Senior Superintendent of Police Shashi Shekhar Singh informed that the accused Maulvi has been arrested and the minor victim has been sent to the hospital for medical examination.

So far none of the accused have been arrested, however, the police have stated that efforts are being made to arrest the perpetrators.

A case was lodged under Sections 34 and 377 (unnatural sex) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and relevant provisions of the Prevention of Child Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

The girls said that teacher Ishtiaq Ahmed physically abused them and touched them with wrong intentions. The girls also said that the teacher frequently talked to them about their undergarments. The incident is said to have happened in Kala Zanda primary school, Thakpurdwar, Muradabad.
