Pathankot terrorist attack mastermind Shahid Latif killed by unknown gunmen in Pakistan’s Sialkot, was released by UPA govt as a ‘goodwill gesture’

In another incident of mysterious killings of Jihadi terrorists in Pakistan, Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terrorist Shahid Latif has been killed by unidentified gunmen in Sialkot, Pakistan. He was the mastermind of the 2016 Pathankot terrorist attack and a handler of the JeM. Latif was India’s most wanted terrorist and was wanted by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) in a UAPA case.

Reports said citing intelligence sources that Latif was shot by unknown gunmen in Sialkot on Wednesday morning (11 October). Local media reported that Latif was shot at point-blank range by shooters who were aware of the local topography. This suggests that local terrorists killed the JeM terrorists.

The terrorist had planned several target-killing attacks in Jammu and Kashmir, including the Pathankot attack on January 2, 2016. He stayed in Sialkot and sent terrorists to India to execute the terror attacks.

Latif was associated with the terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and handled the primary commanding operations of the organization. He was involved in the planning of several terrorist attacks launched by JeM on India. He was also declared a proclaimed offender by the Indian government and was wanted by the NIA in a UAPA case.

It is to be noted that the NIA had filed a chargesheet in the Pathankot terror case and had identified four masterminds behind the attack, one of whom was Shahid Latif. “He had motivated and sent down the four JeM terrorists to Pathankot. Sitting in Pakistan, Latif also coordinated with them before and during the terror attack,” the NIA said.

Shahid Latif was arrested on terror accusations in India in 1993. He was tried and imprisoned. However, he was released by the Congress-led UPA govt in 2010, along with 24 other terrorists. According to an NIA investigation, Shahid Latif returned to the Jihadi factory in Pakistan after he was released and allowed to go to Pakistan.

It is also interesting to note that Shahid Latif, the primary handler of the terrorist team that attacked the Pathankot airbase in January in the year 2016, was released by India in 2010 as part of the Manmohan Singh government’s effort to mend ties with Pakistan.

Latif, 47, had been imprisoned in India for 11 years for terrorist crimes. He was one of 25 terrorists from Lashkar-e-Taiba, Hizb-ul-Mujahideen, and JeM who were released on May 28, 2010, as part of the then-UPA government’s outreach activity to the hostile neighbor. They were imprisoned in Jammu, Srinagar, Agra, Varanasi, Naini (UP), and Tihar before being deported to Pakistan via Wagah.

Earlier, the same Jaish terrorists who hijacked Indian Airlines flight IC-814 to obtain the liberation of their leader, terrorist Maulana Masood Azhar, along with two other prisoners in return for 154 passengers in December 1999, had demanded the release of Latif. Latif and the other 31 people on Jaish’s “wish list” were not, however, released by the Vajpayee administration at the time.

The terrorist was released by the UPA government in the year 2010 as a ‘goodwill gesture’. He has now been killed by unknown assailants in Sialkot, Pakistan.

‘This is our area, don’t organise Garba during Navratri or we’ll pelt stones’: Islamists threaten tribals in Bharuch; locals complain to collector

Navratri is just a few days away. But for some time, some elements have been trying to spread fear and terror during Hindu festivals. In the recent past, there have been several incidents of stone pelting on religious processions of Hindus, festivals like Garba, or attacks during the celebration of other Hindu festivals. In Ikhar village of Amod taluka of Bharuch district in Gujarat, Muslims have threatened the Hindu tribal community not to organise Navratri and said they will pelt stones if the event is held.

According to reports, the tribal community of Ikhar village, a Muslim-dominated village in Amod taluka of Bharuch district, has submitted a memorandum at the collector’s office. The petition states that the local Muslim leader of the village had threatened the people of the tribal community not to celebrate Navratri. Meanwhile, it has also been complained that tribal youths were abused and called by casteist words. Tribal community leaders and social organisations have petitioned demanding justice over the incident.

‘They abused us badly and threatened to pelt stones’: Local Hindu leader

To know the ground reality, OpIndia tried to get information by talking to Shailesh Vasava, who organises Navratri every year in Ikhar village. Shailesh told OpIndia, “Like every year, this year too, we were cleaning the open space of our village to organise Navratri in our village. I was accompanied by some other youths from the village. While we were clearing the ground, people named Mohsin Ali Khan Pathan and Ali Hasan Pathan, who lived nearby, came and started abusing us with reference to our mother and sister.”

