‘Spices reducing male sex power’: TMC leader forces closure of Biryani serving outlets in Cooch Behar

0

The Bharatiya Janata Party accuses the West Bengal government, led by Mamata Banerjee, of acting arbitrarily on a regular basis. Everything there has degraded into anarchy, from law and order to all other systems. Meanwhile, Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Rabindra Nath Ghosh forced the closure of two local Biryani outlets in Cooch Behar, Bengal, stating that the spices in the dish reduced male vigour.

Rabindra Nath Ghosh, a former minister in the Mamata Banerjee government and current chairman of the Cooch Behar municipality, stated that some individuals have claimed that the ingredients and spices used to prepare Biryani lower male sexual desire.

Ghosh and his team arrived at the stores on Sunday evening and questioned the owners and staff about this affair. There, the outlets’ owners and employees engaged in a heated debate with Ghosh and his companions. Following that, Ghosh requested their trade permits, and when the owners could not present them, the municipality chairman ordered the stores to be shuttered.

“For the past several days there have been complaints from the people of the area that they don’t know which spices are being used to make Biryani that are deterrents to the sexual drive of a man,” TMC leader Ghosh stated.

The current head of the Cooch Behar municipal council further claimed that persons from Bihar and Uttar Pradesh were selling Biryani in the region and that the shops were operating without a licence.

“After all the complaints, we came here and found that the shops did not have a trade license. So the shops were closed,” he added.

The proprietors of the two stores sealed by Cooch Behar Municipal President Ghosh, according to reports, have not objected to the measure. At the same time, these shops have not provided any explanation for the allegations made regarding the people’s “male frailty.” However, there has been no formal confirmation that eating biryani or the spices that go with it causes any type of sexual weakness. Furthermore, the spices in the shops have not been tested in any forensic lab.

However, he returned to Khan Market on Tuesday with petrol in a bottle and set the Khan Market Police station on fire. He also thrashed the glass windows of the police station by pelting stones on the spot.

“A call was received at around 7.30 am on Tuesday at Tughlak road police station regarding the burning of a bike in front of a police post at Khan Market. From mocking his Gau Puja to spreading fake news about Rishi Sunak eating beef: How UK’s first Hindu PM was subjected to Hinduphobic attacks

On October 24, United Kingdom’s Member of Parliament (MP) Rishi Sunak became leader of the conservative party and Prime Minister-designate of the country. With his appointment for the chair, he became the first Indian-origin MP to become the UK’s PM. Since then, he is getting attacked for his Hindu roots, and attempts are being made to deny his self-professed religious identity and roots. One such example was when he did not get elected as PM in September this year, Sunak was mocked for doing Gau Puja.

‘Professor’ Ashok Swain, a fake news peddler who is known for his anti-India rhetoric and Hinduphobia, said, “Despite all these antics, Rishi Sunak was soundly defeated by Liz Truss, and she becomes the new UK PM. Important to be true to yourself – UK is not UP.” He also shared the video of Sunak worshipping a cow in the tweet.

So-called Human Rights Activist Advocate Priyadarshi Telang said, “One can become Chief Minister of UP by eating Gobar (cow dung) and Gau Mutra (cow urine) but cannot become Prime Minister of UK Rishi Sunak.” He also congratulated Liz Truss on her victory.

Twitter user Farhan Ashfaq said, “The United Kingdom is saved from becoming Uttar Pradesh.”

Furthermore, there are rumours that are spreading like wildfire on social media that Sunak eats beef (cow’s meat) which is against Hindu culture. Twitter user Sanghamitra said, “Sanghis oppose Ranbir Kapoor for eating beef while they support Rishi Sunak. Sanghis support Jews and they support Hitler too. This is what a sanghi’s life is!”

Ravi Nair, known for his anti-Hindu stand, said, “Bhakt Mandali and their media should ask Rishi Sunak whether he eats beef or not.”

