The miscreants as per the police utilized a grinder machine to sever the idol's hand. ACP Cantt, Abhay Pratap Mall, said that the situation has been resolved and a new idol at the temple has been erected.

Another case of love jihad has come to light from Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, where the accused Salman, posing as Rakesh, trapped a Hindu woman in his love trap.

Entire team at a police station has been suspended over the incident of harassment of women on waterlogged street in Lucknow.

Taking to X, Lucknow Police said that a case has been registered in the matter under relevant sections and the accused have been identified from the CCTV footage. The police said that two people Pawan Yadav and Sunil Kumar have been arrested while the search for others is on.
