How the Communists have turned Kerala into killing fields

0

After a brief lull, political murders have returned to Kerala. A RSS swayamsevak was hacked to death by suspected CPM supporters in Kerala’s capital city Thiruvananthapuram.

34-year-old RSS worker Rajesh Edavakode was brutally attacked by 15 sword-wielding assailants on last Saturday (29 July) night. The attackers chopped up his left hand and he suffered serious injuries in his face, hands and legs. Edavakode succumbed to his injuries in a private hospital later.

In Kerala, the list of political violence perpetrated by the communists is long. In last 13 months, 14 RSS workers have been killed by the communists. Out of these, 4 were Dalits and one woman member. A few of these killings that made to national news were:

  • 5 September, 2016: 25-year-old RSS worker Mavila Vineesh was hacked to death allegedly by CPM activists in Kannur.
  • 16 February, 2016: 27-year-old RSS worker PV Sujith was lynched in front of his aged parents at his house in Kannur allegedly by CPM workers. The assailants struck him with a pipe, broke his skull and bones and hacked him to death.
  • 12 October, 2016: 26 year old RSS worker Remith was hacked to death allegedly by CPM workers near a petrol pump when he was returning home. Remith met his fate 14 years after his father Uthaman – a RSS worker – was brutally killed allegedly by CPM workers.

When rebel Marxist leader was killed

The violence perpetrated by the communists is not limited to only the RSS and the BJP. TP Chandrasekharan, a rebel Marxist leader, was lynched by CPM workers on 4 May, 2012. Chandrasekharan, a former CPM leader, had floated a political outfit called Revolutionary Marxist Party and dared to question the CPM Czar. In January 2014, a Special Additional Sessions court convicted three CPM leaders, among 12, for murdering Chandrasekharan.

Why Marxist violence is on the rise against RSS-BJP?

The BJP was never a force in Kerala despite the strong presence of the RSS in the state. In the 2014 general election, the saffron party won 11 per cent vote share. BJP candidate O Rajagopal gave high profile Congress candidate Shashi Tharoor a run for his money in Thiruanthapuram Lok Sabha constituency, where the CPM candidate stood third.

In the 2015 local body polls, the party has improved its performance with its vote share rose to 16 per cent.

In the 2016 Assembly elections when UDF and LDF rotate power in the state, the BJP won 10.6 per cent of the popular votes and together with its ally Bharatiya Dharma Jana Sena (BDJS), the party won around 15 per cent vote share. For the first time, the lotus bloomed in Kerala Assembly. BJP candidate O Rajgopal won Nemam Assembly constituency defeating his CPM rival.

At a time the BJP is eying unconquered territories, Kerala features prominently in the party’s scheme of things. At the same time, the RSS has expanded its footprints further in the state. It could be noted that there has been a huge exodus of cadre from the CPM to the BJP.

All these developments have angered the CPM and hence the party is perpetrating violence against the RSS and the BJP workers.

For CPM, violence is as “political instrument”

Not just Kerala, even West Bengal had witnessed political killings while being under communist rule for long. The Marxist party is believed to maintain a “scoreboard” of how many political rivals have been eliminated. “Bengal model” and “Kannur model” are something the party is proud of. Kannur often evokes the images of bloodshed as the highest number of Marxist violence took place in this north Kerala district.

AP Abdullakutty, a former CPM MP from Kannur had revealed that the then CPM state secretary Pinarayi Vijayan, in a party meeting on 5 March, 2008, had asked CPM leaders in Kerala to implement the CPM’ “Bengal model of political killing” in Kerala. Abdullakutty said he along with top CPM leaders of Kerala attended the meeting where Vijayan made these shocking comments. Abdullakutty had claimed:

“Pinarayi Vijayan told us we should learn the art of political killing from Bengal CPM. They do it without shedding even a drop of blood. They kidnap people, bury their bodies in deep pit along with a sack of salt. The world never comes to know about the blood, photographs or the news about such killings.

I was shocked by Pinaray’s comments. My tongue had dried up…I left the party office in a disturbed state of mind. Later, when we were at Parliament, I enquired about this to West Bengal MP Anil Basu. Basu told me that what Pinarayi told was right. He said that Kerala line of killing is barbaric and in Bengal they don’t even shed a drop of blood and bury the enemies alive. He said that the outside world won’t even see a piece of bone.”