Former NSUI leader and congress supporter Yashraj Singh Chouhan said, “Rishi Sunak: Born in the uk ??, Parents born in Africa, Never held an indian citizenship, beef eater Yet, Bhakts are proud to have an “Indian-origin” UK PM. Sonia Gandhi: Got married in India, Made ?? home for 55+ years. Holds an Indian passport. Yet, Bhakts call her foreign.”

Twitter user Raj Bhads Aviator added a screenshot of Sunak’s statement that he would support farmers raising livestock for beef, said, “A message for Sanghi monkeys. Beef is Yummy in Sunak land.”

However, in 2015 during an interview with the Indian newspaper Business Standard, Rishi Sunak clearly mentioned that he does not consume beef for religious reasons. In the interview, he also cleared the air about his ethnicity that he chose to ‘tick’ on the census. He said, “British Indian is what I tick on the census, we have a category for it. I am thoroughly British, this is my home and my country, but my religious and cultural heritage is Indian, and my wife is Indian. I am open about being a Hindu.” In just a couple of sentences, Sunak made it clear that he was a Hindu by religion and a British Indian by ethnicity.

The Ganesha Idol on Sunak’s desk

During an interview with politico, Sunak mentioned that he keeps a small Bhagwan Ganesha idol on his desk. He even left the idol on the desk for then-PM Borris Johnson when he was sick and using Sunak’s office. He said, “Lord Ganesh is still on my desk in No. 11 (Downing Street),” Sunak said. “My wife was insistent we left it there when the PM was sick. He used my office in No.11 because he lives above, and it was easy for him to have this walled-off area where he could come up and down. And so he was using my office in No. 11, and I took all my stuff out — but Akshata was insistent we left that there for him, to keep an eye on him as well.”

Emphasizing being a practising Hindu, he pointed out that he does not eat beef and “it has never been a problem”. It is noteworthy that the grandparents of Sunak moved from Punjab, India, to East Africa in the 1930s and then to Britain in the 1960s.

Rishi Sunak and UK’s ties with India

India has strong ties with the United Kingdom. With someone of Indian origin as PM of the UK may raise hope for some and questions for others if his ethnicity makes him prefer India or not. Being a British politician and a UK citizen, it is the first duty of Sunak to serve the people of the UK. What his appointment will mean for India will be decided through the diplomatic channel between India and the UK. It is too early for guesswork anyway.

In October 2020, when Rishi Sunak was the Chancellor of the Exchequer, he had a video conference with Finance Minister of India Nirmala Sitharaman and discussed economic ties with India.

At that time, Sunak pointed out that more than 800 Indian companies operate in the UK, employing more than 110,000 people. He hoped to create and secure more jobs by strengthening economic ties between India and the UK. Sunak’s first preference was and will be the people of Britain for whom he has been appointed to serve.

Sunak to work alongside farmers raising livestock for beef

Another pertaining note about the difference between the culture of India and the UK is that India is a Hindu-majority nation. Cow beef is banned in several states, and India does not export cow beef at all. The situation in the UK is different. People enjoy eating cow beef, and it is their eating habit. Though Sunak does not eat beef himself, he is going to support farmers raising livestock for beef.

In July 2022, Sunak said he would not tell anyone to eat less meat during an interview with the Telegraph. He said, “My constituency is home to hundreds of beef and lamb farmers, and I am committed to supporting the fantastic industry they represent. People’s food choices are their own, and I would lead a government that champions our livestock farmers at home and abroad.” Notably, in that interview as well it was clearly mentioned that Sunak being a Hindu, does not eat beef himself.

Resignation of Liz Truss from PM post

On October 20, then-Prime Minister of the UK Liz Truss resigned from her post, putting Rishi Sunak back in the race to become PM. Truss stayed in the office for 45 days. Truss made the statement outside Downing Street following her near-complete loss of political power. Liz Truss announced her resignation following the collapse of the markets after her controversial economic policies. She also lost two important ministers and lost the trust of nearly all of her own MPs. Truss will hold the record for the shortest tenure as prime minister of the UK.

