official Ankit Sharma as ‘thulla’ kicked out of party

The Aam Aadmi Party has now suspended one of its leader Mayur Panghaal for making derogatory remarks against the brutal murder of Intelligence Bureau official Ankit Sharma. He had referred to him as ‘thulla’ and said that he would never feel sorry for death of a ‘thulla’.

Mayur Panghaal’s ‘thulla’ remark on Facebook

Following the severe condemnation, the Maharashtra unit of Aam Aadmi Party on Thursday came up with a Facebook post stating that Mayur Panghaal was suspended from the party and relieved from all the posts with immediate effect. The AAP Maharashtra called the remarks of Panghaal as ‘callous and provocative’.

“It has come to the party’s notice that Mayur Panghaal, from Navi Mumbai, has made callous, uncalled for and provocative remarks. His views are his alone and he does not speak on behalf of the party. He is immediately relieved from all posts and suspended from the primary membership of the party with immediate effect,” said the post.

Further, the AAP claimed that it had highest regard for martyrs and will not tolerate any insult to them. “We condemn the ghastly murder of late Shri Ankit Sharma, security assistant of IB, and we are with his family in this moment of grief,” the AAP added.

On Wednesday, Aam Aadmi Party leader Mayur Panghaal had taken to Facebook to comment on the brutal murder of Intelligence Bureau official Ankit Sharma in the Delhi anti-Hindu riots. In a status update, referring to Sharma as a ‘thulla’, Panghaal said, “So a thulla called Ankit Sharma was found in the gutter today. Somehow I can’t feel sorry for any dead thulla so spare me the elegy.”

‘Thulla’ is a derogatory term used to refer to policemen. Earlier, AAP national convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, too, had referred to Delhi Police as ‘thulla‘.

Panghaal works as a joint convener, Aam Aadmi Party, Navi Mumbai for Belapur constituency. He manages the AAP Facebook page for Belapur constituency. His posts over the years have been consistently pro-Aam Aadmi Party. He has now deactivated his Facebook and Twitter accounts.

Earlier on Wednesday, the dead body of an Intelligence Bureau constable was recovered from a drain in North East Delhi amidst anti-Hindu riots in the national capital. Ankit Sharma, who lived in Chand Bagh, was returning home on Tuesday evening when he was allegedly attacked by a violent mob on the Chand Bagh bridge and beaten to death. The anti-CAA mob later threw his body was later into a drain.

Later, his body was recovered from a drain in Chand Bagh. It is believed that he was beaten to death and later, the mob disposed of his body by dumping it in the drain. Sharma’s father, Ravindra Sharma, who is also associated with the IB had reportedly held Aam Aadmi Party leader Tahir Hussain of murdering his son.

A day after murder allegations against AAP councillor Tahir Hussain, more videos and images emerged on Thursday showing crates of stones and petrol bombs stored at the rooftop of the AAP leader Tahir Hussain exposing direct link with the anti-CAA riots in Delhi.

Anti-CAA riots: Islamists defend petrol bombs and stones recovered from AAP leader Tahir Hussain’s roof, call it ‘self defence’

The role of Aam Aadmi Party leader -Tahir Hussain in the brutal murder of Intelligence Bureau (IB) employee Ankit Sharma and also inciting riots in the Delhi has now been under scanner. Day after Sharma’s family alleged his role in the riots and his murder, many crates of petrol bombs and stones have been found on the rooftop of the AAP leader.

As per multiple reports, petrol bombs, stones and bricks were stored on Hussain’s terrace raising questions about his role in the riots.

However, when media started reporting that, many Islamists and sympathisers took to Twitter to defend Hussain and referred to the petrol bombs and stones stored on his rooftop as ‘self defence’.

One social media user identifying himself as ‘Ladak’ claimed that Tahir Hussain was defending his family and his home. By bringing reference to Ehsan Jafri, who had shot few bullets to allegedly protect himself during Gujarat riots, Ladak claimed that Hussain was doing a similar act to protect his family.

