Firecrackers at Priyanka Chopra’s wedding, Twitter users point out the hypocrisy

The duality of celebrities when it comes to what they preach and what they practice is often pointed out on social media.

Actor Priyanka Chopra got married to American singer Nick Jonas as per a Christian ceremony today in Umaid Bhawan Palace hotel, Jodhpur. The skies lit up with celebratory firecrackers, which lasted several minutes.

Few weeks earlier, Priyanka Chopra had urged people to skip crackers this Diwali, as it makes life difficult for asthma patients. Chopra herself has been suffering from asthma since childhood.

Twitterati soon pointed out the hypocrisy in Priyanka’s stand.

People also took digs on the Supreme Court order which prohibited bursting crackers during Diwali before 8 pm in the national capital.

And the ‘green crackers‘ directed by the Supreme Court.

Some wondered if any legal action would be taken against her, considering people were arrested during Diwali for far less.