On September 5 2022, Mary Elizabeth Truss, serving as the Foreign Secretary since 2021, emerged victorious in her race with Rishi Sunak to become the new Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. Liz Truss got over 57% of the votes compared to Sunak, who served as the Chancellor of the Exchequer in Boris Johnson’s administration before resigning, who could only get just over 42%.

It is interesting how initially, when Sunak lost, the trope used by the Leftists and Liberals in India was that the UK was saved from becoming Uttar Pradesh because according to them, Sunak was “too Hindu”. However, the moment it was clear that Sunak would lead the UK as its Prime Minister, the trope changed to claim that he was not even Hindu enough because he eats beef – a trope that according to Sunak’s statement earlier, is completely false. Of course, Sunak would work for UK’s interest and there is no reason yet to assume that he would be India’s ally, however, the attacks on his Hindu identity evidence the general Hinduphobia that exists among Leftists and Liberals.

0

On Monday, a Hindu activist named Prakash was brutally attacked by miscreants in the Shivamogga district of Karnataka. Around nine miscreants arrived on three bikes, raised anti-Hindu and anti-RSS slogans, and attacked the victim. Prakash has been injured severely in the clash and has been shifted to McGann hospital for treatment.

According to the reports, the incident is said to have happened at around 11 pm at Bhramappa layout in Shivamogga when the victim was returning home. He saw a couple of people on the bike tearing the posters of Harsha, the Bajrang Dal activist who was murdered by Islamists in February this year. His posters were put up in the city for a rally which was organized in the city on October 24.

As Prakash tried to stop the miscreants from tearing the posters and banners of Harsha, he was attacked on his head by three assailants causing severe injury. The three attackers also shouted slogans against the Hindu community and also threw stones at the victim. The police took cognizance of the incident and said that three teams have been formed to nab the accused.

“He suffered head injuries and was immediately shifted to a nearby hospital. Doctors treating Prakash conveyed that he is out of danger. Three teams have been formed to catch the accused. We are investigating if there is any link to Harsha, the Hindu activist who was murdered in February”, Superintendent of Police of Shivamogga, GK Mithun Kumar confirmed.

He further mentioned that the police have taken all of the CCTV videos into possession and are looking for the number plate of the miscreants’ bikes to apprehend them. Meanwhile, security has been increased around the district. Security has also been enhanced near the home of Harsha who was killed by the Islamists in February this year.

Prakash meanwhile revealed that he could not identify the assailants as they had worn masks while attacking. He also said that after the attack, the miscreants raised anti-RSS slogans. However, locals said that around nine people arrived at the spot before the attack and raised slogans against the Hindu community. After the attack, hundreds of Hindu activists gathered around the McGann hospital and demanded justice for the victim.

Senior police officers visited the location where the victim was attacked. The district government has also increased security in Seegehatti, Bhramarappa layout, and surrounding areas as a precaution. A complaint has been filed at the Doddapete police station, and a manhunt has been initiated to apprehend the suspect.

Harsha was stabbed to death by a group of Islamists on the night of February 20 this year. According to the reports, after the murder thousands of Bajrang Dal activists from around the city and nearby areas assembled in the Segehatti neighborhood, where the deceased lived. The activists had gathered to carry out a procession. Even during the march, there were reports of stone-pelting and vandalism, including the torching of many private vehicles and public property.

Coimbatore car blast: Jamesha Mubin was questioned by NIA in 2019 for links with Sri Lanka Easter bombing accused

The 25-year-old man who died in a blast outside a temple on Sunday in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, was questioned by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) in 2019 for his connections to a terrorist network linked to Zahran Hashim, the mastermind of the Easter Sunday bombings in Sri Lanka, as per reports.

