Illegal properties of BJP leader’s cousin bulldozed; SHO removed: Yogi Govt silences opposition with impartial action in Sultanpur doctor murder case

0

The district administration in Sultanpur, on Monday, September 25, bulldozed properties belonging to Ajay Narayan Singh and his kin. Ajay Narayan Singh is the prime accused in the Sultanpur doctor murder case, wherein a doctor posted at a Community Health Centre (CHC) in Uttar Pradesh’s Sultanpur was allegedly beaten to death on Saturday, September 23 over a land dispute.

Accused Ajay Narayan Singh is the nephew of Bharatiya Janata Party’s former district president Girish Narayan Singh alias Babban Singh.

Video of the bulldozer action taken against the unlawful encroachment on government land by the BJP leader went viral on social media. In the video, the authorities can be seen running the bulldozer on the office of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha in Sultanpur, reportedly built on municipality land, usurped by the accused and his relatives.

According to reports, the land that was freed by the officials was worth Rs 4 crores.

Following this move, the administration’s bulldozer arrived at the land in Shastri Nagar that the deceased doctor had purchased through a deed of sale. The administration, in collaboration with revenue officials, completed the delineation and removed the illegal encroachment on the land owned by the deceased doctor. The administration has so far removed encroachment from property valued at approximately Rs 4 crore.

According to DM Jasjeet Kaur, protection has been provided to the deceased’s family.

Besides the bulldozer action, the Sultanpur police in Uttar Pradesh arrested Jagdish Narayan, the father of Ajay Narayan Singh, who has been accused of beating Ghanshyam Tiwari, a 53-year-old doctor to death over a land dispute. Police announced a reward of Rs 50,000 on Ajay Narayan’s arrest.

Also, Kotwali Nagar SHO Ramashish Upadhyay was removed from his post for his laxity in handling the murder case.

The police had also carried out multiple raids to arrest the accused. Superintendent of Police (SP) Somen Burma had assured that the accused would be arrested soon, adding that several teams, including the city police, are conducting raids to arrest the culprits.

The actions were taken based on a complaint filed by the deceased’s doctor’s wife Nisha Tiwari on Monday September 25. In addition to the primary accused, Ajay Narayan Singh, she accused BJYM President Chandan Narayan Singh, former BJP National Working committee member Girish Narayan Singh, Vijay Narayan Singh, and Jagdish Narayan Singh of being complicit in the murder.

Sultanpur doctor murder case

Dr Ghanshyam Tiwari, a resident of Shastri Nagar, was posted at Jaisinghpur Community Health Centre. On Saturday (September 23), he stepped out for some work. Later in the evening, an auto-rickshaw driver dropped him off outside his house in a critical condition and fled. Reports suggested that the doctor was beaten to death by Ajay Narayan Singh and his associates.

The doctor had reportedly purchased land from Ajay Narayan Singh’s father, Jagdish Narayan but there was a dispute over its possession, police had said earlier.

Speaking about the murder, the deceased’s wife Nisha Tripathi cited a land dispute to be the reason behind her husband’s murder. She said, Ajay Narayan Singh who lives in Narayanpur physically assaulted my husband, leading to his death.”

“My husband came to the house in the evening, took Rs 3,000 from me and said it was for a person making a map. He left the house after having some snacks. Later, he was dropped off on a rickshaw in an injured state,” she added. Dr Ghanshyam Tiwari was rushed to a hospital where he succumbed during the treatment.

Following the doctor’s death, former MLA Devmani Dwivedi and District President Dr R A Verma reached the hospital, demanding strict action against the accused.

How SP and Congress grabbed the opportunity to play petty politics

Since the accused was the cousin of an ex-BJP leader, the Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav and leaders of the Congress party grabbed the opportunity to berate the BJP-led state government in Uttar Pradesh. They accused the state government of not taking action in the case since the accused belonged to the family of a former BJP leader.

However, the Yogi Government has silenced the opposition by proving yet again that the law and order in Uttar Pradesh under his reign does not distinguish between offenders.

Opposition politicians accuse PM Modi of donating ₹21 only in an envelope at Bhilwara Temple in Rajasthan, visuals expose the lie

A video in which a temple priest claims that Prime Minister Narendra Modi donated merely Rs 21 in a white envelope in the temple’s donation box, has been going viral on social media in the past few days. Soon after, several I.N.D.I. Alliance leaders and their supporters started mocking PM Modi for donating a small amount in the “daan peti”.

