I am not ruling out the possibility of an alliance with the BJP in future: Maharashtra CM and Congress ally Uddhav Thackeray

Shiv Sena chief and Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray, on Sunday, in an interview with Shiv Sena mouthpiece-Saamana, said that there is a possibility of BJP and Shiv Sena to form an alliance in future.

“I am not saying that we will never unite with them (BJP) again,” Thackeray said.

In the interview that was hosted by motormouth Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut, Thackeray stated the reason for allying up with the ideologically disparate parties of NCP and Congress in Maharashtra. “I had decided to go on any extent to fulfil the promise made to my father- Balasaheb Thackeray, about making a Shiv Sainik chief minister of Maharashtra. When I realised that I can’t achieve the promise made to my father by staying with the BJP, I had no option but to accept the bigger responsibility.”

BJP and Shiv Sena fought the Maharashtra Assembly elections together. However, the relations between the two alliance partners strained over the dispute of the rotational chief ministerial post.

Shiv Sena eventually broke away with its long-time partner- BJP and formed a tenuous alliance with Congress and NCP to stake a claim at the government in Maharashtra. The alliance-Maha Vikas Aghadi finalised Uddhav Thackeray as the Chief Minister of the state while the deputy chief minister position went to the NCP and the Speaker of the Assembly to the Congress party.

“If they had fulfilled their promise and not lied to me, I would have never become the chief minister of Maharashtra. I only asked them to honour the pre-poll promises,” Thackeray added, stating that he was “sandwiched” between the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and former CM Devendra Fadnavis, both of whom addressed him as their younger brother.

However, it is notable to mention that the BJP has vehemently denied getting into a pre-poll agreement with the Shiv Sena over the rotational chief ministerial post. Union Home Minister Amit Shah had said that both he and PM Modi had declared in the election campaign rallies that if the alliance wins the elections, Devendra Fadnavis will be the chief minister of the state. “Nobody objected back then, now they have come up with a new set of demands which is unacceptable to us,” Shah said.

We are not like Congress and Kejriwal. Naa Biryani khaate hain, naa khilate hain, terrorists will get bullets: UP CM Yogi Adityanath

Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath gave an interview to the BBC on the 3rd of February with elections in Delhi only five days away. The interview revolved around the looming Delhi elections and the speeches made by him in his rallies. Given the history of the BBC, it was only to be expected that the questions will be loaded in some instances.

During the course of the interview, the BBC said, “Recently, you had given a statement that since Modi has become Prime Minister, his government has been giving terrorists bullets instead of biryani.” The Saffron-clad Mahant of Gorakhnath Muth responded, “I have said the right thing. We are not the sort of people who feed biryani. Naa hum Biryani khaate hain aur na khilate hain (Neither do we eat biryani nor do we feed it). I said it because the Congress party and Kejriwal used to do such things and that is why I said that terrorists will get bullets now, not Biryani. Don’t link it to religion.”

In another instance, the BBC asked, “Was it alright to say that people from a certain community are sitting under blankets and put forward their women?” The BBC was referring to Yogi Adityanath’s comment recently when he said, “What a big crime, men are sleeping in their houses under the blankets, and the women are made to sit on the streets.”

Yogi Adityanath clarified, “I said that those who are have put forward their women and children in the name of CAA while sleeping under the blankets themselves, there cannot be greater cowardice than that.” The Chief Minister of UP also mentioned how his government was recovering the cost of the damaged public property from the rioters themselves.

The election campaign in Delhi has reached a feverish pitch with Shaheen Bagh featuring prominently in the political discourse of every party. The BJP has strongly hit back at the Aam Aadmi Party and the Congress for their support to the anti-CAA protesters. The prolonged disruption at the national capital has also irked a great many citizens of Delhi.

In the same interview, Yogi Adityanath also said that the Muslims had not done India any favour by choosing to remain here post the partition of the country. The BBC, for its part, appeared consistent in its liberal agenda given the loaded nature of the questions. Time and again, they have peddled narratives that are not conducive to Indian national interests. They also tend to blame nationalism for every malady under the sun including, but not limited to, fake news.