Former Congress MP Ehsan Jafri lost his life in the Gulbarg society violence in 2002 Gujarat riots which broke out after a Muslim mob set a train compartment on fire in Godhra. The train was returning from Ayodhya and 59 people, most of them women and children, were burnt alive.

Another troll, Sidrah, also echoed similar propaganda as she tried to absolve murder accused Tahir Hussain. She too suggested that Tahir Hussain had stored bombs to protect himself from the mobs.

More social media users began to attack the journalists for exposing images of petrol bombs on the terrace of Tahir Hussain.

A social media user Rock accused journalists of baying Tahir Hussain’s blood and claimed that AAP leaders’ house was under the attack to claim that he had stored all those bombs for protecting himself.

The most bizarre statement in the defence of the AAP leader came from another social media user, who claimed that it was not even a petrol bomb, but bottles filled with Pepsi and boiling oil. He did not even bother acknowledging that those bottles are actually petrol bombs and not the stock of beverages found from the rooftop from a terrace party.

The massive expose of AAP leader Tahir Hussain comes at a time when the AAP and its leader are busy defending the murder accused by claiming that he was a victim of mob violence and was rescued only two days ago.

One cut off his own Kalawa, another, removed ‘Sri Ram’ sticker from his bike: A tale of Maujpur’s Dara Hua Hindus

‘Hindu ko maar rahe hai ji’, said Gopal while his shaky voice gave away what he truly felt – fear, uncertainly and unbridled pain – pain, of the Delhi anti-Hindu riots creating a situation where a devout man had to hide every symbol that gave away his religion.

On Wednesday morning, Gopal sat cleaning his bike. With a bucket of water that had almost turned grey with bits of papers floating on it. The cloth he used dripped with the tepid water that almost engulfed the windshield of his bike. Gopal, a towering figure at almost 6 feet almost never cleaned his bike. That job was given to his younger brother, Shiv. With a pensive look on his face, Gopal almost robotically kept scrubbing his now already clean bike.

While Gopal scrubbed his bike, his wife paced the house, aimlessly collecting small things and lining them all up on a large table. Bread. Her little Ganesha statue. A couple of towels. Their family photo. The papers to the house.

“I wanted to leave, but Jaffrabad is not far away. Beech main Masjid hi Masjid hai. Kaise jaye?”, she told me.

Jaya was not wrong. The Hindu majority area of Maujpur is surrounded by Mosques, which the Hindus of the area believe are instrumental in inciting violence against the community.

Google map of Maujpur along with its immediately surrounding areas

The anti-Hindu riots that have gripped Delhi, with Islamist mobs running a rampage, have several Hindus residing in the heart of the riots scared and helpless. Gopal stays in Maujpur with his family – his wife, his younger brother, his ageing mother and a 6-year-old daughter. Maujpur, which is essentially a Hindu dominated area saw widespread violence that essentially emanated from Jaffrabad, Brahmapuri neighbouring Muslim majority area.

While the riots raged on, a walking distance away from Gopal’s house, Vinod Kumar was mercilessly murdered on the night of 24th February. On his way to the medical shop on a bike along with his son, who escaped narrowly with serious injuries, Vinod Kumar was beaten and killed. Videos emerged where Vinod’s lifeless body was being dragged away from the spot where his bike was up in flames. In the distance, one could hear the chilling chants of a mob – Allah Hu Akbar, Nara e Taqbeer.

Read: Mohammad Shahrukh becomes ‘Anurag Mishra’. NDTV’s Ravish Kumar takes misinformation and conjectures to a whole new level

Vinod was killed by a murderous Islamist mob, according to his son, because of the Jai Shree Ram sticker on his bike. He said he saw no other reason for this unprovoked attack on his father and him.