He said most of the population in his village is Muslims and the tribal Hindus live in this Muslim-dominated village. He said, “They came and abused us. We told them ‘When we live together in a village then why do you behave like this?’ On hearing this, the Muslim leaders became more agitated and said, ‘Call whomever you want to call. This is our area, we will not let you do Navratri here’.”

According to Shailesh, the Muslims further issued threats by saying, “Still, if you do Garba, then we will uproot the mandap and pelt stones.” According to Shailesh, the population of Hindus in the village is very small and they have no other place to organise good festive events.

Local Muslims have tortured Hindus even in the past

Speaking to OpIndia, Navratri organiser Shailesh Vasava said, “This is not the first time that Muslims in the village have behaved like this. Even before this, these people have done many such things.”

He said, “Once they broke the place where Mataji’s Garba and holy lamp were placed. But we did not complain as we had to live among them. We use the same space to celebrate our festivals or on good holy occasions and every time they create a problem. This time they have threatened not to build a Navratri mandap and not to organise Garba.”

At the same time, Shailesh alleged that the tribal Hindu women of the village have also been treated rudely several times by the same Muslims. Abusive language is often used against women by those people. No one can say anything to them as their numbers are high.

Shailesh said, “As they have issued threats, we are worried about our future. They may harm us in the future. Our demand before the administration is that we should be protected and given justice.”

After the incident came to light, the Veer Birsa Brigade of Bharuch and various organizations of the tribal community came together and submitted an application to the Bharuch district collector’s office. The petition demanded that justice and protection be provided to the tribal community living in Ikhar village and punitive action be taken against the ‘leaders’ of the Muslim community who threatened them.

‘Consider waving of Palestine flag as a criminal offense as it indicates support to Hamas’: British Home Sec Suella Braverman tells police

On Tuesday (10th October), the home secretary Suella Braverman issued a letter discouraging the citizens from waving the Palestine flags in the country. The letter read that waving a Palestinian flag on British streets may not be legitimate if it is done to show support for acts of terrorism.

The home secretary asked chief constables in England and Wales to crack down on any attempts to terrorize or harass members of the Jewish community using flags, songs, or anti-Israeli symbols.

“It is not just explicit pro-Hamas symbols and chants that are cause for concern. I would encourage police to consider whether chants such as: ‘From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free’ should be understood as an expression of a violent desire to see Israel erased from the world and whether its use in certain contexts may amount to a racially aggravated section 5 public order offense,” the official letter read.

It added that pro-Palestine symbols at anti-Israeli demonstrations should also be seriously dealt with by the constables. “Context is crucial. Behaviors that are legitimate in some circumstances, for example, the waving of a Palestinian flag, may not be legitimate such as when intended to glorify acts of terrorism. Nor is it acceptable to drive through Jewish neighborhoods, or single out Jewish members of the public, to aggressively chant or wave pro-Palestinian symbols. Where harassment is identified, I would encourage the police to take swift and appropriate enforcement action,” Braverman said.

The home secretary also noted that Hamas is a proscribed terrorist organization and anyone extending support to Hamas, inviting support for Hamas, arranging meetings in support of Hamas, and publishing articles and images in support of Hamas will be considered as a criminal offense.

“I encourage all chief officers to ensure that any protests which could exacerbate community tensions by way of offensive placards, chants, or behaviors that could be construed as incitement or harassment, have a strong police presence to ensure perpetrators are appropriately dealt with and that communities feel protected,” she wrote.

While the decision to arrest is an operational matter, the home secretary urged the constables to ensure that forces are used to prevent disorder and distress to the communities and that the officers should act if there are any incidents that stray into criminality.

Braverman’s letter came after Rishi Sunak pledged that anyone in the UK who supported Hamas would be held to account in the aftermath of the brutal attack on Israel. During a visit to Staffordshire on 10th October, the prime minister stated that the government was ready to assist any British residents in need.

