‘Kill the pigs’: African Swine fever in Rahul Gandhi’s Wayanad, authorities ask for immediate culling

Several cases of ‘African Swine Fever’ (ASF) were reported in two animal husbandry facilities in Kerala’s Wayanad district, putting two districts in north Kerala on high alert. After testing samples at the National Institute of High-Security Animal Diseases in Bhopal, the illness was diagnosed in the pigs of two animal husbandry centres in the Wayanad district.

According to an Animal Husbandry Department official, after the death of many pigs at a facility, samples were sent for testing. The findings have now verified this fever, and orders have been issued to slaughter 300 pigs. The department stated that measures are being made to prevent the infection from spreading.

In addition to Wayanad, a warning has also been issued in Kozhikode. The Kerala government banned the movement of pigs and their meat from neighbouring states two weeks ago. Health experts have also advised consumers to properly cook red meat before eating it.

Following a warning from the central government earlier this month, the state has so far increased biosafety precautions. According to the central government, incidences of ‘African Swine Fever’ have been detected in Bihar and various northeastern states. The Mizoram government also slaughtered around 37,000 pigs in May when the African swine fever virus was discovered.

African swine fever is a highly infectious viral illness that affects both wild and farmed pigs, with a high fatality rate. The virus is very resistant in the environment, according to the World Organization for Animal Health (WOAH), and may persist on garments, boots, wheels, and other materials. It may also flourish in swine products like ham, sausages, and bacon.

There is no vaccination for the illness, and it poses no harm to humans, although it has a significant impact on the pork sector and farmers’ livelihoods. As a result, if adequate safeguards are not undertaken, human behaviour can play a significant role in the transmission of this pig disease across borders.

Muslim boy who was assaulted and jailed for supporting Nupur Sharma is battling depression, in hiding after getting out on bail

Saad Ansari, the Muslim teen who was arrested for extending support to ex-BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma and was recently released on bail, is traumatised and under depression, his family said. Ansari, a 19-year-old engineering student from Mumbai’s Bhiwandi, was released on bail on June 27.

Ansari’s family while speaking to India Today revealed that Saad Ansari is a depression patient and has suffered severe trauma after being assaulted and arrested for extending support to Nupur Sharma. The saga began when Ansari shared a post on Instagram in support of Sharma.

“I am not in support of any religion. I fucking hate them all. I am just scared to live in a world where you and your family can be killed just because you spoke something about a man who died many years ago. Grow up guys. Ditch the religions which spread terrorism in the world and be human being. It’s just that simple. I already know how much hate I will get from posting this and prepared to be misunderstood because you people are still kids,” he had written in the post.

Muslim fanatics threaten and assault Saad Ansari for his post supporting Nupur Sharma

On June 11, a frenzied Muslim mob reached the his residence and forced him to come out of his house to confront him over the social media post. The boy pleaded with folded hands but the crowd refused to relent. He was forced to read the Kalma (Islamic phrases). As he proceeded to recite the verses, a man slapped him on his face while others continued to threaten him with physical harm. Later he was arrested on June 12.

One of the persons close to Ansari’s family revealed on July 22 that Ansari had probably shared the Instagram post due to the overdose of the depression medicines. He also added that the family of the teen boy was also shattered by the sequence of events and that they needed time to fully recover.

However, Saad’s family said that they have complete trust in the law and order of the country and demanded punishment for the persons who assaulted Saad.

To note, the persons who slapped and abused Saad called themselves Ashiq-e-Rasool (Lovers of the Prophet). On June 20, Saad Ansari’s initial bail application was denied. His lawyer, Narayan Iyer, said to India Today TV that the college student was only expressing his opinions and was not encouraging violence or hurting religious sensitivities.

“He was rather addressing his own community. He said people should not indulge in violence like it was across the country when the Nupur Sharma issue broke out. He was merely stating his own personal views which our Constitution allows under Article 19. He is a devout Muslim, an animal and nature lover with no malice towards anyone,” Iyer was quoted.