India’s manufacturing sector growth in January rises to an 8-year high, economic recovery in coming months expected

The economy has shown strong signs of revival as India witnessed the fastest growth of manufacturing activity in nearly eight years in January. The first month of 2020 saw a sharp rise in new business and production, a private survey showed on Monday.

The IHS Markit India Manufacturing Purchasing Manager’s Index rose to 55.3 in January from 52.7 in December. The reading was highest since February 2012 and above the 50-mark, that separates growth from the slump for the 30th straight month.

In a news release, principal economist at IHS Markit, Pollyanna De Lima said, “The PMI results show that a notable rebound in demand boosted the growth of sales, input buying, production and employment as firms focused on rebuilding their inventories and expanding their capacities in anticipation of further increases in new business.”

The robust growth in manufacturing and production provided a boost in employment as factories hired new workers at the quickest rate in more than seven years since August 2012. New business growth and projects in the pipeline were cited as the main reasons for increase in job creation. A sub-index tracking new orders revealed that the overall demand soared to its highest level since December 2014 and output expanded at its quickest pace in over seven and a half years.

The report said that the consumer goods sector contributed the most the growth, but growth was maintained in intermediate goods also, while capital goods moved to growth after showing contraction in earlier months.

The survey also indicated a strengthening demand from external markets, evident by a brisk increase in export orders since November 2018. Manufactures registered higher sales to clients in Asia, North America, Europe, with favourable exchange rates contributing further to the growth.

The forecast by analysts in a Reuters poll month held last month stated that if the growth momentum is sustained, it could lead to economic recovery in the coming months.

In addition, both input costs and output prices grew at a moderate rate, signifying that the overall inflation may have slackened off after hitting a five year high of 7.35 per cent in December.

Furthermore, the Indian manufacturers had an optimistic view of the production outlook for 2020. The optimism had its origins from strong demand forecast, capacity expansion, new product release, marketing efforts and new client acquisitions.

‘Muslims did not do India any favour by choosing to remain here after partition’: Yogi Adityanath

The Delhi elections are only five days away. With the elections campaigns reaching a feverish pitch, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath gave an interview to BBC. He has been campaigning in Delhi for the BJP and his remarks in his rallies have attracted a lot of attention. As expected, the Saffron-clad Mahant of Gorakhnath Muth was asked some pointed questions by the BBC on the ongoing protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act and NRC.

The BBC asked Yogi Adityanath if it wasn’t true that the Muslims protesting against the CAA and NRC today are the descendants of those who had rejected moving to Pakistan in 1947, a country that was created on the basis of religion. The Chief Minister of UP responded by saying that they hadn’t done India any favour by choosing to remain in India.

Yogi Adityanath said, “They hadn’t done any favour. They hadn’t done any favour to India. When India was partitioned, it should have been opposed. Arguments in favour of India must be supported. Those which are against India must be opposed. This is what our nationalism says and it is also the duty of every Indian citizen.”

It is pertinent to mention here that Sharjeel Imam, the mastermind of the Shaheen Bagh protests who urged Muslims to cut off North East India from the rest of the country indefinitely, had said that Muslims did not choose to stay in India due to secularism or any such thing. He had said that Muslims chose to stay in India due to their property and other reasons.

The BBC has a history of dubious reporting about India. And the specific question asked to Yogi Adityanath here appears consistent with its liberal bias. For instance, it has been peddling a fake narrative about Kashmir since the 1990s. There have been numerous occasions in the past when the BBC has lied outright in order to achieve its desired political objective. There was also the time in 2018 when they blamed nationalism for the rise of fake news in India.

London: Terrorist who went on stabbing spree wanted girlfriend to behead her parents, thought raping Yazidi women permissible per Quran

0

On Sunday, a 20-year-old terrorist from Harrow, Sudesh Amman, was shot dead by the police after he went on a stabbing spree in Streatham, London. The Muslim terrorist’s real name was Sudesh Mamoor Faraz Amman and he was an ISIS and Al-Qaeda supporter. He was wearing a “fake suicide bombing vest”. Three people had been injured with one being in a critical state. The Metropolitan police have now dubbed this incident to be “Islamist related.”