Sunak reiterated his support for Israel, declaring his solidarity with the country and its people in the face of these barbaric acts of terrorism. Sunak said he was unequivocal with them that we will make sure that they feel safe at this time during his visit to a synagogue in north London on 9th October night.

“Police have been given very clear guidance and advice from the government to do everything that they can to keep the community safe. Officers will clamp down on any behavior that falls foul of the law”, Sunak was quoted as saying.

“I’d just remind everyone that Hamas is a proscribed terrorist organization. People should not be supporting Hamas and we will make sure that we hold people to account if they are,” he reiterated.

The Hamas who has been opposing the very idea of the formation of Israel, launched a deadly attack on 7th October on Israel killing thousands. In response to the brutal terrorist attack on Israel that killed over 900 civilians and wounded over 2,500 others, Israel has declared war on Hamas and has been pounding the Gaza Strip with bombs for 3 days now. The UK, US, and other NATO nations have declared support for Israel.

Hundreds of Israelis and foreign nationals are believed to have been taken hostage by Hamas. Hamas has massacred civilians brutally after attacking a music festival, and family homes in Southern Israel. Social media posts have surfaced where Hamas terrorists are seen killing children, women, and the elderly. The exact number of hostages is yet unknown.

The Central Bureau of Investigation has registered a case against News Click on violation of the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act, sources said on Wednesday.

According to the CBI sources, the investigation agency’s search is underway at two locations in Delhi.

The Patiala House Court of Delhi on Tuesday sent NewsClick’s Founder and Editor-in-Chief Prabir Purkayastha and HR head Amit Chakravarty to 10 days of judicial custody.

They were arrested last week by Delhi Police in a case filed under the anti-terror law UAPA following allegations that News Portal NewsClick received huge money for pro-China propaganda.

The Additional Sessions Judge Dr Hardeep Kaur after hearing the arguments at length, allowed the Delhi Police plea seeking 10 days of Judicial custody of Purkayastha and Chakravarty in the matter.

Special Cell of Delhi Police on Tuesday produced Prabir Purkayastha and Amit Chakraborty in the trial after the end of their remand period.

Advocate Arshdeep Singh appearing for Prabir Purkayastha said “My client is a journalist of repute and he is a renowned person for independent voice. But they (the Agency) filed an FIR under stringent sections of UAPA. The agency’s allegation is that I’m associated with Gautam Navlakha who is facing UAPA charges. And since he is facing UAPA charges, you also face UAPA charges. Mere association with someone has become a crime? He is a fellow journalist. I have known him since 1991. Now you are suddenly targeting me because of this association.”

The Delhi Police’s Special Cell in its FIR against news web portal NewsClick’s founder and Editor-in-Chief Prabir Purkayastha stated that People’s Dispatch Portal, owned and maintained by M/S PPK Newsclick Studio Pvt Ltd has been used for intentionally peddling false narratives through paid news in lieu of crores of Rupees of illegally routed foreign funds as part of the conspiracy.

Delhi Police FIR further stated that foreign funds in crores have been infused illegally in India by Indian and foreign entities inimical to India in pursuance of conspiracy with the intention to disrupt the sovereignty and territorial integrity of India, to cause disaffection against India and to threaten the unity, integrity, security of India.

Air Canada pilot found giving genocidal calls to kill Jews, and wipe out Israel, taken out of service

On 10th October (local time), the Canadian Airline Air Canada grounded a pilot identified as Mostafa Ezzo after screenshots of his social media stories went viral, where he expressed his anti-Israel sentiments after the Hamas terrorist attack on Israeli soil.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Air Canada wrote, “We are aware of the unacceptable posts made by an Air Canada pilot. We are taking this matter very seriously, and he was taken out of service on Mon, 9th October. We firmly denounce violence in all forms.”

In one of his stories, Mostafa was wearing the Palestinian flag on his uniform. In another photograph, he was seen holding a placard that read, “Israel, Hitler is proud of you”. In another photograph, he was seen holding a placard with a figure throwing the Israeli flag in the dustbin with the caption “Keep the world clean”. In another story, he wrote, “f*ck you, Israel. Burn in Hell.”