Postscript: Incidentally, Pinarayi Vijayan is now the Chief Minister who holds the crucial Home Ministry. It is the duty and the responsibility of the Chief Minister/ Home Minister to maintain the law and order.

Kerala Muslims being mobilised to become lawyers for fighting against “Islamophobic” judiciary

0

In June, an Islamic organisation by the name of Muslim Ekopana Samithi had carried out a protest march against a ruling of the Kerala High Court, which had annulled the conversion and subsequent marriage of a 24 year old Hindu girl.

The organisation had conveyed to the police that about 500 people would be participating in a protest, which was to be held in Kerala’s Ernakulum district, but about 5000 people turned up instead. The mob, which alleged that the verdict was unconstitutional and violated fundamental rights, soon turned violent. It overturned barricades and even started rushing towards the police, who then had to fire tear gas and water cannons to control them.

With a physical confrontation with judiciary not helping, things are being taken to the next level in Kerala as has been revealed in a exclusive investigative report by the Kochi Post.

According to that report, WhatsApp messages are being sent in “Muslim groups” which profess the need to have more lawyers from their community in order to fight against the injustice meted out to various Muslim youths by the Indian judiciary.

The message was translated by Kochi Post from Malayalam and was reportedly first sent in April. The message categorically asked the recipients to share it only in groups having Muslim members.

It alleged that most of the cases with Muslim defendants either resulted in their conviction or a compromise. It further claimed that there was a dearth of Muslim lawyers and Judges in India and gave some numbers of religion wise break up of Supreme Court strength. Then it claimed that the situation was the same in High Courts, District courts and Lower courts.

The message then tried to inflame the passions of the Muslim readers by claiming that thousands of youths were languishing in jails just because they had a Muslim name and that there weren’t enough lawyers to free them. It warned that if the Muslim community continued to turn its face away from the profession, it would worsen things.

The Kochi Post report also claimed that such messages were a clear violation of the section 153A of the IPC, which deals with the enmity being promoted between different groups on the basis of religion.

Such an urgency shown by the minority groups does make some sense, as legal activism has been one of the main cornerstone of the so-called pro-minority groups. The other focus are has been media activism, with “favourable” journalists and reporters covering incidents that “matter” to the community.

For example, AIMIM President Asaduddin Owaisi, who is also a lawyer, has in the past offered legal aid to 5 terror suspects belonging to an ISIS module. Recently, a former NDTV journalist who is now an AIMIM MLA from Maharashtra, was involved in sending back Taslima Nasreen, showing how law and media has always been focus areas of ‘Muslim activism’. There have also been allegations of presence of a whopping Rs. 100 crore fund, which is used to defend people who are suspected to have been ‘wrongly accused’ of terror charges based on their religion.

Website that exposed NDTV’s misdeeds claims to be under cyber attack

0

PGurus.com is a news and opinions website which is run by individuals who are based in California. The website which is predominantly “Right leaning” and has been well known for continually exposing the misdeeds of NDTV and its promoters, much before CBI or ED carried out raids.

To name a few, in December last year, it had reported how NDTV’s promoter Prannoy Roy had cheated the investors of NDTV and also siphoned off about 53 crores to his personal account. In March this year, PGurus had reported further alleged lies and fraud perpetrated by the media house.

The impact of its articles was such that the NDTV was forced to respond to the allegations. But rather than be dignified, the NDTV decided to resort to cheap name calling by terming PGurus as “PhoneyGurus” and in another case, responded to the allegations by terming the editorial team as, “Gurumurthy And His Fake-News Gang Of Four”.

Now it seems that this website has made more than its share of enemies. Today the official twitter account of the website claimed that it was a victim of a targeted cyber attack:

The website later in order to drive home its point shared a snapshot of the total threats it had encountered:

This isn’t the only time, those subscribing to the Right Wing ideology have been targeted by cyber bullies. We had earlier seen how various Right leaning twitter users had witnessed attempts to hack their accounts. Even OpIndia too had faced such issues last year.

Note: The problem with PGurus now appears to have been resolved as the website was running smoothly when we last checked.

Former Trinamool worker’s house destroyed after 200 bombs kept by him explode

0

Police in Birbhum district of West Bengal are looking to catch a man whose house was found to be hoarding around 200 crude bombs. Police came to know about presence of these bombs after they accidentally exploded and destroyed the house as a result.

