Basti police arrested AIMIM leader Ajfarul Haq for allegedly running a large-scale exploitation and forced conversion racket. Haq reportedly posed as a Hindu to trap women, with the victim claiming nearly 300 others were targeted by his family-run network.

Many of the people named as accused in this FIR have not lived in the village for years.

The arrested accused has been identified as Mohammad Ansar Ansari (40) years, a resident of Bhutahi Tola, under the limits of Budhar police station.

Siddiqui's arrest follows action by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and the complaint filed by the University Grants Commission (UGC).

Ansari used to stalk the victim to her coaching classes and threatened to circulate her videos.
