Rajasthan: Dalit woman dies after raped and set on fire, police file FIR only after locals protest, accused Shakur Khan arrested

A Dalit woman who was allegedly raped, attacked with acid and then set on fire by a man named Shakur Khan in Rajasthan’s Barmer district succumbed to her injuries on Friday, April 7. She was undergoing treatment at a hospital in Jodhpur where she was admitted in critical condition on Thursday. The police said that the woman suffered 50 per cent burns and her face was disfigured.

The incident occurred late in the evening on Thursday, April 6 in the Pachpadra police station area of Rajasthan’s Barmer. The accused who had fled after committing the heinous crime and had been absconding ever since was apprehended by the police on Friday.

Barmer additional superintendent of police (ASP) Nitesh Arya confirmed the development.

The police informed that Section 302 (punishment for murder) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) has also been added to the first information report (FIR) which was filed under several sections of the IPC and the SC and ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act. The body of the deceased would be handed over to her family members after the autopsy.

The police took action based on a complaint lodged by the deceased’s husband on Thursday. In the complaint, the victim’s husband alleged that his wife was alone at home on Thursday as he had gone out for work and their children were in school. The accused, identified as Shakur Khan, made use of the opportunity to break into the house and raped her. Hearing his wife’s cries, their neighbour rushed to help her, but the accused, while shoving the neighbours away, poured some acid-like liquid on his wife, set her on fire, and fled the scene.

Relatives of the victim allege Rajasthan police delayed filing the FIR in the case

The woman’s relatives alleged that they approached the police at 1.30 am, but the officers first declined to file an FIR. Members of the Dalit community gathered outside the police station to protest the police’s failure to intervene in the matter. The police ultimately filed the FIR around 3.30 am. on Friday; until then, the case had become critical.

Members of the Dalit community demonstrated outside the police station after relatives of the woman claimed that the police hesitated to register the case initially.

The woman was first admitted to a government hospital in Balotra and was later referred to a higher medical institution in Jodhpur, where she succumbed to her injuries during treatment. Police said that the victim’s statement could not be recorded as she was not in a condition to talk before she died.

The police nabbed accused Shakur Khan late on Friday evening.

Police have registered a case under IPC sections 302 (punishment for murder) 376 (punishment for rape ), 326 (voluntarily causing grievous hurt by dangerous weapons or means), 450 (house trespass in order to commit an offence punishable with imprisonment for life) and relevant sections of the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act against the accused.

Hyderabad police detains Congress leaders ahead of PM Modi’s visit to Telangana

Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the state of Telangana later today, Hyderabad police apprehended a number of Telangana Congress leaders on Saturday including Balamuri Venkat, the president of the National Students Union of India (NSUI), Shivsena Reddy, Pritam, the head of the Dalit Congress, and others.

This is probably after the NSUI and Youth Congress demanded PM Modi to speak about Bandi Sanjay’s jail in connection with the 10th class paper leak issue and threatened to obstruct the PM’s visit at all costs.

Prior to PM Modi’s arrival, a traffic advice has been issued regarding limitations on vehicular movement. In addition to five National Highway projects, PM Modi is slated to formally lay the foundation for AIIMS Bibinagar. Additionally, he will lay the foundations for the renovation of Secunderabad Railway Station and dedicate other railway-related development projects to the country.

Passengers travelling as pilgrims would benefit most from the new Vande Bharat train’s nearly three and a half hour time reduction between the two cities. After his visit to Hyderabad that day, PM Modi is slated to depart for Tamil Nadu.

West Bengal: BJP and TMC trade charges over ‘atonement’ of Tribal women by performing Dandavat Parikrama for leaving TMC to join BJP

On Friday (April 7) night, BJP (West Bengal) President Dr Sukanta Majumadar alleged that the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) party forced four tribal women to do ‘Dandavat Parikrama’ for daring to join the saffron party.

He tweeted, “Martina Kisku, Shiuli Mardi, Thakran Soren and Malati Murmu, resident of Tapan Gofanagar, Tapan, joined BJP yesterday. They belong to ST community. Today, TMC goons forced them to return to TMC and punished them by asking to do Dandavat Parikrama.” Another woman

“TMC has time and again insulted tribal people. This takes it even higher. This is highly condemnable. We firmly stand with our karyakartas and will do everything to protect them,” he further added.

