Headmaster Khurshid Ahmed converts government school to Islamia School because most students are Muslims

A government school in Uttar Pradesh has been found renamed as ‘Islamia Primary School’. As per reports, the school has been observing its weekly holiday on Friday instead of Sunday and all its documents are maintained in Urdu.

According to reports, the government primary school in Navalpur village in Salempur block, Deoria has been taking its weekly off on Fridays and been remaining open on Sundays. A team lead by the Block Education Officer reportedly visited the school on Friday and found it closed. They also reportedly found the school’s attendance register, admission registers and teacher’s attendance registers to be maintained in the Urdu language.

Upon investigation, the team reportedly found that the school has been remaining closed on every Friday and on Fridays the mid-day meal details were mentioned as zero. The school has been remaining opened on Sundays. The Block Education Officer has notified the District Magistrate over the matter as it is a violation of government rules.

As per reports, the school’s headmaster Khurshid Ahmed, who has been posted there for ten years, has made these changes without notifying the government authorities and obtaining any permission.

Islamic Primary School

Headmaster Khurshid had even changed the school’s name from Primary School, Navalpur to Islamia Primary School, Navalpur. According to a report in Jagran, the locals in the area were till now under the impression that the school is being run by the minorities department. When newly appointed BEO Gyanchandra Mishra visited the school on Friday along with other education officials, they found the school closed. All the teaching staff appointed in the school are Muslims and most of the students are Muslims too.

The headmaster has reportedly stated that the school has always been run in a similar manner because 95% of the pupils are Muslims. The District Magistrate has reportedly directed the Basic Shiksha Adhikari to probe the matter. Clarification has been sought from the headmaster and the BEO has reportedly stated that action might be initiated against the headmaster and staff for flouting government rules.

Mamata Banerjee displays half-baked standards, targeting Modi by echoing Shashi Tharoor’s animosity

Taking the anti-Modi docket a bit too seriously, members of the oppositions at time forgets where to draw a line. Days after Congress MP from Kerala, Shashi Tharoor wondered if Talibanisation in Hinduism has started, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today echoed him and said that the BJP and the RSS are creating “Talibanis among people”.

As reported by Financial Express, while addressing Trinamool Congress’ annual ’21st July Martyr’s Day’ rally in Dharmatala, expressing her so-called concern on the recent lynching cases in the country, West Bengal chief minister was quoted as saying, “The way lynching is happening everywhere in the country, they (BJP, RSS) are creating Talibanis among people. In BJP and RSS, there are good people whom I respect but some are playing dirty games.”

The chief minister seems to be in cahoots with Senior Congress leader and an accused in the Sunanda Pushkar death case, Shashi Tharoor, against whom a case was filed in Kolkata High court for his ‘Hindu-Pakistan’ jibe for ‘hurting religious sentiments and insulting the constitution’.

Earlier on July 18, news agency PTI had quoted Tharoor as wondering if Talibanisation in Hinduism has started. Recently, Tharoor had made a controversial statement that if BJP comes to power in 2019 again, it will turn India into Hindu Pakistan. “They are asking me to go to Pakistan. Who has given them the right to decide that I am not a Hindu like them and so I cannot live in India?…”The BJP’s talk of ‘Hindu Rashtra’ is really dangerous and will destroy this nation. Has Talibanisation started in Hinduism?” PTI quoted Tharoor as saying.

Though Congress and its leaders are known for their derogatory remarks and false equivalences, they also have the tendency to stand by defending their statements with impunity. Tharoor has not only stood firm to his statement but also refused to apologize for the same.

Mamata during the rally did not only recapitulate Shashi Tharoor’s biting and insensitive remarks but also with utmost conviction declared that her party will win all 42 seats of West Bengal in 2019 Lok Sabha elections and to ensure that, the TMC will start “BJP Hatao, Desh Bachao” campaign on August 15. “We will start ‘BJP Hatao, Desh Bachao’ campaign on 15th August. 2019 will be a big blow, Bengal will show the path…We will win all 42 seats in 2019 Lok Sabha elections from West Bengal,” Banerjee said.

