Congress and AAP, a love hate relationship or pure opportunism?

0

In an interview to WION, Delhi Congress chief Ajay Maken has stated that the Aam Aadmi Party is being rejected by the people of Delhi and the Congress should not supply it with political oxygen. He even added that Congress should not get into a political alliance with AAP for 2019 general elections. This comes both as surprising and amusing because just days ago AAP had declared that Congress has sought their alliance.

Aam Aadmi Party was founded on the basis of a promise to challenge the corruption of Congress and its leaders. Arvind Kejriwal gathered media highlights and political posturing from the ‘India against corruption’ movement and launched his own political party. But the people of Delhi soon discovered that AAP was just Congress (or worse) in a new packaging.

Kejriwal had made big claims that he would expose the corruption of Sheila Dixit and provide clean and fair governance to Delhi. Exposing Sheila Dixit was quickly forgotten and instead, Delhi landed in a mess of anarchist, lying and misleading bullies.

Over the years, Congress and AAP have shown a strange pattern in their love-hate relationship. They unite against the BJP, but when the narrative does not suit their respective agendas, they kick each other off. In recent times, it has only got more and more predictable. In the meantime, issues of Delhi remain unsolved. Just like their alliance government that lasted only months, the AAP-Congress relationship, like their politics, is based only on gains and personal agendas.

In the past, AAP and Congress have ganged up whenever there was an opportunity to blame and criticise the central government, be it the imaginary issues of EVM tampering or demonetisation. When one looks at their rhetorics and actions over the years, it becomes increasingly clear that both parties have no respect for ideological values whatsoever. AAP nominated Sushil Gupta, a businessman who was a former Congress leader and vocal Kejriwal critic to the Rajya Sabha. Ajay Maken had expressed his surprise and disappointment over Gupta’s party hopping at that time.

Recently AAP and Congress reportedly had an ‘informal discussion’ about seats about a pre-2019 alliance against BJP. AAP had claimed that senior leaders of Congress have sought AAP’s co-operation in the upcoming general elections in Delhi. Barely a day had passed when AAP hosted its official iftar party in Delhi and not a single Congress leader, was there to be seen. Not a single AAP leader has been invited to the grand iftar being hosted by Rahul Gandhi in the capital’s Taj Palace Hotel later today.

For the last few days, the ever-dramatic AAP has decided to target the Delhi Lieutenant Governor again and blame him and BJP for all their failures. The constant excuse of the LG not letting them work was condemned by former Congress CM Sheila Dikshit too.

The fact that Congress is willing to go to desperate measure to secure power is well demonstrated in the aftermaths of Karnataka elections. Congress, which has 80 assembly seats as of today, handed over the CM’s chair to JDS over a silver platter. The party went into some extraordinary lengths to secure just a fragment of power in Karnataka. The fact that its senior leaders are showing such apprehension over an alliance with AAP only strengthens the speculations that AAP has fallen beyond political salvation.

Prominent secularist Shahzahan Bachchu shot dead in Bangladesh; Islamist hand suspected

Shahzahan Bachchu – a prominent writer and secularist was shot dead in Bangladesh on Monday evening, PTI has reported. As per the report, 60-year-old Bachchu was an outspoken proponent of secularism and owned the publishing house Bishaka Prokashoni. He was murdered in his ancestral village of Kakaldi, falling under the Munshiganj district.

The report which also quotes the Dhaka Tribune claimed that on the fateful day, Bachchu was out to meet a few if his friends in a pharmacy when five assailants arrived on two motorbikes. First they created panic by detonating a crude bomb outside the pharmacy and then dragged Bachchu, following which he was shot dead.

It is being claimed that Islamist extremists might be behind the attack, even though no group has claimed responsibility till now. The report has claimed that in the past Bacbchu had been threatened by extremists for his secular views.

A BD-News24 report has claimed that Bachchu, who was the former general secretary of Bangladesh Communist Party, died instantly on the spot. His body was later sent to the Munshiganj General Hospital for a postmortem.

As per an ANI report, the police are now investigating the matter as part of other such killings which have taken place in the past.

Bangladesh incidentally is no stranger to such murders of “dissident voices”.