The tweet of Dr Sukanta Majumadar was accompanied by a 27-second video of three women stretching on the road as if they were emulating the ‘Dandavat Parikrama.’

As per a report by TV9 Bangla, the incident occurred on Friday (April 7) in Balurghat in the Uttar Dinajpur district of West Bengal. About 200 people had defected to the BJP from the Trinamool Congress on the previous day.

BJP leader Swarup Chowdhury accused the TMC leadership of successfully coercing 3-4 of the 200 party workers into joining the TMC again. “The way TMC leaders forced the women to rub their noses on the road for them to be accepted back into the party is highly shameful and insulting,” he said.

Chowdhury also vowed to approach the State Women’s Commission about the incident. This has led to a war of words between the BJP and the Trinamool Congress. TMC leader Pradipta Chakraborty claimed that the women realised their mistake within 24 hours of joining the BJP, and therefore they returned to TMC the next day and performed the atonement by crawling on the ground and rubbing their noses on the ground. She said that the party will meet the others who joined BJP to convince them to rejoin TMC.

Pradipta Chakraborty also said that the people who joined the BJP on April 6 were not members of any political party but they were supporters of TMC, and BJP misled them into joining the party. “Some women, who were not affiliated with any political party but supported the Trinamool Congress were misled into joining the BJP. They later realised their mistake and performed ‘Dandavat Parikrama’ to repent for it,” she claimed.

Tribal woman claims she willingly performed Dandavat Parikrama

Meanwhile, one of the women, who was seen rubbing her nose on the road in the viral video, claimed that she acted out of her own accord. Martina Kisku told TV9 Bangla that she could not sleep all night after deserting the Trinamool Congress.

“After we joined BJP, we thought about our decision all night? We thought what did we do? It then dawned to us that West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee has provided us with several schemes such as Kanyashree, and Lakshmi Bhandar. We will not leave her and hence came back,” Hindustan Times Bangla quoted her as saying.

However, political circles in the district say that this was a ‘punishment’ by the TMC for the women for deserting the party and joining BJP.

Madhya Pradesh: Missionary run school stores human embryo in bio lab, Child Protection Commission orders FIR

Authorities in Madhya Pradesh’s Sagar district have suggested filing a police report (FIR) against a Christian missionary school there for holding a suspicious human embryo and indulging in “irregularities” with the Right to Information Act’s 2009 implementation at the school.

According to the reports, the proposal came after a two-person team from the State Child Protection Commission conducted an inspection at the Bina Kshetra Missionary-run Nirmal Jyoti Higher Secondary Convent School in MP’s Sagar district on Thursday. A review was conducted after a  student’s father complained to the Commission stating that his child was expelled by the school for not paying the fees.

During the inspection, the two members of the Commission, Onkar Singh and Dr. Nivedita Sharma discovered a human embryo in the biology lab of the school. The Principal and the school authorities had no satisfactory answers when asked about it. The police was immediately informed by the members and the embryo has been sent for further investigation.

Dissatisfied with the reply of the principal, the members of the commission checked the documents of the school, as well as inspected the school. There is a guest room on the school’s property that shouldn’t be there, according to Dr. Nivedita Sharma. The commission’s members and officials were not permitted to enter the guest room. In addition, there is no police verification of all staff members. The school land has been diverted for other purposes, which is against the law.

It is important to note that the RTE Act of 2009 mandates private schools to provide free and compulsory education to certain percentage of students. According to reports, during the document examination, discrepancies in the school’s revenue and expenses were also discovered.

“Documents related to school’s recognition, income-expenditure account, fee structure and staff qualification were inspected. Irregularities have also been found with regard to the admission of economically underprivileged students under RTE Act at the school. The school management claims to have given a fee waiver worth Rs 16 lakh to 178 students under the RTE Act. However, upon tallying the claims with the documents, a lone application of the purported student beneficiary surfaced,” the commission noted.

The commission further observed that pressure is being put on people over the matter of school fees. Parents and students are under mental strain as a result of this. The school laboratory houses old, decomposing specimens of creatures and have not received enough chemical protection. The cops have been ordered to look into this and file a report.