The machete-wielding terrorist was convicted in 2018 for possessing and distributing terrorist documents. Amman was sentenced to more than 3 years in prison. At the age of 17, he began committing terrorism offences. The police recovered material about making explosives and executing terrorist attacks from his phone and computer.

Amman had confessed to his family and girlfriend, the desire to carry out acts of terror. In 2017, he had told his brother in a message, “the Islamic State is here to stay.” According to him, raping Yazidi women after enslaving them is permissible in the Quran. The radical Islamist also encouraged his girlfriend to behead her parents. Moreover, Amman had confided in his sibling that he would rather “blow himself up” in school.

He was recently released from prison and was under active surveillance by anti-terror police. The area where Amman went on a stabbing spree was cordoned off by helicopters, armed vehicle and uniformed officers. People were evacuated from their homes.

A 19-year old eye witness Gulled Bulhan recollected “I was crossing the road when I saw a man with a machete and silver canisters on his chest being chased by what I assume was an undercover police officer – as they were in civilian clothing. The man was then shot. I think I heard three gunshots but I can’t quite remember. After that, I ran into the library to get to safety. From the library, I saw a load of ambulances and armed police officers arrive on the scene.”

The British Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, thanked the emergency services and shared his thoughts with the victims.

This is not the first time that a radical Islamist had unleashed terror on the streets of London. Earlier in 2019, Pakistan origin Usman Khan had stabbed multiple people near the iconic London Bridge, before being shot dead by the police.

Uttar Pradesh: 40 members of Islamist PFI arrested so far for inciting anti-CAA riots, 10 in the last 24 hours alone

The Uttar Pradesh government has been on mission-mode to arrest the culprits behind the antii-CAA riots that broke out in various parts of Uttar Pradesh earlier. Bhainsa: Journalist reports how Muslim mobs attacked Hindu homes amidst chants of ‘Allah ho Akbar’, Telangana govt targets him with FIRs

The Telangana Government has filed two FIRs against a Hyderabad-based journalist, Sridharan Siddhu, for exposing the truth about the Bhainsa violence. He has been booked under Section 153A for promoting enmity between different religious groups, reported the Organiser.

On January 13, a communal clash broke out between Hindus and Muslims in Bhainsa, Telangana. Mobs burnt down 18 houses and several vehicles. Violence broke out when a few aged man (belonging to the Hindu community) in the town reprimanded local Muslim youth for reckless driving. The Telangana government is, however, of the view that the clash broke out due to personal enmity.

Sridharan Siddhu did a ground report on the Bhainsa violence. He talked to several Hindu families, victimised by the communal clash. In a 27-minute-long video that was uploaded on Facebook, the journalist spoke about the terror unleashed by the Muslim mob. The horrifying story of arson, vandalism, stone pelting, and intimidation was narrated by the victims.

He reported, “On January 12, bullets and petrol bombs were thrown where a Muslim mob with cries of ‘Allah ho Akbar’, ‘Pakistan zindabad’, ‘We will keep your female Gods’, etc and attacked Hindu houses with weapons.”

The Hindu families were threatened to vacate their houses within 3 months. The Muslim mob also robbed gold and silver ornaments after they barged into Hindu homes during the violence. In his report, Siddhu highlighted that Muslim women were too complicit in violence. The victims felt sorry for not being able to protect their temples and idols.

Siddhu narrated, “They (the Muslim mob) even stole ornaments from Hindu homes and gold that was prepared for the marriage of one of the victim’s sister was also taken away. This was narrated by an old man who was crying after the losses he suffered in the attack”

The journalist said that the government came to the rescue of the victims when a similar communal clash took place in 2008. He complained that the TRS government has turned a blind eye to the ordeal of the victims in the recent violence.

He reported, “Ironically the police themselves had first confirmed the involvement of Muslims in the attack. Hindus who were injured were taken to the hospital by the police themselves who had come to the area to control the situation. But now, the same police under political pressure have registered false cases against the same Hindus instead of bringing the real perpetrators to book.”

Siddhu also reported that the Hindu community are enraged about the “minority appeasement” undertaken by the KCR-led-government. They feel that such “minority vote bank” politics will turn Telangana into Pakistan.