Famously in February 2015, Avijit Roy – an atheist and advocate of secularism was hacked to death in Dhaka, while returning from a book fair along with his wife. Then in October of that year, Avijit’s publisher – Faisal Arefin Dipan, too was murdered.

Some of the views aired by Avijit included likening religious extremism to a highly contagious virus. Owing to his views, he was a regular recipient of death threats from Islamist terrorists.

Such killings kept continuing in 2016 when an atheist blogger and a critic of Islamism – Nazimuddin Samad was murdered in the country’s capital.

Columbia Asia faces a case of medical negligence after allegedly giving wrong blood to a pregnant woman

One of the premium medical institutions in Kolkata, Columbia Asia Hospital is facing a case of medical negligence. The family of a patient accused the hospital staff of infusing blood of a wrong group during surgery, following which Baishaki Saha, the patient, has been on ventilation since 5th June.

Saha complained of severe stomach ache and consulted a gastroenterologist. There she was advised to consult a gynaecologist. She was three weeks pregnant at that point in time. The gynaecologist informed her husband that she is suffering from fallopian tube leak and needed a surgery.

Her husband, talking to a news organization, detailed the ordeal affected by the family he said that she spoke to him normally before she was wheeled into the operation theatre on 5th June. The doctors stated that his wife’s operation was successful but she needs blood. He is sure that despite his wife having A + blood group, she was administered blood of a different group. The doctors allegedly admitted the wrongdoing in front of the husband and within hours, the woman slipped into a coma.

The hospital, however, denied any charge and stated that all claims made by the family were incorrect. The hospital in a statement stated that after the completion of the surgery and the blood transfusion, the condition of the 31-year old complicated. There is a specialist team of doctors who are ‘aggressively’ treating the woman. The patient has also shown signs of gradual improvement and likely to be weaned off the ventilator in the next 24 hours.

Fresh charge sheet filed against Karti Chidambaram in Aircel-Maxis case under Money Laundering Act

The enforcement directorate has filed fresh charge sheet against former Finance Minister P Chidambaram’s son Karti Chidambaram today at Delhi’s Patiala House Court. According to reports, four other associates in his different business ventures are also charged under section 4 of Prevention of Money Laundering Act.

According to reports, although P Chidambaram is named at various places in the charge sheet, he has not been named as an accused yet. The ED has reportedly stated that it might file a supplementary charge sheet in the case too. Additional sessions judge Ruby Alka Gupta reportedly set July 4th as the next date when the court will consider the charge sheet.

The current case reportedly pertains to FIPB clearances issued to the Global Communications Holding Services Ltd for investment in Aircel. The case emerged out of the 2G spectrum scandal investigations.

Karti was arrested by the CBI in the Chennai airport earlier this year in relation to the INX media scam. He was accused of taking bribes for getting private firms FIPB clearance when his father was the finance minister. Karti’s father P Chidambaram has already been questioned by the ED twice over his involvement in the Aircel Maxis case. The Patiala House Court has granted P Chidambaram an interim protection from arrest by the ED till July 10th.

The Chidambarams, including Karti’s wife and mother, are also under investigation by the Income Tax department over allegations of undisclosed foreign assets. Last month, the Income Tax department had filed multiple cases against them under the black money act.

Perils of historical amnesia : Hindus have forgotten about a thousand years of Islamic persecution

0

It is just a history textbook. Why should we bother about it? Let us worry about more important issues like jobs, highways, education, smart cities and Swacch Bharat. Why does the government want to bother about trivial things like history?

This is the rhetoric of a strong proponent of ‘Vikas’ on the right wing. The rhetoric of an anti-BJP and anti-RSS leftist is also the same. Both believe that forgetting controversial parts of history and forcing down whitewashed secular history is probably the best option for a society like India which has been invaded, plundered and divided over millennia starting from Muhammed Ghori (in 1192 AD).

Proponents of Vikas fail to realise that the civilisational battle is a long-term project and cultural heritage of a country should be protected in order to preserve the development achieved in the long term. Kerala has nearly 100 percent literacy, but some people are so barbaric that they slaughter a cow on camera. Is this the Vikas that we want?

