Addressing a gathering in Delhi, Nupur Sharma said only a few women might be living a life as painful as hers. She said she has lost her freedom for four years but remains alive and safe.

The election petition filed by BJP candidate Ramniwas Rawat alleged Malhotra failed to disclose six criminal cases in Form 26. The Court declared the Vijaypur election void and recognised Rawat as the duly elected MLA.

The BJP spokesperson referred to a 2014 interview of Pinaki Mishra, claiming his family firms had no active business operations, and argued that the alleged payments could amount to abetment and breach of parliamentary ethics rules.
