A Division Bench of the Madras High Court stayed an order passed by a single-judge bench of Justice SM Subramaniam after Vijay'c counsel submitted that the actor is ready to pay the dues but the remarks against him should be expunged.

The HC also noted that Vijay, a successful actor, had not bothered to mention his occupation in his affidavit.
