Uttarakhand, Gujarat and Assam have officially enacted the Uniform Civil Code whereas States like Maharashtra, West Bengal and Rajasthan formed expert committees to design their respective regulations.
The committee will study the issue and prepare a draft, based on which the government will take further steps towards implementing the UCC in the state.
During a media interaction on Wednesday, CM Yadav said, “The Uniform Civil Code bill will also be introduced in this session. With the blessings of Baba Mahakal, the UCC bill will be passed this session.”
