In an unusual trend, “Maha Kumbh”, “Maha Kumbh 2025”, “Prayagraj Maha Kumbh”, “Mahakumbh Mela” and similar terms have been among the top Google search keywords in Islamic nations like Pakistan, Qatar, the UAE, and Bahrain as per Google Trends as per reports.
Besides, the Hindu festival Maha Kumbh has also attracted immense interest among people in Nepal, Singapore, Australia, Canada, Ireland, Britain, Thailand, and the United States hinting at the grand event’s religious and cultural significance.
Notably, the Kumbh celebrations, renowned for their grandeur and vibrant spirit, take place every four years and are considered among the most significant events. However, this year’s Kumbh celebrations are considered even more important as it signifies the culmination of 12 Kumbh Mela cycles, taking place once every 144 years.
As per Uttar Pradesh Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh, the Maha Kumbh that will be observed from January 13 to February 26 will witness 35 crore pilgrims visiting the holy Sangam – the confluence of rivers Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati.
