Twitter erupts with memes as Shiv Sena breaks alliance with BJP to possibly form government in alliance with NCP-Congress

While many Maharashtra voters felt cheated that they had to vote for a Shiv Sena candidate because of its pre-poll alliance with BJP and will now have the party they voted for sit in opposition, netizens took to Twitter to make hilarious memes.

As the Maharashtra government deadlock enters the third week, Shiv Sena has broken its alliance with the NDA and has given signs that it may stake claim to form government in Maharashtra with support of NCP and Congress. While many Maharashtra voters felt cheated that they had to vote for a Shiv Sena candidate because of its pre-poll alliance with BJP and will now have the party they voted for sit in opposition, netizens took to Twitter to make hilarious memes.

Twitter user improvised this ‘angry woman, clueless cat’ meme and added the plight of those who had voted for NOTA (None of the above) during Madhya Pradesh elections last year and are now in a Congress-ruled state.

Memes made by modifying popular film scenes were also a rage.

Digs on Aditya Thackeray, first from the Thackeray family to join mainstream politics, were also made.

And the jokes of the future prospects of Shiv Sena as it joins Congress alliance.

And the mother of all jokes.

The majority mark in Maharashtra’s assmebly in 145. The BJP currently holds 105 MLAs. Shiv Sena has 56, NCP has 54 and the Congress has 44. BVA has 3 MLAs and AIMIM, PJP, SP have 2 each. There are 13 independent MLAs.