A large majority of Hindus (especially the educated ones) are confused about their own identity. They are not worried about preservation/defence of their own culture. Instead, they are stuck in a state of Stockholm syndrome as far as history is concerned. Admiration for British and Mughals are symptoms of this disease.

The need for awareness about the persecution of Hindus under Islamic rulers has come to the forefront again. People are threatened with their livelihoods for expressing their views about Islamic onslaught on Hindus. Chef Atul Kochhar had to apologise profusely for tweeting about ‘Hindus being terrorised by Islam’. His tweet had a factual error as far as the figure ‘2000 years’ is concerned.

The argument of the mob out to punish him is: how can you insult Islam while making money in a Muslim country? Somehow these mobs fail to understand that lakhs of Muslims who are citizens of India take pride in routinely insulting Hindu sentiments by indulging in cow slaughter (thanks to Nehru).

Trolls and Restaurant aggregators go after celebrity chef's livelihood after he highlights persecution of Hindus by Islamists
Atul Kochhar tweet

If Indian government had included chapters about temple destruction by Islamic invaders, Aurangzeb’s atrocities on non-Muslims, brutal Calcutta killings,  communal violence launched by Razakars of Hyderabad and Kashmiri Pandit exodus in the textbooks, we would not have had a situation where a Hindu would be called a bigot for stating the truth.

We have been taught about large hearted Akbar and his Ibadat Khana while ignoring atrocities of Aurangzeb. We fail to understand that Akbar adopted a conciliatory stance on Hindus only after he had subjugated and conquered Hindu rulers. The Taj Mahal captivates the Indian mind while obscuring the fact that hundreds of temple ruins lie scattered in many states of India. This has drowned the entire country in historical amnesia and enabled persecution of those who dare to raise their voice on these issues.

Instances where Islam terrorised Hindus

Historical amnesia will not affect us immediately. The whitewashing of religious bigotry in history will make us forget Hindu persecution at the hands of Islamic invaders.

  • Quwwat-Ul-Islam mosque:  The Quwwut-Ul-Islam mosque in Qutub Minar complex of Delhi was built with the ruins of 27 Hindu and Jaina temples. It was built by one of the earliest Sultans of Delhi, Qutubuddin Aibak. The name ‘Quwwat Ul Islam’ literally means ‘glory of Islam’. Is this not an onslaught of Islam on Hinduism? A similarly converted mosque named Adhai Din Ka Jhonpra was built on the orders of Muhammed Ghori in Ajmer during the same period.
  • Aurangzeb’s reign of terror: No matter how much of whitewashing is done by the likes of Audrey Truschke, we are well aware that Aurangzeb unleashed a reign of terror. Temple destruction was unabated and Jizya reintroduced in his territory. According to the book ‘The Great Big Book of Horrible Things‘, 4.6 million people were killed under Aurangzeb’s rule. The Gyanvapi mosque stands as a testimony to the stellar contribution of Aurangzeb to the ‘composite culture’ or ‘Ganga-Jamuni Tehzeeb‘ of India.
  • Ruins of Hampi: Books and historians fail to tell a story more convincing than the ruins of Hampi (erstwhile Vijayanagar empire’s capital). All temples of Hampi except one were razed down by a combined force of Bahmani, Ahmednagar, Berar, Bijapur and Golkonda kingdoms during the battle of Talikota. All of them were Islamic kingdoms which ruled over parts of Deccan plateau. The vibrant city was sacked so badly that it was reduced to rubble and vacated after the battle of Talikota.
  • Razakar atrocities on the village of Gorata: The Nizam of Hyderabad wanted to join Pakistan or remain as an independent state in the post-independence scenario. If not for Operation Polo, the rampage of Nizam’s private militia called Razakars would have heaped more atrocities on the Hindu subjects of Nizam’s kingdom. The onslaught of Razakars on the village of Gorata has been documented as below by KM Munshi ( a leading Congressman) in his book ‘The End of an Era: Hyderabad Memories’: “All around the village, the dead bodies of animals were seen lying in a decomposed state. Heaps of human skeletons and bones and half-burnt dead bodies were seen lying even at the time of our visit to different places in the whole village. The village of Gorta is completely desolate, the houses and the localities have been entirely ruined… The loss is estimated at Rs 70 lakh”.
  • Mappila/Moplah riots in Kerala: While the Congress and Mahatma Gandhi were singing the song of Hindu-Muslim unity during the Khilafat movement, Muslims in Kerala went about murdering and converting Hindus. They drove away 100,000 Hindus from the state during this bloody chapter of history. Annie Besant described the events in her book ‘The Future of Indian Politics’ as below: “They murdered and plundered abundantly, and killed or drove away all Hindus who would not apostatize. Somewhere about a lakh of people were driven from their homes with nothing but the clothes they had on, stripped of everything. Malabar has taught us what Islamic rule still means, and we do not want to see another specimen of the Khilafat Raj in India”

