Actor Sonam Kapoor has taken to the oldest trick in the book of film promotion: take up a cause whenever a new film is about to release. Last year, it was the Kathua rape case which she, along with her buddies from the cringefest which was passed off as the desi version of Sex And The City, Veere Di Wedding, were ashamed as an Indian because a six-year-old girl was allegedly raped inside a prayer hall. While later investigation showed how the case got all murky, the placard activism catapulted Sonam into the league of Leftists.

No, I’m not kidding. Karan Johar, the flagbearer of nepotism in Bollywood who provides a launchpad to talentless star kids, referred to Sonam as a ‘bonafide Leftist’ in his talk show a few weeks back. Kapoor, who can’t even boast herself to be an ‘army brat’ (a term used by actors whose parent have served the Armed Forces, thereby giving them the entitlement to speak on matters concerning national security) has now taken the current situation at the Line of Control (LoC) between India and Pakistan to speak about Hindu extremism and how an average Hindu and Muslim want peace. No surprise here that her film ‘Ek Ladki Ko Dekha To Aisa Laga’ was just released and her film ‘The Zoya Factor’ is expected to be released in about a month.

Except, she has shared (rather plagiarised without giving due credit) a post by the hate-page ‘Humans of Hindutva’. On 26th February, the day Indian Air Force destroyed terror camps in Pakistan, Humans of Hindutva decided to pontificate and make the airstrikes targeting terror camps about ‘Hindutva’.

The hatemongering Facebook page Humans of Hindutva masquerading as a ‘parody’ account reeks of hate under the guise of satire. Considering the mainstream Leftist media and other ‘celebrity Leftists’ love the Facebook page, it does not come as a surprise that the new ‘bonafide Leftist’ Sonam Kapoor would plagiarise the propaganda piece and share without giving credit.

Veena Malik/Khan is a model/actor and has acted in films in India as well as the popular reality show Bigg Boss. That makes her Sonam Kapoor’s colleague, an average Pakistani. In the above tweet, Malik/Khan is seen getting excited at seeing the image of wounded Indian Air Force pilot who was beaten up by Pakistani people after his aircraft crashed as he tried to chase Pakistani Air Force jet which had violated Indian airspace. Malik/Khan is rejoicing that the IAF pilot is yet to see how he will be welcomed.

She then shares a video of what appears to be the IAF pilot in Pakistani army custody, being informally interrogated. He, at this point, is a prisoner of war.


She is taunting her ‘Bollywood buddies’ (people like Sonam herself) and asks the Prime Minister to not mess with ‘us’ (Pakistan).

Another of her colleague, Ali Zafar, an ‘average Pakistani’ just like her who has forayed into Hindi films was cheering for their Prime Minister Imran Khan.


Ali Zafar was referring to the recorded message by Imran Khan which came five days after the ghastly Pulwama terror attack carried out by Pakistan-bred Jaish-e-Mohammad. He had said how Pakistan will take action against perpetrators if actionable evidence is shared with his government. This after ample evidence that Pakistan’s soil nourishes terrorists. Khan’s message was not only prerecorded but also heavily censored, perhaps to suit his bosses, the ISI.

Oh, and in case she has not kept up with the news taking place, a terror group trained a boy to carry 350 kg explosives-laden car and kill 44 of our soldiers. He did so because he wanted to go to ‘Jannat’ after killing those who drink ‘cow urine’. And in case she is not aware the ‘cow urine’ was a crude reference to Hindus who consider cow holy. Many even believe that cow urine has medicinal value. So, no, Sonam, the terrorist didn’t kill our soldiers in name of ‘Ram’, but he killed them in name of Jihad. Because he was trained to do so in a terrorist camp based in Pakistan.

No one is asking Sonam Kapoor to go Veena Malik/Khan style and show a thirst for blood or like Ali Zafar, praise the leadership just because of the post he holds. But this might just be a good idea to stop monkey balancing. Stop making the LoC situation about Hindus vs Muslims. This is a country, the ideology which has been breeding terrorism. Call it like it is. And while you are at it, perhaps a learn a lesson or two of unabashedly standing by your country instead of feeding fodder to the country they are at war with.

Oh and speaking of Islamic fundamentalists, I hope your pontification begins at home. Here’s a reminder of the good times your father spent with the man who bombed the city you live in.

