Here is why Leftists are the real Fascists

0

To ‘be’ something is different from ‘identifying’ yourself to be ‘that’ something. ‘Being’ requires a firm moral stance based on self-derived and reasoned principles, it is reflected in ‘actions’. ‘Identifying’ to be ‘something’ is reflected only in ‘words’; in ‘action’ it only leads to hypocrisy.

For instance, the 21st century ‘liberals’ and ‘feminists’ in short are the ones who fall under the latter category. Almost all institutionalized organizations that ‘identify’ themselves with ‘liberalism’ and ‘feminism’ fall under the latter category. Their adherent followers who rely on these institutions to continuously update their moral stance on what they ‘think’ they ‘believe’ in, also fall under the latter category.

The same hypothesis can be applied to ‘religious people’. The religious people, of any religion, be it from Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, Sikhism, and so on, also fall in the latter category in the sense that no religious person follows his religion in the 21st century in its absolute terms. If you are a follower of the Eastern orthopraxy religions, you still have the advantage to proclaim that, “My religion is a way of life, it is not orthodox and is susceptible to change with time”, and rightly so. Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, and other Eastern Philosophical Schools of Thoughts are susceptible to change, but how often do they? That’s the question.

But leaving that, if you were to be a follower of the Western orthodox religions, you cannot proclaim that. If you follow anything that’s against the written command of your God, you cease to be a ‘Christian’ and ‘Muslim’. In that sense, I would argue that no one is actually a Christian, a Muslim, or a Jew in this, unless not for those people whom we call ‘extremists’, ‘fundamentalists’, and ‘terrorists’. Anyone who have studied these religious books, with objectivity, would come to the same conclusion. ‘Extremists’, ‘fundamentalists’, and ‘terrorists’ fall under the ‘being’ category while the ‘moderates’ fall under the ‘identifying’ category.

Any political movement, in my opinion, should be judged based on the ‘actions’ of its adherent followers, at a particular instance of the time period. I would like to make a distinction between what I think, there exists, between a ‘political movement’ and ‘political philosophy’. A ‘movement’ is a form of ‘action’, an expression of ‘being’ and driven by ‘philosophy’. A philosophy is a form of ‘thought’ expressed in ‘words’. It’s very rare to find a person whose actions are based on the philosophy he expresses through his words. More often, it is the case that there exists a sheer contrast between the philosophy the person proclaims to believe in and expresses through words before the mass audience and the actions he chooses to perform.

‘Movements’ are responsible for changing the meaning associated with its ‘philosophy’. ‘Movements’ itself is a sign of change in the ‘thinking’ of its adherent followers. With that in mind, I think it’s now reasonable to argue that the 21st-century’ liberalism’ has been corroded and corrupted by its followers’ actions. It’s meaning has changed in regards to the 21st century, especially today. The actions of all the self-proclaimed ‘liberals’ and ‘feminists’ today, reeks of mental-hollowness, hypocrisy, little self-awareness, elitism, and latent arrogance.

Perhaps the only thing they are good nowadays is to invent new and exciting buzzwords, that sounds intelligent and cool to them but aren’t really. They have mastered the art of mockery, and ridicule any person who disagrees with them intellectually. To them, it’s not disagreement but simply a ‘misinformed’ opinion based on ‘misinformation’ or ‘wrong facts’.

The same is true in case of moral stance. Anyone who differs from their accepted stance on morality, is simply a conservative moron, a ‘Bhakt’ [a sacred word for a devotee in Hinduism, being used to shame Hindus who support BJP]. Anyone who differs intellectually is publicly shamed in the age of micro-blogging sites. Most of the times, the people who disagree with them on certain issues, are forced to apologize for their opinion just because a cult of self-victimized little whiners are hurt by their ‘words’. People are losing their jobs to put out an opinion in open, which in itself is an indication of the current state of these ‘philosophies’.

These people, in my opinion, have isolated themselves from the reality altogether so much so that ‘truth’ for them have become racist, sexist, and other forms of ‘-ist’ and ‘-ic’. Criticize Islam, and there it is – racist and Islamophobic you are. Criticize feminism going overboard and congratulations! You’re now officially a misogynist who should have been aborted before birth. Question abortion and off you go, you conservative buffoon. No matter what, there’s always a label ready for you.