The incident took place at Demutita area of Lokpur village, which is about 50 Kms from Santiniketan at around 9.30 AM on Tuesday. Demutita residents claim that the house owner had been manufacturing and storing crude bombs in his house for the last two years.

The house owner is reported to be a man named Sheikh Samirchand, who was earlier a worker of Trinamool Congress, the party that is ruling West Bengal.

“The man who stored bombs in a house is a notorious criminal and backed by a Trinamool’s faction,” a police officer was quoted as saying by The Telegraph newspaper, tough Trinamool Congress is denying any connection with Sheikh or his activities.

But the villagers insist that the man was associated with the ruling party.

“Samirchand built this building three years ago and used it to manufacture and store bombs. He was involved in extortion and other criminal activities since he joined the Trinamool Congress. So, he was expelled from the party a year ago,” said a villager.

This is not the first time though that a house full of crude bombs has been linked with Trinamool Congress in the region.

Last year two men named Hafizul and Tarik Hussain, who were brothers of a Trinamool leader, were killed in Birbhum when the bombs they were reportedly making to attack a rival group exploded accidentally. In April this year, 8 people were killed similarly, again in Birbhum, while making bombs in a house allegedly belonging to a Trinamool worker . In May, around 70 live bombs were recovered in Chandipur village of the Birbhum district, causing panic in the area.

Huge cash recovered after Income Tax raids on Congress leader whose resort is housing Gujarat MLAs

Recently things have been pretty eventful for the Gujarat Congress. First its veteran leader Shankarsinh Vaghela quit the party, then it was soon hit by a mutiny of sorts after its MLAs started crossing over to the BJP.

This put the Congress party in a perilous spot, because if 7 more MLAs had resigned from the party, it would have meant that Ahmed Patel, the political adviser to Sonia Gandhi, would have lost his Rajya Sabha seat. In order to avoid this major embarrassment, the party decided to fly out and keep its remaining MLAs holed up in a Bangalore resort to prevent them from resigning.

This wasn’t a very popular move as the MLAs were flown to the resort at a time when Gujarat has been battered with massive rains. This gave out impression to the general public that “MLAs are enjoying when people are drowning”.

Now these group of MLAs are again in the news as the Bangalore resort, where they are ‘holidaying’, was raided by Income Tax officials who searched the premises belonging to Congress leader and Karnataka minister DK Shivakumar:

Although the government maintained that the raids were on properties owned by the Karnataka minister and not on Gujarat MLAs, Congress claimed it as a witch-hunt:

DK Shivakumar has been accused of involved in illegal mining and land scams earlier, and his inclusion in the ministry had raised eyebrows back in 2014.

Reportedly 39 locations linked to him were raided all throughout the country, which included cities like Delhi, Kanpur, Bengaluru & Doddanala. By the time this report was written, he was reportedly being questioned by the IT officials in their Bangalore office.

The raids also seem to have been successful to a certain extent as the officials have recovered Rs 5 crore in cash from his Delhi residence:

Another 2.5 crores rupees were also reported to have been recovered from his Karnataka residence.

Some reports suggest that the Congress leader tried to tear up some papers to hide those from the officials:

Gujarat or Rajya Sabha seat? Congress chose the latter

0

When Sasikala Natarajan “kidnapped” supporting MLAs and kept them hostage in a resort during the power struggle in Tamil Nadu following chief minister J. Jayalalitha’s demise, the then leader of opposition of Gujarat, Shankersinh Vaghela must have smirked and said “yeh pehle ho chuka hai” in his head.

In 1995, for the first time the BJP got majority and formed the government in Gujarat. Narendra Modi, who was then the National General Secretary of the BJP, favoured Keshubhai Patel over Shankersinh Vaghela, who had been an active RSS member and was even jailed during the Emergency.

Vaghela felt sidelined and within months he lead a coup and toppled his own party’s government. He flew out 45 supporting BJP MLAs to Khajuraho in Madhya Pradesh (where Digvijaya Singh of the Congress was the Chief Minister) and a middle ground was reached where neither Patel nor Vaghela would be the chief minister.

Suresh Mehta swore in as the chief minister in October, 1995 and his government lasted for 11 months before President’s Rule was brought in. In the election which followed, Vaghela fought through his own political outfit “Rashtriya Janta Party” and he swore in as the twelfth chief minister of Gujarat through outside support of Congress. Eventually, his political outfit merged into Congress.