Video of former Congress corporator organising a mob outside Saad’s house goes viral

Meanwhile, a video of Baba Bauddin, a former Congress corporator, has gone viral. Baba is accused of organising a mob outside Saad’s house. When challenged with the allegations by India Today TV, the former Congress corporator rejected them. “I am a Muslim first and then a public representative. I did go to his house to resolve the issue and we went to the police station to register an FIR. Case was made against me as well.I was questioned by the police for two days. I will only say that one cannot play with religion and sentiments of people,” he said.

Lawyers file petition in Supreme Court against recently installed National Emblem atop new parliament building alleging illegal alteration

It seems the needless controversy over the national emblem installed on the new parliament will not stop soon. After opposition parties and left-liberals claimed that the four lions of the National Emblem look ferocious and aggressive, and they look different from the original Lion Capital in Sarnath, two lawyers have reached the supreme court against the installation.

Two Advocates-on-Record have petitioned the Supreme Court against the National Emblem erected atop the new parliament building, alleging that its design violates the State Emblem of India (Prohibition Against Improper Use) Act of 2005. Advocates Aldanish Rein and Ramesh Kumar Mishra claim that the lions represented in the emblem unveiled by Prime Minister Narendra Modi appear to be “ferocious and aggressive” with their “mouth open and canine visible unlike the State Emblem kept in the Sarnath Museum, where the lions appear to be “calm and composed”.

According to the petition, the Central Government has “manifested gross arbitrariness in violating the sanctity of the state Emblem”. The plea further states, “The state emblem of India is the mark of the Identity of the Republic of India. The Republic of India belongs to We the Indians. When this identity is interfered with, it hurts the national sentiments of its citizens.”

On July 11, Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled the National Emblem cast on the roof of the New Parliament Building. The majestic 6.5 meters tall cast of the National Emblem is made of bronze and weighs around 9,500 KG. Located on the top of the Central Foyer of the New Parliament Building, the statue has a supporting structure that weighs around 6,500 KG.

Several opposition parties have criticized the state emblem’s depiction of the four lions and claimed that the Modi government has disfigured the emblem in violation of the Constitution. After the photographs of the installation were published, they claimed that the Modi govt made the lions aggressive, opened their mouths more making their canine visible. However, the govt has rejected the claims, saying that the mouths of the lions look more open because the photos were taken from a lower angle. Moreover, the installation is much larger than the original Lion Capital, that’s why everything looks bigger creating an impression that the lions have been made more aggressive.

Sunil Deore, sculptor of the bronze lion capital, has made it clear that the cast is a replica of the sculpture at Sarnath only at a larger scale. He said that while the cast is bigger, the proportions are same. “We tried to keep in mind the exact proportions. The original structure is 3 to 3.5 feet high, but the new one is 21.3 feet tall,” he said. Deora also said that there was no influence on anyone on how to construct the cast. He also said that the photos being circulated on social media were taken from below at wide angle, creating the impression that the mouths are more open. He confirmed that there is no difference between the original and the one on the new parliament, and it is an authentic replica of the original. He said that the original was studied minutely before making the cast.

After Jharkhand, 19 state-run schools in Muslim-dominated areas in Bihar’s Kishanganj district observe weekly offs on Friday

19 state-run schools in the Kishanganj district of Bihar have been taking Friday off instead of Sunday, according to a report published in Dainik Jagran. As per the Education Department, because the region is predominantly Muslim, government schools have been shut on Fridays for a long time. This action is not mandated by any specific order by the government.

Friday is designated as a holiday in many schools due to the considerable proportion of Muslim students. Instead, students and teachers attend classes on Sundays. These schools include the city’s Line Urdu School, Upgraded Middle School Line Karbala, Upgraded Middle School Maheshbathna, Upgraded Middle School Halamala, Primary School Motihara West, and many others.

It is pertinent to note that these are not all Urdu schools, but rather regular schools. According to Jharna Bala Saha, principal of Line Urdu Middle School, it is a Hindi school. More than 80% of the kids at the institution are Muslim. Since the school’s founding, Friday has been designated as a  holiday for Namaz, with normal classes held on Sunday. The school was founded in 1901.