Think about the 2014 Indian election when BJP government won. From that day onwards, the incident that followed among these lobbies is not a just mere coincidence. The way they cried intolerance in the case of cow vigilantism but remain silent during West Bengal murders. If they win the election, democracy wins; but every other times democracy was and is in danger from the ‘fascists’ BJP. In doing so, these people are not recognizing the hypocrisy of their actions and definitely not realizing that they have become what they are fighting. The 21st century Fascists.

Whatever happened to the ‘liberalism 101’, “Do not feel absolutely certain of anything”? Whatever happened to the ‘intellectual vow’, “I will never discourage thinking and if met with the opposition, I will endeavor to overcome it by argument instead of authority or force”? Whatever happened to the vow, “I will not use power to suppress the opinions, even those which I think are pernicious”? Whatever happened to the intellectual stance, “Intelligent dissent is more pleasurable than passive agreement”? Whatever happened to the moral stance, “I will speak the truth, however inconvenient it may be”? People who follow these rules now, unfortunately, are being labeled with negative connotations. Liberalism is being hijacked by the people who don’t follow it themselves, giving it a bad name. Unfortunately, there is no one to reclaim it back. Being a liberal or a conservative is a personality issue not political. However, that’s something for another time.

Let’s look into feminism as well. ‘Feminism’, the political movement aimed to grant the women equal rights as men. At least that is what it was in the beginning. With the changing times, it’s definition changed in theory by its followers. Today, in theory, it stands for – the advocacy of women’s rights on the ground of the equality of the sexes. Many people who are thinking, “Wait! what’s the difference between the two definitions? Isn’t there only two sex?” Oh boy! You trans-phobic illiterate [add more good words here yourself!], how can you say that? It’s 2018! How dare you hurt my ‘sentiments’? Apparently, they, and by ‘they’ I mean ‘feminists’ & ‘liberals’, have updated the number of the sexes in the recent years if you don’t know. So either you should upgrade yourself with the ‘facts’ that they ‘think’ is ‘correct’ or you are ‘wrong’. Period. End of discussion.

Don’t you dare raise the issues and problems faced by men, especially those who are suffering because of gender bias laws that are favoring women worldwide in almost all democratic countries, don’t! Otherwise, you’re an MRA – a misogynist organization filled with male chauvinist. Blame everything on ‘patriarchy’, because apparently, that’s the best we can come up with to silence criticism. Call ‘masculinity’ toxic. Shame on the young boys for the fact that their body produces testosterone. Make the straight males guilty of their sexuality. Just don’t blame us, us meaning women, because ‘our body, our choice’. But hey! you cannot sit like that. That’s man-spreading! In India, the level of these problems exists in online campaigns and universities but then whatever happens in Universities happens five years or a decade later in public spaces. The movement of feminism aims to destroy ‘patriarchy’. Most people, however, don’t understand the depth of what ‘patriarchy’ means to feminists. It’s, to state simply, is the indigenous culture and tradition of the land.

In India, it’s Hinduism. And hence, that’s their main target. In the US, it’s Christianity, hence that’s their target there. It’s never against Islam though because the Prophet was the first feminist for your kind information and Rama a ‘misogynistic pig’ as said by Sita. You can get enlightened by Audrey Truschke, assistant professor of South Asian history at Rutgers University-Newark and a Mellon Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Religious Studies at Stanford University, on that matter.

Just remember to agree with her on every point and not question her ‘scholarly’ work [whatever that means to her!] otherwise block you, she would! But wait a minute, isn’t feminism about equality? Suzanna Danuta Walters, a professor of sociology and director of the Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies Program at Northeastern University, disagrees with you by asking,”Why can’t we hate men?” Judge yourself! Women and Gender Studies is a disaster discipline which Indian Universities have imported from West and we’ll pay a heavy price for it within a decade or two from now on, much like how we are paying the price of importing Marxism through Urban Naxals and Maoists.

The current age movements of our times are driven by the underlying Postmodernist Template. Postmodernism is a philosophy that negates all ‘Grand Narratives’. On a deep level, it states something along these lines, “There is no such thing as true as everything can be interpreted by different people in an infinite number of ways. Hence, the truth is non-existent and what we believe to be true is simply a narrative set by the one who holds utmost power at a particular instance in time. Hence, destruction of all Grand Narrative is the way towards progressiveness and to overcome the oppression by those in power”.