According to an Indian Express report citing a source, Mubin was investigated by the NIA in 2019. “He was one among the five people we had to examine in 2019 since he had been attending Bayan classes at a Coimbatore mosque of the Tamil Nadu Thowheed Jamath (TNTJ). These classes were closely related to Mohammed Azarudeen, who had direct contact with Zahran Hashim, the mastermind and the leader of the suicide bombers in Easter Sunday blasts in Sri Lanka,” the source said.

Mubin was radicalised by Islamic state ideas, planned Sri Lanka Easter bombings-style attack

According to preliminary investigation reports cited by India Today, Mubin was radicalised by Islamic state ideas and was preparing an Easter bombings-style attack (2019 attacks that shook Sri Lanka) in Coimbatore, with plans to launch from Konniyamman temple or Kotta Eswaran temple.

Additionally, according to sources, he was formerly on the Tamilnadu police’s target list for attempting to blast an explosive a few years back. Because there wasn’t enough proof at the time, he wasn’t detained or arrested. Mubin is also said to be associated with Mohammed Azarudeen, who is currently incarcerated in Kerala due to his affiliation with ISIS.

Following the Sri Lankan bombings in a series, Azarudeen was arrested on many charges due to his complicity in the recruitment of several Tamil and Keralan youths. According to reports, he was an important member of the Tamil Nadu unit of the Islamic State.

Recovery of explosive substances

Mubin had two LPG cylinders in his car, along with other things like nails, when it exploded at 4 AM on Sunday. Because the explosion happened close to a temple, suspicions were heightened once the authorities discovered additional information about Mubin. In a subsequent operation, investigators found explosive materials like potassium nitrate, aluminium powder, sulphur, and charcoal in Mubin’s residence.

Coimbatore blast a possible “Fidayeen attack”

Reports are now emerging of Intelligence Agencies speculating that the blast was not detonation by mistake, however, was a confirmed “Fidayeen attack” or terrorist attack. According to an exclusive report by News18, several explosive items like Potassium nitrate, sulphate etc have been recovered from the house of Jamesha Mubin, the terrorist who was in the car that exploded.

Reportedly, on his phone display picture, Mubin had written, “if the news about my death reaches you, forgive my mistakes, hide my shortcomings, participate in Janaasa and pray for me”, the location of the explosion in the close proximity of a Hindu temple, the timing and other details have added to the suspicions that this was a terror attack.

Five more arrested including Feroz Ismail and Mohammed Navaz Ismail

On October 25, Coimbatore police said that five suspects in the cylinder blast case had been taken into custody, namely, Mohammed Talka, Mohammed Azarudeen, Mohammed Riyas, Feroz Ismail, and Mohammed Navaz Ismail.

The police investigating the incident are now apparently looking into the identity of four more people who are seen on CCTV footage loading the cylinders onto the car. Additionally, there are speculations that the NIA may seize control of the incident’s probe.

Following the incident, Tamil Nadu Bharatiya Janata Party president K Annamalai asserted that it was not an accident but rather a planned terror attack with ties to the Islamic State. He said that the DMK-led government in Tamil Nadu is withholding information about the incident.

Notably, Ukkadam is considered to be a sensitive area and has a Muslim-majority population. The blast on Sunday took place outside the famous ‘Kottai Eshwaran Temple.’ Since then, the police have been on high alert, and additional police personnel were deployed across Coimbatore, considering Diwali.

Pune court withdraws notice asking women lawyers not to fix their hair in open after severe backlash

0

On Tuesday, the Pune District Court withdrew a notice issued by it to the women advocates asking them not to arrange their hair in an open court. This is after the notice received a severe backlash from the netizens including Senior Advocate Indira Jaising.

The notice was issued by the Pune District Court on October 20 in which it asked the women advocates to refrain from fixing their hair in the open courtroom. The notice said that this act of women was disturbing the functioning of the court. “It is repeatedly noticed that women advocates are arranging their hair in open Court, which is disturbing the functioning of the Court. Hence, women advocates are hereby notified to refrain from the such act”, the notice read.