“Remember that Hindus are also humans who deserve their Human rights”, he sighed. In response to the FIR filed against him by the Telangana Government, Siddhu released another video wherein he reiterated that he was speaking the truth and was being impartial and honest in his duty as a journalist. He also complained that he was being targeted by many, both on the Internet and otherwise, for exposing the coverup.

The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) has squarely blamed the ruling dispensation for backing “Islamic fundamentalists”. The organization has also alleged that TRS and AIMIM were hand-in-gloves to stir communal tension in the state.

Keeping aside political blame-game, it is the responsibility of the KCR-led-government to investigate the Bhainsa violence and bring the perpetrators to justice. However, it is now targeting the messenger instead of taking the message earnestly.

Actress Sonam Kapoor admits that her father, Anil Kapoor is connected to Dawood Ibrahim through ‘Indian Cricket’: Here is what happened

Actress Sonam Kapoor Ahuja seems to be have made an inadvertent error. In her zeal, she seems to have admitted that her father, Anil Kapoor, is connected to gangster and terrorist Dawood Ibrahim who was responsible for the Mumbai blasts of 1993.

Sonam Kapoor had initially tweeted about the shooting that took place near Jamia. A man had fired two shots in the air and essentially said that in this country, only Hindus will prevail. Several questions were also raised about the authenticity of this ‘shooting’ since it happened only days after one Gulshan (name changed) fired a shot outside Jamia, and that shooting too, was suspicious.

Sonam Kapoor tweeted that this is something she ‘never imagined would happen in India’, clearly forgetting the Muslim mobs that ran riots for weeks after the passage of the Citizenship Amendment Act only recently. She further said, “Stop this divisive dangerous politics. It fuels HATE. If you believe yourself to be a Hindu then understand that the religion is about Karma and dharma and this is not either of those”.

Sonam Kapoor is known to be anti-Modi and not particularly bright when it comes to making political statements. Her hypocrisy has also been exposed several times on Social Media.

Since Sonam Kapoor did not utter a word when Muslim mobs were running riots and was more than willing to jump on the propaganda bandwagon about these recent incidents where clearly, questions on the authenticity of these incidents have been raised, fuelled a spate of responses to the actress.

Journalist Ashok Shrivastav was one of the people who responded to her tweet.

Ashok Shrivastav asked Sonal Kapoor Ahuja that she is generally very vocal about her opinions and hence, she should also tell the country what relation did her father, Anil Kapoor, have with terrorist Dawood Ibrahim. Taunting her for her previous tweet, he asked whether that relationship between her father Anil Kapoor and Dawood Ibrahim was of ‘Karma’ or ‘Dharma’.

Read: Sonam Kapoor becomes ‘Hindu brown female actor’ when called out for her hypocrisy on sexual harassment at Saudi Arabia concert

To that, Sonam Kapoor responded with a rather surprising tweet.

She admitted that the relationship between Terrorist Dawood Ibrahim and her father was of ‘Cricket. Indian Cricket’. Essentially, she implicitly said that Anil Kapoor and Dawood Ibrahim were connected not through ‘Karma’ (deeds) or ‘Dharma’ (religion), but through cricket.

One imagines that Sonal Kapoor must have thought that she is perhaps retorting with a snazzy and ‘secular’ response, however, she ended up admitting that her father was indeed connected to the terrorist through cricket.

In another response, Sonam said ‘He went to a cricket match with raj kapoor and krishna Kapoor. And was in a box to see it. I think you need to stop pointing fingers and there are three that point back at you . I hope lord Ram can forgive you for being evil and spreading violence’.

Interestingly, this is Sonam pointing fingers at a journalist who is asking questions while defending her father for meeting terrorist Dawood Ibrahim to watch a cricket match. Dawood Ibrahim is responsible for serial bombing Mumbai in 1993 that left several dead.

Srivastav replied that when one points a finger at others, three fingers point to oneself, andd since Sonam indulges in propaganda, that is why other fingers were pointing at her.

To that, the journalist too responded sarcastically saying that he was not aware that the terrorist Dawood Ibrahim is also a ‘cricketer’.

For the sake of background, one must recall the infamous picture of Anil Kapoor along with terrorist Dawood Ibrahim.

