As per the updated report, over 9000 people are still missing, according to CNN. However, the OCHA, in its previous report, said at least 11,300 people died in Derna due to devastating flooding, citing the Libyan Red Crescent figures for Saturday's report, according to CNN.

The east Libyan government's prime minister, Osama Hamad, has declared Derna a disaster zone after torrential rains and floods damaged parts of the city. In addition, the government has announced a state of emergency and discontinued schools as a precaution ahead of a storm. 

US President Joe Biden has been updated on the plight of over 70,000 individuals stranded in Nevada's Black Rock Desert after rainfall on Sunday turned the area into a sea of sticky filth. In a statement, the White House said administration officials are monitoring the situation and communicating with state and local officials.

The Himalayan state has reported widespread destruction and deaths due to heavy rains, landslides, and cloudbursts reported from different parts of the state.

In the clip, several houses are seen collapsing like a deck of cards in the Anni town of Kullu district. According to officials, there were no immediate reports of any casualties or injuries in the incident so far.

A hill collapsed in the Krishna Nagar area in Shimla, following which, around five to seven houses collapsed.

In light of the unfortunate situation, the state has decided not to hold any cultural festivities for Independence Day.