Senior Advocate Indira Jaising criticized the Court for issuing such an order and said, “Wow now look! Who is distracted by women advocates and why”. Also, journalist Nimisha Jaiswal criticized the court for the notice. “The power to impede justice lies in your hands (or hair?), ladies”, she tweeted.

While many other users slammed the notice and called it a misogynistic notice which demeaned women, reports mention that the notice was issued to maintain courtroom decorum and did not intend to hurt the sentiments of anybody. “Notice was issued only to maintain the decorum of the courtroom. It has been withdrawn to avoid any controversy”, one of the officials at the Registrar’s office was quoted.

Earlier, in one similar incident which happened in February this year, Justice Rekha Palli was addressed as ‘sir’ several times while she was in the Delhi High Court hearing a case. However, Justice Palli was eager to shut the lawyer who was referring to her in this manner. According to reports, Justice Palli answered, “I am not Sir. I hope you can make that out”.

The lawyer then apologized, but his explanation did not go down well with netizens. He explained that he made the mistake because of the ‘Chair’ she was sitting in.  Justice Palli then reacted angrily, claiming that the answer made matter worse since the lawyer believed the Chair is only for ‘Sirs’. She questioned him about what hope could be held for future generations if younger members were unwilling to cease the differentiation.

Muslim goons planned Diwali night attack in Pani Gate as celebrations irked them, VHP Vadodara Mantri says

Vishwa Hindu Parishad Vadodara Mantri Vishnu Prajapati, while speaking to OpIndia said that these riots in Pani Gate area of Vadodara on Diwali night were preplanned by Muslim goons in the locality. Notably, 19 suspects have been detained so far. As per Prajapati, there were celebrations on Diwali eve on Sunday as well where a DJ was invited. However, the local Muslim residents objected to the celebrations. They had even hurled abuses, he said.

Next day on Diwali, Prajapati said, that the Muslim goons in locality had planned riots and attacked the Diwali celebrations with petrol bombs. He added that the street lights were turned off before the attack took place and petrol bombs were hurled and stones were pelted towards Hindus celebrating Diwali. Reports say that Gujarat Police investigating the case have also said that the lights were switched off before the attack so that the perpetrators could not be identified, thereby indicating that the riots were preplanned.

The police reached the spot and brought things under control. Police is verifying CCTV footage and questioning eye witnesses to find out motivation behind it. Further investigation is currently underway. As per report published by DeshGujarat, the petrol bombs were hurled from the side of Muslim Medical store, a medical supplies shop, in the Muslim dominated area of Pani Gate towards Swaminarayan temple a few metres away.

‘Shirk’, ‘You’d go to hell’: Islamists attack Indian cricketer Zaheer Khan after he shares his picture celebrating Diwali

The Hindu festival of Diwali, which symbolizes the spiritual victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance was celebrated across the country with much grandeur and devotion. While many celebrities took to their social media accounts to wish citizens a Happy Diwali, the Islamist netizens slammed former Indian cricketer Zaheer Khan for wishing everyone a prosperous Diwali.

Khan on October 24 happened to post a picture on Twitter with his wife, actress Sagarika Ghatge to extend wishes for the ongoing Hindu festival of Diwali. “Happy Diwali from us to you”, he tweeted. The former cricketer was also seen sporting a tilak on his forehead. The Islamist netizens apparently didn’t like the post shared by Khan and schooled him for going against his religion.

One of the users identified as Hani Mirza on Twitter called India an anti-Muslim country while ‘blessing’ the couple. “Bless, I mean I can understand why you posted this picture in an anti-Muslim country, India where you have to live, unfortunately”, he tweeted. Meanwhile, another named Haroon Wani stated that though Muslims can have a love for every religion and zero per cent hate for any particular religion, they can’t celebrate festivals celebrated by other religions.