This line of thinking seems true to most people and most often they fall for it. The reality, however, is that it’s a partial truth. And it is this partial truth which Hinduism itself says out quite clearly, “There are multiple infinite paths towards truth”. It is a fact that we hold truth claims rather than truth itself. Postmodernism goes wrong when it says, “There is no truth. It all depends on power”. This power template is due to Marxism. Marxism lays out the economic divide between two classes – oppressed and oppressor in modern-day terminology. What postmodernists did in the late 1970s in France, people like Michel Foucault and Jacques Derrida is that they brought in the Marxist class division on every narrative. It was Derrida who gave the word, ‘phallogocentrism’, a word that is used to refer to the privileging of the masculine (phallus) in the construction of meaning. This is what became the feminism’s new ‘patriarchy’.

Hence, it’s important to deconstruct ‘patriarchy’. So what is the product of patriarchy, you may ask. The answer also includes science and truth. If the meaning is constructed by power, if there is no truth and the truth is decided by power, if the masculine is the center of the construct of that meaning and hence truth and science, then all these things must be questioned and destroyed. This provides an interconnection between the postmodernism and feminism.

Postmodernism and Marxism are incoherent with each other on philosophical levels. But then again, coherence is a ‘patriarchal’ construct of science and logic, hence must be destroyed as well. So what’s the effect? Well, you stretch Marxism to all other domains of human existence. The oppressed and oppressor are no longer decided based on the economic divide, but also in terms of gender [man vs women], caste [ Upper Caste vs Lower Caste], skin colour [White, Brown, Black], imagined races [Aryan vs Dravidians] and so on. This divides the society into group identities and pins them against each other as groups fighting for power.

The most virtuous group among them is one which was supposedly historically oppressed and the most vicious are the ones historically privileged. You cannot question whether it is even true, the narrative that who were oppressed in the first place, otherwise you are a bigot, a fascist, an oppressor yourself if you happen to belong to perceived oppressor majority and a traitor to the cause if you happen to belong to the oppressed minority. In essence, if you favour reservations like the policy, you’re a communist/neo-Marxist/postmodernist in action regardless of what you think you are. In principle, you are following those philosophies. This is another one of those areas where the right wing associations fail miserably for most parts.

They also play on the game whose rules are laid out by Marx and Derrida type philosophers. In essence, there is no right wing or left wing in India when it comes to politics. They all play in grey zone and are all influenced by Marxism in their policies. The game of group identities is played by all for that’s the only way to win elections in India. However, this would result in Breaking India forces getting more coverage or the so-called defenders become the exact same offenders.

In conclusion, it is evident from the actions of the left that it has indeed become the new fascist, still living under the illusion of being against fascism. They are the establishment, still living under the illusion of being against the establishment. It’s time to wake up and move forward. India is the land whose culture rests on Hinduism and Buddhism. Both of these philosophies lay importance in the seeking of truth and walking the middle path. It’s time to adopt the teachings of these Dharmic traditions and stop playing the identity politics or else we pay the heavy price in blood in near future.

Boost to Modi’s ‘Digital India’ clarion call: Visa slashes charges on debit card payments by 95%

In a bid to boost digital transactions, Visa, the largest card payments network in the country, has decided to lower down the charges on debit card transactions. This decision by Visa will pave the way to increase in India’s digital payments market by enabling small merchants and customers to transact more in digital mode.

Visa said it would cut rates on debit card transactions by up to 95%. The largest quantum decrease will apply to transactions under Rs 2,000. The biggest slash in charges is applicable to the card issuing banks, which will drop to 15 paise for transactions under Rs 2,000 and to Rs 1.5 for high-value payments, from a uniform rate of Rs 2.99 per transaction. The Visa has also reduced the charges for merchant acquiring banks; the payments network has reduced charges to 15 paise per transaction of up to Rs 2,000, from 45 paise.

According to Economic Times, Debit cards account for 96% of the cards in use in India, but it is the credit cards that account for 51% of card payments in terms of value, ET reported on June 12. But with only 37 million credit cards in use in the country, as against 861 million debit cards, their usage does not translate to mass adoption of digital payments.