There are many more instances which one can quote to substantiate the fact that Hindus have been terrorised by radical Islam. Hindus are not safe in a modern nation – state like India if Muslims become a majority in any state. Kashmir is a trailer for Hindus of rest of India.

In addition to this, Hindus, the Sikhs have also martyred to save their religion from the Mughals. Guru Tegh Bahadur, Guru Arjan, Bhai Mati Das, Bhai Dayala have laid down their lives for refusing to convert to Islam. Had they succumbed to fear and yielded to Islamic terror, Sikhs would not have found the strength to endure the tough times under Islamic rule.

Forgetting all these historical events for the sake of ‘communal harmony’ or ‘secularism’ is not at all a fair proposition. We must never forget the barbarian nature of these events and ensure that such acts are condemned by one and all. Burying these historical facts to shield minorities from ’embarrassment’ will only embolden religious fanatics and extremists.

People on Social Media start #BoycottJWMarriott campaign after the hotel terminated Atul Kochhar’s contract

Chef Atul Kochhar was hounded recently by trolls for a tweet that highlighted the Islamic persecution of Hindus. The tweet was made after the Chef was not entirely happy over Priyanka Chopra’s apology for the infamous Quantico episode which described Hindus as terrorists.

Since then, Kochhar has had his livelihood attacked after JWDubai Marquis terminated his contract. Islamists and leftists have been celebrating ever since in what they claim to be a victory over bigotry. However, many people have been unhappy over the manner in which the Chef was treated and claim it is another instance of Islamist persecution of Kafirs.

Following the termination of the contract by the hotel, people on social have started demanding that their hotels be boycotted.

It remains to be seen whether the boycott has any desirable effect. It should be remembered that Priyanka Chopra and the ABC was forced to apologize after a public outrage over her role in Quantico.

Enforcement Directorate seizes Lalu and his family’s under-construction mall

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has seized an under-construction mall in Patna on Tuesday which was being built by Lalu Prasad Yadav, convicted in the Fodder scam case, and his family. As per reports, Tejashwi Yadav, Tej Pratap Yadav and Lalu’s daughters, Chanda and Ragini are among the directors of the mall.

Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar, Sushi Kumar Modi, had alleged that Tejashwi Yadav, RJD leader and son of Lalu, had begun construction on the mall without getting clearances from the concerned authorities. Last year, the Union Environmental Ministry had put a halt on the construction of the mall asserting that approval had not been taken from the department for its construction.

Tejashwi Yadav has claimed that they are being unfairly targeted. He said, “There were attacks earlier as well there is nothing new in it, the matter will be clear once it is in the court.” The mall was slated to be the biggest mall in Bihar but the ED has attached the land after halting the construction.

Things haven’t been going well for the RJD with Lalu Prasad Yadav’s conviction in the Fodder Scam and news of rifts between his sons. Its leaders appear to have become paranoid with Tejashwi even claiming that Bihar CM Nitish Kumar was trying to poison his food. The party also received a notice from the Income Tax Department for expenses incurred during a flop anti-BJP rally. Tej Pratap Yadav had also received a notice for allegedly claiming false ownership of a land for a petrol pump. Lalu’s daughter and son-in-law have also found themselves embroiled in a land scam.