In another video, one can hear the person shooting the video say, “Dekhiye, Muslimo ka ye haal, Hinduon ka kar diya jeena behaal. Ek laash bheji gayi hai Musalmano ki taraf se hamare Hindu bhai ki. Bhahampuri gali number ek mein. Le jao laash, aisi laashein uthengi poori raat, aisa sandesh diya hai…”.

Vinod and his family heard about the murder in horror on 25th. Within that 10 kilometre radius, the news of every death, every stone pelted, every dead body sent Hindu families scampering in horror, talking about their next course of action, if push comes to shove. Gopal’s family was no different.

While Gopal’s wife, gripped with fear, started collecting items she might need if they had to flee, Gopal, almost choking, started scrubbing off the Shri Ram sticker on his bike. ‘Chhoti bacchi hai meri, Vinod ka sunna na aapne, isko dekh ke (Shri Ram sticker on his bike) Mohammaden aa gaye to kya karenge’, he told me. “Aaj Hinduon ka ye haal hain ki Ram ka naam nahi le sakte, jala ke maar dete hai”, Gopal, with a heavy voice and a heavier heart said.

The Hindus in Maujpur are living in the constant fear of being attacked by the Islamist mob. Despite what the media is trying to project, the nature of the violence and Islamists targetting Hindus is a clear plot that emerges. According to Intelligence Agency reports, Islamist organisation PFI and Bhim Army have been suspected to be behind the anti-Hindu riots in these areas.

Not too far away from Maujpur, Ankit Sharma, IB sleuth was mercilessly tortured and murdered. He was allegedly dragged into AAP MLA Tahir Hussain’s house and was lynched to death by a Muslim mob. A journalist was shot at by Islamists in the Maujpur area itself. And Islamist Shahrukh had also opened fire in the Bhajanpura area, not far away from Shahdara.

While Gopal scrubbed his faith in Lord Ram from the windshield of his bike, in Chandbagh, from where IB sleuth Ankit Sharma’s body was recovered from a drain, another Hindu family lived in fear. Harsh, after hearing about the merciless lynching of Ankit Sharma, sat in his room and cut off his Kalawa – the red sacred thread his grandmother tied on his wrist every other day – for protection.

“The moli (Kalawa) that I tie for protection, can get me killed now, just like Ankit”, he told me, enraged. Oscillating between being overtaken with anger and overwhelming grief, Harsh raved against the “Mohammaden mob” that is now “turning Delhi into Syria”. “Humari yahi aukaar reh gayi hai ma’am, chhupte fire, sir jhuka ke jeena seekhe”, he says, with the volume of his voice increasing in the memory of his foregone Kalawa. “Mere dost ne apne Rudraksh hata diya, ma’am. Aastha kahi nahi jaate, par jaan bachani hai abhi”.

When asked how they planned to protect themselves, Harsh said that he sleeps with a knife under his bed and any stick that they could find is stacked next to every person in the family. “Behen betiyon ko bhi laathi pakdani padi hai. Mohammadan aayenge to sabse pehele unhe khatra hai. Hume maar denge to ya to wo bach le, ya khud ko maar le, aisa bola hai unhe”, he says.

Men prepared to die and women of the house prepared to fight or die themselves if the “Mohammaden mob” comes for them is a story not uncommon with Hindu families living in fear since the Delhi anti-Hindu riots broke out. The media, on the other hand, is busy in painting these riots as a pogrom against Muslims, incited by “rabid Hindus”. The very Hindus who are now being recovered from gutters are cutting off their Kalawa and wiping off any symbol of their faith that can make them a target to the Muslim mobs.

WSJ fabricates quotes by murdered IB official Ankit Sharma’s brother, puts blames on Hindu groups even as family blames AAP leader

The obnoxious one-sided false reportage by the western media pertaining to the anti-CAA riots in Delhi is not surprising anymore. In one such incident, the Wall Street Journal – another left-wing western media outlet, has misquoted murdered IB official Ankit Sharma’s brother and concocted a fake story around it.

