The Islamic country of Pakistan has been a hotbed of religious persecution, especially for those belonging to minority Hindu, Christian and Sikh communities.
In January this year, Tauqir Raz addressed a gathering of 20 lakh Muslims in Bareilly and threatened that Hindus would have nowhere to escape if the rage of Muslims flared. Tauqeer Raza, once an ally of the Samajwadi Party and Congress, was heard as saying, “If we rise, you can’t hide”.
During the preliminary investigation, it has come to light that Maulana Sarfaraz and his aides had earlier gang-raped several women in the name of Nikah Halala.
Police stated that she gave accurate information about herself and family. The girl's family has claimed that she was possessed by ghosts and hence was being 'treated' at the Imambada.