A Twitter quoted Khan’s tweet and said “shirk”. It is worth noting that idol worshipping or idolatry is considered an unpardonable sin as per Islamic texts and carries strict punishment. The Qur’an considers shirk as a sin that will not be forgiven if a person dies without repenting of it.

Another user shared a quote in which Mohammed Ali Jinnah, the founder of Pakistan was quoted saying, “Muslims who are opposing Pakistan will spend rest of their lives proving loyalty to India”. The user, who hailed from Pakistan, also termed Jinnah a legend and criticized Khan for wishing everyone on the Hindu festival of Diwali.

Also, one of the users identified as Waleed Afridi on Twitter could be seen attacking the former Indian cricketer on his Diwali post this year. He said that Khan had extended Diwali wishes forcefully to live in India. “Kia kuch kerna phadta hy India ma rehny k liye lol (What all a man has to do to live in India)”, the tweet read which was followed by a hilarious reply by a user who said, “1947 mai train choodni padhti hai (He has to leave the train to Pakistan in 1947)”.

It is notable that this is not the first time that the former Indian cricketer is being hated by Muslims for extending wishes on Diwali. Earlier in the year 2019, Khan was abused by radical fundamentalists. Also, recently, cricketer Mohammed Shami was slammed by radical Islamists for extending wishes on the occasion of Dussehra.

Zaheer Khan was a renowned pace bowler in the Indian cricket team. He was one of the world’s finest pacers of his time. His powerful left-arm bowling had consistently challenged several world-class batsmen and played a pivotal role in India’s 2011 world cup victory. The cricketer made his international cricket debut in the year 2000. The left-arm bowler appeared in 92 Tests, 200 ODIs, and 17 T20Is, bagging 311, 282, and 17 wickets, respectively. He also played six One-Day Internationals for Asia XI throughout his international career. Zaheer is the second most successful Indian pacer and the fourth most successful Indian bowler.

Five arrested in Coimbatore blast case where suspected ISIS suicide bomber Jamesha Mubin died inside car that exploded near temple

On October 25, Coimbatore police informed that they had arrested five people, identified as Mohammed Talka, Mohammed Azarudeen, Mohammed Riyas, Feroz Ismail, and Mohammed Navaz Ismail, in the cylinder blast case. A 29-year-old man identified as Jamesha Mubin of Kottaipudur, Ukkadam, was killed in the blast on October 23.

As per the police, the blast was triggered by an LPG cylinder in the vehicle. Reports say that intelligence agencies suspect it to be a terror attack and that Mubin might be a suicide member. During a search at Mubin’s house, the police recovered a large cache of explosive material. News agency ANI quoted DGP Sylendra Babu saying that the investigation into the matter was underway.

He said, “During the search at Jamesa Mubin’s residence in the Kottaimedu area in Ukkadam, we have recovered chemicals like Potassium nitrate, aluminium, and sulfur, which are used to make crude bombs. We have also recovered nails and ball bearing from the spot where the explosion happened. He is not affiliated with any Organizations.”

Notably, Ukkadam is considered to be a sensitive area and has a Muslim-majority population. The blast on Sunday took place outside the famous ‘Kottai Eshwaran Temple’. Since then, the police have been on high alert, and additional police personnel were deployed across Coimbatore, considering Diwali.

Interestingly, the Intelligence Agencies have also confirmed that CCTV footage of Mubin was seen loading the cylinder in the car and that footage is being investigated. The News18 report also says that authorities believe that Mubin was “circumcised” and that the attack could have a link to ISIS. In the attack, the asbestos of the temple was damaged, however, no other damage was caused.

While the blast took place in the wee hours of Sunday morning, on Saturday night, at around 11:25 PM, 5 men were taking out gunny bags from the house of Mubin, as confirmed by the CCTV footage recovered by the police.

In above CCTV footage, the suspects could be taking some material out from a house in a white bag.