According to a report in the Toronto Sun, the action was taken after concerns about the social media posts allegedly containing profane commentary about Israel from the pilot. Air Canada spokesperson Peter Fitzpatrick told the Toronto Star, “We did this because this individual’s opinions and publications on social media do not represent Air Canada’s views in any way.” He added, “This person has never been authorised to speak publicly while identifying themselves as an Air Canada employee.” Mostafa’s Instagram page has been deactivated. It is unclear if he did it himself or if he was deplatformed by Instagram.

Air Canada suspended flights to Tel Aviv due to Israel Hamas war

Reportedly, Air Canada has temporarily suspended its flight routes to Tel Aviv due to the Hamas terror attack. Following the attack on Israel by the terrorist organisation Hamas, Israel declared a full-fledged war to eliminate the group. Since the war began, 1,000 people have been killed in Israel’s counter-attack, and over 2,800 people have been reportedly injured.

Israel Defense forces say dozens of Israeli Air Force fighter jets struck over 200 targets in the Al-Furqan neighbourhood–a terrorist hotspot from which Hamas devises and executes their attacks.

In a post on X, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said, “We were attacked on Saturday with such barbarism that has not been seen since the Holocaust. Hundreds of people were slaughtered, entire families were murdered in their beds and homes, women were brutally raped and murdered; More than a hundred were kidnapped, including children.”

“The scale of this evil has only grown. They forced dozens of children, burned them and executed them. They cut off the heads of soldiers, they murdered the young people who were celebrating a festival in the wild, they surrounded them with jeeps and shot them into a hole in the ground. We have not seen such barbarism in the entire history of the State of Israel. They are even worse than Daesh (ISIS)- and that’s how we should treat them,” he added.

Canada has a problem of shielding and protecting terrorists, Nazis and criminals

While Mostafa has been grounded by Air Canada, it has to be noted that Canada has a serious problem of shielding terrorists, criminals, gangsters, and Nazis. The country has ruined its relationship with India over its repeated failure to extradite wanted terrorists and criminals who are living in Canada. In recent times, Canada accused India of killing a Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar on Canadian soil, claiming he was a Canadian citizen. Nijjar was a wanted terrorist who had a red corner notice issued by Interpol. He had entered Canada on a fake passport and a Hindu name. Despite his tainted history, Canada granted him citizenship.

Furthermore, there are many wanted gangsters and Khalistani terrorists living in Canada that the country has refused to hand over to India. Pro-Khalistani elements often indulge in anti-India activities on Canadian soil without any fear of consequences. So much so that they called for the assassinations of Indian diplomats, raising serious concerns for their safety and security in Canada. However, Canada failed to act and arrest those who were involved in making such threats.

Recently, Canada was criticized on the international platform for giving shelter to Nazi war criminals and celebrating one of those, Yaroslav Hunka, in the Canadian Parliament. After the uproar, the Canadian government threw the Speaker under the bus and blamed him, claiming PM Justin Trudeau was unaware that Hunka was a Nazi and not a war hero.

Israel-Hamas War: US Secretary of State Antony Blinken to visit Israel, Biden equates Hamas to ISIS

0

On Wednesday (11th October), US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said that he would be visiting war-hit Israel to meet the top Israeli leaders, express solidarity, and assess the situation there.

During a press briefing on Tuesday, Mathew Miller, a US State Department spokesperson said, “It will be a message of solidarity and support. He, of course, wants to hear from the leaders of Israel, hear from them directly about the situation they’re facing about what they need and how we can best support them.”

Miller added that Blinken will arrive in Israel on Thursday. The State Department spokesperson also informed that following his visit to Israel, Antony Blinken will head to Jordan to meet the officials there.

Taking to X, Antony Blinken announced his Israel visit and posted, “Tomorrow, I will leave for Israel to engage with our Israeli partners directly about the situation on the ground and to discuss ways we can continue to support them in the fight against these terrorist attacks. Our support for Israel remains unwavering.”

Biden compares Hamas to ISIS

Notably, US President Joe Biden during a White House speech announced his unwavering support to Israel against Hamas terrorists adding that the country will provide additional military aid to Israel. President Biden also equated Harakat al-Muqawama al-Islamiya commonly known as Hamas with ISIL (ISIS). Biden also called Hamas a terrorist organization with a “stated purpose for being is to kill Jews.”