This move will be encouraging, as the acceptance of debit card payments will grow in small retail markets. Now it will become easier and more attractive for banks to deploy terminals at small shops; when accompanied by steps to increase awareness among small merchants, it will help reduce their resistance to card payments.

Visa commands more than 40% market share in India in terms of the number of card transactions on its network. It is facing tough competition from Rupay, which offers much cheaper rates at 90 paise per debit card transactions. Most of the payment banks and small banks have joined hands with the RBI-promoted NPCI, for offering the Rupay cards to customers. Recently, Rupay has also entered credit card market, which may bring the charges down in near future.

India has seen a faster adoption of a digital mode of transactions. In a recent report, India’s digital payments had tripled from 2.5 per cent to 7 per cent of the GDP in 3 years, and all set to reach 10 per cent by 2023.

The credit must be given to the combined efforts of government, regulators and even banks for providing impetus to digital transactions. Along with card transactions, UPI or United Payments Interface has gained immense traction in the past few months and been largely responsible for the digital push.

Gujarat is on its way to becoming the first state to get 100% pipe gas coverage

As per reports, Gujarat will become the first state to be completely covered under the pipe gas distribution network after the ninth round of bidding, which will see a quarter of the country brought under the network.

The Western areas of the state are already 84.31 percent covered under the city gas distribution (CGD) network, and will see the remaining area covered after the ninth round of bidding which opened last month, Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board Chairperson D K Sarraf said here today. Following this, the country’s overall penetration will go up in terms of geographical areas, from existing 11 percent to 24 percent, covering 29 percent population from existing 19 percent, he said.

After the bidding, which is already underway, 100 percent of the population in Gujarat will be covered under the CGD network which as of now is already 87.37 percent covered.

Sarraf said that to promote natural gas consumption in kitchens and for vehicles in the state, CGD has been given the priority for access to cheaper domestic gas, while others would have to depend on imported gas which is costlier as compared to domestic gas. CGD sector is currently consuming 20 million cubic meters natural gas per day, with the demand expected to multiply as penetration grows, he said.

In 2016, City Gas distribution player, Gujarat Gas Limited has joined hands with the Gujarat Housing Board (GHB) to provide piped natural gas (PNG) to homes built under the ‘Chief Minister’s Housing Scheme’ as well as other housing schemes of GHB. In order to connect other cities and new residential colonies being set up by GHB, the state government in the year 2016 started expanding the gas pipeline network across the state so as to increase the usage of natural gas by consumers and thereby reduce pollution.

In the latest bidding round, 14 additional districts, including 6 complete districts and the rest in parts, will be covered under the CGD network in the state. The districts include Gir Somnath, Morbi, Mahisagar, Narmada, Kheda, Junagadh, and Tapi.

Piped Natural gas (PNG) is used for Domestic, Commercial and Industrial Consumption. PNG has several distinctions to its credit of being a pollution-free fuel, economical and safer fuel being few of them. it is the most eco-friendly form of fuel. PNG is one of the cleanest burning fuels and helps improve the quality of air. When natural gas burns completely, it gives out carbon dioxide and water vapour. These are the very components that we give out while breathing so it is completely safe.

In the year 2007, Government of India established Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) under the PNGRB Act 2006. Under the Act, PNGRB grants the authorization to the entities for developing a City Gas Distribution (CGD) network (including PNG network) in a specified Geographical Area (GA) of the country. CGD sector has four distinct segments – Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) predominantly used as auto-fuel, and Piped Natural Gas (PNG) used in domestic, commercial and Industrial segments. Until the end of last year, the country was having about 16470 Km long Natural Gas pipeline network in operation.

Doctors hope for full recovery after Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s health improves significantly

The health of former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee has seen a significant improvement leading the AIIMS doctors to believe that he would soon make a full recovery, Hindustan Times has reported. The report quotes AIIMS doctor Randeep Guleria as stating that they were hoping for a full recovery in the next few days.

As per an ANI feed, Vajpayee’s health had improved significantly in the last 48 hours, with his kidney function, heart rate, respiratory rate and blood pressure being back to normal and being maintained without artificial support. Overall his health was being classified as “good”.

Another doctor Aarti Vij stated that Vajpayee’s health was stable and he was being treated with injectable antibiotics. He as per the report was responding to the treatment and would remain under the hospital’s care until the infection was controlled.