It is rather startling that the so-called lawmakers show the least regard towards the Indian judiciary system. Coming just a day before Mamata Banerjee’s remark, the Supreme Court, which is the highest judicial forum and final court of appeal under the Constitution of India, while hearing the long-pending Babri Masjid-Ram Temple land dispute case, rapped Rajeev Dhavan, who was representing a Muslim party in the case, for using the term ‘Hindu Taliban’.

Dhavan, during the hearing, tried to draw parallels between the Taliban and the Kar Sevaks, calling the latter “Hindu Taliban”. Chief Justice of India Dipak Misra and advocates present during the hearing objected to the use of the term, calling it inappropriate. Clearly, the soi-disant flag bearer’s of our country give this apex body no preponderance and do what they deem fit, viciously fanning their current sole agenda, ‘Modi vs All’.

It is believed that West Bengal under TMC is fast turning into a laboratory of appeasement politics, where religion decides the quantum of development and the access to resources.

Mamata Banerjee’s criticism of the RSS resolution passed in its Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha (ABPS) 2017 held at Coimbatore expressing “grave concern on jihadi violence in West Bengal” exposes her own culpability and close involvement in allowing the expansion of jihadi and Islamist elements in the state.

This was not the first time that the hollowness of Banerjee’s claim of West Bengal being an oasis of progressive thought and action has been exposed. Last year, Mamata Banerjee ensured that the self-styled poet Srijato Bandyopadhyay, was protected and the people who lodged a complaint against the poet for hurting their religious sentiments as “Hindu jihadis,” penalized.

Seventy years after the formation of West Bengal, where Hindus were meant to live in dignity and safety, the situation has turned around. From preventing Hindus to undertake one of their most poignant and sacred tasks, that of the immersion of the Durga idols post Puja, to clashes over Ram Navami celebrations, to altering the syllabus in such a way that names and expressions that are quintessentially part of Bengali culture get erased from collective memory to allowing rampages on Hindu establishments, Banerjee is turning Bengal into a frontier province of lawlessness.

Within 24 hours after the murder of J&K Police constable, the security forces gun down the terrorists

Within 24 hours after the brutal killing of a police constable Salem Ahmed Shah in Kashmir, the security forces have killed the three terrorists in an encounter which took place in Kulgam district today.

These three terrorists were believed to be behind the torture and killing of a Jammu and Kashmir Police constable Salem Ahmed Shah. The terrorist had abducted the policeman from his residence at the Mutalhama village of Kulgam, who was on leave. His bullet-riddled body was recovered by the security forces from Qaimoh Gath area.

The Jammu and Kashmir Police chief S P Vaid, confirmed that three terrorists were gunned down in an operation carried out by J&K Police, Army and CRPF.

The police said that terrorists had tortured the policeman severely and his body had several tortured marks. Salem Ahmad Shah is survived by ageing parents, two brothers and an unmarried sister.

The encounter between the security forces to avenge the death of the policeman began in wee hours of Sunday. After hours of exchange of fire between the two sides, the terrorists were finally trapped inside. “Encounter underway between security forces and terrorists in Wani mohalla locality in Khudwani area of Kulgam district,” the news agency had ANI reported.

The police official said that they had launched a ‘cordon-and-search’ operation in Khudwani area of the Kulgam district in south Kashmir, after receiving the specific input about the presence of terrorists in the area. It is reported that, the policeman retaliated to the heavy firing started by the terrorists. The police have suspected the role of Hizbul Mujahideen in the abduction and killing of the policeman.

Recently, the terrorists had abducted and killed an Indian Army soldier Aurangzeb from south Kashmir. Rifleman Aurangzeb of 44 Rashtriya Rifles, was abducted, tortured and killed while he was on his way to home to celebrate Eid festival with the family.

Similarly, in another tragic incident, Army officer Lieutenant Ummer Fayaz was also killed by the terrorists when he was on leave to attend a wedding.

Beyond the hug-and-wink, has the no-confidence motion punctured the Mahagathbandhan balloon?