The viral video is from January this year when Prime Minister Modi visited the Devnarayan Temple in Rajasthan’s Bhilwara to pay his respects at the temple while the celebration of Lord Devnarayan’s 1111th birth anniversary was ongoing. According to the temple’s priest Hemraj Poswal, as seen in the viral video, “When the donation box was opened, Rs 21 came out of the envelope.” The priest claimed that three envelopes were found in the donation box nine months after it was opened. He added that Modi had dropped a white envelope in the box and in the same envelope, just Rs 21 have been found. The others contained Rs 101 and Rs 2100 as claimed by the temple priest.

The said video was then used by the political opponents of PM Modi to target him saying that PM Modi “deceived” the Gurjar community as the temple holds special significance for the Gurjars.

Congress leader Dheeraj Gurjar claimed that PM Modi “deceived” the Gurjar community as he offered merely Rs 21 in the donation box saying that ” It is not a good thing for the Prime Minister of the country to deceive any society by showing them a dream.”

Samajwadi Party leader I.P. Singh claimed that while PM Modi gave Rs 21 lakh crore to businessman Gautam Adani, he offered just Rs 21 to the Hindu deities. “Modi ji put Rs 21 lakh crore in Adani’s donation box but offered Rs 21 to the deities. Even the poorest Hindu does not put so much money in the charity box anymore,” the Samajwadi Party leader posted on X.

Another Congress leader Surendra Rajput claimed that while PM Modi gives Rs 21 to the temple, he gifts diamond worth lakhs of rupees to the wife of the American President. “Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi gives Rs 21 to the temple and gives a diamond worth lakhs of rupees to the wife of the President of America! After that he also gives sermon on Sanatan Dharma,” Rajput posted on X.

It is amusing to see the audacity of the Congress leader to even mention Sanatan Dharma when his party is in alliance with DMK, a party that openly calls for the eradication of Sanatan Dharma.

Amidst the online attack on PM Modi over Rs 21, another video has surfaced on social media wherein it is clearly seen that PM Modi did not put any envelope in the donation box as claimed by priest Hemraj Poswal, in fact, PM Modi had directly dropped some currency notes into it.

As seen in the video, Prime Minister Modi proceeded through the temple, performing rituals, praying, and eventually making a donation (without an envelope) as an expression of respect and reverence. While all this was happening, priest Hemraj Poswal was standing behind PM Modi at some distance.

The visuals make it clear that PM Modi didn’t use a white envelope to make the donation, as alleged by the priest. This raises questions about the veracity of the claims made by the priest. Moreover, the question arises if there is more to the picture than what meets the eyes ahead of the coming state assembly elections.

Ujjain rape case: While Hinduphobic cartoon by Times of India’s cartoonist blames cow-worshipping Hindus, here is how Pujari Rahul Sharma helped the girl

0

A day after the horrific case of rape of a 12-year-old girl came to the fore from Madhya Pradesh’s Ujjain city, the Times of India has targeted the Hindu religion through their cartoon on the crime.

In a cartoon sketch shared by Times of India, Chief Cartoonist Sandeep Adhwaryu showed Hindus worshipping a cow while the girl walked with injuries seeking help from the locals in Ujjain. The cartoon sketch also indicates that Hindus chose to worship the cow and deliberately ignored the girl while she sought help.

However, the cartoon missed a major detail, that the girl was helped by a Hindu priest identified as Rahul Sharma. As reported earlier, the victim girl was scared and walking on the streets of Ujjain seeking help. She had injuries on her private parts and was bleeding.

She walked for around 8 km in the city seeking help but to no avail. Finally, when she reached near Dandi Ashram on the Badnagar road in the city, where Rahul Sharma offered her clothes and called for emergency medical service. He informed the police, who recovered the girl and took her to the hospital.

Rahul Sharma told NDTV, “I gave her my clothes. She was bleeding. She could not speak. Her eyes were swollen. I called 100. When I could not reach the cops over the helpline, I contacted the Mahakal police station and informed them about the situation. Police reached the ashram in about 20 minutes.”

