Passengers boarding the first flight to the newly built Maharishi Valmiki International Airport Ayodhya Dham on Saturday were heard chanting 'Jai Shri Ram'.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for multiple development projects worth Rs 15,700 crore in Uttar Pradesh's Ayodhya on Saturday.

PM Modi said, "I urge all the countrymen to celebrate Deepawali on that evening. On the evening of 22nd January, the whole of India should be illuminated."

Highlighting the India-Mauritius relationship, Gungapersad said that the relationship is being further strengthened.

PM Modi inaugurated the refurbished Ayodhya railway station and waved off two of the country's first Amrit Bharat trains.

Vasudev Gupta who was from Ayodhya was killed amid the Ram Mandir agitation. His spouse was a devoted follower of Lord Ram.

The programme at Ayodhya Dham Junction Railway Station will witness the Prime Minister flagging off a new category of superfast passenger trains in the country - the Amrit Bharat Express.
