Agra Police’s Operation Asmita exposed India’s biggest conversion racket, rescuing two Hindu sisters whose parents say Islam poisoned their minds and left lasting scars.
During interrogation, Sharaf Rizvi told the police that he had created three Facebook accounts with Hindu names, namely Samrat Singh, Ajay Kumar and Vijay Kumar. He befriended many girls through these fake accounts.
The 'conversion gang' operating out of Agra came to notice after two real sisters went missing from the city. The conversion gang was destroyed under 'Operation Asmita' of Uttar Pradesh Police.
The crackdown against illegal structures, following directives of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, includes action against illegal Eidgahs, madrasas, and mazars among others.