Sharma said that at around 9:30 AM on Monday, while he was leaving the ashram, he saw the girl near the gates, who was partially naked and clearly injured with blood running down both of her legs. Several other media reports also highlighted that the girl was saved by a Hindu priest associated with the Dandi Ashram.

Sharma added that although the girl was terrified of everyone, she was able to trust him to some extent. “Whenever someone else approached her, she tried to hide behind me. Then police came and took her with them,” he said.

The Times of India cartoon, however, instead of recognising and lauding the Hindu priest for rescuing the girl, targeted Hinduism by showing Hindus worshiping a cow and ignoring the girl while she sought help.

After the cartoon triggered outrage on social media, Sandeep Adhwaryu issued a ‘clarification’, saying that it was his personal cartoon and had nothing to do with Times of India, even though the cartoon clearly carried the heading: TOI- Line of no control. He claimed, “The presence of TOI logo in my previous post was inadvertent as I had forgotten to remove it from the standard format of the frame before posting.”

Three persons have been arrested by the Police in the rape case, including an auto-rickshaw driver. According to Narottam Mishra, the home minister for Madhya Pradesh, a suspect has been detained and a special investigation team (SIT) has been established to look into the situation. The accused has been charged with rape in accordance with the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

The girl belongs to Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, and says that her mother has also been raped and assaulted. The Police have filed a case and are investigating as to why the girl and her mother had come to Ujjain and why were they being followed

Blinken did not even mention Canada’s baseless allegations during discussion with Dr Jaishankar: US State Dept says issue didn’t come up

0

On Wednesday, September 27, 2023, the U.S. State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller said that the recent meeting between India’s External Affairs Minister, S. Jaishankar, and US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, which took place last week, did not address the diplomatic dispute between India and Canada concerning the killing of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar.

S Jaishankar and Antony Blinken convened in New York during the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) session on Friday, September 22. Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong and Japanese Foreign Minister Yoko Kamikawa were also present at the Quad meeting.

When questioned about the discussions between Jaishankar and Blinken, Miller said, “That was not a bilateral meeting. It was a meeting of a number of countries. The issue (India-Canada tensions) did not come up.” Reaffirming the US stance on Canada’s claims, Miller urged India to provide complete cooperation in the Canadian investigation.

He said, “We have engaged with our Indian counterparts on this and encouraged them to cooperate with the Canadian investigation and we continue to encourage them to cooperate.”

On Tuesday, S. Jaishankar emphasised the “very compelling need” for India and the United States to collaborate, underlining the value of Washington having allies who hold a positive view of America and express their support for it.

Earlier this week, Miller underscored the significance of conducting a comprehensive investigation into the allegations made by Canada. He said, “We are deeply concerned by the allegations referenced by (Canadian) Prime Minister (Justin) Trudeau. We remain in close contact with our Canadian partners.”

The diplomatic situation between India and Canada

On 19th September, Canada’s PM Trudeau accused India of killing Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar on Canadian soil. Canada expelled a senior Indian diplomat as a result of the allegations. The allegations against India opened a can of worms as the allied countries of Canada refused to issue a joint statement against India. Furthermore, India denied the allegations and expelled a Canadian diplomat in retaliation.

India has also stopped issuing visas to Canadian citizens following the allegations and trade talks between India and Canada have halted after the allegations. It has been recently revealed by the Indian authorities that India has shared credible evidence with Canada about wanted criminals and terrorists living on its soil. India has repeatedly raised the issue of increasing Khalistani activities in Canada that were completely ignored. Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun was seen in Canada giving speeches at the so-called referendum for Khalistan while Trudeau was attending G20 Summit in India.

Extremely irresponsible: Indian diaspora in Canada slams Justine Trudeau over Nijjar killing comments, says the controversy was easily avoidable

0

Indian diaspora in Canada have termed as “extremely irresponsible” the allegations against India made by Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on the killing of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar stating that the former could have reworded or rephrased his statement to ensure that the Hindu and Sikh communities are not impacted.

“The announcement made by Prime Minister Trudeau in the parliament was something that could have been easily avoided and he could have easily followed diplomatic channels,” Indo-Canadian businessman from Brampton Ravi Sharma said.

He was responding to Trudeau’s allegations on the Indian government’s involvement in the fatal shooting of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar on Canadian soil.