However, in the next elections held in 1998, the BJP won again and since then, Gujarat has been a BJP stronghold. Of these twenty years, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has served as Gujarat’s Chief Minister for almost twelve years.

Now the upcoming 2017 Legislative Assembly elections in Gujarat are interesting for more reasons than one.

The BJP is facing twenty years’ anti incumbency. In these twenty years, Gujarat has seen an earthquake, riots and alleged fake encounters. But then, Gujarat has also witnessed rise in foreign investment, construction of Narmada canal spider network and better power and water connectivity.

But the most interesting thing is that just months before the Assembly elections, 3 Rajya Sabha seats from Gujarat are up for reelection. Of these, one seat is of Congress Rajya Sabha MP Ahmed Patel. Ahmed Patel is a 7 time MP from Gujarat (3 times Lok Sabha and 4 times Rajya Sabha) and also the political adviser to Congress President Sonia Gandhi.

Congress is a sinking ship. As many as 6 MLAs have resigned from the party and joined the BJP in Gujarat. Gujarat Congress has 51 MLAs (original 57, of which 6 resigned) and Patel needs 45 votes to retain his seat.

Last Friday, when Gujarat was inundated with floods, worst in a decade, Gujarat Congress flew 44 of the remaining MLAs to a resort in Bangalore to keep them from crossing over to the BJP. Banaskantha’s Dhanera was one of the worst affected areas in the floods. Their Congress MLA, Joitabhai Patel, was one of the 44 MLAs vacationing in Bangalore. When the citizens needed their elected leader in time of natural calamity, their leaders were not reachable because their phones were switched off.

To save ONE Rajya Sabha seat, Gujarat Congress gambled the entire state of Gujarat which goes to election later this year.

But as an observer of Indian politics for a few years now, I, honestly am not surprised.

Congress has historically gambled the entire nation to ensure the Family stays in power. Gujarat is no big deal.

Bihar Minister Khurshid Alam asked to remarry as his marriage became void due to chanting ‘Jai Shri Ram’

0

Khurshid Alam, the Minority Affairs minister in the Bihar government had on Friday chanted ‘Jai Shri Ram’ in the Bihar Assembly premises while talking to the media. He had also shown the media persons the sacred thread he wore on his wrist.

Kuhrshid then stated that he prays to both Ram and Rahim. He also claimed that the foundations of Islam were laid in brotherhood and that there was no room for hate in the religion.

While such claims are usually understood to be representative of a composite culture, some Islamic organisations understood them to be against Islam. A mufti (cleric) named Suhail Ahmed of Imarat-e-Shariya, an influential Islamic organisation in Patna, issued a fatwa that expelled the Minister from Muslim community.

This led to the Minister apologising for his statements and proclaimed beliefs. This came as a kind of u-turn as earlier the Minister had stated that he was not afraid of any such fatwa.

The Mufti also later clarified about the technicality of his fatwa by stating that the main problem was the Minister stating that he prays to both Ram and Rahim; a good Muslim must pray only to Allah and reject all other gods.

Now according to latest reports, some Islamic clerics feel that the apology of the Minister is still incomplete. Mohammed Salim Noori, the mufti of Darul-ul-Deoband, Saharanpur feels that such half-hearted apologies are not enough. While Sajid Rashidi, the chief of All India Imam federation, has reportedly stated that after being ostracised from Islam, one’s marriage also gets annulled. Hence the Minister has to again utter his wedding vows as soon as he reenters Islam. Apart from that the Minister has to again read the Kalma (religious verses).

Only yesterday we saw how an Islamic organisation had declared APJ Abdul Kalam a non-Muslim as he like Hindu gods and respected various gurus. However, there have been muted response to both the events from the secular-liberal ‘intelligentsia’, which likes to talk about ‘composite culture’.

After hijacking all ‘isms’, the left-liberals are now trying to hijack and kill Science

0

Back in January 2015, the Indian liberal ecosystem on social media erupted in loud jeers against Science and Technology minister Dr. Harshvardhan for stating the well established fact that Pythagoras Theorem had been known in India long before Pythagoras.

Huffington Post propaganda

The vast majority of fake news aims to turn lies into truth. The Left pulled off a veritable coup that day. It managed to spin truth into a lie.