Israel: Car rammed into tourists in Tel Aviv in suspected terror attack, one dead and seven injured

In an attack in the Israeli beachfront city of Tel Aviv, an Italian man was killed and seven other British and Italian tourists were severely injured. According to the reports, this current incident involving violence comes after several days of escalating tensions raised concerns of a wider conflagration in the region.

On Friday night, Israel’s rescue agency said that the 30-year-old Italian had died from a gunshot wound. Israeli police said that the driver of the car, Yousef Abu Jaber, who struck persons near the beach had been shot and killed at the same moment.

It became unclear right away if there had been a single occurrence or two distinct ones. The deceased tourist has been identified as Italian citizen Alessandro Parini. Meanwhile, seven other individuals have also been reported injured.

The Israeli media reports stated that the Italian tourist was killed in a suspected terror attack. Apparently attempting to get a hold of a weapon to start shooting on Kaufmann Street, a suspected terrorist rammed a car into it, causing a bloody path that stretched for several hundred metres and into the nearby Charles Clore Park, a well-liked coastal promenade.

Giorgia Meloni, the Prime Minister of Italy, declared her solidarity with Israel in the wake of the “cowardly attack” in Tel Aviv that left seven other people injured, including other tourists. In regards to the wounded victims, some of whom are also citizens of Italy, Meloni stated her administration was in communication with Israeli officials.

“Deep sorrow and condolences for the death of one of our nationals, Alessandro Parini, in the terrorist attack that took place in the evening in Tel Aviv. Condolences to the victim’s family, to the wounded, and solidarity with the State of Israel for the cowardly attack that hit him,” she said on Twitter.

Antonio Tajani, the foreign affairs minister for Italy and the country’s deputy prime minister, also denounced the Tel Aviv attack and stated that his ministry was coordinating with Israeli authorities on the incident.

Principal Deputy Spokesperson Vedant Patel of the US State Department meanwhile stated that the US “stands with the government and people of Israel” in a statement condemning the Tel Aviv attack.

This attack was the second fatal event of the day. In the West Bank on Friday morning, a gunshot left two sisters dead and their mother struggling for her life. The increase in violence coincides with rising tensions following Israeli police raids into the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound to put an end to unrest; on Thursday, rocket fire from Gaza and Lebanon by Hamas terrorists was reported to have hit Israel.

The 45-year-old Yousef Abu Jaber, a native of Kafr Qassem, has been identified as the terrorist in the Tel Aviv incident. Reports mention that he has no past record of security violations. Following the incident, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu sent orders to the military and police to activate all reserve Border Police companies, according to a brief statement released by his office.

The incident was not immediately attributed to anyone. The attacker’s car was shown on surveillance camera footage rushing towards pedestrians near the park before flipping over. Another video from the incident showed the wrecked car in the park and cops firing at a guy who exited the car.

Amichai Eshed, the head of the Tel Aviv police, said the alleged assailant drove clearly onto a bicycle lane and struck many persons in the pedestrian area. A police officer at a nearby petrol station heard the car overturning and hurried to the scene with local inspectors. They shot the assailant dead after spotting him attempting to “reach a rifle-like object that was with him.” Jaber may have had a gun and was preparing to shoot, according to the police.

“The policeman approached the car together with Tel Aviv municipality inspectors, and saw that the driver was trying to reach for a weapon he had in his possession,” police said.

Tensions have risen throughout the area after Israeli attacks and tit-for-tat rocket fire from the Gaza Strip, a significant rocket bombardment from Lebanon, riots at the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem’s Temple Mount, and an alleged Iranian drone fired from Syria earlier in the week.

In the West Bank, there have been several incidents that have left several troops injured, including three soldiers who were hit by a car on Saturday and two more who were shot on Wednesday and Thursday. Additionally this past week, a terror stabbing occurred close to the Tzrifin military installation in central Israel, injuring two troops, one critically.

It is well known that there are often severe confrontations between Israeli soldiers and Palestinians during the Islamic holy month of Ramzan, which this year falls on the same day as the Jewish festival of Passover. Throughout the month, tens of thousands of worshippers flock to the Al-Aqsa Mosque, the third holiest mosque in Islam and the location of the most sacred Jewish complex, which frequently causes tensions and conflict with Israel.

On Friday, a few crossings were opened to allow worshippers to enter Al-Aqsa Mosque for collective prayers. During festivals and holidays, such closures are customary. According to the military, they serve as a deterrent to attackers during tense times.