“The moment the announcement was made, the Hindu community in Canada was on alert and it did create an immediate impact that people felt they were in distress and they were fearful because the pitch that was made in the parliament sounded as if a Hindu government had killed a Sikh leader. Which is not the fact. The fact was very different. And Hindus and Sikhs have always lived in peace and harmony in Canada and the statement made by Prime Minister Trudeau was extremely irresponsible,” Canadian businessman from Brampton said.

Sharma said Trudeau could have “simply reworded it, rephrased it in order to make sure that the communities are not impacted. And this is what I have been hearing from my fellow Hindu and Sikh members and the people that I know. And I hope the communities will work towards strengthening their bonds and this statement will have no impact as far as our community relations go and we will continue to make Canada strong and our brotherhood strong as well.”

Last Thursday, Trudeau said his country stands by the international rules-based order and repeated his charge on India’s role in the killing of Khalistani leader Hardeep Singh Nijjar stating that there are “credible reasons” to believe the same.

Addressing a press conference at Canada’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York, Trudeau said, “As I said on Monday, there are credible reasons to believe that agents of the Goverment of India were involved in the killing of a Canadian on Canadian soil. That is …there is something of utmost foundational importance in a country’s rule of law in a world where international rules-based order matters…we have rigorous and independent judges and robust processes…”

The Indo-Canadian businessman, Ravi, said the Canadian government needs to either put out a great proof to prove that the Indian government was involved or there has to be a mechanism that has to work out with a complete, thorough and impartial investigation into the matter and put the complete results out in public so that the public opinion can be rectified or the public opinion can be changed to know exactly what happened and how did this killing transpire.

Indo-Canadian Geeta Bhadauria has meanwhile said: “I think what the Canadian, the Indian government should do is they should not speak through the media, but they should speak through official spokespersons about what they’re doing to resolve this issue.”

She said all this information should be laid out in public because when things happen behind closed doors, “I think that’s when people become suspicious and they lose their trust in their elected leaders.”

Canada recently said it wants to “work constructively with India” regarding the alleged involvement of New Delhi in the killing of Nijjar.

Bhadauria said: “So, I think the first thing is the Canadian and the Indian government, they need to start having some more dialogue and they need to start addressing the issues that have been raised and they need to understand what is the truth, not their individual truths, but what’s the actual truth.”

She said: “We need to find out what exactly happened and make sure that the (Royal Canadian Mounted Police) RCMP can get to the bottom of this. And I think the number one thing that the Canadian and the Indian government need to do, that they need to do is to make sure that they don’t contaminate and corrupt the RCMP’s investigative process.”

On Trudeau’s allegations against India, she said, the announcement was full of prevarications. “It was a lot of possible links, active investigation, and there were no actual solid leads or actual real information that the Canadian public could cling to and understand what’s going on,” she said.

“The Canadian people want to know. We want to know that we’re safe in Canada from foreign governments, from foreigners, and even from terrorist acts within our own country,” Bhadauria added.

Meanwhile, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar has assured the Canadian side to take action if they provide specific information in connection with Nijjar’s killing, adding “We are open to looking at it.”

Speaking at a discussion at the Council on Foreign Relations in New York, Jaishankar said, “We told the Canadians that this is not the government of India’s policy. Secondly, we said if you have something specific and if you have something relevant, let us know. We are open to looking at it…The picture is not complete without the context in a way”.

Notably, Canada has yet to provide any public evidence to support the claim about the killing of Hardeep Singh Nijjar.

Jaishankar further said that there has been a lot of “organised crime” in Canada in the last few years, and the Indian government has given a lot of information to Canada regarding this.

USA: Over 60,000 official emails of State Dept stolen by Chinese hackers, major Microsoft breach hounds Biden govt

0

Hackers associated with the Chinese government gained access to about 60,000 emails from the unclassified inboxes of State Department workers as part of a major hack earlier this summer, according to a readout from a Senate staff briefing on 27 September. The hackers managed to access the emails after they breached Microsoft’s email platform earlier this year.

The newly revealed information on the previously known hacking episode which also affected Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo is reportedly going to increase congressional concerns about Chinese hacking activities which have intensified this year.

In accordance with a Senate staffer who works for Republican Senator Eric Stephen Schmitt from Missouri, top officials from the State Department revealed the new details of the hack during a Capitol Hill briefing for employees. The person was present for a briefing by State Department IT officials which informed lawmakers that 60,000 emails were taken from 10 State Department accounts.