Subhash Kumar Gupta, Kishanganj District Education Officer, stated that Friday is a weekend in the district’s minority schools due to an established custom and such schools have been operating in this manner since their inception. There is, however, no order in this regard. He said that I  t will be discussed with top officials in order for these schools to run smoothly like other institutions. According to Shaukat Ali, DPO of the Education Department, the district has no minority schools. All of the schools that have Friday off are regular schools.

Notably, some Jharkhand government schools have lately been in the news for similar Islamization as the schools in Bihar. Several state-run schools were reported to have made changes in response to the demands of the local Muslim community. Schools in districts of Jamtara and Dumka were discovered to be having weekly offs on Fridays instead of Sundays.

Karnataka: ‘We earned a lot for future generations in the name of Nehru and Gandhis’, says Congress leader KR Ramesh Kumar

Karnataka Congress leader KR Ramesh Kumar said on 21st July 2022 that the Congress leaders have earned a lot of money in the name Nehru and Gandhis and it is now their turn to sacrifice for the family. This statement of the Congress leader came as a reaction to the investigation on Sonia Gandhiand Rahul Gandhi by the Enforcement Directorate in the National Herald case.

As Enforcement Directorate summoned Congress leader Sonia Gandhi for interrogation in connection with the National Herald case on 21st July 2022, Congress workers started protesting in different parts of the country. Senior Congress leaders also supported protests with their bizarre statements in an attempt to shield their supreme leader. KR Ramesh Kumar was no exception.

KR Ramesh Kumar said, “We have made money for our three-four generations in the name of Nehru, Indira, and Sonia Gandhi. Now if we can’t sacrifice for them, it won’t be good.” KR Ramesh Kumar actually attempted to support the supreme leader of his party but he ended up exposing himself and his party.

He said, “We’ve earned enough for 3-4 generations in the name of Pandit Nehru, Indira Gandhi & Sonia Gandhi. Now time to sacrifice has come. If we are not ready to repay those debts, I am afraid the food we eat will be infested with worms.”

Bharatiya Janata Party criticized this statement by the Congress leader. Karnataka’s home minister Araga Jnanendra said, “We have a lot of respect for Ramesh Kumar. His statement is serious & every Congressman should analyze themselves, and hand over whatever they made in name of Gandhi, and Nehru. It belongs to people & must be returned.”

Karnataka Health Minister Sudhakar K said, “Congratulations to the talented leader for describing the Congress party’s 60-year-old Loot India program in such a beautiful way. How do they ask for votes after accepting corruption so honestly?”

Indian Railways suffered ₹259 crores in damages caused by violence over Agnipath Scheme: Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw

On Friday (July 22), the Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw informed that the Indian Railways suffered a whopping loss of ₹259.44 crores due to damage and destruction caused during ‘the protest’ over the Agnipath scheme.

He made the revelation in the Upper House of the Parliament. The Agnipath scheme was launched by the Indian government, along with the chiefs of the three armed forces, on June 14 this year.

Under the scheme, youth between the age of 17.5 to 21 are to be recruited for a period of 4 years. While 25% will be retained in the armed forces, the remaining Agniveers will receive a sum of ₹11 lakhs and employment preferences in the Defence Ministry, police forces and paramilitary services.

Deliberate dissemination of misinformation by coaching centres and Youtubers triggered large-scale violence over the newly launched recruitment scheme.

Scores of armed forces aspirants took to the streets under the pretext of ‘peaceful protests’ and demonstrations. While demanding a rollback of the government scheme, they vandalised public property, burnt trains and brought life to a standstill across various States of India.

Violence over Agnipath scheme

In the Southern State of Telangana, students dissatisfied with the Agnipath recruitment scheme vandalised the Secunderabad railway station and set a train on fire.

The armed force aspirants also blocked the railway tracks in the Narwana town in the Jind district of Haryana. They were seen disrupting railway service and standing on railway tracks with a tricolour in hand.

