The Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) report on the Waqf (Amendment) Bill, 2024, was tabled in the Rajya Sabha on Thursday amid ruckus and continuous sloganeering from opposition members.
Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar on Saturday accepted the resignation of YSR Congress Party leader V Vijaysai Reddy, who stepped down from his position as a Member of Parliament, citing personal reasons and announcing his retirement from politics.

The Vice President further slammed the Kharge and other opposition leaders for walking out of the House and said,” You are walking away from your obligations. You are walking away from your duty. Honourable members, they don’t want to participate. They know only how to create chaos…The nation is a priority…”