“This is what they mean by human tragedy, an atrocity on an appalling scale,” Biden said. “We’re going to continue to stand united, supporting the people of Israel who are suffering unspeakable losses and opposing the hatred and violence of terrorism,” Biden said.

The US President further announced that the country will be providing additional military assistance including ammunitions and interceptors.

“We’re surging additional military assistance, including ammunition and interceptors to replenish Iron Dome. We’re going to make sure that Israel does not run out of these critical assets to defend its cities and its citizens,” Biden said.

Moreover, Biden said that the US Department of Defense had the USS Gerald R. Ford Carrier Strike Group to the Eastern Mediterranean and bolstered the US’s fighter aircraft presence. Biden added that the US is “ready to move in additional assets as needed.”

Meanwhile, an NBC News report suggests that the Biden administration is contemplating if aid to Israel could be linked to more funding to Ukraine as a strategy to accomplish both spending priorities.

In response to the brutal terrorist attack on Israel that killed over 900 civilians, including 14 American citizens, and wounded thousands, Israel has declared war on Hamas and has been pounding the Gaza Strip with bombs. The US and other NATO nations have declared support for Israel.

The exact number of hostages is unknown.

2 million Palestinians trapped in Gaza as Israel bombs all over the strip, Egypt closes Rafah crossing while WHO tries to send in aid

On 10th October, it came to light that Egypt has been taking measures to prevent a mass exodus of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip into its Sinai Peninsula from the Rafah border crossing. As the Israeli bombardment has intensified following Hamas terrorists’ attack on Israel, the main exit point from the Palestinian enclave has been closed.

The situation has prompted Egypt to call Israel to ensure safe passage for Palestinians from Gaza rather than push them towards Rafah.

Source: Economist

In a statement, President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi emphasized the seriousness of the escalation in Gaza. He expressed his country’s commitment to finding a negotiated solution to the war between Israel and Palestine through regional and international cooperation.

Reportedly, Rafah is the only possible crossing point for 2.3 million Palestinians living in Gaza. Israeli counterattack on Hamas has led to its closure from both Egyptian and Palestinian sides. Notably, the densely populated Gaza Strip is surrounded by the Sea and Israel, which has announced a total siege of Gaza. While Israel is using its air power as retaliation to the Hamas terror attack, it is contemplating a potential ground offensive that could happen anytime. Currently, over 100,000 soldiers and tanks have been mobilized to surround Gaza.

Since 2007, the movement of people and goods in and out of Gaza has been controlled by Egypt and Israel. Despite diplomatic and economic relations between the two countries since 1978, Egypt’s general public has been critical of Israel’s role in the region. Many Egyptians see Israel as an oppressor of the Palestinians. They also consider Israel as a former occupier of the Sinai Peninsula.

Egypt was the first Arab country to make peace with Israel. It has a history of mediating between Israel and Palestinian factions during conflicts. The country has reportedly worked actively to prevent further escalation in the ongoing war.

The Israeli military had earlier recommended that Palestinians fleeing air strikes in Gaza head to Egypt, but this advice was later revised.

The Interior Ministry of Hamas in Gaza reported that an entry gate at the Rafah crossing was hit by an Israeli airstrike on Monday and Tuesday, which disrupted the border operations. Considering the ongoing Islamist insurgency in Sinai that began a decade ago, Egyptian authorities have increased their military presence near the border and are closely monitoring the situation.

As a possible refugee crisis bubbles up in Gaza, Egypt announced yesterday that they are closing the Rafah crossing.

The blockade in Gaza is still ongoing as the Rafah crossing remains closed. Egypt is worried about the additional burden of hosting more refugees as it is already facing economic challenges. The country might find it difficult to support more refugees, and it could exacerbate its existing struggles. The presence of radical Hamas terrorists among the Gaza population is another reason why Egypt is hesitant to open the Rafah crossing.

Reports have emerged claiming that Israel has been bombing the vicinity of the Rafah crossing too. As per reports, despite warning by Israel, that aid convoys might get bombed too, Egypt has been trying to send some aid trucks into Gaza.

