Uttarakhand Chief Minister, Pushkar Singh Dhami, announced on Tuesday (30 November) that the BJP govt in the state has decided to repeal the Char Dham Devasthanam Board Management Act
The Madras High Court observed that 2000-year-old temples in the State are in ruins, which has facilitated miscreants to 'lay their hands on the idols.'
"The lands, which are occupied or are under the possession of various persons since long but belongs to Shree Jagannatha Mahaprabhu; are being settled by Temple Committee as per the “Unified Policy”, framed for the purpose in the year 2003," the Temple administration stated.