In Palwal, the police had to fire aerial shots to disrupt the mob which was pelting stones at them. During the scuffle, several police vehicles were damaged and police personnel were injured.

Similar scenes were observed in Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh. Violent protestors, with their faces covered, were seen vandalising a railway station and throwing objects on the railway tracks.

In Uttar Pradesh, the violent mob of aspirants vandalised the windscreen of roadway buses on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway. They also set a train ablaze in Balia during the protest.

The fury of the ‘students’ reached its zenith in the state of Bihar. On Friday (June 17), they attempted to vandalise the Hajipur railway station but their plans were thwarted by the police.

The dawn of Hindu renaissance: Why Alt News co-founder Mohammed Zubair’s case is worth celebrating

There has been a lot of discussions and hand wringing about the fact that so-called fact checker and Hindu hater Zubair has been granted bail by the highest court of the land. As predicted by many, the judiciary showed its usual alacrity in giving expedited hearing and even asking the court clerk to type out just the operative part of the judgement to save time.

This is in a country where a judge told a man jailed for some SM post that “he is perfectly safe in jail” and another, a lady jailed for well over a month by a liberal regime for mere criticism, not only failed to shock the judiciary’s conscience, but she had to fight the battle at the lowest levels of court system, with none of the professional outragers making any noise. But then this was the norm when “Idea of India” was ruling.

Of course, let us not even mention the crores of pending cases with people rotting away in jail for years and decades simply waiting for their cases to be heard. They cannot get hearings, that too in multiple courts. Nor can they afford high priced lawyers. Or do fund raisers.

What matters is the likes of Rana, Mohammed Zubair, Teesta and Tejpal get expedited hearings, direct access to SC, some of the costliest lawyers in the country, all the money that George Soros or Ford Foundation or other moneybags can spare and of course, instant bail.

This can indeed be depressing to large sections of Indians. The impression one gathers is that rabid, visceral hate directed at Hindus, insulting their Gods gets you complete protection. And by asking Nupur Sharma to run around to dozen different courts and face near certain violence, the system was passing a de facto death sentence on her, without trial. Thankfully that was reversed by the Hon SC perhaps having realised the real meaning and effect of their words.

We are right to be paranoid – that all this is simply part of a well-funded pogrom on the last “pagan” faith that remains standing while indigenous faiths have been ruthlessly obliterated in Americas,  SEA, North East parts of India, China, Africa and many other parts of the globe.

That Mohammed Zubair committed the same sin that Nupur is being hounded for, that too on multiple occasions, is beyond any question.

Did you read about it in any of our fearlessly independent media? Did the Hon Court ask him why he deleted his FB account? Or why he deleted dozens of tweets? And ask him to swear under oath that those tweets were genuine or not? Consider that as evidence? Ask Twitter to release its archives?

Of course, not. We simply have two legal systems. And a free pass for Hinduphobia.

But amidst all this depressive set of news, let us cheer a small victory.

Yes, it is indeed a victory! Let me tell you why.

There was a time Isalmo-fascists, Hindu haters, Stalinist mass butcher left’s intellectual coolies and brown-nosed sycophants of fascist dacoit dynasties could go around in liberal mask and insult Hindus openly.

Today, they are forced to delete their SM accounts, go back in time to check their old posts and delete them. One can be pretty sure they will check their drafts a dozen times going forward.

Isn’t that something worth celebrating?

Hindus, torch bearers of the last remaining indigenous faith,  are slowly awakening. They would no longer tolerate rabid hate and will shout for justice, using the legal system. Not the sort of “justice” that Kanhaiya Lal faced and that our judiciary wanted Nupur to face until it reversed course and decided to protect “her life and liberty”.

Mind you, this legal system was drawn up by the same corrupt fascist crowd that today sings songs of freedom of expression. To the best of my knowledge Modi or NDA did not write any new laws or rules. The “idea of India” gang wrote the laws. They cheered its abuse and insulted its victims. They kept quiet when dissent was crushed under their boots.

Why? They were confident they will never end up in the wrong side of the gun.