0

On Friday, in what was probably one of the longest days for the Parliament in recent time, the Lok Sabha debated the ‘No Confidence Motion’ against the government moved by TDP. It was a day of theatrics and gestures and political statements. Somehow amidst all the drama, the demands of the TDP got sidelined. As is usual in all the causes that the Congress joins in, the limelight was shifted to Rahul Gandhi instead. If one looks at the mainstream media for news and discussions regarding the entire affair, it was not about Andhra Pradesh, its demands or the government’s commitment to Andhra’s development at all. For mainstream Indian media, it was all about Rahul Gandhi’s speech, Rahul Gandhi’s strategy, Rahul Gandhi’s maturity (?), Rahul Gandhi’s hug and Rahul Gandhi’s wink.

The opposition lost spectacularly in the no-confidence motion debate. But if one attempts to look beyond the hug and the wink, one significant gaping hole has been brilliantly ignored by most media outlets. Where was the Mahagathbandhan we keep hearing about? After the Congress-JDS alliance formed the government in Karnataka, we have been hearing a lot about the Mahagathbandhan of Congress and all the regional parties that is supposedly the only weapon to bring down the Modi Sarkar.

Columnist and Twitter user Ashish Chandorkar has highlighted some very prominent points in a Tweet thread.

Of the 145 MPs confirmed to vote for the no-confidence motion, only 126 had actually shown up in the Parliament. This was despite Sonia Gandhi and the Congress, in general, expressing confidence over numbers before the vote.

The Modi government won the vote  325-126. The gain in votes for the NDA was even greater than expected. The numbers display that a considerable number of Congress and anti-BJP MPs may have, in fact, voted for the government.

Most parties had issued whips to their MPs to be present for the vote. Aashish has stated that even considering abstaining MPs, the difference between potential and actual votes is huge.

Two large parties Shiv Sena abstained from voting and Biju Janata Dal walked out from the debate. Shiv Sena has 18 MPs and BJD has 20. Despite Shiv Sena being an NDA ally, the NDA winning 325 votes without their support is a significant development.

Another important point has been senior Congress leader Kamal Nath vocally criticising the Congress’ move for the No Confidence Motion.

Aashish mentioned the PM discussed how the Congress has insulted dissenting voices like Pranab Mukherjee, Sharad Pawar and Deve Gowda. Going by the history, Kamal Nath might soon join the list. There seems to be a rivalry brewing in Madhya Pradesh already between Kamal Nath and Jyotiraditya Scindia with both being projected as potential CM candidates and this may be another crack in making in the grand old party.

Ashish further discusses the regional pride playing a deciding role in the fate of the proposed Mahagathbandhan. Regional parties like TMC, DMK, TRS, BJD and many others may not cater to the whims of the Congress royal family. The murky history of Congress leadership ignoring and insulting regional leaders might be used by the BJP in its election campaign to dissuade regional leaders.

The Mahagathbandhan already looked doomed with the possibility of powerful stake-holders like Mamata Banerjee and Mayawati not agreeing to accept the Congress being in control of the key leadership.

With the 2019 elections approaching fast, the Mahagathbandhan or the ‘United Opposition‘ balloon being floated by Congress looks duly and properly punctured after the Parliament voting results. However the Congress may try to project Rahul Gandhi as the hero, it is evident that he is not able to hold much sway in regional politics. No amount of hugs and winks will change the fact.

Modi should get medically tested if he was poisoned, Subramanian Swamy on Rahul Gandhi’s hug to PM

Law activist and senior BJP leader Subramanian Swamy, who has a penchant for sniffing out something wrong when nobody has a clue, took to Twitter after the hug-and-wink drama of Congress President Rahul Gandhi. Swamy, in a tweet said that PM Modi should not have hugged Rahul Gandhi.

He said that Russians and North Koreans use the ’embrace technique’ to stick a poisoned needle and hence Modi should immediately go and get himself medically checked to see if there is any microscopic puncture ‘like Sunanda had’ on her hand. Congress MP Shashi Tharoor’s wife Sunanda Pushkar was found dead under mysterious circumstances in January 2014. Recently, the Delhi Police has filed their charge sheet in the Sunanda Pushkar Murder case, and Congress leader and former minister of state Shashi Tharoor had been charged with the section 498A and Section 306 in the case. Section 498A involves charges for the husband or his family members subjecting a wife to cruelty and Section 306 of the IPC covers abetment to suicide.

BJP leader Subramanian Swamy had alleged that Sunanda Pushkar was administered poison ‘by the Russians’ which resulted in her death.