The former prime minister was admitted to the AIIMS on 11 June, following complaints of urinary tract infection, chest congestion, and low urine output.

Following his admission, he was visited by various political leaders like Prime Minister Narendra Modi, veteran BJP leader LK Advani, BJP President Amit Shah and former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

Incidentally, Vajpayee was even visited by Congress President Rahul Gandhi who decided to politicise the former prime minister’s health by exuding the culture of his party. He was quoted as saying that, “Vajpayee ji is ill, who went first? I went to meet him at the hospital. Though he fought against us, Vajpayee ji worked for nation-building. This is our culture”.

Rahul was later slammed for his politicisation by social media users, who were quick to remind him about the manner in which his party had ill-treated their own leader PV Narasimha Rao.

It was even alleged that AIIMS had explicitly asked Rahul not to visit for health concerns but he ignored their pleas and went to meet Vajpayee anyway to score political points.

Owaisi attacks Rahul Gandhi for dining with ‘RSS sympathizer’ Pranab Mukherjee

The controversy surrounding former President and former Congress leader Pranab Mukherjee’s visit to RSS headquarters refuses to die down. At first Mukherjee’s visit was highly criticized by Congress which was followed by a complete meltdown of the ‘liberals’ as he hailed RSS founder Hedgewar as ‘great son of India’. So much so that as per NDTV journalist, Sonia Gandhi had even asked senior leaders to tweet their disappointment on Pranab Mukherjee’s visit to Nagpur.

However, it so happened that Mukherjee and RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat essentially said the same thing. Their views on the concept of nationalism, nation and patriotism were quite similar. In fact, the RSS magazine also said that Mukherjee presented a vision for India which only the RSS could fulfil. So-called historians like Ram Guha tried to twist the statements to save their faces.

Despite the displeasure and strong rumours that Congress President Rahul Gandhi had not invited Pranab Mukherjee for the grand iftar party hosted by the former last night, Pranab Mukherjee was present there last night.

However, Mukherjee’s presence does not seem to have gone down quite well with others in the opposition who have branded him an ‘RSS sympathizer’.

Despite liberals trying to spin that Pranab Mukherjee ‘taught lessons’ to the RSS, their favourite Muslim leader seems unconvinced. President of All India Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) Party & Member of Parliament Lok Sabha, Asaduddin Owaisi, took a dig at Mukherjee and Rahul by saying how Mukherjee came comfortably to an iftar hosted by a ‘Janeudhari’ after delivering a speech at the RSS head office.

He called the Gandhi sharing the table with Mukherjee the ‘hypocrisy of highest order’. Congress seems to be in a catch-22 situation. Unlike BJP, which has a more or less clear ideology, the Congress seems to get into trouble when it tries to appease one group or the other.

From what it seems, Congress needs to pull up their socks and improvise on their propaganda, as it is neither selling online, on Twitter nor offline, like their anti-BJP ‘United Opposition’ camp, like AIMIM’s Owaisi.

India as an idea : If we are not careful, it might not last the winter

0

I am a stickler for words. I adore words. I worship words. I have an almost insane belief that most problems we face in human life arise due to lack of words and they can be resolved if we can discover appropriate words. We discover our identity in words, and we lose them in words. Nations are built and broken with words. Things obtain their meaning through words and lose their meaning in words.

I remember, a brilliantly made movie. There is a dialogue in the movie which has stayed with me ever since I heard it for the first time in 2000. The dying Emperor of Rome, meets his battle-weary, victorious Army General, General Maximus and they talk. The emperor explains his interpretation of Rome. He says – “There was once a dream that was Rome, you could only whisper it. Anything more than a whisper and it would vanish. It was so fragile and I fear that it will not survive the winter.”

The Emperor here is talking about Rome. But there is a pronounced certitude and noticeable universality in the statement. It can be equally applied to any nation, at any point in time. The nation, any nation is not defined by its roads, fields, boundaries. It is not even defined by its people. A nation is defined by the prime idea which represents the basic character of a nation. A nation is as strong and as weak as that central theme, that central idea remains. It is not about armies and arsenals.

In the context of India, we know what that Idea was. It was an idea of Hindutva or Hinduism which breaths into the varied hearts of the people of this nation, irrespective of their faith. Supreme Court had defined it as the way, we, the people of India have lived over last thousands of years.