Uttar Pradesh: 16-year-old held for sending assassination threats to PM Modi and UP CM Yogi Adityanath

On Friday, the Noida Police arrested a 16-year-old student from Lucknow for reportedly sending an email to a media outlet that threatened to assassinate Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Assistant Commissioner of Police (Noida) Rajneesh Verma informed that the teenager is a resident of Bihar and was apprehended from the Chinhat area of Lucknow on Friday morning and was brought to Noida. Later, he was brought before a Noida juvenile court and was given bail.

The police official stated, “On the basis of the investigation, the email sender was traced and found in Lucknow’s Chinhat area. The sender turned out to be a schoolboy, who has just completed his Class 11 and will be beginning Class 12 in this session.”

The case was probed after an FIR was filed on April 5 at the Sector 20 police station in Noida, and technical teams were also called in to identify the origin of the hostile email.

Earlier in the day, a private television news organisation notified the Noida Police that it had received an email from an unknown sender threatening to kill UP CM and PM Modi.

“This is to bring to your kind attention the email received by our CFO on April 3 at around 10:23 pm from one Mr Kartik Singh with an email id ‘[email protected].’ As can be seen from this email, the sender has threatened to assassinate the honourable chief minister of Uttar Pradesh and also the honourable prime minister,” the channel mentioned in the complaint.

The Indian Penal Code sections 153A (1b) (act prejudicial to maintenance of harmony, or likely to disturb public tranquillity), 505 (1b) (act likely to cause, fear or alarm to the public, or to any section of the public whereby any person may be induced to commit an offence against the state or against the public tranquillity), 506 (criminal intimidation), and 507 (criminal intimidation by an anonymous communication) were cited in the FIR, according to police.

The police had also invoked provisions of the Information Technology Act in the case.

Drunk passenger tries to open the emergency door of the Delhi-Bengaluru IndiGo flight, booked

On Friday, April 7, a 40-year-old passenger allegedly tried to open the emergency door flap of the Delhi-Bengaluru IndiGo flight at 7:56 AM. The passenger was reportedly heavily drunk at the time of the incident.

According to an official statement by the airlines, A passenger traveling on flight 6E 308 from Delhi to Bangalore tried to open the emergency exit flap in an inebriated state. The crew on board informed the captain upon noticing this violation, and the passenger was appropriately cautioned.

According to DCP, North East, Anoop Shetty, the accused passenger has been booked under 290 (causing a public nuisance) and 336 (endangering life or personal safety of others), and section 11A of the Aircraft Act. The case against the accused passenger was registered on the basis of the complaint lodged by a co-passenger, the police said adding that an investigation is on and he will be summoned for further questioning.

Director of LIIT marketing agency posts Hinduphobic tweets, later claims her account was hacked after netizens call her out

Vihangi Joshipura, the Director of LIIT Marketing Agency, has recently courted controversy after her old, Hinduphobic tweets went viral on social media.

In February this year, Vihangi tweeted an objectionable image, which equated the sacred Hindu mantra of ‘Aum’ with a vagina and penis. “The scientific meaning of Aum as per the Hindu religious text,” the text on the image read.

It was also accompanied by a visual depiction of male and female private parts. “Now what,” Joshipura had said in the derogatory tweet.

On Tuesday (April 4), she stirred the hornet’s nest again by claiming that Lord Ram ‘lived like bhikari’ while demon king Ravan was supposedly ‘rich as f*ck.’ The archive of the tweet can be accessed here.

It must be mentioned that the disturbing Hinduphobic tweets were posted by Vihangi Joshipura from her alternate Twitter handle ‘Doja Rat (@rat_soja).’

Who is Vihangi Joshipura

In a tweet (archive) posted in January this year, she introduced herself as the owner of LIIT Marketing Agency. “I’ll share tips, tricks, hacks and lessons I’ve learned on my journey getting here,” she had tweeted from her account ‘Vihangi Joshipura (@vihangimj)’

As per the ‘about’ section (archive) of LIIT’s website, Vihangi Joshipura is listed as the Director of the Marketing agency.

“I am a social media manager who can help your business reach its goals. My expertise includes creating and executing engaging social media content, increasing brand awareness, and driving more website traffic. Vihangi Josipura cries foul, netizens refuse to buy her ‘hack theory’

Following the controversy, Vihangi took to the micro-blogging platform to distance herself from the contentious tweets. In a tweet (archive) on Friday (April 7), Vihangi Joshipura identified herself as a ‘proud Hindu’ whose account was supposedly hacked without her knowledge.