WHO says they will get in to provide aid, hospitals are running on generators in Gaza

The World Health Organisation has informed that they are working with Egyptian and Israeli authorities to ensure a humanitarian corridor inside Gaza, possibly through the Rafah crossing because that is basically the only access point currently.

“On 9 October, WHO Director-General Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus met with the Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, who agreed to a WHO request to facilitate the delivery of health and other humanitarian supplies from WHO to Gaza via the Rafah crossing. Such humanitarian corridors must be protected”, WHO stated on its website.

“In the Gaza Strip, hospitals are running on backup generators with fuel likely to run out in the coming days. They have exhausted the supplies WHO pre-positioned before the escalation. The life-saving health response is now dependent on getting new supplies and fuel to health care facilities as fast as possible”, WHO added.

“Not our problem”: Israel says to the question of how Gaza residents will leave the strip

It is notable here that Israel had warned Gaza residents to leave the Strip as they would be attacking the area in response to Hamas’ terrorist attack on 7th October that killed over 9000 Israelis, mostly civilians. Considering that Gaza is basically “closed”, with Israel on the North and East, the sea in the West, and a narrow border with Egypt in the South where the Rafah exit is already closed by Egypt, questions were raised as to where would the roughly 2.3 million Palestinians are supposed to go.

Lt. Col. Richard Hecht, the spokesperson of the IDF stated that Israel is not in charge of the Rafah crossing, indirectly saying that it is up to Egypt to open or close it, and the exit point is not Israel’s problem.

It is notable here that the IDF had already declared that water, electricity, and supplies, all will be withheld from crossing into Gaza from the Israeli side.

Gaza is basically a densely packed ‘walled city‘, often described as the world’s largest open-air prison. With over 2 million Palestinians trapped inside, the Israeli bombardments are very likely to cause a massive casualty number. Apart from a large number of deaths, a big refugee crisis is also staring at Egypt, and possibly Europe, as many Palestinians would prefer to cross the Mediterranean to seek refuge in European nations.

Israel-Hamas war

On 7th October, the terrorist organisation Hamas launched a terror attack on Israeli soil. Over 900 people were killed in the attack. In response to the brutal terrorist attack on Israel that killed over 900 civilians and wounded over 2,500 others, Israel has declared war on Hamas and has been pounding the Gaza Strip with bombs for 3 days now.

The US and other NATO nations have declared support for Israel. The exact number of hostages is unknown.

Videos of Hamas imams calling for the annihilation of Jews go viral in the wake of terror attack against Israel

0

On 10th October (Tuesday), the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) shared a video compilation of some Muslim clerics (Imams) and Hamas cadre in which they can be heard giving calls for ‘annihilation’ of the Jewish community.

Taking to X, the IDF wrote, “Hamas is a genocidal terrorist organisation. They said it themselves,” along with the video compilation of what Hamas imams have been preaching in the Gaza Strip.

In the 55-second video, a compilation of several undated anti-semitic remarks could be heard from the Hamas cadre and its clergy.

The Official Sheikh of Hamas, Hamad Al-Regeb could be heard saying, “Oh Allah, bring annihilation upon the Jews, paralyze them, destroy their entity, Oh Allah, enable us to get to the necks of the Jews.”

Going ahead, the senior cadre of Hamas and Former interior minister of Gaza, Fathi Hamad threatened, “The day of your (Jews) slaughter, extermination, and annihilation is near.”

One unnamed Hamas Imam while delivering Friday Sermons for Hamas ranted that until not a single Jew or Zionist is left on the face of the Earth, we will do Jihad.

In another instance, the Imam could be heard saying that the moment will come when their property will be destroyed and their sons annihilated.

Citing the Quran, the co-founder of Hamas, Mahmoud Al-Zahar preached, “(The Quran says) Kill them wherever you may find them. We will fight them wherever we can.”

Another unnamed Imam during Friday Sermon for Hamas elaborated, “Our doctrine in fighting you (the Jews) is that we will totally exterminate you, we will not leave a single one of you alive.”

Notably, following the dastardly attack on 7th October, the Israeli security forces and government officials have been highlighting that Hamas is equivalent to the other dreaded terrorist organisation, the Islamic State (ISIS), and urging the world community to come on the same page against this terrorist organisation with the same seriousness to save humanity that they demonstrated against ISIS.

