Hazaribagh Police arrests one 40 year old Mushtaq for attempting to create communal tension

As reported on Bhaskar, 40 year old Mushtaq has been arrested on the charges of trying to break peace in the region. As per reports, on Monday morning, Saleem Javed, a resident of BDO office received a letter through registry signed as ‘Santosh Kumar’, claiming to be resident of Madrasi Colony, Kargali Bazar. The letter contained abusive language towards Hindus and Muslims, which could create communal tension.

Mushtaq also claimed that a year prior, he had sent such letter to former BJP leaders Dhaneshwar Mahato, Jagarnath Ram and Hindu Kalyan Manch leader Ramu Digar amongst others, using such similar abusive and objectionable letters. These letters were signed under Muslim names which created internal tension. Station officer in charge Kuzur told that a case has been registered under section 243/18 Section 153, 295 against Mushtaq and he would be sent to jail on Tuesday.

Acting on Javed’s complaint, Mushtaq was arrested on suspicion. Mushtaq allegedly sent the mail written on fake letterhead in name of Eleven Star Club through registry. During this, Mushtaq was caught on basis of suspicion. Following interrogation, Mushtaq confessed to have sent the letter. He is now in police custody.