On Wednesday, the Wall Street Journal (WSJ) published a report titled, “India’s Ruling Party, Government Slammed Over Delhi Violence”.

WSJ report on Ankit Sharma’s death

However, the claims made by WSJ is far from the truth as Ankur Sharma and his family have repeatedly blamed local AAP leader Tahir Hussain and his supporters for the murder of Ankit Sharma.

Speaking to Times Now, Ankur Sharma had alleged that at least 40-50 people associated with AAP leader Tahir Hussain took his brother and had murdered him. “They killed my brother and four-five others and threw them in the drain. They have recovered three more bodies from the drain. Tahir Hussain is behind the incident,” said Ankur Sharma

“We will not spare Tahir Hussain. He killed my brother. I want my brother back”, said one of the other family members as she expressed her deep anguish over her brother’s brutal murder.

Speaking to Zee News, Ankur Sharma said that the violence which erupted in Delhi resulting in the death of his brother. “It is the Muslims who are protesting against the CAA, NRC is behind the violence on the streets. My brother was dragged inside Tahir Hussain’s house, who was later found brutally murdered,” said Ankur Sharma.

Wall Street Journal blatantly misquoted Ankit Sharma’s brother and tried to blame Hindus for the murder of Sharma even when the family members have time and again accused AAP leader Tahir Hussain for the murder. Several eyewitnesses have also accounted that Ankit Sharma was lynched to death by a Muslim mob. Journalist Rahul Pandita managed to get hold of multiple eyewitnesses who saw the young officer being dragged inside a Hussain’s building by an enraged mob before his dead body was found lying in the drain.

Pandita had taken to Twitter to share his explosive findings. According to him, Hindu residents of Moonga Nagar area of Chand Bagh have leveled serious allegations against AAP leader Mohammed Tahir Hussain. As per the residents, the Muslim mob operated from Hussain’s house to unleash their carnage.

One of the residents of Moonga Nagar, who was an eyewitness to the murder of Ankit Sharma, stated that the IB sleuth was dragged inside the Hussain’s building by a frenzied mob from the gate of the house.

Furthermore, Pandita claims that multiple eyewitnesses have claimed that along with Ankit Sharma, two other persons were also dragged inside Hussain’s building by a mob from outside the house. Ankit’s body was recovered from a drain in Chand Bagh but the fate of the other two still remains uncertain.

The dead body of an Intelligence Bureau constable was recovered from a drain in North East Delhi amidst communal riots in the national capital. Delhi riots: Petrol Bombs, crates of stones found stored on AAP councillor Tahir Hussain’s rooftop

A day after murdered IB sleuth Ankit Sharma’s family alleged that their son was dragged away and lynched by AAP councillor Tahir Hussain’s goons, more videos and images have emerged which show crates of stones and petrol bombs stored at the rooftop of the AAP councillor.

As per reports, councillor Tahir Hussain’s house was being used by a violent Islamist mob to pelt stones and hurl petrol bombs in the locality. Eyewitness accounts have revealed that Ankit Sharma was lynched to death by a Muslim mob. Journalist Rahul Pandita managed to get hold of multiple eyewitnesses who saw the young officer being dragged inside a house by an enraged mob before his dead body was found lying in the drain.

As per reports, not just petrol bombs and stones, sacks full of brick pieces, stones, acid packs and even catapults to hurl the stones have been seen on Hussain’s rooftop.

The videos being widely shared on social media, it can be seen that Tahir Hussain’s house is clearly one of the tallest houses in the locality. A huge mob gathered on the rooftop is seen throwing petrol bombs, and pelting stones around.

The AAP councillor has, however, claimed that he had nothing to do with the mob that had gathered on his own rooftop. Speaking to India Today, Hussain has claimed that he was not present in his own house when the mob had gathered and threw stones. Hussain, however, says that on one side of his house there are Hindu homes and on another side, there are Muslim homes.