The Atul Kochhar case proves that under liberalism or Islamism, it is the Kafirs who suffer

The way a ruling class keeps its power is by sowing fear in the minds of dissenters. The trick is to maintain a zero-tolerance policy, by handing down swift and ruthless punishment to anyone who steps out of line and creating a public spectacle out of it.

For example, the BJP recently put up a spirited performance in panchayat polls in Purulia in West Bengal. India’s liberal establishment was not amused. The response was chilling.

Untitled.png

The message sent to the people of Bengal, in the words of George Orwell, could be described thus:

“Thoughtcrime does not entail death. Thoughtcrime IS death.”

Remember that hanging opponents as a public spectacle is a time-honoured tactic of oppressors: slaves who tried to escape were often punished this way in the American south. The Taliban and ISIS took to public hanging of their enemies when they seized control of some area.

But Trilochon Mahato and Dulal Kumar were both poor. The secular establishment hunted both men for sport without facing any consequences. But what does the establishment do when the offender happens to be a rich celebrity chef like Atul Kochchar?

Untitled.png

They can’t do to him what they did to Trilochon Mahato and Dulal Kumar. He is too rich for that.

So how do they hunt him down? Luckily for them, Atul Kochhar happens to work in UAE (Dubai), an absolute monarchy run by Islamic law. And now, it might so happen that Kochhar will face five years in jail. For a tweet. For a tweet that spoke of how Hindus have been terrorised by Islam for centuries.

If only he had been insulting some other religion, say Hinduism, you know that Atul Kochhar would have 10-20 Thinkfest invitations piling up in his inbox by now. He would have become an instant intellectual, perhaps even a “free speech warrior.” But he chose to speak out against the wrong religion and paid the price.

Soon after, Kochhar began apologizing profusely. But it was already too late. Thought leaders of Lutyens’ Delhi took great relish in his predicament.

Untitled.png
That’s right. Praise from a ‘liberal’ for those parts of the world where there could be a five-year jail sentence for a tweet.

Fortunately, Kochhar does not have the misfortune to be in Saudi Arabia or he might have been executed for insulting Islam. There is a possibility liberals would have applauded that too.

Untitled.png

Soon after, Rana Ayyub shared with the world the news that Atul Kochhar has been fired by J W Mariott in Dubai.

A celebrity chef, Atul Kochhar, taken down by the perfect combination of liberalism and Sharia law.

You might remember that a few days ago, Rana Ayyub had approached the UN Human Rights Organization to speak on her behalf. This time, however, she wasn’t interested in free speech and human rights and all that. This time she wanted to talk to a big multi-national corporation whose business depends on the whims of the Islamic monarchy that rules the UAE.

Observe that the end result is always the same: that kafirs are bad. Depending on the issue at hand, either human rights laws or Sharia laws are used to justify this end.

This scissor-like approach, with liberalism being one jaw and Islamism being the other, has proved devastatingly effective in subduing the civilized world.

Ask them if elements on JNU campus who raised “Bharat ke tukde” slogans should face punishment for their actions?

They would say “No,” because, you know, free speech.

But Aligarh Muslim University recently banned one student and four ex-students from any campus activity because they made fun of an Islamic religious slogan. Ask them about that.

They will turn their faces away. Because, you know, Aligarh Muslim University exists outside the framework of the Indian Constitution.

Because it’s a one-way street. What is theirs is theirs? What is ours is negotiable?

The same applies to America. There is a furore when America decides to temporarily ban citizens from seven Muslim majority nations from entering their territory. But what about 16 Islamic countries that have permanently banned all Israeli citizens from entering their territory?

Well, that doesn’t matter. Because these countries never claimed to be secular, no moral standards apply to them whatsoever. They can do whatever they want. How convenient!

By the way, the list of nations that permanently bar Israeli citizens from entry includes our dear neighbours Pakistan and Bangladesh, as also the UAE that our liberals are currently swooning over. Because, you know, “bigotry is non-negotiable” in the UAE.

But the best example of this pincer-like movement crushing non-believers around the world is what happened with Germany and the Syrian refugees. The rich Gulf states wouldn’t take in a single refugee. So the onus was on Europe to take all the Syrian refugees in. This cartoon explains it best.