He condemned Rahul Gandhi’s hug to PM Modi and said that Rahul Gandhi should not have embraced the PM all of a sudden. He called it unethical and said that such behaviour should be discouraged so that it does not happen again.

Incels, the new linguistic missile from left that Hindus have to dodge

0

Famous novelist, Nathaniel Hawthorne had this to say about the power of words, “Words — so innocent and powerless as they are, as standing in a dictionary, how potent for good and evil they become in the hands of one who knows how to combine them”

In India, slowly, carefully and steadily, a new labelling is being attached to Hindus, and why not? ‘Hindu Terrorism’bogey couldn’t take off but desi Left’s obligation to its paymasters remains the same as in the west. This new label with its category and built up association with crimes will come to future use in India.

We often underrate the power of language and the subtle labelling it may ensue by people who know how to use it. As per linguist Benjamin Whorf’s hypothesis, ‘the words we use to describe what we see aren’t just idle placeholders–they actually determine what we see’. That language used has a profound impact on the user’s morality, is already an established fact.

‘Labelling’ thus is a very important tool of warfare. Seldom observed labels like ‘3rd world countries’, attaching words like progressive and liberal only with Left and their causes, calling cultural initiatives as orthodox and regressive, are nothing but smart labelling, powerful enough to alter the discourse.

Admirably to this point, the Left has mastered this art. Only recently Trump gate crashed by fashioning a category of linguistic kill shots and used them to his advantage.

Now, it’s the turn of Indian right to quickly comprehend and catch up to this phenomenon. We have a new linguistic missile to dodge and it’s called ‘Incels’.

Incels stand for a self-identified group of people who ‘involuntarily’ celibate i.e. unable to find a romantic or sexual partner despite desiring one. It doesn’t matter whether this category exists or not but it is surely becoming a hot keyword/label among the Left. Look at the Wikipedia curated and locked-for-editing page for definition of Incels. So as per them, they are already a massive online subculture, ‘mostly white, male, and heterosexual’ and a part of ‘the online male supremacist ecosystem’. Left hit the narrative jackpot on weaponising this labelling when a so-called ‘Incel’ was held responsible for a deadly attack in Toronto where 10 people died.

So the game of labelling on Incels goes like this. Due to obvious political and Circle Of Influence reasons, Left feels obliged to obliterate any criticism Jihadi violence may generate. Obfuscation and false equivalence are the techniques deployed. American mass shootings, though very very condemnable and deplorable, are not terrorism. ‘Incels’ come handy here. These are exclusively defined ‘white nationalists’ and every other thing that Left has labelled them and what Hillary famously termed as ‘basket of deplorables’. This exclusive category will now be blamed to have a motive, message and will meet the textbook definition of terrorism.

I totally admire Shivam Vij (@DilliDurAst) for his sharp acumen, best suited for devious Left-wing politics in India. His Kafila, Scroll, HuffPost and many other contributions, establish this fact. His advice to all non-BJP parties shows that he is an expert in his area of furthering Left causes in India.

Now he’s a front-runner in the Incel labelling on Hindus.

Exhibits :

In my previous article, I tried to explain the step-by-step process of Left to choke right-wing voices (for the want of a better phrase) on social media. Going by the same pattern, which operates for Left in a systematic way all-round the word, I am considering this labelling as a dog whistle for all Left ecosystem to jump upon and remove ‘hindutva warrior’ sex to simple ‘Incel’ and voila! An entirely new category is created with Hindus as default.

Left has fired a linguistic missile and Hindus have to dodge it.

‘All warfare is based on deception’ and Left lives by the words of Sun Tzu here.

So let’s not get deceived.

Congress’ NPA mess: PM Modi talks about legacy of loans increasing from 18 lakh crore to 52 lakh crore

Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his fiery response to the no-confidence motion moved by the opposition also touched on the chronic problem of Indian banks’ Non-Performing Assets (NPA).

During the speech he gave on late Friday evening, he accused the erstwhile UPA government of creating a system of “underground loot” from 2008 to 2014, when loans were sanctioned without any proper appraisal, Times of India has reported.

As also recorded in our live blog, after attacking Congress for not giving minimum support price (MSP) to the farmers, Modi turned to the subject of India’s economy. He stated that when his government came to power, they were shocked at the state of the economy. He thus told the tale of Indian NPAs.