Propagandists always have their eyes on science. Because science occupies such an exalted place in our collective psyche, we must forever be watchful of attempts by political lobbies to seize and control what is put out before the public in the name of science.

It is thus with extreme alarm that one must take note of the so called “March for Science” scheduled for August 9 in various Indian cities; a program that outlines its aims as follows :

March for Science propaganda

As everything with the Indian ‘liberals’ is, this one too is not original. The idea is copied from a “March for Science” that took place, mostly in the US, in April this year and was portrayed by some as an anti-Trump activism. However, let us look at the Indian context and facts about this “march”.

Article 51 A : a diabolical spin on Science

That the aim of this march is political  is immediate from the appeal to the spirit of Article 51A, i.e., the Fundamental Duties listed in the Constitution. This article was not part of the original Constitution, but was added by Indira/India Gandhi in the 42nd Amendment of 1976 at the height of the Emergency.

The democratic Constitution was supposed to empower the citizen with Fundamental Rights. These rights were gutted during the Emergency. Instead, Article 51A became the intellectual core of the Emergency, because it shifted the onus to the citizen, who must submit to the almighty state by means of Fundamental Duties.

And for good measure, Article 51A starts out by demanding that the citizen show respect to symbols of the state such as the Flag and the Anthem (wonder how leftists would feel about that today?). And by requiring every citizen to strive for excellence so as to keep raising the nation as a whole to higher levels.

As for the specific line that the “March for Science” folks are referring to, here it is in full:

“…. to develop the scientific temper, humanism and the spirit of inquiry and reform”

And now listen to Leon Trotsky describe the New Soviet Man that the Communists wanted to engineer :

“Man will make it his purpose to master his own feelings, to raise his instincts to the heights of consciousness, to make them transparent, to extend the wires of his will into hidden recesses, and thereby to raise himself to a new plane, to create a higher social biologic type, or, if you please, a superman.”

Suffice to say that science cannot flourish in the spirit of Article 51A, which was intended to emphasize obedience to the state rather than freedom of the individual. That a “March for Science” would make this relic of the Emergency the centerpiece of their thinking suggests that it is little more than a show of yearning for the return of the absolute power of the old Nehru Gandhi establishment.

China celebrates its past, India denigrates

When the Left stood their ground on the lie regarding Pythagoras theorem, it was obviously banking on their years of groundwork in the education system, sowing an inferiority complex deep into the minds of Indians. To the point that they were reasonably confident that the majority of educated Indians would reflexively reject any possibility of their own ancestors having produced anything of slightest value.

The Chinese on the other hand, have learned from the disaster of Mao’s “Great Leap Forward” 1958-1962, when the Communist Party tried to “modernize” the nation by cutting it off from its ancient roots. Among other things, it led to the death of an estimated 200-500 lakh people (no typo there!) Today, the Chinese take great pride in their ancient culture and achievements.

In 2015, Chinese scientist Tu Youyou received the Nobel Prize in medicine for her treatment of malaria that has saved millions of lives across the world. The key chemical involved was Artemisinin, which was discovered when Tu Youyou and her colleagues delved into medicinal herbs used by the Chinese for thousands of years.

Who’s to say that there aren’t similar gems hiding in the treasure trove of ancient India? We’ll probably never know because ancient Indian science has been stigmatized by liberal discourse to the point that our best minds will automatically be discouraged from investigating it.

And for the record, the Chinese knew about Pythagoras theorem as well much before Pythagoras. The Chinese boldly proclaim this to the world, as seen in this logo on the website of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

China respects it culture

I suppose there is no Huffington Post in China to turn their history into lies. Anyway…

Infusing science with anti-semitism

Looking at the “Appeal by Scientists” here on the website of the Breakthrough Science Society that is organizing the march, a telltale fact that emerges is that one of the “scientists” making the appeal is JNU professor Ayesha Kidwai. It is a disturbing fact that Ms. Kidwai is involved with the “Indian Campaign for Academic and Cultural Boycott of Israel”.

Islamist masquerading as scientist?

Those who want to slice up and divide knowledge (including scientific knowledge) based on the race, gender or nationality of who finds that knowledge cannot be seen as anything but enemies of science.

Does a scientific fact become less true if an Israeli person were to discover it? Should such a truth be boycotted? Is it not a foolish endeavor to try to boycott truth? How is this compatible with the spirit of scientific inquiry?