Now they are furiously back-pedalling. Isn’t that something worth celebrating?

More importantly, Hindus are waking up to the pogrom and the existential threat posed by the all-weather alliance of Stalinist rapist butcher left and Islamo-fascists, further powered by dollar flow from Western lobbies with their own good reasons to obliterate their faith.

It is not going to be easy to take on and defeat this continuum. There will be losses. But their own weapons, perfected over years can be put to good use against them.

That is exactly what Zubair had to face. His own weapon.

He got out yes, but he is wiser. And so are the victims of his hate campaign.

Isn’t that worth celebrating?

“This isn’t the time for ‘whataboutery’, ego or anger”: Opposition VP candidate Margaret Alva to Mamata Banerjee after TMC decided to abstain from voting

Congress leader Margaret Alva, who is the opposition candidate for the vice-presidential election, has slammed Trinamool Congress for deciding to abstain from the polls. Yesterday TMC had said that it will abstain from the polls as the party was not consulted while selecting the opposition candidate.

The decision was taken by TMC after a party meeting chaired by party chief Mamata Banerjee. The party was unhappy that it was not consulted while choosing Margaret Alva as the candidate from the opposition for the poll of vice president.

Reacting to this decision of Trinamool, Margaret Alva today took to Twitter to criticise the party for the decision, saying it is disappointing. She added, “this isn’t the time for ‘whataboutery’, ego or anger. This is the time for courage, leadership & unity.”

Calling Mamata Banerjee the epitome of courage, Alva added that she believes that the Bengal CM will stand with the opposition.

Margaret Alva will be contesting against NDA candidate Jagdeep Dhankar, the current governor of West Bengal. The election will take place on 6th August, and votes will be counted on the same day. In the election for the Vice-President, the members of Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha vote, including the nominated members of the upper house.

TMC’s decision to abstain from the election comes after a surprise meeting Jagdeep Dhankar had with Mamata Banerjee and Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma on 13th July at Summer Raj Bhawan in Darjeeling in North Bengal. The meeting was held days before Dhankar was announced as the NDA candidate.

While both the CMs had said that it was a courtesy call, many had raised curiosity on the unusual meeting. And after the announcement of Jagdeep Dhankar as the candidate for the vice president, it was speculated that the election was discussed in the meeting.

Udaipur: Business in the area where Kanhaiya Lal was killed reduces by 90%, most of the shops remain shut as customers stay out of the area

Almost a month after a Hindu tailor named Kanhaiya Lal was murdered by two Islamic radicals in Rajasthan’s Udaipur for supporting Nupur Sharma, several reports have surfaced saying that the business in the area where the incident occurred on June 28 has reduced by 90 percent. Kanhaiya Lal was murdered in the Maladaas street area which is known as one of the crowded markets of Udaipur.

According to the Dainik Bhasker report, there are a total of 15 shops on Maladaas street in Udaipur which generated good business until June 28. After the murder of the Hindu tailor, almost 13 of the total 15 shops prefer to remain shut. People including the customers and the shopkeepers are scared to even enter the street for business.

Kanhaiya Lal was killed by two Islamic radicals named Mohammed Riyaz and Mohammed Ghous for extending support to ex-BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma after her alleged ‘blasphemous’ remarks. The Islamists, who had entered the shop pretending to be customers, slit Kanhaiya Lal’s throat and stabbed him around 26 times on his body, especially on the neck. They also shot the murder on a video and released it on social media platforms. After the incident, the killers had released a video claiming responsibility for the act. The duo had also threatened PM Modi of murder.

One of the tailors named Mahavir from the Maladaas street who owns the ‘Latest Tailors’ shop spoke to Dainik Bhasker. He said that his shop is close to deceased Kanhaiya Lal’s shop and mentioned that people were scared to enter the area after Kanhaiya’s murder.

“It has been more than 20 days, but people are still scared. Two people work in my shop. One of them is sick. The second one is scared after the massacre. He informed me that he doesn’t want to work here. His family is not allowing him to leave the house for work. Everyone is scared and shocked to see a policeman standing in uniform outside our shop. Policemen stand outside the shop for two rounds every day”, he added.