Modi claimed that the problem started in 2008 and with elections due in 2009 Congress felt that it had a year left (in power), and thus had the brainwave to empty as many banks as they could. Modi alleged that loans were given and when the time for repayment came, further loans were given – which gave birth to a cycle.

Interestingly Modi also claimed that the rise of the NPAs was also catalysed by the decision to reduce customs duty, which increased the capital goods import which was financed by bank loans. Thus he claimed that the production of capital goods was hit and loans were sanctioned without any assessment.

He also claimed that the delay in providing environmental clearances, which resulted in the project’s delay also resulted in bank loans getting stuck causing NPAs to rise.

In order to explain the “underground loot” modus operandi, Modi commented that, much before the introduction of net-banking, Congress invented “phone banking” whereby a phone call resulted in sanctioning of loans for their cronies – Economic Times reports.

The PM claims that the Congress though got addicted and continued this practice even after it retained power in 2009, hence the loot went on till 2014. He thus cited figures to claim that banks gave a whopping Rs 52 lakh crore in loans from 2008 to 2014 an almost 300% rise from previous sixty years figure of Rs 18 lakh crore.

In order to prevent such “loot”, Modi claimed that the present government has put up checks across the system and even brought in the insolvency and bankruptcy code (IBC). IBC has already resulted in the recovery of a whopping Rs 36,000 crore and a further payment of Rs 83,000 crore worth of pending loans.

Besides this Modi claimed that the government has cracked down on wilful defaulters measures to tackle stressed assets.

He ended this segment on an almost ominous note by stating that had the Congress retained power in 2014 then the country would be going through a huge crisis now.

Dr Chandan Mitra finally joins TMC, but he probably forgot to delete these tweets

As is an old saying, that there are no permanent friends and enemies in politics. However, when a foe is to turn into a friend, the least one can do is delete the tweets where you have painted your then-a-foe-now-a-friend into the devil incarnate.

It was reported today that Dr Chandan Mitra an Indian journalist, presently editor and managing director of The Pioneer newspaper in Delhi, India. Who was nominated as a member of the Rajya Sabha during August 2003 to August 2009 and was elected to another term in the Rajya Sabha, as a Bharatiya Janata Party MP from Madhya Pradesh, in June 2010, has joined Mamata Banerjee’s Trinamool Congress.

It was reported by ANI that Dr Chandan Mitra, Former CPM MP Moinul Hasan, Congress’ Sabina Yasmin and Mizoram advocate general Biswajit Deb had joined TMC.

Chandan Mitra, who has had quite a love-hate relationship with the BJP’s support base, has, however, not always had such a hunky-dory relationship with the TMC as one might suspect today.

Previously, on numerous occasions, Mitra had lashed out at TMC and party supremo Mamata Banerjee for various issues. As Mitra joins TMC, it would perhaps be wise of him to get rid of the following tweets.

In April 2014, presumably during the Lok Sabha elections, following were Chandan Mitra’s tweets.

In the same year, his tirade against the TMC had not stopped. He called TMC as ‘savages’ and ‘ruffians’.

He had also said that Mamata Banerjee was celebrating her ‘poton diwas’ (Downfall day).

He had also wondered if the CBI (then under UPA rule) would have the guts to question P Chidambaram’s wife who had benefitted from the Bengal “cheat fund” scam (under Mamata Banerjee).

He had also said that as long as TMC and the Left rule West Bengal, the state’s industry can never flourish.

While political affiliations are transient and many have changed sides all too often, these tweets certainly make one wonder what changed his opinions.

TMC geared up to observe Martyr’s day, previously termed as a ‘farce’ by the Congress and BJP

Braving the rain, thousands of Trinamool supporters from across the State are heading towards the venue at Esplanade in central Kolkata to host the 17th edition of West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee’s annual July 21 rally.

“Like every year, we are organizing our annual #21JulyShahidDibas rally in Dharmatala. Our workers and supporters from across #Bengal and other States have come to the city. We welcome one and all. Dharmatala Chalo (Come to Esplanade),” Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee tweeted.