The Five-Judge bench of the Supreme Court of India in 1966 ruled that “Unlike other religions in the world, the Hindu religion does not claim any one prophet, it does not worship any one god, it does not subscribe to any one dogma, it does not believe in any one philosophic concept, it does not follow any one set of religious rites or performances, in fact, it does not appear to satisfy the narrow traditional features of any religion or creed. It may broadly be described as a way of life and nothing more.” Hinduism or Hindutva is the way people of India, that is Bharat lived.

Since this idea of a uniform and universal idea of living common among all Indians, contradicted with initially the Western expectation and later the leftist hope of eventual Balkanisation of India on the lines of language, religion and castes; there have been attempts to negate it.

The leftists loved to levitate over the mass belief which defined India. Their minds are trained on foreign beliefs, their actions dictated by alien and imported dogmas. They do not like a central idea which defines this great nation. They don’t Hinduism because it is a religion which their ideology is inconsistent with. They hate it because it represents an idea of India which unifies its people. Since they can not take on so many, openly, they create imaginary concepts of Hindutva being different from Hinduism and claim to hate one and not the other.

They understand that this is not a battle of guns. This is a battle of ideas. We are at war. There is an idea which refuses to accept one governing indigenous idea or a central theme of India as a nation. It is a fight for gaining mind space. The land is immaterial. It is the minds that they seek to win. When they erased the entire history of our nation and shouted from the top of their hoarse voices that our history did not begin with Rigvedic settlements, they wanted us to disown our history from which the idea of our nation, India, Bharat emanates, derives its historicity, its differentiation, its identity. They who wore the badges of being anti-nationals, who called Hinduism or Hindutva a regressive identity politics, never hesitated to promote identity politics which ran contrary to the idea of India- based on caste, religion and region.

They were succeeding for quite some time post-independence. They gave us, the people at large, three options for the origin for our nation to choose from – the establishment of Delhi Sultanate, the Advent of British Raj or the Partition of India. If you went beyond that, you were fanatic and a bigot. If you spoke about the tumultuous history of India under the tyranny of Islamic or British rule, again you were fanatic or a bigot.

Opening up the wounds of the past does not help anyone. Just as opening up the history of the so-called Brahminical injustice of faraway centuries to create a social imbalance in the present makes no sense. But they, the left-liberals, are fine with one but opposed to the other. A regional, casteist and communal identity furthered their agenda, a National identity was at cross-purpose with their objective. The government, the ecosystem under earlier government, was working for them, as under the socialist- communist ecosystem of Congress, they controlled all the thought-centres. It was a wonderful situation. They carried zero responsibility and enjoyed huge power. They controlled the narrative, they defined the idea which is India, as per their liking. They were happily preparing India for breaking up, while controlling the minds, much like 1984 of George Orwell. They had no need to directly become a part of the government when they could run it by proxy. Then the government changed.

The happily conceived plan of running the nation without accountability received the jolt. NAC and such extra-constitutional power structures came crumbling down. Ministers who would direct the law and order agencies to create narratives and kill narratives violence were suddenly busy covering the trails of their own corruption.

Now, what seems to be happening is that being smoked out after 2014, snakes are coming out of their holes. Once out of their dark holes, they find the snake-charmers out waiting for them, with cash and committee both on offer, in return for creating a havoc in the nation, getting them back to power.

From opposing the democratic politics for long, now they are getting into the thick of it. Candidates are being propped with Naxal and Jihadi link. Electoral alliances are being struck with organizations under investigation for terror links. If we are not careful, law and order conniving with criminals will be a thing of past; criminals will be a part of it, they will run it. Congress is desperate and does not mind stepping over the corpses to reach the throne again.

Today we have Home Minister reporting to the nation about how we are winning the war over the Naxals, if things continue unchecked, in the Congress scheme of things, we might have a Naxal as a Home Minister as a part of the poll alliance. We are already witnessing Congress forming governments which officially and shamelessly claims not to be accountable to the people.

It is not the time to tolerate the politics of platitude. It is not a time to encourage rhetoric. It is not a time for witty wickedness. It is a time to speak and to be counted, stand to be noticed. It is the nation which is at stake. Our identity of India, that is Bharat, is at stake. The ocean is churning and in the end, we will have a gulf cutting across the muddy waters. Once this storm settles down, we will find where we are left standing.