Untitled.png

Because Germans have a heart and the rich Islamic states of the Gulf never claimed to have a heart. In fact, the voices of the many waves of refugees who now live in Germany are being magnified by the liberal establishment to create a vocal pressure group to force their European hosts to bend over even more backwards than they already have.

On the other hand, the Islamic world faces no moral imperative to help their fellow human beings. In other words, the joint forces of Islamism and liberalism have created a penalty for tolerance rather than for intolerance.

Today they have made an example out of Atul Kochchar for stepping out of line against the liberal-Islamist consensus. Tomorrow it could be you. The liberal establishment demands total obedience and total conformity. Are you prepared to live like this for the rest of your life? And leave your children and their children after them to live under the establishment boot?

Or will you dare to dream?

Islamist and leftists trolls claim victory as JWDubai Marquis terminates contract with Atul Kochhar

The Michelin-Star chef Atul Kochhar, has paid a hefty price for speaking his mind. In a latest development in chef Atul Kochhar’s predicament, as tweeted by controversial journalist Rana Ayub the star chef’s contract with JWDubai Marquis has been terminated.

JWDubai Marquis, with whom the star chef was attached, seemed to be in no mood to forgive him even after his self-reproach, and yesterday decided to terminate his contract with the hotel. OpIndia contacted the hotel and confirmed the termination of the said contract.

Before the chef’s contract was terminated, Kochhar had posted an unconditional apology for his tweet. Many did believe that this apology was owing to the severe backlash, threats and possibility of prosecution in UAE, a country that mostly disregards freedom of expression and takes cases of ‘blasphemy’ against Islam very seriously. Much like our homegrown ‘liberals’.

The Indian-origin chef in the United Arab Emirates had landed in a controversy after he posted an allegedly anti-Islam tweet. As soon as he tweeted highlighting the age-old Islamist persecution of Hindus, the leftists and Islamists on social media attacked him with all their might.

Atul, one of those, sceptical about Priyanka Chopra’s apology, slammed her for not respecting the Hindu sentiments by tweeting,

After the social media outrage, Atul Kochhar apologised, incidentally without refuting the persecution of Hindus which he had highlighted earlier.

“Liberals”, somehow not convinced kept hounding the celebrity chef, with the restaurant aggregator named “Halal Gems” issuing a statement about them no longer carrying information about his restaurants.

It is amusing to watch the so-called liberals who scream the loudest about “intolerance in Modi’s India” stoop to a level where they have managed to endanger someone’s life and livelihood for merely pointing out a historically established fact. It is also amusing that it is the same liberals who take immense pride in denigrating Hinduism.

Kerala: BJP worker questions CPIM MLA over infrastructure, arrested for ‘insulting woman and creating communal hate’

In a bizarre incident, a BJP worker has been arrested for writing about the dilapidated condition of Pathanamthitta bus stand and calling the attention of the Aranmula CPI (M) MLA, Veena George. S Sooraj, admin of Facebook page ‘BJP Elanthur’ was arrested under provisions for posting a derogatory comment against the MLA.

The post said, “Dear MLA madam it would be helpful if you can address the issue after beauty parlours and Orthodox dinners. Madam, you have government vehicle to travel. Otherwise, there would be enough vehicles of the Church or Muthoot. The voters have no other means, madam.”

Sooraj, who was charged with section 158 IPC (giving provocation with the intention of causing violence), was later released on station bail. On 2nd June ‘BJP Elanthur’ had posted a photograph of water logging in Pathanamthitta bus stand with the above description.

The MLA, Veena George, claimed that she filed a complaint against Sooraj for ‘insulting’ women and attempting to create communal hatred, disregarding the fact that he was merely pointing out the dismal condition of the bus stand. “The Facebook post is meant to create communal hatred and insult me as a woman. I can’t remain silent towards such a post.” Veena said.

Since then, many have criticised Veena George for her complaint against Sooraj and supported the cause of Sooraj, who said he had nothing personal against the legislator and even refused to withdraw the Facebook post.

This is not the first time the ruling CPI(M) leaders have attempted to silence those who question them. The alleged killing of RSS workers by certain CPIM workers had shocked the country.