Elaborate security arrangements have been made for the rally. “About 6,000 police personnel will be deployed on July 21 for the rally,” Supratim Sarkar, Joint Commissioner of Kolkata Police (Headquarters) said.

Unlike previous years, there is no Mukul Roy or Madan Mitra, and the gathering is being organized by the chief minister’s nephew Abhishek Banerjee, himself, chief of the Trinamool’s youth wing. Some things, however, will not change. Lakhs of supporters will rally at Esplanade East in central Kolkata, throwing the city into chaos and bringing traffic to a standstill for a few hours.

Like every year, Banerjee is likely to spell out her political strategy ahead of 2019 Lok Sabha polls. “We will fight 2019 alone in Bengal. We will help them in Delhi but in Bengal, the CPM, the BJP,  Congress fight against us. Next year, on July 21, we will celebrate our victory across the country,” Mamata Banerjee said today at the Martyrs Day rally.

In a veiled attack at the PM, referring to the tent collapse at the Midnapore rally, West Bengal said, “Those who can’t make a tent want to build a country.”

Several Opposition party leaders are expected to join Trinamool at the rally. Expelled Communist Party of India (Marxist) MP Ritabrata Banerjee and senior CPI(M) leader and former MP from Murshidabad Moinul Hassan are expected to join Trinamool along with former BJP MP Chandan Mitra, who is already seen sharing the stage with Mamta Banerjee as she addresses the crowd.

The West Bengal ruling party observes July 21 every year as ‘Shahid Dibas’ or Martyr’s Day to pay homage to the youth Congress workers who were killed in police firing on July 21, 1993.

As the cadres say that the party members would pledge in the presence of lakhs of people that we would not allow any communal tensions to flare up within Bengal or in India, many opposition members maintain that the event is a farce.

Last year BJP state chief Dilip Ghosh has accused the TMC of holding the rally for political gains. “None of the martyrs (those killed in 1993 firing) have got justice. The person who shot them was an officer then and today he is a minister in the TMC. He is governing the country,” Ghosh said.

Meanwhile, the Left had slammed the Trinamool Congress for not taking a firm stand on findings of the inquiry report, the Congress had stated that TMC has no connection with what happened in 1993.

“July 21 is supposed to remember the martyrs of 1993. The TMC was not even formed back then. In fact, many of the people who were directly or indirectly responsible for the firing are now holding positions in the state government. We observe Martyrs’ Day, our Youth Congress does it every year. I would also like to point out that the government could have taken so many steps in the last six years to help the victims’ families, but Mamata Banerjee has not done so. Even the inquiry report has not seen the light of day. So Martyrs’ Day is all a farce. It has nothing to do with remembering the Youth Congress activists, who were killed in police firing under the Left Government,” OP Mishra of the Congress said last year.

Times of India tries to paint Rahul’s humiliation as a victory, gets schooled on Twitter

The marathon no-confidence motion proceedings got over in the Lok Sabha late Friday evening, with a resounding victory for the Modi government.

Apart from leaving the opposition to pick up its broken pieces of pride and dignity, the day also marked a new episode in Rahul Gandhi’s public drama. The Congress president first gained some brownie points by hugging the Prime Minister, which was later dismissed by many as a stunt after he was found winking at his party colleague when he returned to his seat.

Overall the Social Media’s interpretation of Rahul’s stunt was that of mockery and hilarity, but not too surprisingly many journalists placed the Congress President on a high pedestal. The admiration for Rahul by a section of journalists was so evident that they even slandered Lok Sabha speaker Sumitra Mahajan after she slammed the Congress President for his stunts.

Such a positive portrayal of Rahul has now also crept into the news stories of Times of India after it in an article titled, “Rahul Gandhi gains confidence, PM Modi gets a hug“, which prima facie tried to paint Rahul’s humiliation as a victory. The content too tried to paint a positive image of Rahul Gandhi, by claiming that his hug with Modi signified inclusiveness.

Predictably this act by Times of India did not escape the gaze of twitter users who proceeded to school it for its actions:

Incidentally TOI was not alone in this regards and Indian Express to carried a similar headline:

This raises the question where there was a larger understanding between the media and journalists at play, so that Rahul can go down as the hero who went down fighting, and not a dynast who was handed another defeat in the eyes of the nation?