However, attempts are being made to justify these massacres of innocent and unsuspecting Israeli civilians as a fight for Justice against the ‘occupier’ Israel to get Independence and freedom.

Meanwhile, more grisly details of horror that Israeli citizens faced are coming to the fore as Israeli soldiers are engaged in clearance operation after regaining control of territories captured by the Hamas terrorists. During one such clearance operation, the Israeli forces found that Hamas had killed over 40 babies, out of which some of them had been beheaded while some victims were burnt in their houses with their families.

Some videos that have been captured on reveal how Hamas targeted innocent Israeli civilians and inflicted brutalities in Israel.

The recent Israel-Hamas war started after the State of Israel came under attack by Palestine-based Islamic terror outfit Hamas on Saturday (7th October), resulting in the death of more than 900 Israelis. About 2400 people have been wounded and over 100 still remain in the captivity of the terrorists.

‘Jeetega bhai Jeetega, Pakistan jeetega’: Chants of victory to Pakistan engulf Hyderabad stadium; leave social media users in shock

Loud chants of “Jeetega bhai Jeetega, Pakistan jeetega” engulfed the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Tuesday evening during the Pakistan vs Sri Lanka match of the World Cup 2023.

Several social media users took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to express their shock over the support Pakistan was receiving in its match against Sri Lanka.

“Loud chants of “Jeetega bhai jeetega, Pakistan jeetega” in Hyderabad stadium. They did not start organically but the DJ said “jeetega bhai jeetega” & left it to the crowd to finish the famous chant,” said one of the X users, while sharing a video of the same.

Yet another X user said that the entire Hyderabad stadium is filled with Pakistan supporters who are enthusiastically cheering for their team.

“Whole stadium is cheering so much for Pakistan team, which Hyderabad are they playing???” an X user, flummoxed by the support that the Pakistan team was receiving at Hyderabad tweeted.

“While Sri Lanka is geographically closer to Hyderabad, Pakistan is demographically closer to Hyderabad to receive such support,” tweeted another social media user.

Some X users also resorted to sarcasm to highlight the irony of the Pakistan cricket team receiving support and loud cheers in a match played in India.

Former Pakistani cricketer says the Pakistan cricket team will receive support in Hyderabad and Ahmedabad because of their “high Muslim population”

Earlier in September, former Pakistani cricketer Mushtaq Ahmed said that cities like Hyderabad and Ahmedabad have a very high Muslim population and therefore they will support the Pakistani cricket team in the upcoming matches of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 to be held in India. Mushtaq Ahmed made these remarks when he was talking as a panellist in a discussion on the Pakistani news channel Samaa TV.

Pakistani cricket team arrived in India at Hyderabad on 27th September 2023 to participate in the World Cup. Pakistani woman cricketer Iram Javed and Pakistani cricket analyst Hafiz Imran were among others on the panel with the anchor.

When asked if the Pakistan cricket team will receive support in India, Mushtaq Ahmed said, “Both of their cities – Ahmedabad and Hyderabad – have a very high Muslim population. This is why you must have seen the way they were welcomed outside the airport and even outside the hotel. Any of your correspondents or our player Khwaja might have covered that.”

OpIndia Impact: PASA Act revoked and Nilesh Parmar released from jail, was arrested after Islamists pelted stones on Ganesh Visarjan Yatra in Vadodara

It is an established fact that the media, commonly referred to as the fourth pillar of democracy, has the power to bring about positive change in society when it works responsibly. On Monday, October 9, the Vadodara police revoked the stringent Prevention of Anti-Social Activities Act (PASA) it had pressed on Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) worker from Savli, Nilesh Parmar and released him from jail.

The RSS worker was arrested after the Vadodara incident where Islamists pelted stones on the Ganesh Visarjan Yatra at Manjusar in Savli taluka of Vadodara. Many Hindu devotees were injured in the attack and the idol of Lord Ganesha was also damaged. Both parties lodged complaints with the police after the stone-pelting incident. During their operation, the police detained a Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) worker from Savli, Nilesh Parmar, and later sent him to Ahmedabad Central Jail under the Prevention of Anti-Social Activities Act (PASA). Hindu organisations and locals opposed the action, calling it unfair.

