DGP reprimanded by H D Kumaraswamy for making Mamata Banerjee walk for few meters

In a recent sequence of events, Chief Minister of Karnataka H D Kumaraswamy has instructed to reprimand the Director General of Police Neelamani N Raju.

The media had reported that Mamata Banerjee soon after arriving at the swearing ceremony at Vidhana Soudha in Bengaluru lashed out at the police chief for making her walk to the venue. Mamata’s anger was not limited just to the police officer, but she also went ahead and showed her discontent to the JDS supremo H D Devegowda. The West Bengal Chief Minister’s car was allegedly stopped near Chalukya Circle, which is few meters away from Vidhana Soudha.

This event has reportedly lead to the Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy instructing to transfer the top cop, by holding her responsible for alleged security lapse on Wednesday. It is also said that the Chief Minister of Bengal, Mamata Banerjee felt humiliated after she was forced to walk and complained Kumaraswamy for the security lapse. Interestingly, other leaders like Kejriwal and other AAP leaders had tweeted about walking in the “beautiful weather” to the swearing ceremony.
