The Election Commission of India has removed over 1.5 crore names amounting to 11.51% of voters from draft electoral rolls across 12 States and Union Territories during the third phase of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR)

Locals say that a suspected projectile struck the house, causing a powerful explosion which resulted in the on-spot death of the two kids. After hearing the explosion, villagers gathered at the damaged house to rescue those stuck inside.

The security forces have initiated a large-scale joint operation targeting the armed militants in Manipur.
