With the mention of Ram Mandir-Babri dispute, an issue resolved by the Supreme Court of India in 2019, USCIRF’s 2025 report reveals it is less of a human-rights assessment and more of a recycled political narrative designed to undermine India’s institutions and malign the Hindu majority.
An addendum to the 2019 Supreme Court judgment by an unnamed judge went into depth of the beliefs of the Hindus regarding Ram Janmabhoomi by referring to certain Historical evidence, including Ain-i-Akbari, accounts of an English merchant William Finch, accounts of a Jesuit missionary Father Joseph Tieffenthaler and a description in Janma Sakhies of Guru Nanak’s visit to Ayodhya.
“Whether with divine or bovine intervention or any other kind of intervention, if a judge delivers a judgment, he is violating his oath to the Constitution," said Justice