The details which were provided through email mentioned that nine of the victims were working on East Asia and the Pacific while one was concentrated on Europe. Approximately 25 organisations, including the U.S. Commerce and State Departments, had their email accounts compromised since May, per information released in July by U.S. officials and Microsoft. The scope of the compromise continues to be unknown.

The United States’ accusations that China was responsible for the breach have deteriorated relations between the two nations which were already fragile. However, Beijing has refuted the allegations.

The State Department staff whose accounts were attacked largely worked on Indo-Pacific diplomatic initiatives. The hackers also got their hands on a list of all the department’s correspondence, based on the revelation in the briefing.

The massive intrusion has brought Microsoft’s disproportionate contribution to the U.S. government’s IT services back into the spotlight. According to the officials at the briefing, the State Department has started transitioning to “hybrid” settings with numerous vendor businesses and boosted acceptance of multi-factor authentication as part of attempts to defend its systems.

The State Department’s email accounts had been obtained by the hackers when they took control of a Microsoft engineer’s device. Microsoft stated earlier this month that the penetration of a Microsoft engineer’s corporate account was the cause of a hack of senior officials in the U.S. State and Commerce Departments.

There were no instantaneous comments from a Microsoft spokesperson regarding the Senate briefing. The business which has been under fire for its security procedures since the breaches asserted that the hacking gang responsible for them known as Storm-0558 had gained possession of webmail accounts that were using the company’s Outlook service.

The Chinese government was criticised by Gina Raimondo and other officials for the hack of her account during a recent trip to China, however, the State Department has not officially blamed the country for the occurrence.

The nature of the content of the emails is yet unclear. Officials from the United States attached a little importance to the instance and contended that no critical data was exposed and the online assault did not impact classified email accounts. The violations happened just before Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken’s trip to China.

He was the first in a line of cabinet members who travelled as part of the Joe Biden administration’s initiatives to mend strained diplomatic ties between Washington and Beijing while also placing limitations on American involvement in specific Chinese industries.

The US government officials told Senate staff members that the hackers broke into the State Department email accounts utilising one stolen Microsoft certificate and that token was likewise employed to infiltrate 25 organisations and government agencies.

Eric Schmitt highlighted that the government’s reliance on independent vendors to support systems, in this case Microsoft, had led to unacceptable weaknesses in the system. He pressed the Defence Department to examine its own reliance on technologies from the same single vendor.

He proclaimed, “We need to harden our defences against these types of cyberattacks and intrusions. We need to take a hard look at the federal government’s reliance on a single vendor as a potential weak point,” in a statement as reported by the staffer. He vowed to press government representatives “for more answers to ensure China and other nefarious actors do not gain access to the federal government’s most sensitive information.”

Ahmedabad: Manager Mohsin booked for brutally assaulting woman outside his spa, FIR filed as Sindhubhavan Road video goes viral

0

In a violent incident that occurred on September 25, 2023, in Ahmedabad city, a spa manager made headlines for assaulting a woman in public, grabbing her by the hair, and brutally slapping and kicking her. The shocking video of this incident quickly went viral on various social media platforms, prompting the Bodakdev police station to register an FIR.

The spa operator, identified as Mohsin, has been accused of attacking the woman over a minor dispute. This incident sparked widespread discussion and outrage after CCTV footage of it went viral on social media. The victim said that she is a resident of North-East India. She is living in Ahmedabad for work.

This incident unfolded at the Galaxy Spa, situated within the Times Square building on Sindhubhavan Road in Ahmedabad city. The perpetrator, identified as Mohsin, who runs Galaxy Spa, and his aggressive actions were captured on CCTV cameras. In the viral footage, Mohsin can be observed violently pulling a woman’s hair in a public setting, followed by beating her.

the Ahmedabad Police initiated suo-motu action and launched an investigation into the matter. Subsequent to counseling sessions, the woman decided to file an official complaint against Mohsin at the Bodakdev police station. Initially, she had been reluctant to do so, but she eventually agreed to write the complaint after receiving proper counselling and support, as per reports. Based on the contents of her complaint, the Bodakdev police have registered an FIR against the spa operator Mohsin under sections 354(A), 294(b), and 323 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

Upon reaching out to the victim for her statement, the young woman recounted the events. She revealed that she and Mohsin had jointly established a women’s salon. A dispute arose when, in a fit of anger, she made a comment to a young woman working at the salon due to business losses. Subsequently, Mohsin confronted her over the issue and an argument followed. Angry Mohsin then assaulted the woman.