Reportedly, this was a cricket match that was attended by Dawood Ibrahim and Anil Kapoor together and they were clicked. The match was reportedly between India and Pakistan.

TMC goons, including party leader tie woman and thrash her for protesting against forceful takeover of land for road construction in Bengal

Another brutal attack in Mamata Banerjee led West Bengal has come to light, allegedly by TMC goons. On the 2nd of February 2019, a primary school teacher in Gangrampur of South Dinajpur district was tied with a rope, dragged and beaten up by a group of people. The group of people also included a local TMC leader Amal Sarkar. The teacher who was thrashed has been identified as Smriti Kana Das.

Reportedly, Smriti Kana Das was thrashed by TMC goons because she protested against the TMC’s bid to acquire her land forcibly for the construction of a road.

Post the heinous incident, the primary school teacher who was thrashed resigned and a complaint was filed against the 5 people, including the TMC leader who thrashed her.

Read: West Bengal: Two persons die after TMC goons open fire and hurl bombs at anti-CAA protesters in Murshidabad

Amal Sarkar who was a part of the group who thrashed the primary school teacher was the Panchayat Deputy Pradhant from the ruling TMC party.

“When I raised my voice, TMC workers, including Sarkar, beat me up. They tied my legs with a rope and dragged me for several metres. I have lodged a complaint with the police” the primary teacher who is undergoing treatment at a local hospital said.

A senior police officer said, “We have received a complaint in this regard and we are looking into it. The investigation is on”.

Reportedly, TMC has suspended Amal Sarkar pending an investigation into the allegations that he was a part of the mob that thrashed the primary school teacher.

BJP has said that Smriti Kana Das is a worker of the party. BJP MP from Balurghat, Sukanta Majumdar, said, “She is our party worker. She was severely beaten up. Only TMC can inflict such horrific attack on our workers. This clearly shows why the law and order situation has worsened in West Bengal.”

Jamia Millia Islamia students claim that two unidentified people fired shots near University, FIR filed: Here are the details

0

At about midnight on 3rd January 2019, an incident of firing was reported from Jamia Millia Islamia University by the students of the University. The Jamia Coordination Committee claimed that the shooting was done by two unidentified bike-bourse assailants near Gate number 5 of the University, though no injuries were reported.

After the shooting, a crowd had almost immediately gathered outside Jamia and had started sloganeering. One can prominently hear ‘Delhi Police Haye Haye’ slogans being raised outside Jamia.

As per the students’ claims, one of the assailants was wearing a red jacket and the number of the scooty from which they allegedly fired was 1532.

Post the incident of the alleged shooting, people had gathered outside the Jamia police station and demanded that an FIR be filed.

At around 1:30 AM, the FIR was filed by the Delhi police.

It is pertinent to note here that as of now, though an FIR has been filed, the claims of shots being fired is only by the students of Jamia. Even the ‘eye-witness’ accounts that have emerged is of the students and nobody else so far.

“Police officers at Jamia Nagar went to the place and searched the area. No empty bullet shells were found there. Also, there were different versions of the vehicle in which the alleged miscreants came. Some said it was a scooter, others said it was a four-wheeler. Many people, including students, have gathered outside the police station. They will be asked to give a complaint. We will conduct a probe,” said senior police officer Kumar Gyanesh.

This is the third incident of shooting that has been reported from the Jamia-Shaheen Bagh area in the past few days. These incidents are being seen with some amount of suspicion since there are several questions, primarily of timing, that remain unanswered.

Earlier, a teen named Gulshan (name changed) had fired a shot outside Jamia where one bystander was injured. There were several questions that were raised regarding that incident and suspicions of the incident being staged, ahead of Delhi elections, were raised. Gulshan had posted on his Facebook profile right before the shooting saying that he was doing it to avenge the killing of another teen called Chandan Gupta who was killed during a Tiranga Yatra.

The second incident came days ago where one individual fired shots near Shaheen Bagh, carefully in the air. When being arrested, he claimed that ‘In this country, only what Hindus say would be considered’. The incident appeared staged since the man fired only in the air and even gave willing sound bytes to the media, trying excessively hard to prove that he was a ‘nationalist’.
