Bihar: 5-year old child abducted and raped by tempo driver in Darbhanga, accused arrested as child undergoes treatment

According to the victim's family, Sahani saw the girl playing with her friend and when he found that there was no one around he abducted the child and took her to an isolated place in his tempo.

In yet another barbaric incident, a tempo driver has raped a five-year-old child in Bihar’s Darbhanga district on Friday, 6th of December. The minor girl has been admitted to the Darbhanga Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) in a blood-soaked condition.

According to reports, the accused was identified as Tettar Sahani, a resident of Bhawanpur village took the girl into a garden in an isolated area and raped the minor girl child. The accused tempo driver has been arrested on charges of raping a 5-year-old girl in Sadar police station limits of Darbhanga.


According to the victim’s family, Sahani saw the girl playing with her friend and when he found that there was no one around he abducted the child. The auto-drive drove his auto to an isolated area raped the five-year-old child near a garden.

As parents could not find their daughter near their house, they began searching for her but only to find that she was sitting inside the auto, crying in a blood-soaked condition.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Anoj Kumar took the cognisance of the matter, said, “A five-year-old girl has been raped in the Sadar police station area. The girl was raped and she is currently undergoing treatment. The accused abducted the child while she was playing outside her house. He took her to a garden and left her there after raping her.”