This battle will be fought in the minds of its people. We need to learn our history and reclaim our past, our true identity, which transcends the divisive agenda. Go back and know ourselves. Is that not the first step before we step into a battle, any battle? This war will be fought internally as well as externally. It is a war on our national conscience. Did Dr Ambedkar not warn us about this in his speech, The Grammar of Anarchy, exactly what the leftists and the so-called Ambedkarites are trying to perpetrate on our nation when he said- “Will Indians place the country above their creed or will they place creed above country? I do not know. But this much is certain that if the parties place creed above country, our independence will be put in jeopardy a second time and probably be lost forever. This eventuality we must all resolutely guard against. We must be determined to defend our independence with the last drop of our blood.”

We are on the cusp of change. If we are not careful, even history will not remember us. The minds which were earlier content playing through their foot soldiers in the dense forests of Chattisgarh and deep valleys of Kashmir are out in open. Haven’t we seen professors and journalists debating and sometimes commenting – We must stop Modi, we have to fight against him?

They are brilliant minds, who ruled over us without being in power. They are out of their caves, down from their ivory towers and they are angry about it. They are making alliances, creating a narrative. They stepped in and took over an innocent and frustrating war of the people against corruption. Now the veils are down, daggers are out in the open. We see fake narratives being built, imaginary fault-lines being created and then, dug further deep.

The Social media presence now spills on to real life. You take most civilized offence on their most offensive word, and you will be pounced upon as fascist. You make the most factual and innocent remark which goes against their agenda, they will come together like a pack of wolves to hunt you down. What they are not able to do in India, they do elsewhere.

We are busy winning our silly skirmishes on social media, as they hound the innocents. Each vote we cast, each election we partake in, each debate we participate in, defines the world we leave behind, decides what lives our kids we will offer to our kids. Will they be a green, happy leaf on the Banyan tree of world’s oldest civilization or will they be a rootless, dead, dry leaf, left to float unconnected with the world around them, helpless in a hostile wind? Every word, every soul counts. A nation, well, a nation is just an Idea. A very fragile one. If we are not careful, it might not last the winter.

Modi government proceeds to form strict rules to punish NRI husbands who abandon or harass spouse

An inter-ministerial panel is considering to implement very strict rules to address thousands of complaints received by the respective ministries of cases where NRI husbands either abandon or harass their wives. According to reports, the panel met yesterday and decided to implement stricter rules.

The panel includes MEA Sushma Swaraj, WCD Maneka Gandhi, Home Minister Rajnath Singh and Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad. According to reports, the inter-ministerial panel has decided to make registration of marriage mandatory for the NRIs and update their passports with their marital status. Failure to update their marital status in passports within a stipulated time might even get the passports of the NRIs revoked. The group of ministers have reportedly decided that soon the necessary changes will be made in the Passport Act.

The Law Ministry has reportedly agreed to incorporate the necessary clause in the Registrations of Birth and Deaths Act, 1969. The panel also reportedly decided to put up the legal summons for absconding NRIs on the official website of the Ministry of External Affairs. Such summons will be then considered ‘deemed to have been served’. This decision has been taken after considering the fact that hundreds of NRIs simply do not respond to the legal summons or just keep changing their addresses to avoid the summons. The Home Ministry has already agreed to changes in the Code of Criminal Procedure that will consider the summons on the MEA website as ‘served’.

The ministries of external affairs and women and child development have reportedly suggested the attachment of properties owned by the NRI husband in the country in case he abandons his wife. But the law ministry has reportedly suggested that the in case the husband does not own properties, the attachment of shared parental property might not be legally tenable. The Law Ministry has reportedly been asked by the panel to consider the proposal and revert with suggested ways within a week’s time.

The passports of NRIs who do no responds to legal summons will also be revoked. The panel has agreed that the necessary amendments in the Code of Criminal Procedure, Registrations and Passport Acts will be worked upon and after legal scrutiny, the moves will be shaped into a cabinet proposal.

Aam Aadmi Party crosses all lines of decency, puts up insensitive poster during protests

Aam Aadmi Party supremo Arvind Kejriwal has created an army of crass zombies who think they’re being disruptive in the Indian political landscape when they’re actually just being a nuisance. On 13th June protest march against the Delhi LG Anil Baijal carried out by Aam Aadmi Party supporters, a poster had reportedly been spotted which read as an ‘appeal’ by all Delhi citizens.