“As a proud hindu, I am shocked and saddened to see hurtful content put up through my account. My old acc (doja_rat) was hacked and used to impersonate me without my knowledge for a while now. I strongly oppose the tweets. My religious sentiments have also been deeply hurt,” she claimed.

The Director of LIIT Marketing Agency then alleged that she received threats over tweets posted from her ‘hacked’ account. “Once again, I am shocked and saddened. Please ignore any messages from accounts impersonating me – this is my only account,” she added.

Social media users, however, dismissed her ‘hack theory’ and lambasted her for making excuses instead of being apologetic about her Hinduphobic behaviour. “This is a very old technique that has worn out lol – My Account was Hacked,” wrote one Preetam Rao.

One Raja Babu shared a scene from the movie ‘Baghban’ and mocked Joshipura for not being good at telling lies.

One Tushar Agarwal questioned her claims on a serious note. He inquired, “If your account was hacked, how did you manage to deactivate it?”

“Let’s suppose it was in fact hacked, why not immediately delete that tweet and apologise and take necessary steps to restore the login information. Reality : Woke banne chali ji, joke banke reh gayin (You wanted to be woke but ended up being a joke),” he further emphasised.

Delhi Commission for Protection of Child Rights moves Supreme Court backing legalisation of same-sex marriages

The Delhi Commission for the Protection of Child Rights (DCPCR) submitted an intervention application on April 3, Wednesday, requesting the legal recognition of same-sex marriage in India. On April 18, 2023, these pleas are scheduled to be heard by a Supreme Court Constitution bench.

The child rights body extended its support to the set of pleas already made before the top court by several same-sex couples seeking the legalisation of these marriages. The DCPCR application was submitted through Advocate Abhishek Manchanda.

In their application, the DCPCR stressed that adolescents who identify as homosexual may have negative psychological complexes, low self-esteem, and other mental health problems if they do not have the same legal protections as their heterosexual counterparts.

“Unless equal rights are accorded to homosexual (persons), their acceptance, assimilation and legitimacy will remain under troubled waters. This again is bound to have its bearing upon adolescents,” the application stated.

DCPCR said that “studies on same-sex marriages demonstrate that same-sex couples can be good parents or not, same as heterosexuals can be good parents or not.”

The application further outlines that many countries have legalised same-sex marriages and over 50 countries have provisions allowing same-sex couples to adopt children legally.

Furthermore, the application stressed that non-recognition of same-sex marriages can have adverse effects on the children of homosexual persons.

“The said person shall be the only de jure parent and guardian of his or her child. While the child may actually be under joint custody and maintenance of two persons consisting of a homosexual couple performing equal duties, only one of the persons would have de jure authority and rights. This could have psychological and emotional consequences not only for the affected de facto guardian but also for the child who may be left with a reduced choice in case of a rift or separation between his de facto guardians,” the application asserted.

Guidelines recommended by DCPCR

The application submitted by the Delhi child rights body also mentioned certain guidelines for the court to consider.

  • The Central and State governments should take measures to educate the public about the “normalcy” of same-sex families and that children from these families are not in any way “incomplete”.
  • School boards and educational institutions take proactive measures to normalise such topics, especially in classroom settings where same-sex family unit issues are brought up.
  • Education boards review school textbooks for homophobic material and eliminate it; they also revise or re-envisage passages, caricatures, diagrams, and references to family to incorporate a diversity of understandings.
  • Development of dedicated helplines, infrastructure, and resources for psychological support for children of same-sex couples who are subjected to discrimination, stigma or bullying.

Centre on legalisation of same-sex marriages

The Centre has opposed the demand for the recognition of same-sex marriage in the country. On March 12, in its affidavit in the apex court, the Centre opposed the plea seeking legal recognition of same-sex marriage, saying that living together as partners by same-sex individuals, which is decriminalised now, is not comparable with the Indian family unit and they are distinct classes which cannot be treated identically.