In a big blow to the Congress President Rahul Gandhi and his mother Sonia Gandhi, Delhi High Court has upheld the eviction of Associated Journals Limited (AJL) from Herald House, reports ANI.

The Delhi High Court was hearing the AJL appeal challenging the December 21, 2018, order of a single judge, dismissing its plea against the Union Government’s October 30 decision to take over the ‘Herald House’ building in Delhi belonging to the Congress mouthpiece National Herald for violations of the specified conditions on which the land was allocated.

However, the bench of Chief Justice Rajendra Menon and Justice V K Rao has not clarified on the time in which Associated Journals Limited has to evict the Herald building. The Bench had reserved its verdict on February 18 after hearing the counsel appearing for Associated Journals Limited (AJL) and the Centre.

The National Herald Scam is one of the most notable legal cases in Indian history since the Gandhis are directly accused. Congress President Rahul Gandhi and his mother Sonia, along with their aides – Oscar Fernandez, Motilal Vohra and Sam Pithroda are alleged to have involved in massive ‘cheating and breach of trust’ in the acquisition of Associated Journals Ltd (AJL) by Young Indian Pvt Ltd (YIL), as assets worth crores of rupees had been allegedly transferred for purposes other than originally intended for a paltry sum. Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi got unconditional bail in December 2015.

The Union government had decided to take over the ‘Herald House’ building in Delhi belonging to the Congress mouthpiece National Herald after it had found severe violations. The Union government had contended that the Herald House was not being used for the specified purpose of printing the newspaper, which was the primary condition of leasing the land to the publisher at a highly nominal rate. The publishers had reportedly violated the condition and misused the allotted land.

Yesterday, the 21 parties in the opposition had held a meeting and issued a joint statement over the current security issues regarding Pakistan. Congress president Rahul Gandhi had read the statement after the meeting.

Rahul Gandhi, reading the statement, stated that the current government is trying to politicise the sacrifices made by the armed forces. The statement made a grandstanding that national security must transcend narrow political considerations. It also stated that the leaders of the opposition parties have observed that regrettably, the PM has not convened an all-party meeting as per the established practice in our democracy.


This statement, however, is a bold and blatant lie. The central government has convened two all-party meetings after the 14 February Pulwama attacks so far.

The first all-party meeting was called by the government on February 16 after the Pulwama attacks. It was chaired by home minister Rajnath Singh where he had briefed all representatives of political parties over the attack that had claimed the lives of 40 CRPF men.

The second all-party meeting was convened by the central government on 26 February where EAM Sushma Swaraj has briefed the political leaders about India’s air strikes on Jaish-e-Mohammad terror camps.

Apart from that, there also have been meetings of the Cabinet Committee on Security where opposition leaders were also present.

The blatant lies of the Congress and the opposition parties were called out by many on social media too.


At a time when the nation is engaged in an intense diplomatic and military strategising to secure India’s best interests against a terrorist supporting Pakistan, the sheer damage that such a statement and posturing can do is evident from the fact that Pakistan’s official radio channel has used the statement to target the government of India.

The Pakistan Army has violated the norms under the Geneva Convention after it released the videos of Indian fighter pilot Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman, who is reportedly in Pakistan’s custody.

According to Washington Post, some experts believe that Pakistan may have deviated from the norms of the Geneva Conventions and violated regulations written to protect prisoners from “insults and public curiosity,” as spelt out in Article 13.

Article 13 of the Geneva Convention says that “Prisoners of war must at all times be humanely treated. Any unlawful act or omission by the Detaining Power causing death or seriously endangering the health of a prisoner of war in its custody is prohibited and will be regarded as a serious breach of the present Convention. In particular, no prisoner of war may be subjected to physical mutilation or to medical or scientific experiments of any kind which are not justified by the medical, dental or hospital treatment of the prisoner concerned and carried out in his interest. Likewise, prisoners of war must at all times be protected, particularly against acts of violence or intimidation and against insults and public curiosity.”

“Releasing the video would be prohibited by that provision,” Rachel E. VanLandingham, a military justice expert at Southwestern Law School, reportedly has told The Washington Post on Wednesday. As reported by Post, VanLandingham has said it was a clear recognition they shouldn’t have released it as Pakistan and India are both signatories of the Geneva Conventions.

