The series that was hosted by Ira Trivedi was produced by Doordarshan Delhi as part of a series of different yoga programmes produced to highlight yoga prior to the International day of yoga in 2017

After social media backlash, a self-proclaimed yoga teacher, Ira Trivedi, who runs a show on national broadcaster Doordarshan, has taken to Twitter today to proclaim that she is a strict vegetarian and respects Hindu religion.

The guideline warned that "Christians must be vigilant against the fact that they should not be embracing another religion (Hinduism in this case) while practising meditation”