Furthermore, a group of former judges also wrote an open letter not to pursue the matter in court. They believe that legalising same-sex marriage would violate Indian culture and tradition. The statement says that vested interest groups are working towards the legalisation of same-sex marriage, and the Supreme Court is considering the matter. The issue has gained momentum recently after being referred to a constitutional bench. 21 retired judges signed the letter.

Twitter user who identifies himself as Pakistani army personnel threatens to nuke Greece for calling Pakistan beggar: Read what happened

While warfare may be prohibited in the Islamic holy month of Ramzan, Pakistanis will not let go of the opportunity to threaten another country to nuke them if someone calls them ‘beggars’.

It all started when Greek journalist Paul Antonopoulos tweeted about how Pakistan wants to buy submarine accessories from Greece even when the country is facing one of the worst economic crises.

People in Pakistan have lost their lives in stampedes and riots over flour subsidies during Ramzan and parts of the country are on the brink of running out of flour. Greece has actually rejected Pakistan’s request for batteries and other equipment for their submarines. Antonopoulos posted the link to the article and said how Pakistan would have such audacity to ask Greece for such help even though their pilots once allegedly violated Greek airspace.

As per reports, in November 2019, Greece lashed out at Pakistan for breaching its airspace, during the Dogu Akdeniz-19 joint international naval exercise. Greece had accused Pakistan of flying the P-3 Orion aircraft into Greek airspace, which the country said had been the first incident of its kind.

Antonopoulos ended his tweet with ‘beggars will be beggars…’ jibe at Pakistan.

To Antonopoulos’ tweet, a verified Twitter account that identifies itself as Faisal Naseer (supposedly some high-ranking Pakistani army personnel) threatened him and reminded him that Pakistan is a nuclear power with missiles ‘that can reach Greece’.

He claimed that the Pakistani Army is ready to defend the ‘honour’ of its nation.

To that, Antonopoulos reminded him that the most powerful Pakistani missiles can hardly reach Greece. To put things in perspective, if fired, the Shaheen 3 missile is likely to fall somewhere in Iran.

Pakistanis really do like to threaten other nations that they would shoot off their missiles at the slightest insult. In May 2021, as the Hamas and Islamic terrorists continued to attack Israel, Pakistanis were not only standing in solidarity with Palestine but also egging their then Prime Minister Imran Khan to show the world how Pakistan is a nuclear state. Many Pakistanis at that time had urged Khan to fire off the Shaheen missile in the general direction of Israel.

Not the one to be bogged down by facts, Faisal Naseer then doubled down and said how their F-16s can arrive at Antonopoulos’ doorsteps to ‘drop the nuclear payload’.

To this, many pointed out how threatening nuking countries over a beggar jibe may not be the wisest idea, especially with country barely managing to put food on the table.

In a strange flex, Faisal Naseer claimed the madarsa students with even ‘basic weapons’ can beat the NATO forces. He did not specify what the ‘basic weapons’ were there in the madarsas in Pakistan and whether or not they were legal or illegal. He added that the ‘most highly disciplined and professional army’ in the world can take on the NATO forces.

He then threatened the Greek journalist that his ‘derogatory’ tweets were reported to their foreign ministry and gave him time till midnight to delete them. He shared a gif of a nuclear bomb as an additional threat.

Minutes later he claimed that the Greek foreign ministry has ‘apologised’ for the tweet where the Greek journalist called Pakistanis beggars.

Moments later he claimed Pakistan has demanded that Antonopoulos be ‘extradited’ to Pakistan so he can ‘face sedition charges’ on Pakistani soil for calling Pakistanis beggars. He then put up the moral of the story that one should not ‘mess with nuclear Pakistan’.

In response, Antonopoulos is only retweeting the allegedly seasoned Pakistani army personnel’s tweets that are threatening to nuke Greece.

OpIndia cannot confirm whether the Twitter account Faisal Naseer is actually of Pakistani army personnel. It is a verified account on Twitter but with Elon Musk’s whims, it is hard to confirm if it is a legacy verified account or a Blue subscriber. Further, there is no evidence as yet whether such an army personnel exists. A cursory Google search (because we don’t have that much time to invest in beggars), one Faisal Naseer is indeed one Pakistani army personnel and has a change.org petition calling him a psychopath and demanding his removal. However, we cannot confirm if the same alleged psychopath was tweeting and threatening to nuke Greece. And while it is likely this is a troll account, with past Pakistani shenanigans, one can truly never know.