While Nilesh Parmar’s arrest did not manage to garner mainstream media attention, OpIndia contacted Nilesh Parmar’s family and tried to know their side of the story.

His family had confirmed that Nilesh was not even present at the place when the incident took place. They stated that the arrest of Nilesh was the result of a conspiracy allegedly orchestrated by the Muslim Sarpanch of their village and other local Muslims in their village, where Muslims are the majority.

Two days after OpIndia published the report, Nilesh Parmar was set free by the Vadodara police after all the false charges were dropped against him. On Monday, October 9, Nilesh Parmar’s family waited anxiously outside Ahmedabad’s Sabarmati Jail where Nilesh Parmar was housed. Nilesh Parmar’s mother, Madhuben Thakorbhai Parmar, could not contain her happiness when finally she saw her son coming out of prison as a free man.

When Nilesh Parmar reached his village in Savli, Vadodara with his family and friends, thousands of Hindus had gathered there to welcome him. Nilesh Parmar got a grand welcome at his village. All his friends and family members as well as Hindu neighbours burst crackers to celebrate his return.

OpIndia spoke to Nilesh Parmar. Nilesh said, “This is the victory of truth. I was wrongly implicated in this case. Even though I was not present at the scene, my name was added to the complaint under political pressure. This has been done to me many times before.”

Nilesh and his family also expressed gratitude to OpIndia for reporting their side of the story. Thanking OpIndia, Nilesh’s emotional mother said, “No one else except you approached us when my son fell victim to the injustice. You came and gave us assurance and the courage to fight.”

The mainstream media chose to remain mum

The media’s primary role is to apprise the public of the truth and, if required, question the government and the administration to account for any injustices meted out to the people. However, this basic fact has been ignored by the majority of media outlets today.

Had they not forgotten this responsibility, they would not have remained silent on the wrongful and arbitrary action taken against the local RSS worker, following the attack on a Hindu procession by a fanatic Muslim mob in Manjusar, Vadodara city. They would have written, printed or at the least spoken about the attack on Hindus and the false implication of a Hindu in a crime carried out by Islamists.

While the mainstream media decided to stay mute, several leftist YouTubers worked overtime to defend the Muslim perpetrators and blame Hindus instead. They shared videos and posted articles which raised fingers at Hindus. “Why do Hindus need to carry out their yatra through Muslim areas?” they questioned, essentially trying to blame Hindus for provoking the Muslims. With such videos and posts, they tried their best to shield the Muslim attackers and blame Hindus for the attack. OpIndia also tried to give a logical answer to these illogical conspiracy theories peddled by several leftist YouTubers and self-proclaimed journalists.

OpIndia is delighted to have kept the ethical journalism standards and revealed the truth which, in turn, assisted an innocent person in getting justice.

OpIndia Impact

OpIndia on October 7, published a report on its interaction with Nilesh Parmar’s family. Throughout our discussion, Madhuben’s voice exhibited a sense of distress, clearly affected by the recent turn of events involving her son. Throughout our interaction, Madhuben consistently asserted that Nilesh was entirely innocent. She claimed that Nilesh was present at a different location on the day of the incident in question. She said that Nilesh had actually gone out to attend a social gathering. and only one day after the story was published.

By the time we prepared a report after verifying all the information and evidence we gathered, no other mainstream media had written anything on the subject or even bothered to contact Parmar’s family to know the truth. Not only this, until Tuesday (October 10) evening, no media outlet reported on this matter.

However, our efforts paid off, as only two days after we highlighted the issue, the RSS worker was cleared of all the charges that were invoked against him and released from jail. Nilesh Parmar is now with his family and has extended his gratitude to OpIndia for bringing out his truth before the public. Although we are pleased with our unbiased reporting on this particular issue, we are baffled by the mainstream media’s stoic silence when Muslims commit crimes and Hindus are the victims. How long will such leftist YouTubers, journalists, and media outlets continue to concoct conspiracies to cast Hindus as the perpetrators of crimes, regardless of who actually committed them, is the urgent topic at hand.