The insensitive poster appeared in a protest march carried out by Aam Aadmi Party.

‘Delhi demands before Atal, take away Anil’. The poster refers to Atal Bihari Vajpayee, former Prime Minister of India, whose ailing health is being used by politicians like Congress President Rahul Gandhi to score political points. Reaching a new low in politics, AAP demanded ‘dismissal’ of Anil before ‘dismissal’ of Atal, using the term ‘dismissal’ as a creative euphemism. However, AAP seems to have distanced itself from the poster claiming the poster was not by them and got the poster removed.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia, health minister Satyendra Jain and transport minister Gopal Rai have been camping inside Delhi LG Anil Baijal’s residence at Raj Bhavan demanding LG issues written orders to get IAS officers, who are not even on strike, to get back to work from the strike. Earlier this year, in February, Delhi Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash had accused that AAP MLAs had assaulted him and threatened him with false cases in front of Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal. The IAS Association took a strong stand against the incident and condemned it. The Association wrote that while they will continue to work, they will register their protest against the incident by wearing a black badge. In fact, on 11th June as well, the IAS Association had released a statement which asserted that there has been no strike and they have been working all these months, sometimes, even on holidays.

This is not the first time the Delhi LG has faced such insensitivity from people associated with the Aam Aadmi Party. In May, following his nephew Vinay Bansal’s arrest in connection to PWD scam, Arvind Kejriwal’s wife Sunita Kejriwal took to Twitter to hit out on the Delhi LG in what appeared to be a veiled threat to ‘stop harassing’ her widowed sister. Arvind Kejriwal, too, has left no stone unturned when it comes to lowering bars of decency, from dishing out defamatory statements to allegedly assaulting his chief secretary.

‘Quit BJP in 15 days or die’ : Muslim BJP MLA from Assam receives threat letter with bullets

Aminul Haque Laskar, the lone Muslim MLA for the BJP in Assam, has received a threat letter wherein he is asked to quit the BJP if he wants to stay alive, New Indian Express has reported. Laskar is a MLA from southern Assam’s Sonai constituency.

Going by the report, the letter along with two live bullets was received by the MLA on Saturday via India Post. As per a Hindustan Times report, these bullet are believed to be of a .32 pistol. The three page letter written in red ink was supposedly sent by an organisation named, “Save Secure and Development Protection Force of Muslim, Barak Valley Zone”.

Written in Bengali, the letter criticises Laksar for being associated with the BJP and RSS, despite being a Muslim. It also claimed that the MLA is responsible for convincing Muslim youths to join the BJP and even speaking up against his own community.

Following this, the letter expressed anger at Laskar supporting the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2016 – which aims at legalising persecuted illegal migrants belonging to Hinduism, Sikhism, Jainism, Buddhism, Zoroastrianism and Christianity.

Irked by Laskar’s support to the bill, the letter warns that his building can be destroyed within two minutes and he won’t survive, despite all the security around him. The letter thus demanded that Laskar quit the BJP within 15 days if he wished to stay alive.

As per a NeNow report, the threat letter was signed by a man named “Haidar Hussain Khan” who claimed to be the vice-president of the said organisation. Following the receiptal of the letter, the MLA filed a complaint at the Silchar Sadar police station.

The MLA while speaking to the media claimed that his security had been reviewed following the threats, and a total of four security guards would protect him. Besides this, he claimed that more CCTV cameras will be installed at his home.

0

We are back with another episode of ‘The Opindia Recap’ by Sham Sharma, an MBA student at the Roosevelt University, Chicago and a sales professional.

Letters surfaced recently which spoke about an elaborate plan by the Maoists to eliminate Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a “Rajiv Gandhi style incident”. Surprisingly, the letter also mentioned how the Maoists were in contact with the Congress party for legal and financial help.

This came soon after 5 Maoists, one of whom was Rona Wilson, were arrested in connection with the Bhima Koregaon violence.

No sooner had the letter surfaced, did the “liberals” start making light of it and questioning its authenticity.

Sham tears into the liberals here and dissects the assassination plot as detailed in the letter.