“Here, there was no military necessity to release the video, and presumably it was released with the intent to humiliate the captive and, thus, the state of India, and, thus, Pakistan is in violation of Article 13,” she said. The article is applicable since the international conflict has occurred despite the lack of a formal declaration, VanLandingham added.

In a deliberate act, the Pakistani Army had released a video of a blindfolded and injured Indian Air Force pilot. The Air Force pilot had shown exemplary courage when he was being interrogated and only gave his name, service number and identified himself as a Hindu. When more information was sought, Commander Varthaman replied coolly, “I’m sorry sir…that’s all I’m supposed to tell you.”

The videos circulated online showed the pilot pulled from the wreckage and was beaten by the mob before the Pakistan Army dispersed the mob. In another video, the brave Indian soldier was shown sipping his tea while refusing to answer questions about his aircraft and mission.

On Wednesday, India Government has rightly pointed out that Pakistan breached norms of International Humanitarian Law and the Geneva Convention by its ‘vulgar display of injured personnel’.

In its demarche, India noted, “India also strongly objected to Pakistan’s vulgar display of injured personnel of the Indian Air Force in violation of all norms of International Humanitarian Law and the Geneva Convention. It was made clear that Pakistan would be well advised to ensure that no harm comes to the Indian defence personnel in its custody. India also expects his immediate and safe return.”

Pakistani jets had violated Indian airspace on Wednesday morning and entered the border areas of Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district. They had reportedly dropped bombs but were pushed back by Indian aircraft.

The Government of India had confirmed that the Indian Air Force responded instantly to thwart its attempts. In the aerial engagement, one Pakistan jet was shot down by Indian MIG 21 Bison of IAF. The Indian Airforce has said it had lost a Mig 21, while the pilot is believed to be in Pakistan’s captivity.

Here are 10 most remarkable facts about the air strike by Indian Air Force yesterday that not only turned a large-scale terror establishment to smoke but also ensured India’s moral, strategic and diplomatic win after the dreadful Pulwama attacks.

  • It was the first operation after the 1971 war with Pakistan that the Indian fighter jets have crossed the LoC and flown inside Pakistani airspace. Even during the peak of Kargil war between the two countries, the then Vajpayee government had ordered the Indian Air Force not to cross the LoC. As per reports, the Indian Air Force had planned it in since February 15, just a day after the Pulwama attack.

  • NSA Ajit Doval and Air chief BS Dhanoa worked throughout the night on Monday, monitoring the preparations and operations from the war room in IAF headquarters. Director General of Air Operations Air Marshal Amit Dev and his team played a significant role in the operations from the war room.
  • Apart from the 12 Mirage 2000 aircraft that had taken off from their respective air bases in Gwalior and Agra, a formation of Sukhoi Su 30-MKIs, 5 Mig 29s were also on standby to protect the Indian airspace. Reports say that while the IAF put assets worth over Rs 2,568 crores flying across the LoC, it kept equipment and aircraft of over 3600 crores on standby for necessary support.