The victim mentioned that initially, she had contemplated dialing 100 to report the incident to the police. However, Mohsin offered an apology, dissuading her from making the call at that moment. It was only after the video gained widespread attention and the police reached out to her directly that she found the courage to come forward and file a formal complaint.

Additionally, the victim, hailing from the North-East, expressed deep appreciation for the support she received from both the police and the media. Their assistance and solidarity gave her the strength to confront this situation, making her feel that she was not alone in her ordeal. She conveyed her heartfelt gratitude to both the media and the police for their support.

In the video, the accused Mohsin can be seen kicking a woman. In her attempt to defend herself, the woman pushes Mohsin away after being kicked. Despite her resistance, he slaps the woman. As she begins to walk away, he follows closely behind her, displaying aggressive intentions. he is then seen hitting the woman once more. Subsequently, he seizes the woman’s hair, forcefully pulling on it. Witnessing this distressing incident, another man intervenes in an attempt to restrain Mohsin. In response, Mohsin also slaps this man, prompting him to back off. Mohsin then continues his assault on the woman, subjecting her to further physical harm.

After 14 years of marriage, Kolkata-based businessman Tabish Ehsan discovers his wife is a Bangladeshi national

0

A Kolkata-based businessman, Tabish Ehsan, has moved to take legal action against his wife after knowing her original nationality. After 14 years of marriage, Tabish has filed a police complaint against his wife realising that she is, in fact, a Bangladeshi national.

Tabish Ehsan, 37, a citizen of Asansol in Bengal, married Nazia Ambreen Quraishi in 2009. Nazia introduced herself as an Uttar Pradesh native. Both families approved of their marriage, and everything went smoothly until 2022.

“I met Nazia at a marriage ceremony for the first time and we got married after our relatives agreed. It was an arranged marriage. Before getting married, she claimed that she was born and brought up in Uttar Pradesh. There wasn’t any doubt about her citizenship initially”, Tabish was quoted as saying by India Today.

The birth of their second kid, according to Tabish Ehsan, marked the end of their marriage because she allegedly relocated abruptly to her mother’s house before giving birth and cut off all contact with him.

Ehsan claims to have gotten threats from Nazia’s family after learning via his in-laws that she wouldn’t be coming back to him. Later, the family of Nazia filed a case under Section 498A against Tabish Ehsan, but the Alipore court in Kolkata granted him bail.

During this time, Tabish learned the real nationality of his wife. One of Tabish’s relatives informed him that Nazia is actually a citizen of Bangladesh. “During that time, I came to know from one of the relatives that Nazia is actually a Bangladeshi national. Shockingly, she did the same thing with another man in Bangladesh. Nazia had married a school teacher in Bangladesh, coerced him into a divorce, and subjected him to false accusations,” Tabish said.

“After that, they moved to India illegally without any visa, and I was used by them to get an Indian identity. My marriage was just a part of their conspiracy,” he added.

The Tiljala police station in Kolkata has now received a complaint from Tabish Ehsan against his wife Nazia Qureshi and her relatives. His court complaint led the police to file a FIR under Sections 120B, 465, 467, 471, 363 of the IPC, Section 14A(b) of the Foreigner Act, and Sections 17 of the Passport Act.

Tabish meanwhile has also complained about the police’s inaction despite providing the authorities with evidence. He also added that the woman traveled to Canada for studies in 2007 though she was approved for an Indian passport for the first time in 2020.

“I came to know that she traveled to Canada for studies between 2007 and 2009. But she was approved for an Indian passport for the first time in 2020. How did she travel to Canada without a passport? How did Canada approve her visa?” he questioned.

Tabish has written numerous letters to several government departments, including the Regional Passport Office in Kolkata, the State Government of West Bengal, the Intelligence Bureau, the Viagency Commission, the Ministry of External Affairs, and the Ministry of Home Affairs seeking action.

“We raised subsequent RTIs, and we were informed that the named miscreant Nazia Ambreen Quraishi had forged documents and educational certificates in order to get an Indian Passport,” Tabish’s advocate said.