What kind of “scientist” would refuse to engage with a scientific idea because it came from someone in Israel?

Additionally, it must be noted that Ms. Ayesha Kidwai is not even a scientist (see official JNU profile here), but is still included in the list of “scientists” making the appeal. The only possibility that remains is that Ms. Kidwai has been included for purely political reasons, making the motives of the “March for Science” absolutely clear.

It should also be noted that passing off non-scientists in the disguise of scientists is standard operating procedure of  pseudo-scientific and anti-scientific initiatives.

Selective outrage

In keeping with the Left’s agenda of colonizing science, there has been a concerted effort to give widely publicity to superstitious / unscientific views expressed by members of the ruling BJP and its wider ideological parivar. As seen in the case of Pythagoras’ Theorem, the eagerness to drive this agenda has often overshadowed basic fact checking.

However, the left generally stays silent when it comes to supporting real science on the ground … such as the time they could have come out and supported the BJP government in Maharashtra in requiring Madrasas to teach Math & Science. But they didn’t. Because votes. Minor children missing out on a chance to learn science be damned.

The left wing’s love for science appears to exist only at the media propaganda level. For instance, Prime Minister Modi’s remarks on Ganesha and plastic surgery have been magnified into some kind of legendary anti-science statement. Leaving aside the established fact that plastic surgery may well have existed in ancient India (as grudgingly conceded later by some liberals), the fact is that political parties and politicians engaging with unscientific thinking is not new.

In early 2013, Shashi Tharoor had launched the “Tiranga bangle” along with fellow Congress MP Navin Jindal.

Shashi Tharoor promoting pseudo science

The “Tiranga bangle” claimed to work wonders for treating everything from arthritis to gout to carpal tunnel syndrome. In keeping with the noblest traditions of pseudo-science, little was disclosed about the scientific mechanism behind the “miracle bangle”, except informing us that it had been designed with “tri-vortex technology from South Africa”. At that time, Shashi Tharoor was even MoS for Human Resource Development, but his participation in propagating pseudo-science did not become an issue.

One could go on and give several other examples, but the grand daddy of unscientific remarks by top Indian politicians would be Pandit Nehru saying that the whole world sleeps at the stroke of the midnight hour in India instead of realizing that many parts of the world experience broad daylight when it is night over here! Again, Pandit Nehru’s famous words are often read with pride, with no admission of the astonishing scientific error contained therein. And yeah, don’t tell me I am indulging in literalism here, because I’m just adopting ‘liberal techniques’.

When it comes to the Left parties, the situation is even more grim. Based on their reading of Marx, the Communists have long opposed the Big Bang theory, which is the prevailing, well accepted cosmological model for the universe. Here is the official website of the CPI(M):

Communist propaganda

The “so called Big Bang Theory” an “idealistic and creationist view of the world”? Calling on the “working class” to defend Marxist thinking by proving that black holes do not exist?

This sounds like an extract from the Mad Hatter talking in Alice in Wonderland, but unfortunately this stuff is coming from the website of the CPI(M). Ironically, the same CPI(M) often claims to take the lead in protecting “scientific temper” and the so-called Science Rakshaks in the media and intelligentsia generally have little to say about the Communist war on science.

Now, I don’t know if Marx ever said that the Big Bang theory is wrong. Even if he did, it wouldn’t matter because he was not a physicist. But like any religious fundamentalist, the Communist takes a Boko Haram like approach to science, rejecting outright any idea that in his imagination appears to contradict something in his holy book. And calls upon the working class (i.e., the faithful) to defend their faith.

For those interested (and amused) by the silliness of asking the working class to fight black holes, the abstract of this paper [pdf] written by a historian of science at Aarhus University in Denmark describes lucidly why Communists went nuts opposing the big bang theory.

Communist vs Science

Maligning the scientific method and individual scientists

Being the current Vice Chancellor of JNU, Prof. M Jagadesh Kumar (who is also a professor of Electrical Engineering at IIT Delhi) is one of the prime targets for the liberal left. This hilarious hit-job which appeared in the DailyO, makes a desperate effort to malign his character.

DailyO garbage

What? Prof. M Jagadesh Kumar boasts on his blog about lying to his students? What is the author talking about? I guess we are supposed to take the accuser seriously because it happens to be some Ashok Swain, a professor of Peace and Conflict Studies at Uppsala University in Sweden (for the record, he is someone who was earlier found pushing a narrative that coincidentally aligns with Pakistan’s anti-India policy, but let us forget that as of now).

