In Delhi, several coaching centres operate out of illegally constructed buildings, often modifying basements and other spaces into classrooms without adhering to safety regulations. To no surprise, these spaces are poorly ventilated, sans proper exits, and are not equipped to handle emergencies like flooding as seen in Rau’s IAS coaching’s case.