  • The 12 Mirage fighter jets flew with their radars turned off to avoid detection by the enemy. It was two of the IAF’s Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) aircraft, DRDO developed ‘Netra’ or the ‘Eye in The Sky’ that guided them across the LoC into the enemy territory. The Netras shepherded the 12 Mirage jets during the air strikes. The Netra’s eye is a 1.4-ton AESA radar mounted on it which can detect targets from over 200 km away. The five flight controllers on the EJ-145 directed the aircraft to their target, right up to the release of the bomb and back.
  • An Ilyushin II-78 aerial refuelling tanker travelled with the fleet of Mirage 2000s. Some reports say that a number of Sukhoi Su 30-MKIs were also airborne during the operation. Guarding the Mirage 2000s against any threats.
  • An Israel-made UAV Heron, a medium altitude long endurance drones developed by the Israel Aerospace Industries was also keeping the Mirage 2000s company. It was deployed to carry out real-time air surveillance.
  • The Mirage 2000s carried the SPICE ‘smart bombs’ made by Israel’s Rafael Advanced Defence Systems. Each SPICE 2000 is approximately a 1000 KG air to ground bomb that can be launched from a distance of 100 km. Israel had used these same bombs in Syria. The SPICE uses a Digital Scene Matching Area Correlator (DSMAC) technology. The technology enables it to match the target as it zooms in, with pre-fed images apart from the GPS coordinates. They also come with anti-GPS jammer, which means the enemy cannot manipulate its homing device. The Mirages also used the Israeli made Lightening Targetting Pods to target the precise locations.
  • The Balakot terror camp was chosen based on strong intelligence that it has long been used as a training and indoctrination facility and currently there are more than 300 terrorists and many top commanders housed there. Balakot camp was located in the woods, away from the civilian area. It was a top facility with playground, swimming pool, racing tracks, an ammunition dump, and social media war room. Many trainers in the facility are believed to be ex-ISI and the Pakistani army. Indian intelligence sources reportedly had enough credible information that JeM has called back its terrorists from Launchpads along the LoC and many of them have been holed up in Balakot camp. Even the US intelligence agencies are said to be aware of the existence of the Balakot camp after they had detained Hafez Rehman, a Taliban terrorist who was trained in the Balakot camp.
  • 25 top Jaish-e-Mohammad commanders, including Masood Azhar’s brother-in-law Yusuf Azhar, Maulana Ammar, associated with Afghanistan and Kashmir ops and Maulana Talha Saif, brother of Maulana Masood Azhar and head of the preparation wing have also been killed in the air strikes. 6 buildings of the camp, located about 60 km straight distance away from Abbottabad were levelled in the air strike.
  • India’s official statement after the attacks, that it was a pre-emptive non-military action, has actually worked to put Pakistan in a fix. Pakistan had earlier claimed that no damage was done in the attack. But after the UNSC statement and the support of many global powers that India has a right to self-defence against terrorist groups, drain away any validation from Pakistan’s cry of victimhood after the attacks.

Pakistan, baffled by India’s gutsiness after the Indian Airforce struck the Jaish camps in Pakistan, has embraced a new low. Reports are emerging that Pakistan has been making calls to civilians located in the Indo-Pak border areas and enquiring about the Indian Army’s whereabouts.

According to a report by Patrika, the locals living in Sriganganagar district, Rajasthan, which happens to share its border with Pakistan, have been receiving fraudulent calls from thirteen digit numbers. These calls, which are being made through the internet, are trying to persuade the locals to reveal the locations and other important information regarding the Indian Army.

One such call was received by the Sriganganagar village Panchayat head, Rakesh Bishnoi. As per information passed on by Rakesh, he received a call from one such thirteen digit number at 10.30am. The caller asked him whether the Indian army was present at the border. He was also asked for how long had the army been present in his area and also sought information regarding the army activities.

However, Bishnoi claimed that pretending to be ignorant, he asked the caller to contact the police for such information. Bishnoi furthered that the caller also sought information regarding the Indian Army tanks and ammunition which he did not pass on.

He received a call from a thirteen digit number (+3444172258965) and the call lasted for 2 minutes 24 seconds, confirmed Bishnoi.

The situation in the border areas is very sensitive, post the Indian Army’s laudable endeavour. Areas like Sriganganagar, Bikaner, Jaisalmer of Rajasthan and the Barmer border areas have been put on high alert. Superintendent of Police, Hemant Sharma appealed to all the locals, not to pass on any kind of information to such fraudulent callers.

Additional superintendent of Police, Surendra Singh Rathore, added that considering the current situation all the adjacent areas have been put on high alerts. Police patrolling has been increased in these areas. He appealed to all residents to stay alert and not to fall into the trap of such swindlers. Any person receiving such fraudulent calls must immediately inform the police and put up the information on social media, appealed Rathore.

The Indian armed forces had retaliated to the ghastly Pulwama carnage by executing an ariel airstrike in the wee hours on Tuesday morning, by crossing the Line of Control and breaching the Pakistani airspace. The air strike was carried out at 3:30 am in Balakot. One of the targets destroyed by IAF Mirage jets was in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa area.

Balakot, Chakothi and Muzaffarabad terror launch pads across the Line of Control were completely destroyed in IAF air strikes. Jaish-e-Mohammad control rooms also destroyed.

Delhi Metro put on Red Alert amid increased tension with Pakistan

The government has issued red alerts on the entire network of Delhi metro amid the heightened tension between India and Pakistan. The red alert was issued as per the advice of security agencies, and the alert has been made effective from 6 PM this evening.

“As advised by security agencies, Red Alert has been imposed in entire DMRC network from 6PM onwards today,” a statement issued by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) said.


As per protocols of red alert, all station controllers are required to inspect the entire station every two hours and report the same to the control centre. They have to look for any suspicious items or activities on the station premises, including parking lots.