According to another businessman named Mayank Lodha who is a gold trader in Udaipur, the customers call the shopkeepers to ask about the market situation before leaving their houses. “Before the customer comes, they call and ask about the condition of the market. They decide to come here only after knowing that everything is normal”, he said. He also added that after Kanhaiya Lal’s murder several other businessmen also received death threats which increased the level of panic in the city.

However, SP Vikas Sharma informed the media that now the market is completely normal. He stated that the Police personnel deployed at Malda’s street talks to the business owners daily. “Three businessmen have received death threats after Kanhaiya Lal’s murder. Investigation in all three cases is underway to discover the identity of the callers. The police are also taking the help of cyber cell”, he added assuring that there is no need for any customer or businessman to survive in fear.

The curfew-like situation continues to scare the citizens of Udaipur even after 24 days of the brutal murder.

Hate crime in Rajasthan: Tensions prevail in Alwar as a group of Muslim youths thrash a Sikh man, chop off his hair

Tensions simmered in Milkapur village in Alwar, Rajasthan, after 4-5 Muslim youths allegedly harassed and assaulted one Gurbaksh Singh, a former granthi of a Gurudwara located in the area. The miscreants reportedly accosted the victim, beat him up, threw red chilli powder in his eyes, and chopped his hair, something Sikhism prohibits its followers from doing.

Several members of the Sikh community came to the streets and staged a dharna outside the Alwar PS in Rajasthan to protest against the harassment meted out at Gurbaksh Singh on the night of Thursday, July 21.

In a video that has gone viral on social media, the victim, Gurbaksh Singh narrated what transpired with him on the night of July 21. He alleged that around 9 pm on Thursday, he was on his way from his home in Milakpur to Alavada to buy medicines when he was allegedly waylaid by the miscreants. The youths asked him to stop his bike and park it on one corner of the road. They then dragged Gurbaksh Singh to a deserted corner and threw red chilli powder in his eyes.

Gurbaksh Singh further recalled that the miscreants pinned him down, put a knife on his neck and were about to kill him but suddenly stopped and confirmed his name. The petrified Gurbaksh Singh introduced himself and told them that he was the former Granthi of a Gurudwara in Milakpur.

Upon learning that the victim was a Sikh, the miscreants decided against killing him and called one of the man named ”Jumma”, who asked them to instead cut off his keshas (unshorn hair), which is prohibited under Sikhism. The miscreants then fled leaving Gurbaksh Singh in an injured state.

Around 15 minutes later, when Gurbakh Singh regained consciousness and got a hold of himself, he narrated the ordeal to some locals who took him to the community health centre for treatment. The villagers reported the incident to the local police station.

After getting the information, Alwar Superintendent of Police Tejaswini Gautam, Additional SP Sarita Singh, ADM Akhilesh Peepal, Shivaji Park Police Station incharge Ramniwas Meena and Ramgarh Police Station incharge Surendra Kumar reached the community health centre to meet Gurbaksh Singh.

The victim gave the police all the details of the incident. The police, in turn, assured to launch an investigation in the matter. The enraged villagers, meanwhile, gheraoed the police station and demanded an expeditious investigation into the incident. They demanded that the miscreants who had fled the scene of the crime after the incident, be apprehended quickly and dealt with strictly.

This incident comes on the heels of the recent brutal beheading of a Hindu tailor Kanhaiya Lal in Udaipur, Rajasthan by two Islamists Mohammad Riyaz and Ghouse Mohammad for supporting Nupur Sharma on social media.

Following the murder of Hindu tailor Kanhaiya Lal in Udaipur on June 28, his killers Mohammed Riyaz Akhtar and Mohammed Gos escaped the scene on a bike with number 2611.  26-11 is the date of the Mumbai Terror Attack. The killers were nabbed by the Police 130 KM away from Udaipur at Bhim Highway. This case is being investigated by the National Investigation Agency (NIA).