However, clicking on the link to Prof. M Jagadesh Kumar’s blog reveals this hitjob to be an example of shocking scientific illiteracy on the part of the ‘liberal’ author who tried to malign him. Prof. Jagadesh Kumar was talking in the context of physical equations which often contain an approximation along with an error term. The word “lies” was just a cute term he was using to describe approximations and to emphasize their importance in science. Anyone who has taken high school calculus should be able to understand this concept.

However, in the world of left liberals, maligning individual scientists as well as scientific method is not an ethical concern when it comes to advancing a political agenda. Oh, and do you now get it when I said earlier in this article that literalism was a liberal technique?

In earlier cases, we have seen that even the most eminent scientists haven’t been spared the sword of the liberal agenda. For instance, a 2002 article by Sagarika Ghose written at the time Dr. Kalam was nominated for President, claims to have discovered a connection between atomic scientists, Hindu chauvinism, sexism and even casteism. Other gems include the finding that “science is particularly compatible with religious fundamentalism” (you read that right!) and that Osama bin Laden becoming a terrorist may have something to do with his engineering background in college.

Is calculus a rape manual?

Since both science and liberalism are global in their outlook, it forces us to take a wider view to understand how the left has tried to impose its worldview of science.

Extreme examples include left-wing animal rights groups going  to the extent of bombing homes of scientists who are accused of cruelty to anything from lab mice to insects. Often, these are scientists carrying out vital researches into boosting agricultural productivity or developing life saving medicines. This University of California  scientist got his house firebombed for being cruel … to fruitflies!

On the other hand, the environmental lobby, a pet darling of the international left, has often provided a safe home to all kinds of anti-scientific thinking. Mixing science with politics, the 9/11 attacks were another situation when major elements of the left aggressively pushed for science denial. By the way, here is a video of ‘youth icon’ Kanhaiyya Kumar pushing for 9/11 conspiracy theories on the basis of fake science documentaries he watched on YouTube :

This may be a bitter pill for leftists to swallow, but scientific truth once established leaves no scope for “dissent”, least of all for “counterarguments” based on politics. No Azaadi from truth. Sorry.

However, one of the most outrageous yet least reported forms of anti-science propaganda comes from within the feminist movement. Is it possible for the human mind to become so muddled by ideology that high school mathematics looks like it is related to rape? Please hear out top feminist thinker Sandra Harding explain how calculus can be seen as a “rape manual”.

Click on the image for larger resolution

For this and other brilliant insights, Ms. Sandra Harding received a coveted position at UCLA! Can you imagine how the left-wing intelligentsia would have reacted if someone associated with RSS had drawn a connection between mathematics and rape and was then legitimized with a professorship at a major Indian university?

Within the belly of feminism, there are several other such anti-scientific gems. For instance, did you know that Einstein’s E=mc^2 is a “sexed equation” (click here to find out why)?

Conclusion

We have to understand the basic modus operandi of liberalism. It identifies a group of people and hijacks their narrative, claiming to speak for all of them. The target group is then put within the left ideological cage and any attempt to break free is met with harshest kind of intimidation.

How did the women’s movement worldwide or Dalit politics in India get straitjacketed into a socialist, quasi-communist movement? Was Ambedkar a Communist? He vehemently was not! How come “Ambedkarite” today most commonly means someone with Communist leanings? Because liberalism imprisoned these movements in its ideological cage.

Science is not and cannot become a political party. Science cannot live in a cage. A left-wing ideological “March for Science” denigrates science and the scientific method.

Finally, to non-scientist Ms. Ayesha Kidwai who is part of the “appeal by scientists” for this “March for Science”, I have this to say: You can boycott a scientific truth and/or bully others into boycotting a scientific truth because it may have been found by someone from Israel or wherever, but you won’t win. Because :

E pur si muove (And yet it moves)

It’s attributed to Galileo when he was coerced by the Church to officially take back his view that the Earth moves around the sun.

Army eliminates top Lashkar terrorist Abu Dujana, this is how it happened

The Indian Armed forces notched a major success after they successfully eliminated top Lashkar terrorist Abu Dujana. This encounter took place in Hakripora village of the Pulwama district in Kashmir earlier today.

