The demonstrators in Paris asked the interim Bangladesh govt to punish the culprits and provide appropriate compensation to the minority Hindu victims.

However, the removal of his picture from the PCI office triggered an outrage on social media. Facing backlash for the act, his picture was reinstated at its original place.

Since 2001, 22 years, 470+ temples destroyed, properties damaged, Hindus displaced, raped and killed in Bangladesh.

The embassy had intiially warned US citizens about Bangladesh's deteriorating law and order situation amid the formation of a new interim government under US asset Muhammad Yunus.

This was following an attack by a group of smuggler's associates armed with sharp-edged weapons along the India-Bangladesh border in Malda district.

A social media post by handle JU Insider of Jahangirnagar University read, "The post read, "Tapas Kumar Das and Supravat Pal, two teachers from JU's Law Department, would harass students just by seeing a beard and cap. Students formed a human chain demanding their resignation."

Shashi Tharoor condemned the violence against Hindus and asked Muhammad Yunus to restore peace in Bangladesh