IB’s Ankit Sharma, who lived in Tahir Hussain’s neighbourhood, was found brutally murdered in a nearby drain yesterday morning. Sharma’s family have been saying that a large group os Muslims, allegedly Tahir Hussain’s goons, had carried Sharma away and had beaten him up.

Mohammad Shahrukh becomes ‘Anurag Mishra’. NDTV’s Ravish Kumar takes misinformation and conjectures to a whole new level

NDTV Editor Ravish Kumar has proven yet again how certain section of mainstream media is complicit in spreading misinformation, conjectures and sometimes blatant lies to fan violence under the guise of ‘freedom of press’. In his show ‘Prime Time’ on 26th February, 2020, Ravish Kumar resorted to spreading half-truths and full lies.

Most shocking is when Ravish, while speaking about the February 24 shooter who fired at Delhi Police personnel, identifies Mohammad Shahrukh as ‘Anurag Mishra’. For the 26th February show, Ravish claims that police has not yet arrested him while he was arrested on 25th February itself, good 24 hours before his show premiered. “Police ki haalat yeh hai ki abhi tak giraftar nahin hua hai. Police saaf kehti hai ki Shahrukh hai magar aap social media mein dekhiye Anurag Mishra bataya jaa raha hai. (Situation of Police is such that they have not yet arrested him. Police says his name is Shahrukh but if you see on social media, he is called Anurag Mishra),” he says. Which is surprising because no one has referred to the shooter as “Anurag Mishra” till now.

He then asks Delhi Police to speak out on his identity again. He then plays an undated speech of his reporter who appears to be asking Delhi Police personnel about Shahrukh’s arrest. Slyly, Ravish Kumar then plays the videos of BJP leaders Anurag Thakur, Kapil Mishra and Pravesh Verma addressing rallies ahead of Delhi elections to cast aspersions that their speeches have led to the riots a month later.

Speaking on the victims of the riots, Ravish talks about the IB official who was dragged out of his house and brutally murdered by the rioters before dumping his body in a drain. Ravish briefly mentions how the family has accused Aam Aadmi Party ‘leader’ (Ravish chooses not to name AAP corporator Tahir Hussain the family has categorically accused) but then blames television debates on provocative speeches. Kumar and his team conveniently forget 51-year-old Vinod who was killed by a Muslim mob in front of his son and had his bike set on fire.

That a mob killed a Hindu activist while chanting ‘Allah-hu-Akbar’ and ‘Nara-e-Takbeer’ did not find a mention in Ravish’s show. Ravish, in his show, plays a clip about a Muslim man heckling NSA Ajit Doval making wild allegations that the anti-CAA riots are RSS sponsored and that Home Minister Amit Shah is at the helm of it. Trying to make a point of incidents of shooting that have happened in last one month, Ravish Kumar says that it is the responsibility of Police and Home Ministry that no one is roaming around on the streets wielding guns. He talks about January 30 incident where Rambhakt Gulshan, a minor, shot at anti-CAA protests in Jamia Nagar. He speaks about Kapil Gurjar, an Aam Aadmi Party member, who opened fire in Shaheen Bagh just two days later. Ravish Kumar suffers selective amnesia where he forgets to mention that Gurjar, along with his father are Aam Aadmi Party members. He, however, does remember to mention how Gurjar had shouted that in our country only the will of Hindus will prevail.

Ravish’s reporter nonchalantly asks people who are quite obviously in fear and are appearing to be fleeing to safe place if they are afraid. Perhaps he was expecting that the people fleeing area to escape mob violence perpetrated by anti-CAA rioters should look happy and make merry while running for their lives. He even asks if ‘yahan darr ka mahaul to nahin hai na? (there is no atmosphere of fear here, right?’ to a man who just had his showroom destroyed and set on fire with loss pegged at Rs 50 lakh.

Half-truths and whole lies. NDTV’s Ravish Kumar proves yet again how mainstream media is complicit in fanning the violence and watering down crimes if criminals are Muslims.