One of Dujana’s accomplice cum Lashkar terrorist, Arif Lilhaari too was eliminated by the security forces. This encounter is monumental as Dujana, who was the LeT’s Divisional Commander of South Kashmir, had till date closely slipped from the hands of security forces on 5 different occasions. The security forces had come close to capturing Dujana in May but he was unfortunately provided cover by a stone-pelting mob which helped him escape.

This time he wasn’t very lucky. Dujana, aged 27, and his accomplice were holed up in a white building during a cordon and search operation launched by the security forces. The television cameras present there showed smoke rising from the house where he had gone to meet a woman, who was allegedly his wife.

Dujana hailed from the Gilgit-Baltistan region of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir and as reported earlier, belonged to the list of 12 dreaded terrorists that was recently released by the Indian army. The list classified Dujana as an A++ terrorist who was active in the valley since December, 2014. Dujana also carried a reward of Rs 15 lakh on his head. The death of Dujana means that the forces have killed 102 terrorists this year, which is the highest as compared to the past 7 years.

The security forces adopted a very shrewd procedure to capture Dujana. The Jammu And Kashmir police knew that he used to go and meet his alleged wife as per a set pattern of timing and pre-arrival locational environment. After the police received Intel of him entering the house, they proceeded to surround it on the wee hours of Tuesday and covertly waited 2 hours for the reinforcements to arrive.

Then the police and its special operations group started the operation on 4:30 AM with the help of the 182 Battalion, 183 Battalion, CRPF and 55 Rashtriya Rifles. The security forces then blew up the house in order to weed out the holed up terrorists.

The klling of Dujana was was announced by the Northern Command of the Indian army who also stated that the operation was still underway, meaning that there might well be more terrorists in that region:

J Sandhu, the General Officer Commanding(GOC), in a statement to the media stated that Dujana wan’t involved in many attacks and liked to indulge in aiyashi or debauchery. He also called Dujana a nuisance and threat to local women.

BJP brings out the facts behind “vanishing” stories about Amit Shah’s assets

0

Recently the BJP President Amit Shah was under a cloud of controversy due to media’s claims of his assets rising by 300% in the last 5 years. This rise was calculated by the media on the basis of Amit Shah’s 2017 election affidavit, which he filed for the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections. This affidavit was compared to the one he had filed in 2012 [PDF].

What added to the whole controversy was the fact that the articles about this jump in assets, which appeared in DNA, Economic Times, and TOI’s Ahmedabad edition were mysteriously removed from the websites.

This led to a few conspiracy theorists including the AAP questioning whether there was some pressure on the media to remove such articles. The leftist propaganda blog The Wire, which compared a mass murderer to our Army Chief, too came up with an article that raised questions over disappearance of the said articles.

Here’s a screenshot of one the ‘disappeared’ articles:

The stories, some of which are still online [1][2], didn’t explain as to why did Shah’s assets more than tripled in 5 years. This led people to assume whether it was the result of his increased stature in Indian politics ever since Narendra Modi came to power in centre.

Whenever such a steep rise is reported in politician’s case, the general public assumes that some form of ‘jhol’ is involved. However, the BJP, whose minister recently showed great promptness in quelling a fake news report, decided to be very laid back in its response, which allowed people to come up with all kinds of conjectures behind the rise in assets and disappearance of the articles.

The party finally woke up after 3 long days and issued a press release via senior leader Piyush Goyal to clarify the surge in Shah’s assets:

The press release put out by the BJP

The release expressed disappointment over the fact that the media didn’t fully analyse the election affidavit before filing its report. The press release stated that in 2012, Shah and his wife’s assets totalled about Rs 11 crores. Then on 28th February 2013, Shah’s mother unfortunately passed away and he inherited his mother’s assets worth Rs 18.85 crores via a court probate. Thus his total assets grew to Rs 29.84 crores in 2013 which has now grown to Rs 34.31 crores chiefly due to appreciation of his properties. The release also claimed that this information was detailed in the election affidavit, but the media chose to ignore and instead go with sensationalised headlines.

So it was inheritance, not any fresh acquisition of properties, which saw Shah’s asset valuation zoom, and the inheritance happened before Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister. Media reports could have mentioned this aspect.

However, it is strange that instead of updating their reports with this information and context, the media outlets simply deleted their reports. The least one expects is that media outlets should have put up a message on the same URL informing about the reason why they had deleting the reports.