After the terror attack at Pulwama, Indian Air Force had bombed terrorist camps in Pakistan yesterday. Pakistan Air Force attacked Indian defence bases today as retaliation, but Pakistan’s F-16 jets were chased away by IAF’s MiG-21 jets, and one F-16 jet was shot down. India also lost one MiG-21 in the process, and the pilot has been captured by Pakistan.

Following these incidents, there are increased chance of terror attacks by Pakistan based terrorists in India, and public places like the Delhi Metro can be prime targets of such terror operations. The red alert for Delhi Metro has been issued on threat perception of such attacks.

He had said that two Indian Air Force pilots were arrested, out of which one was being treated in a hospital.

But, Pakistan Army after getting exposed by their lies, have now put up a new statement stating that they have custody of only one pilot, Wing Commander Abhinandan and stated that he is being treated as per norms of military ethics.

Meanwhile, the Indian government had summoned the acting High Commissioner of Pakistan to lodge a strong protest at the unprovoked act of aggression by Pakistan against India earlier today, including violation of the Indian air space by Pakistan Air Force & targeting of Indian military posts.

The Acting High Commissioner of Pakistan was summoned this afternoon by MEA to lodge a strong protest at the unprovoked act of aggression by Pakistan against India earlier today, including by violation of the Indian air space by Pakistan Air Force and targeting of Indian military posts.

It was conveyed that India reserves the right to take firm and decisive action to protect its national security, sovereignty and territorial integrity against any act of aggression or cross-border terrorism.

India also strongly objected to Pakistan’s vulgar display of an injured personnel of the Indian Air Force in violation of all norms of International Humanitarian Law and the Geneva Convention. It was made clear that Pakistan would be well advised to ensure that no harm comes to the Indian defence personnel in its custody. India also expects his immediate and safe return.

Earlier today, Pakistan violated Indian air space wherein Pakistan’s F16 was brought down along with India’s MiG21. The pilot of Indian Air Force was captured by Pakistan since he had crossed the border while chasing the F16 of Pakistan Air Force. Following this, videos of the Air Force pilot being beaten up by his captors as well as video of his being questioned by presumably Pakistani Army personnel had gone viral on social media, in violation of the Geneva Convention.

The joint statement added that the meeting of opposition parties lauded the action taken by Indian Air Force against terror camps in Pakistan on February 26, and praised Indian Armed Forces for their valour and bravery. Surprisingly after that, the joint statement says that “the meeting of 21 parties expressed their deep anguish over the blatant politicisation of sacrifices made by our Armed Forces by leaders of the ruling party”. It also says that the Prime Minister has not convened an all-party meeting as per established practice in our democracy.

This is a very unfortunate statement coming from 21 political parties of the nation at this moment. The allegation that the current situation has been politicised by the BJP leaders is false and has no basis. No leader of the ruling party has made any comment that can be described as politicisation. The BJP leaders, including the Prime Minister, has praised the Armed Forces for their action against terror camps in Pakistan, and have reiterated that Pakistan sponsored terrorism will be crushed by India.

On the other hand, it is opposition, including the liberal media, which have been trying to politicise the matter. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee went to allege that the union government had intelligence inputs on the Pulwama attack but did not act on them. She claimed that BJP wants to create a war hysteria ahead of Lok Sabha elections.

Several left-liberal activists and journalists have argued that only Modi and BJP will be benefitted by terror attacks by Jaish. National Herald, the mouthpiece of Congress, has also published articles arguing the same. Some of them have gone ahead and hinted that actually BJP may be behind the Pulwama attack.

Coming to the all-party meeting, perhaps the opposition parties forgot that just yesterday they had attended an all-party meeting called by the Government of India. Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad, CPI(M)’s Sitaram Yechury, TMC’s Derek O’Brian, Omar Abdullah of National Conference were among the opposition leaders present in the meeting. The union government was represented by External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, Home Minister Rajnath Singh and Finance Minister Arun Jaitley. All three of them are also the members of Cabinet Committee on Security. Therefore, it is a blatant lie by the opposition parties that all-party meeting has not been called by the government. Moreover, the situation is still evolving, and the government may call more meetings, which may be addressed by the Prime Minister. To attack the government at this moment on this issue is clearly an attempt to score a political point by the 21 opposition parties.
